More like 2 1/2 stars... but I'm being kind today. We both ordered lunch combo specials. They are inexpensive -- ranging from $6.50 to $7.50. The food came out hot, as ordered and it was edible. We were very hungry as we didn't eat lunch until after 2:30 pm. We were in the area and this was convenient. He got their chicken chow mein with white rice. It had a lot of onions in the mix. I got their orange chicken -- slightly spicy. The breaded chicken (I couldn't tell what parts as it was hidden) were in a very lightly flavored orange sweet sauce. Would I come here again? One of my fave food is Chinese and I am picky when it comes to the fried rice to egg roll. Thanks to Yelp I came across this restaurant (thanks Yelp). I'm wondering why this spot doesn't have many reviews.. this place is great! The food is cooked fresh per order, prices are reasonable and portions are nice size. This place sits in a plaza along 441 and countyline road (close to my new home). Walk in orders are quick and so are call ins. I came last night and for the first shrimp. Wings, and vegetable lo mein ( included zucchini) that sealed the deal! Never had vegetable lo mein with zucchini! Tonight I had ordered only the fried shrimp (a new fav)... called the order in and was ready in 15min. Service is fast and friendly. The food (sesame chicken) and special fried rice was fresh but it was a tad warm instead of hot! The lady at the register is very short tempered and wants you to make a decision of what you're ordering very quickly. The ambiance is very low key with plenty tables to sit but nothing else. My usually go to is Lok Yuan but today I went over to Wonder Wok for lunch and it was amazing, great food and customer service.

I don't understand why my husband ordered ham fried rice and fried chicken wings.., Only to find chicken (bones) mixed with the chicken. He went back up there and they denied they put chicken bones in with the wings. I know they are lying and prejudice! They are nasty and very disrespectful! And they have lost customers! read more

Needed somewhere walking distance so I gave this place a try, was sketched out as it smelled weird inside, but was hungry so have it a shot. I got the orange chicken and it was DISGUSTING, felt like the chicken was old, it was supper soggy and full of cartridge and fat, and the turkey in the ham tasted like it came straight out of a can. read more

I live near this restaurant and have been wanting to try it out. Upon walking in I noticed there were only two people waiting (no lunch crowd). I understand why. The restaurant appeared clean, the woman who served me was nice. I ordered my food and waited for a few minutes. Once I got home and opened the plate the food didn't look to good. I noticed their turkey fried rice was burnt. The honey garlic chicken had no garlic just taste like syrupy chicken. The only thing that was edible was the egg roll. I always seen this joint but just avoided it in the past because it just never grabed me, but I decided to try them out for the first time today since their located in a Plaza that I frequently visit... Immediately after walking through the door I was turned off. The place felt old and lifeless. The Dinning Area is very unorganized with backroom items all stacked up to one side of the eating area. Very unapealing. Loads and Loads of Boxes, A very large chest freezer, and many other items that should be tucked away neatly in the back of the store was just sitting right there as there permenanent home. Anyways moving right along, I ordered the Chicken Fried Rice to be on the safe side I wanted to start out small. The rice was very bland with absolutely no flavor at all. So I figured if they can't do rice I won't take no chances on nothing else. Wonder Wok has been here for probably 20 years. When they first opened, people would rave. The food used to be very good, well-made American-Chinese. I would drive for miles to get their Hot and Sour Soup, one of the best in South Florida. I haven't been here in several years because they changed the way they make that soup and they started charging extra for the Egg Foo Young gravy. (As a former loyal customer, these things matter.) Now, their standards are average, thus the average rating. Still, a good option for American-Chinese, but when you want authentic, first-rate Chinese with excellent service, go to Tropical Chinese on Bird Road in Miami, worth the drive from wherever you are. read more

Nickel & Dime you for everything I have been a long time customer of wonder wok, they are in my neighborhood and out of convenience I would frequent them. The food is mediocre at best. Their staff has always been slightly rude and unprofessional. It came to a head when I simply asked for 3 extra packets of mustard sauce and they wanted to charge me 25 cents. I felt like the $25 meal I just paid for was reason enough to just give it to me, not to mention my family eats here all the time. They know who we are. It's safe to say I will never eat here ever again. I told them give me my money back and walked out. Try this place. The food is always fresh. The rangoon is great , the rice is made to order, I've tried a bunch of the things on the menu and everything seems like its more fresh than other places. Yes boxes are always laying around but if you are looking for fine dining go to Houston's in Aventura , this is quality take out Chinese on 441. I m a busy professional and constantly do take out. Tonight I ordered the chicken Lo mein and hot & sour soup. The chicken Lo mein portion was like double what I get elsewhere and excellent taste. The hot and sour soup was even better. Perhaps the chef was new or some breakthrough when I read the old prior review. Anyone could have a bad day but the price was very cheap compare to the quality and I highly recommended this place to all my friends. read more
