Beat Thai food in fresno/clovis. Lunch only, but the lunch specials are great. Been going for 20 years , still great

Our family has gone to Thai Country many times over the years. It's a small quaint family restaurant that serves Fresno's best Thai food. The service is always friendly, warm and inviting. From the time you enter you feel like your invited to someone's home for family style lunch/dinner. The beauty of the menu is that you can adjust the spice level of all the food to your liking. The curry dishes are delicious, with three choices, green, yellow and red curry. If noodles are your jam then you will be delighted to find many different noodles types with a variety of choices from Pad Thai to stir fry. The best thing to do is explore the menu and go on a foodie adventure. read more

OK! BEST THAI FOOD EVER!! If you have not been here yet than look no further! You absolutely have to drop everything and go right now! No I am serious! You will not find any better food! read more

Never seems to amaze me. Perfect every time. Pad Thai , paneag curry and sticky rice hits the spot every time. Tumyum soup is on point. Hands down one of the best Thai restaurants in town. Would've been 5/5; had to take a star away since they only open during lunch hours and it's much harder to indulge in this case. Picture don't proof anything. It's all in the bite. Go get some you'll return! Forgot to mention portion is worth it! read more

DELICIOUS food and large quantity. Customer service is awesome. Will definitely return!

Where does one start when you found a place that is soooo amazing!!! Found this gem about 3 weeks ago and now eat here at least once a week. They don't hold back on anything! From flavors, to portions; every visit leaves me wanting to try more. I always eat the "Basil" I order it with another dish that I am curious too. The drunken noodle was amazing! I also tried the Pad Prik which was also delicious but the "Basil" is unbeatable. The only thing is they are only open for lunch and not open Sundays and I believe Mondays. Such a gem I am so glad I tried this place..order everything! read more

Thai Country Restaurant - A feast! Amazing amazing food!!! Absolutely amazing - Thai Near Me - Clovis, California

A very small restaurant and very limited parking space, the food is flavorful and decent pricing. It is authentic Thai food and recipes. However if you plan to dine in be prepared to wait. They don't have many staff however they get the job done. I have three stars because I ordered my food for pick up and they told me 25 minutes. I got there in 30 minutes and still had to wait another 20 minutes with no apology or explanation. It was very frustrating. read more

Parking is hard to find; food is good. However, service is awful. There were 4 of us for lunch. The first person received his food in decent time. The rest of us figured we'd get ours immediately after his. Nope. The next person served got his food 10 minutes later. Another 10 minutes went by for the 3rd person's plate and 10 minutes after that, I finally got my food! The first 2 were already done eating! Coincidentally, I ordered the same food as person #2, but had to wait 20 minutes after he got his food. To serve only 4 people and each one got their food at different times was completely uncalled for and unprofessional for a restaurant. read more

Thai Country has been my fams number one go to place for Thai . We usually get the panange curry with Pad Thai noodles with chicken along with a order of spring rolls with peanut sauce . For the past year they have unusual hours . They are open Wednesday to Saturday from I think 11:00 to 2:00 so it's a bit challenging to get in these days with my work schedule. I had a bit of free time so I dropped in to get some spring rolls and a order of the pad Thai noodles . I have totally forgotten how much I love the spring rolls with the Chile and peanut sauce . All the food is fresh and oh so delicious. . read more

The food is good but the service sucks!!! They are so unorganized here. We ordered two lunch specials and a to go order. When we received our lunch, they didn't get my order right. I received one lunch special and had to wait for the other one because they didn't get my order right. When I went it the register to pay, they just put in my to go order. I had to wait another 30 minutes for my to go order!!! They didn't make it. a priority to make my to go order because I kept seeing other people get their take out order as i waited!!!! There's a reason I placed my order when I ordered my meal!!!!! Horrible Service!!! read more

The panang curry is the best I've ever had. Hint of spice and punch of flavor with white rice is delicious. Lunch panang curry to go was about $16-17 and you get so much food. The pad thai was okay. Not that flavorful and I've had better, but the curry is to die for. Would come again! Tried the green curry, and surprisingly, it's more spicy and earthy than the panang curry. Same base flavor profile, but had bamboo shoots, peas, zucchini, tomatoes, and I think basil. Was good, but I don't think I'd get the green curry again. read more

Best Thai food around. We've been coming for over 15 years. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and practiced. Just wish they were open more hours. read more

The only thing that Wouk make this place better was it being open longer hours! The yellow curry is divine. The spring rolls are delicious. The portions are huge and the flavor is amazing. They are usually very busy but the staff is always very nice and helpful and they get the food out as fast as they can. The food is always fresh. If you haven't tried this gem, add it to your list! read more

Unassuming and absolutely phenomenal. Pad Thai was perfection. Great prices, great portions had all the perfect spices to accommodate the red curry pork. Lovely and attentive service. A+ read more

This restaurant is open from 11:00am-3:00pm. We arrived at 10:55am and got seated around 11:00am on a Saturday( 2nd in line) it started off well, our waitress took our drinks and within 5-10 minutes our waitress took our order. It's about 11:10am at this point. Slowly you start seeing other customers enter the restaurant and be seated and slowly you start seeing the seats being occupied. Food is coming out but not ours. Mind you we were second in line going into the restaurant. Our waitress brings out a pot of rice around 11:25 am. Waiting, waiting and continuing waiting and nothing coming... it's about 12:00 pm with a pot of rice now. All those customers you seen get a table late are served their full meal before us. We ask our waiter now " excuse me, we been here over 45 minutes and only have a pot of rice?" She said " ohhhh let me see?" 12:15pm and no news... 12:25pm we get up and we tell our waitress to cancel our order we will just pay for the rice. She was sorry but the food was almost out... never again will we wait for this restaurant. Good luck getting your food l. read more

Very very good cheap and cheerful delicious food. Standouts are the curry (I prefer the red and yellow but I dislike the green.) The yellow curry is wonderful and creamy, and the red is nice, spicy and sharp. Make sure to order it with no potatoes as they put waaaaaay too many in and you get 2x as much curry that way. On today's visit I had the Mongolian beef with veggie delight, which I'm pretty sure are just steamed veggies that have been tossed in some flavored oil. Not super delicious but the Mongolian beef was to die for, I ordered mine extra spicy and was sweating the whole time but it was worth it! We also had the tried and true yellow curry and split a mango salad. waaaay too much food so we have dinner too, but the mango salad was very very good and refreshing. It would be nice to see them grill their chicken instead of boiling it however. The service is usually generally friendly and above average compared to similar venues and the prices are more or less average to maybe a little bit high. It's worth it though as you will always have leftovers for the evening as well as leave completely full, the portions are enormous! Overall it's a wonderful place for lunch with a friend or family member especially if you want two meals for the price of one! Just don't go thinking you're going to be treating yourself. There's a few things that keep Thai Country Kitchen from achieving a full 5 stars, but luckily the food isn't one of them! Enjoy! read more

Best Thai food around Clovis but limited hours lunch Tuesday to Saturday. Panang chicken and pad Thai combo special is our favorite. Fridays you might have to wait for a table at noon and when the get busy it's hard to call in an order because there's not enough people to answer the phones so you have to keep calling. read more

Great food and good value. I try to go whenever I am in town. Large portions with fresh vegetables.

The food is sooo good. It is the best Thai restaurant that I've ever been. I love all the curry dishes and the chicken coconut soup Tom Kha.

Great service and tasty food! The restaurant is busy parking is a little hard to find. But ambiance is great and friendly

A tad pricy but the portions and freshness and taste is well worth it . It's my 4th time there and won't be my last ! Good job guys !

Fried rice wasn't fresh. The vegetables were even old, onions were transparent, green onions brown and was very greasy. You can tell by the way it sat off the foil it was no good. Had to toss my entire order. That was XXX. Hadn't been there in almost a year but thought I would try them again. This place USE to be one of the better places for Thai, not anymore They've switched up. Good Luck with your tummy read more

Really good Thai food! I love this place. Ever since other places jacked up the price, my friend introduced me to this restaurant and I've been coming ever since. I was very pleased immediately by their professionalism. They were super nice! I'm an Asian, whose been to other Asian restaurants. These folks are very polite and genuine about it. Food is amazing! Fair price for the portion. Everything I've tried is delicious. My friends love the panang chicken curry. I like the lard na (like chow fun in gravy). Satay is good as always and their fried shrimp is awesome. I MISS their fried calamari! Thai tea = awesome. If you're craving Thai food, please try this place at least once! You won't regret it! read more

I cannot say enough good things about this place. It's a little tucked away hole in the wall place on Bullard and Villa. It's hard to miss if you don't know that it's there. If you want to try it out, get there early. They changed their hours a couple of years ago so are only open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11-3pm. My favorites are the Thai papaya salad, the basil special with fried tofu and the green curry with shrimp. Their portions are very generous. I've converted every person I've introduced to this mom and pop place! Definitely check it out if you like Thai food. read more

This Thai restaurant is good for the price and has been there for quite a while. Unfortunately, a lot of the food that I ate was overly sweetened, which is why I didn't give it a higher review. But if you like that, then, it's absolutely not an issue for you. I just wish it had a more complex developed flavor for some of the dishes. Definitely give it a try! read more

Fantastic vegan options. Delicious tofu. The salad rolls are a meal in and of themselves - not to be missed. We also ordered Green Curry and Pad Kee Mao, both with fried tofu. Friendly service. read more

This weekend, I was able to go out to lunch with friends. I've missed that for so long because of the pandemic. We decided to go to the Thai Country Restaurantg in Clovis for lunch. We ordered several dishes. We tried the lunch menu ($9.95 each meal) red curry (panang) with vegetables, the basil chicken and the chicken with vegetables. Each item was served with rice. Everything was delicious! I was especially pleased with the service we received. A very comfortable and cool restaurant to go to. For dessert we had a purple sweet rice with mango ($6.95) You may have to order it off the menu.). The rice was sweet and a beautiful purple color. The purple color is due to an Ube powder that is mixed with the rice. The mango was sliced on a separate plate. Everything was so sweet and tasty. Everything was in a light sauce that was delicious. A real treat! The Thai iced tea ($4.50) was excellent too. I have been at this restaurant several times in the past . I was pleasantly surprised that it was even better now. Do yourself a favor and try this restaurant. Yum! read more

Hands down the absolute best thai food in the central valley. This has been a family favorite for years and the food, portions, and great service have never changed. The only downside is that seating fills up quick! plan to show up with your party at least 15 minutes before opening if you'll be planning to go early. The dishes I highly recommend begin with the beef Pad prik king, which has a sauce that's to die for. The Drunken noodle plate w beef is also a nice starter for those unfamiliar with southeast asian cuisine. Though the location may seem small, there is plenty of seating. portions are big enough for some leftovers to be taken home as well! read more

Hands down the best Thai Food you can get at a restaurant here in Town! Place has been upgraded. Very nice scenery. Try the Pha Phed with Shrimp, chilli peppers, basil, some green peas, a quick stir fry dish. Yum! read more

One of my favorite places for Thai food!! Their chili jam squid and green curry are soooooo good, we ALWAYS order those dishes whenever we eat here. Their Tom Yum soup, panang, larb, and bean thread soup are some of our other favorites! The thing that sucks is they're only open during lunch time, Tue-Sat so they're always busy. It starts to die down around 2pm but they do close at 3pm. Definitely check this place out! read more

Hands down the best Thai food in north part of town! Way better service, portions, flavors & quality than Phad Thai or Thai chili clovis. I am blessed to live a walk across the street that we eat here 2x3 times per week for a quick 30 minute lunch. Servers te friendly, food comes fast, always fresh and large amounts for left overs. My wife and I share a red veggie curry with tofu special that comes phad thai noodles. And get a mango salad. The Thai country fried rice are to die for. Anything you get here is amazing!
