This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. We didn't feel like cooking for Thanksgiving this year so we ordered from here. We picked up the food and it was still warm and not soggy or stale by the time we got to Pembroke Pines. There's not a lot of seating inside, so I suggest placing the order to go. We ordered three dinner meals and 10 crab ragoons it was $55. The dinner meal comes with a lot of food, the entree, an egg roll, and a choice of egg or wonton soup. The portions are huge! I wasn't a big fan of the sesame chicken I got, but the cashew chicken my mom got was so good. They are fast and the food always tastes good. It's a little hole in the wall surrounded by stores and although it's in a huge shopping center, finding parking sometimes sucks. If you can overlook the madness of the parking in this shopping center you will not be disappointed. read more

I ordered pork fried rice and it tasted funny but I guess ok. It almost had like a funny sweet smell to it. I was starving so I bought this desperately. I was really in the mood for Orange chicken but couldn't afford. I also think they charge too much for one egg roll. $2.68 was what the guy behind the counter wanted to charge me, just for ONE. I thought it was pretty pricey. And $7 and change for the small box of rice. The rice tasted funny with no bean sprouts. Seemed very greasy too. Very disappointed with the food. Everything lacked flavor--the seasoning was minimal, and the overall taste was bland. The food was decent, but the service was seriously disappointing. The woman at the front had her headphones in and didn't seem interested in acknowledging my family at all. Every time we asked a question, she acted annoyed, as if we were bothering her. While the service was fast, the experience was far from welcoming. I have been long time customer over 20 years and usually the food is pretty decent, but today, I ordered chicken wings, tso chicken, along with other lunch combinations and a lot of food tasted old. I called to complain and they just said sorry for inconvenience and hung up. I was saddened, especially since I have a plethora of Chinese restaurants by my house. Ok I've been coming here for years so let me set something straight. The food here is probably the best NY style Chinese in south Florida flat out. The lady at the front is one of the best people. She's super funny but takes her work seriously. They are constantly busy (and for good reason) and sometimes just need to get from order to order which can come off as "rude" when it's your turn to order, but isn't intentional or directed specifically at you. It's more of a "take-out" chinese restaurant. We almost immediately felt like we walked into a time-machine and went back some years, back to Brooklyn where we remembered how small chinese food restaurants felt. It had the same kind of feel with strong smells that make you feel like whatever you buy tonight is going to be good. The woman who took our order was friendly and entertained us with some jokes while we decided on what to order. Years ago I did business around this area and ordered from the original owners (Mr. Lee & his wife, before they sold the restaurant). The food was always fantastic, fresh, flavorful, had large portions, and there were several menu options. The flavor was awesome, as some would describe "New York style". I had tried the other area Chinese restaurants, but Mr. Lee's was always the best flavor. Mr. Lee's always had a special delicious flavor that no other nearby local Chinese restaurant could match. I would only find that flavor at higher end Chinese restaurants or when in New York. When Mr. Lee sold his restaurant years later, it appears that he passed on his amazing secret recipes too. I was in the area again recently, ordered their roast pork lo-mein and other items. I can't even begin to tell you how long I've been looking for a place that has REAL chinese; not that Panda Express- mall food. Mr.Lee's is authentic food with that NY feel. I love that they have combination plates for both lunch and dinner. My favorite is the honey garlic chicken with the fried rice, the spareribs are also to dieeeeeee forrr. The food is always done fast and is always fresh. Ah Mr. Lee's...brings back memories of when I was a young pup at American High School across the street (Go Patriots!!!....YES THAT IS A CHEAP PLUG) and us freshment and upperclassmen who still did not have cars would rush across 67th Avenue no matter whether it was raining or shining during our 1 hour lunch break to get some quick Chinese food. Over 20 years later and Mr. Lee's is still at its small location...wedged in between Little Caesars and the Firestone garage, still serving heaping portions of delicious Chinese foods. This restaurant is not a sit-down restaurant, but rather you either pick up or you have delivery. No matter what you choose, you will get good food at reasonable places.
