Nice workers but skimpy portions and over cooked chicken. They have a great location and are nice folks. It needs improvement on the cuisine.

No wonder it's a staple in Miami Lakes and open for over 25 years! THE PLACE: Located in Main Street in Miami Lakes plenty of free parking is available. Inside, its cozy and inviting with its intimate spaceing, wood trimmings and slightly dimmed lighting. Tables are available as well as limited seating by the sushi bar. THE FOOD: In our visit we ordered the Tom Ka-Gai 5/5 creamy, light savory, packed it flavor - and felt like a hug. The Pad Thai 5/5 - legit the BEST pad Thai we've ever tried! Flavors were balanced, phenomenal texture. Kang Neau 5/5 beef and peppers in my favorite ingredients - curry & coconut milk! Nigiri sampler 3/5 nice thick slices but just ok in freshness and taste -nothing too impressive. Thai donuts 5/5 WOW! Yes, must try! Crispy outside, doughy freshness inside with condensed milk for dipping. THE SERVICE: Staff was courteous and friendly.

Ok, Ive been here a couple of times and ngl the first time I gave this a 3 BUT I decided to go back and give it a chance... I am obsessed with salmon lovers roll Packed w a generous amount of salmon, creamy cream cheese, avocado and the crunchyness of cucumber. Def my fav and always taste fresh The gyoza is always steamed to perfection and doesnt have that rubbery taste Its a little hole in the wall but its a great spot and kind of romantic They have a large menu and drink options as well The staff is very sweet! 10/10

Love this little hole in the wall, in the back road of Main Street. I come here often for their sushi and the BEST fried rice in the area. Definitely a place I recommend for a nice, quiet night out with delicious food! The sushi is very fresh and the food portions are perfect for sharing. Not to mention that the prices are perfect for the quality and the amount of food.

The Penang curry must have crack in it because I'm addicted. It's simple ingredients but it tastes soooo good.

The spot is family owned and run by a husband and wife, and the husband cooks all the food! You can truly feel the love and intentional they pour into this place. It is so rare to find authentic Vietnamese food in the Miami area! The Pho: This is the gold standard. The broth is incredibly clear and aromatic. The toppings and herbs are always fresh! Green Papaya Special Fried Rice: This is not your average side-dish fried rice; it's a standalone star. It's packed with a generous mix of shrimp, chicken, and ham! Which gives it a perfect balance of savory and sweet. They are famous for this, and I get it every time. The Summer Rolls: These are the ultimate palate cleanser. The rice paper is thin and fresh, and the peanut sauce on the side is rich, smoky, and honestly addictive. Green Papaya Salad: I mean it's their name too! This is a refreshing salad that is balanced with savory shrimp and pork with the tartness of the dressing. Other dishes that I have tried that are also good if you want to explore more of Vietnamese cuisine is the Thang Long Fish, Nam Vang Special, and the Saigon Special. The wife is so sweet and she runs front of house! Locals love this spot, and I can see it every time I see the owners interact with their patrons.

I usually approach fusion restaurants with a healthy amount of skepticism. Too often, they feel…read morelike culinary speed dating, two cuisines forced together in the hope that chemistry magically appears. More often than not, one side dominates, the other disappears, and everybody loses. At Amazonia, a Japanese-Peruvian restaurant in Miami, that fear evaporates somewhere around the first bite. The opening argument came in the form of Gyoza Huancaína, pan-fried dumplings stuffed with lomo saltado and served with a vivid yellow huancaína sauce. It is the kind of dish that sounds gimmicky when described aloud. Then you eat it. The dumplings delivered deep savory notes from the beef, while the creamy sauce added brightness, spice, and richness. It felt less like a fusion experiment and more like a dish that had always existed. Four dumplings arrived on the plate. Four was not enough. My entrée, the Midori Risotto, continued the conversation between Japan and Peru. A strikingly green risotto made with kale and edamame arrived topped with grilled shrimp, microgreens, and dots of black garlic aioli. The rice was cooked properly, retaining a slight bite, while the edamame added texture and sweetness. The shrimp brought balance to the richness, and the black garlic aioli quietly tied everything together. It was a dish that managed to be both comforting and elegant. To drink, I ordered the Nikkei Lemonade, a blend of yuzu, Peruvian ginger, and huacatay. Bright, citrusy, and refreshing, it reset the palate after each bite and served as a reminder that the fusion extends beyond the food. My wife chose the braised short rib, a dish for diners who may not be ready to take the full leap into the restaurant's more adventurous offerings. Braised for 72 hours and served over mashed potatoes, it collapsed under the gentlest pressure from a fork. The beef was intensely flavorful, and the braising liquid was rich enough to make you consider asking for a spoon. Dessert brought one final East-meets-West moment. The Flan Nikkei paired a silky custard with miso caramel, whipped cream, and fresh strawberry. The miso added just enough savory depth to keep the sweetness from becoming predictable. It was a thoughtful ending to a meal built on thoughtful combinations. Amazonia succeeds because it understands something many fusion restaurants do not. Combining cuisines is not about piling flavors on top of one another. It is about finding where they naturally intersect. Here, Japanese precision and Peruvian boldness meet in the middle, and both emerge better for it. Fusion rarely wins me over, but Amazonia makes a compelling case for keeping an open mind.

Our server Claudia was so nice and helpful with explaining the different dishes. You also are treated to a complimentary mocktail and sweet yam bite to start. Claudia even provided us a tablet to see the pictures of the various dishes offered which helped us decide what to try. We started off with a mocktail that had coconut, passion fruit, hibiscus tea and pineapple. That drink was delicious and I didn't miss the alcohol. For starters we had the salmon crispy rice and that was so filling and delicious. Then we had the scallops in the black truffle sauce which was perfect a seared to perfection. We also ordered the kumogani roll which is crab based and that was very tasty with or without soy sauce. We loved everything we tried and will definitely go back to try other items on the menu. I highly recommend trying them out if you're in the area.

His level of customer service immediately stood out, he genuinely takes the time to guide first-time customers and make them feel comfortable. Frank suggested what he considers the four must-try sandwiches for a first visit: the Italian, Tuna, Corned Beef & Pastrami, and the Philly Cheesesteak. I followed his recommendation and tried the tuna sandwich, which was outstanding, fresh, perfectly balanced, and generously prepared. I also took a Tuna sandwich to go for my wife after trying it and ordered the Italian to try later, which I'm already looking forward to. What impressed me most was not just the quality of the food but the overall experience. Frank's knowledge of his menu, his willingness to help customers decide, and his genuine pride in the deli create an atmosphere that keeps people coming back. If you love great sandwiches, top-notch service, and an owner who truly cares about the customer experience, I highly recommend Franky's Deli Warehouse to anyone. It's the kind of place that quickly becomes a favorite.
