Was craving Chinese. Ordered General Tso's Chicken from Rice Bucket. They had a great special that included fried rice, egg roll and two crab rangoons for $13.95! All my favorite things! I don't eat pork so I asked if they would do vegetable fried rice and a spring roll instead. They honored my request. Everything came hot. The fried rice, spring roll and crab rangoons were delicious. At first bite, the General Tso Chicken tasted good as well. However, the more I ate it, the more I wasn't quite sure what I was eating. It had a lot of breading and there were parts of the chicken that were chewy in a "is this really chicken" way. Maybe it's just poor quality but it made me crave Panda Express. The Rice Bucket is decent for what it is. I don't know of any Chinese takeout spot that has amazing reviews. At least I haven't been to a one that's blown me away. Even so, The Rice Bucket is one of the better places to grab Chinese takeout for a quick lunch or dinner. I've tried their special fried rice, BBQ spare ribs, pork fried dumplings, honey garlic chicken, and their beef and broccoli. Everything is very much edible. Ribs are a bit too saucy but the portions are generous and things are fairly priced. I also have to give credit where credit is due, special request have always been upheld. Some of the best Chinese food I've had in the Miami Area. I opted to take advantage of their delivery service. Despite it being the holidays the food was delivered early to our delight. The delivery driver was very nice and courteous. We had Orange Chicken - Very tasty, tastes great tur next day also, portion size is generous comes with a side of white rice. Mongolian Beef- delicious with steak very nicely cooked and tender. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and not mushy. Beef lo mein- A tad salty, however was nicely cooked and was flavorful. This place has quick, quality, Chinese takeout. The vegetarian options aren't numerous but the options they do have are delicious. The lady at the front was nice. I ordered a honey chicken meal. It comes with pork fried rice, an egg roll, and 2 crab wontons. I also ordered a side of chicken lo mein. So, the rice was a bit bland, and the lo mein was a bit too salty. Alone not great but combined sooo delicious. The honey garlic sauce is the best I have ever had! So light and so tasty! The portions are ridiculous! You get your money's worth. The egg roll was really good too. Everything tasted fresh and they were quick. However it came with crab ragoon and egg roll that brought no sauce to eat it with so that was bland. The pepper steak was good and brings a decent portion of meat which is rare. The reason for my below average review is that the honey garlic chicken sauce is absolutely disgusting. I had to throw it in the trash. The sauce is mostly vinegar and nothing sweet about it. There business is for delivery and take out only. I for the most part always order delivery. I typically order chicken friend rice along with a combination of the BBQ Short Ribs, Sesame Chicken or Mongolian Beef. I have no complaints at all on there food. The chicken in the rice is always cooked well and the rice is tasty and not bland like in many other places. Rice is cooked on point as well, so don't worry about having saggy rice. Not here The protein I am a big fan of, there Sesame chicken or Honey chicken is very good. There Honey chicken is softly battered fried chicken with a glaze of Orange Honey sauce that's to die for! It comes in a separate tub for you to put on your chicken at your leisure. The sesame chicken is soft and glazed with teriyaki and sprinkles of sesame on top served with broccoli. I must say, the actually chicken was good. Meat was soft, but the honey sauce was by far the worse sauce I have ever tried. I called them and asked if this honey sauce was actually honey and the lady, who answered, said yes. I told her that there is no way this sauce was honey. It was watery yellow coloring with a sour taste to it. Anyways, I had to go get a honey sauce from House of Sun that was $2.00. There was no way I could use the honey sauce from rice bucket.
