This is my go to spot for Chinese take out. There is a noticeable difference in quality of food and service since it has been under new management. I always order delivery so my rating is based on those experiences. The person who takes the order is always cheerful and pleasant. They deliver within the time frame promised and the food is always nice and hot. I order from them at least once a month and they have yet to get my order wrong. Deciding what we want is always the hardest part so the fact that they have different family combinations is helpful. I always like the appetizers. If it was up to me to decide, I'd just order a couple of appetizers and call it a day. My boyfriend on the other hand, would not be satisfied with that so we always have to order complete meals. Then we face the really tough decisions i.e which appetizers? What protein? Veggies or no veggies? Noodles or rice? Fortunately for us they have a combination that fits our exact needs. Before it went under new management, they would also make sushi but they no longer offer that service. What I Recommend: - Family Pack: If your ordering situation is similar to mine, order the family pack. For about $30 you get egg rolls, your choice of crab rangoons or fried wontons, 3 entrees and house special fried rice. I usually order their special lo mein as one of the entrees and the portion is huge. Both the special lo mein and the special fried rice come with generous portions of meat so they are very filling. When I order, I always do it over the phone. I haven't explored to the option of ordering online but either way I prefer calling my order in. read more

Nine times out of time they include a Free Gift in our order (A 2L Soda, WonTons or, in my most recent purchase, 10 Dumplings). The woman, who I presume is the owner ALWAYS treats you with the most heartwarming character/respect and with a smile on her face. They serve ALOT of food. My recent purchase consisted of: -1 Jumbo Tub of fried rice with shrimp -2 large orders of sweet and sour chicken (which was way too much) a family of 4 can EASILY do With 1 large order. -12 BBQ ribs -A small order of Orange chicken with broccoli (serves about 2-3) - Side of white rice (included with meal, serves about 2-3) -An order of 10 fried Dumplings (FREE) For $50 Great place. I saw the bad reviews and couldnt believe it since I had such a great experiance till I realized this place is under new management and that is why they are now great. They took my order accurately and I saw that their special fried rice had huge chunks of meat in comparisn to normal takeout places. Having items stand out is great and monumental for return business. For some reason they said they were over stocked in soda and gave me and a friend a soda each. Kindness is not over looked and I will be back for sure. I also saw they have 5 dollar lunch specials great for the pocket and again great for return business and getting the word out. Hialeah is big on the chinese food mom and pop scene and this renovated chinese spot looks like is here to stay. read more

This review is not about the food of China Tokyo because I still have yet to try it. This is about their service or lack thereof. I don't recommend this place. I have tried 2 times to eat from this place by going on a website called GrubHub.com to place the order online for delivery. The first time i tried to place the order, the restaurant called me about 20 minutes before my lunch was supposed to arrive saying that they had to cancel my order because they ran out of rice. What Chinese restaurant runs out of RICE? Today I thought I would try again and placed an order. I got a call from the website stating the restaurant called and canceled the order because they didn't have my lunch special today. SERIOUSLY??? So I had a co-worker call the restaurant directly and try to place the order. My co-worker called and the restaurant didn't say anything about being out of the lunch special and proceeded to confirm they could delivery and gave her a total. She didn't end up placing the order because the restaurant had failed the test. This place is shady, why would they cancel an order through a website they are a part of and then say yes to the same exact order when placed over the phone. SHADY!!! read more

The first time they called me 20 minutes after my order to tell me they were out of what I ordered so I changed my order and it was delicious (teriaki chicken) but of course, it took a lot longer than it was supposed to. The worst! I have been ordering from this place for about three years now and have had an occasional mishap here and there when it comes to my order. Tonight, my fiancé and I decided to order Chinese and went ahead and called to place an order for delivery. The person who picked up did not know what he was doing. I asked for the meal for two special from their menu and he said that it didn't exist. He then asked me where did you see that I responded in their menu. He put me on hold for 3 full silent minutes then came back on the phone and said okay yeah so meal for two? When I replied yes he then went silent for another 2-3 minutes during which time I was wondering if he was going to ask me what options I wanted for the meal for two or if he had gone ahead and picked for me. Then out of nowhere another gentlemen came on the phone to take my order and I had to start my whole order again. I order crab Rangoon with no crab (something they always make for me) and he said okay yes crab Rangoon only cheese as he took my order. Then the first guy came back on the phone and took my payment and told me my order would take between 30-35 minutes. About an hour later, I receive my order and the crab ragoon had crab in them. I called to see if they could send me the ragoons I had originally ordered without the crab and they told me that they don't make them without crab. I told him I order them all of the time from there with only cheese and if that were the case anyways then I should have been told that instead of being told they'd make it with only cheese. Then he spoke to his manager who I guess told him that it would take one more hour to receive them! I could not believe it! I asked to speak to the manager and she did not seem to care about what happened she just said okay I'll make them with cheese 1 hour okay? I do t understand why I have to wait one whole other hour when my order should have been correct in the first place. I will never order from here again. read more

This is the worse $30 bucks ive ever spent. The food looked, smelled and tasted horrible. The food dont even come in real chinese boxes. The rice had no flavor, hardly no shrimp and they werent devained and thats all the rice had, nothing else. I make fried rice 500 times better. this is the first and last time i will ever order from them. The beef lo mein was horrible and the burbon chicken smelled funny. I will never come here again. It took them hours to not only get my food, but I was completely disgusted by it. The girl that used to work in front was extremely polite and had so much patience to work for that boss. I witnessed this girl trying to get a 1 dollar tip, and this selfish woman snatched it from her hands and yelling at her for receiving a tip. Extremely sad. My boneless ribs were boiled and made in the microwave. The chicken wings were made from just flour and water. My food had hair grey hair in it. As I was occasionally walking by, I noticed a dead caterpillar on the floor. I asked the girl to clean it and she politely did it. Extremely unprofessional and while I was trying to talk to the owner, she was yelling at the poor girl for a mistake her son did. For my first time being there, I was extremely disappointed.
