We wanted Thai food this evening and our usual favorite location wasn't picking up their phone so we looked online and found this spot. Don't discredit this location, their food is delicious. While it's in a hectic part of town, it's definitely a gem. We had to circle the blocks till it was ready and it was worth the wait. The spice on the curries was perfect. The noodles were the perfect texture to absorb the other flavors in the food. Alone the noodle dish was bland. The surprise dish we got was some sort of garlic, spice with egg. I was expecting a crispy garlic chicken dish but this was a nice add to our meal. Over all, the food was good. Thanks for providing a great meal!

Came here after work for sum quality pad Thai This place is so bland it's not even funny, comes with very little sauce and a bunch of pepper flakes to make it spicy. Tip: if you have to ask whether they have a star system it's probably not going to be that good as I had to ask how spicy it was going to be and she told me 5 so I dropped it down to 3 and it's still too spicy. Could be me but the fish sauce is a bit overwhelming as well. Sad to say I probably will not return

I brought some other friends this time for my 3rd visit. I got the green curry and my friends got the panang curry, pad thai and pad kee mao. My green curry was too sweet compared to last time. I prefer it more savory. The coffee was just as good as last time. They use half and half so it's not for those that are lactose intolerant. My friend asked for non diary milks and they didn't have any so she opted to have them do condensed milk. My other friend thought the pad kee mao was a bit bland and doused it in hot sauce but liked the noodle texture. At 7pm, I saw them turn away walk in customers because she said they had too many to go orders already so plan accordingly.

I thought I knew what Thai food taste like, but this place CHANGE THE GAME! A literal hole in the wall. I've been coming to Chinatown all my life and never noticed this place. It is very small and easily missed. Located across from the link station. Inside, it is very cute and has a homey vibe to it. The restroom is located behind the kitchen which gets kind of awkward because you would have to walk through the kitchen to get there. Food - I got the pad see ew chicken. They don't have beef option. Large pieces of chicken breast and is very generous with the meat portion. Price is comparable to other Thai restaurants. I was most definitely thrown off by the presentation. My immediate impression when the dish was brought out was that I wasn't gonna like it/ won't taste good because it had lack of color. At other Thai restaurants the coloring is darker but this was more white(?). Anyways, took my first bite and BOY OH BOY was I wrong. It was spectacular! This is the first place I've eaten at where they use Chinese broccoli instead of American broccoli. I wasn't even that hungry, but if tasted very authentic. I can't believe I just found this place. Their menu is very limited. A few curries and a few noodle staples such as the pad see ew and pad Thai. I can't wait to come back to try their other dishes!

Food has always been excellent; however, their online ordering service system is pretty sh!tty. Multiple times, they've sent confirmations stating order completion with pick-up time but when I showed up, the food wasn't ready nor were they open!! I waited an extra 20 mins Today and that's why I decided to write this review. This restaurant is open only during weekdays/lunch hours, so they should know that most people who order from them are working and have a limited time. Their food has always been good so I'm giving them the 2 stars. However, they need to work on their online ordering service and their customer service. A simple apology goes a long way.

Pad See Ew

Not bad. Nothing special. We got the pad thai, pad see ew, and tapioca pudding. Pad Thai and Pad See Ew were fine, but there are plenty other Thai places in Seattle that are much better. The Tapioca pudding did not look appetizing. It looked like something you would buy at bath and body works. Lime green and slimy, but surprisingly it was pretty tasty.

Pad See Ew and Pad Kee Mow!

Easy to miss, but you probably wouldn't want to! Definitely a mom and pop shop, with solid food. Interesting choices as they have a curry of the day, but other curries and noodles available. A little questionable with the ambience/aroma, but don't let that deter you from the food. Ended getting the pad see ew and pad kee mao. I know... it's not curry. But noodles are a go to with Thai restaurants! I noticed that if you get curry, your food comes pretty instantly after you order. I assume their curries are already ready and they just need to top it on the rice of your choice. The noodles on the other hand, took about 10-15 minutes to come out. Both the pad see ew and pad kee mao were flavorful! It's nice that they offer either chopsticks or a fork to eat with. Also great to have the chili oil to add spice if you want more of a kick to your food. Great simple service as they fill up your water when they notice it. I guess I should come back to try a curry dish. Thanks, Thai Curry Simple!

great cursive, too!

After going through all of the online stuff for this place (site, reviews, etc.), I thought to myself now this has gotta be above-the-average thai.... and so it was. I think I had the Green Curry Tofu to go. Very good deal, really good food, and I'm sure dining in would be pleasant, as well. Totally returning for other dishes. It's a super neat space AND with beautifully chalk-written cursive used on the menus. Nice! It's the Lost Art of Cursive! =D I like cursive. The seating has a bench wrapping around the inside seating area which is neat. In the corner is a sort of "misc" shelf with Thai travel-size shampoo, typical American brand munchies, and some newspapers. Really worth trying out, and you can check out the sweet chalk menu while waiting in line... a line that can EASILY pour out on the sidewalk during lunch.

Thai Iced Coffee

This quaint little mom and pop restaurant is a solid lunch spot for folks who are looking for a fast and cheap lunch. I usually get the chicken curries, but I always tell myself that I should've gotten the tofu option instead. The chicken option is a bit plain because it's literally slices of chicken breast and curry over rice, whereas the tofu option has a nice array of veggies that come with the tofu. Their pad kee mao is great though. It comes with plenty of veggies and isn't too oily, and I'm always a fan of super wide noodles in a light sauce. The sauce is mostly salty and savory, but has a nice subtle touch of sweetness. Their Thai iced teas are solid. Sometimes it feels almost over-brewed, but I like the subtle bitterness although the texture gets a little grainy. It doesn't stop me from coming back and getting more at the end of the day. Service is usually quick and the owners are really friendly! This is a local stop worth supporting.

Green Curry with Fried Egg.

Green curry is the must. They curry paste is definitely homemade as the flavor are what I once had in Thailand. Most places use premade curry paste from can but this is something different!

Green Curry w/ Chicken ($7.95)
Jon L.

Update. It was inevitable prices would go up. Given the pricepoint in my initial review of $5 for curry, it is understandable given the higher cost of living in Seattle now. Still, the prices for curry is reasonable at $7.95. Their noodle dishes like pad kee mao are a dollar more. And I believe the most expensive dish tops out at $10.95 so it is still an affordable spot to go for Thai. They also have daily specials that are different from the usual fare that most Thai restaurants offer. Stopped by again for some green curry ($7.95) to go. The size of the dish seems consistent with my previous visit. It is right sized for a lunch meal, rather than overly massive. And the curry came out quickly as I was in and out of the restaurant in 5 minutes. I did notice that the dish didn't have a whole lot of chicken and eggplant though, as it was full of bamboo shoots. The curry is also a bit spicy. So if you are not a fan of bamboo and/or can't take the heat, I would advise choosing a different curry If you are looking for reasonably priced Thai curry in a hurry in the I-D or near/around downtown Seattle during weekday lunch hours, Thai Curry is a good spot.

I am so glad my friend introduced me this place! What a great place to grab a fast, tasty and cheap lunch! It's a very small but cozy store. I always go to Chinatown for bubble or Asian food but never noticed this lovely little restaurant until now! Maybe because they close pretty early, so I never got a chance to try this place until now. I love curry. I can make pretty mean curry myself from scratch. So I have a high standard for others curry too. This place didn't disappoint me! Surprise surprise. They actually put "curry" in their restaurant name for a reason! I actually tried their Pad Thai but it was a bit too sweet and really saucy to me, so I tried my friend's Massamun curry (also was the curry of the day!) and it was AMAZING. The spices, the chunky tender carrots and potatoes, the spicy yet soft peppers. OMG they got it! You can taste the spices it is so wild and fresh. They are not anything like pre-made curry paste where you can't taste the spices. YOU CAN! this is lovely homemade curry with so many good vegs and spices! I love it! I made curry myself because I know the differences and nothing is like homemade curry that you can taste everything fresh. I am very very glad that I got a go-to place for curry now! Also the price is amazing. Almost everything under $9 and Thai Iced Tea (without too many ice and not too sweet!) is only $2!!!! Where can you find that good quality and quantitycurry and thai ice tea? THIS PLACE! I am SO happy after visiting for lunch. Even though they close around 3:pm so I can't always come here for lunch, but I am sure will try my best to come here as much as I could! This is not really related at all, but the owner of the restaurant looks so much like my uncle...lol So one more point for that family bond feeling with him hahaha.... Well, plus he is actually really nice. :D Overall I love this place. My buddy I can't believe you are not a yelper yet you found me some treasure spot for lunch! Thank you! lol. Recommended! Do go there after 1:30pm tho if you don't want to wait for a seat. Could get very busy at lunch time (Cause everybody knows this is a great spot for lunch!)

Pad kee mao - very dry and bland
Tan Lo S.

I would have never known that there was a Thai restaurant hidden here if it weren't for my sweet Aunt who wanted to take me out to lunch for a late graduation gift. We arrive and are greeted by the family-owned business, the father. He is very sweet and nice as he knows my aunt and cracks jokes at her. I'm happy with that. The decor is lovely, the walls are filled with their menu, which is nicely and neatly written, very beautiful and appealing to the eye. I get my usual pad kee mao. Pad kee Mao is my go-to for Thai safety-net because I can make it at home and I know how it's supposed to taste, smell, and look. Unfortunately, this did not measure up. My pad kee mao was rather, very dry. The rice noodles did not have much sauce or flavor to them. There were no vegetables except for a few green long beans in them. I was a little disappointed. I wish there was more fish sauce and soy sauce in it. The rice noodles stuck together from being dry, and the way they cooked it with the eggs made it dry. I was not very impressed. I like how they don't do "spicy stars" but I also felt that was a bit odd. They do use their own chili peppers though, which was unique. My aunt had the pad see ew and said it was tasty. She, however, is a regular there. It was about $14 for 2 late lunch plates. I thought the portion size was good, just enough to get you full but no overindulging gluttony, haha. The owners are nice and gave us free tapioca coconut pudding, which was a overly sweet and just okay. Overall, these people are super friendly and nice. However, I'm not a big fan of the food. I probably won't be returning because I love Noodle Nation on the Ave and Mali Thai in Tukwila. Thank you for being so sweet and friendly though--I am left with a good impression of the family business and customer service.

The Chinese name, 全記麵家, has little to do with the name Mike, but is nevertheless an excellent choice for anyone in the area. The staff is very Cantonese through and through. It is a cash only establishment and their menu is heavy on the noodles, be it in soup form or dry. There isn't a ton of room for large groups, but the turnover is quick and thus the weights are usually quite minimal. Service is very good overall and super friendly. I would highly not recommend using their bathroom, as it's tiny, cramped, and not in the best condition. The noodle soups vary from wonton noodles to fishballs. They also specialize in beef brisket and fishballs, making this feel like a bit of a Hong Kong style cafe. Most of the soups average out to be $14-16, depending on size. It's a joy to watch them assemble the bowls in lightning quick fashion. Wontons are excellent. They're plump with just enough skin for texture and are complemented by a fragrant soup and very little skimpage on the noodle (#1). The large dumpling (aka "sui kau") is an excellent wonton alternative for those looking for similar textures. The beef brisket is tender and they also have a dedicated section for just congee. There aren't a lot of places like Mike's anymore, and I wouldn't hesitate for a second for an opportunity to come back. In fact, I'll make sure it's part of the Seattle rotation (#2) for whenever I'm back. __________ (#1) Read: very good portions. (#2) Unless of course, I'm on my way to Vancouver BC.

Yet even when you add stuff back in, the sum is still reasonable, e.g. with added seaweed and a shot of extra noodles, my bowl came out right around $20 after tax/tip. Service is quick and courteous. This place has only one problem: the wait is damn eternal. I waited 50+ minutes, and the only reason I got in that _fast_ was because I came solo and qualified for counter seating. The couple ahead of me in line waited at least 90... and this was on a Monday! But that's hardly the restaurant's fault.
