    1. Egg Drop Soup

Service was delightful. Very welcoming and friendly. We ordered the 2 dinner combos that came with soup or egg roll and a drink. We both got soup. Wonton & egg drop soup was off the charts. We both got the fried wings with chicken fried rice. We asked for both the wings and rice to be spicy. The rice was flavorful and piping hot. The wings was also fried fresh to order. My only dislike was the wings was fried with tempura. Not really a fan Mabe because I'm used to regular fried wings. But definitely will be back to try other menu items. We dine inn but there was a lot of people ordering for takeout. A lot of parking and I also saw 2 tables outside if you wanted to eat outside. The best thing is when we got the bill. Good food good quality and a bang for your buck!

This is by far the best Chinese food I have eaten in the area, I ordered the food directly from their web page. The process was easy and you can pay cash or credit when they arrive. So it's very convenient. (You also have a time frame without extra charge). So that's a big plus to order directly from the restaurant. I ordered the General Tao's Chicken, the house special Lo Mein and an order of the boneless ribs. Every entree was delicious, the lo mein had a generous amount of meats. I really enjoyed every bite of my food. DELICIOUS! I'm so trilled to finally find a place with savory Asian cuisine!! My ordered was delivered fast and arrived hot and nicely packed.

The wings here were yummy and crispy, the wonton soup was soothing. In their own the soup dumplings were not our favorite but the other items were strong enough contenders. It was fast service and the ambiance you would expect from Chinese takeout but they did have a good amount of seating available and it was very clean

Pretty good food. The honey garlic wings wasn't what i expected, it's just fried chicken and the sauce is on the side.

Just picked up our takeout order and there was no wonton soup or egg roll. Not worth the trip back to get the missing items! So frustrating!

New to area so trying new Chinese places for take out…read more First had Hot and Sour soup and it was very very spicy, but it had a good portion of tofu in it. I had one from another Chinese restaurant a week ago and it was more medium spicy (my preference) and had mushrooms and more ingredients- which was better. Also ordered bourbon chicken, pork lo mein and fried rice (white rice comes with dish). The sauce on chicken was not great tasting...and the chicken was dry and hard to chew. I would not order again. As a comparison, the best bourbon chicken I have had comes from Chicken Kitchen but none are in Hollywood. I did not like the lo mein. This item can vary from different places but it just was not satisfying. Also, I like my noodles long and these were chopped shorter. The white rice and fried rice were fine. If one dish is off, it's not a big deal but when three items you paid for were not great.... I think we had tried this restaurant a few weeks ago and what we ordered at that time was ok. There are many Chinese restaurants in this area, so this may not be our favorite. When there is this much competition- you really have to be on your game!!

I've been coming here for years! This restaurant is one of my favorite casual Chinese restaurants…read morein Hollywood. It's usually empty and many people order delivery or to go, but I always dine in the restaurant. Today our server was nice and very attentive, but one of the managers/owners was a bit rude. I asked if we could be seated near an outlet as I needed to keep my laptop on, and she said there were none. I found an outlet against a wall that was visible from our table and I went over to charge it. She went over and nearly unplugged it, but after realizing that there was no reason for me not to charge my device she let it go. Our food was made to order so it was delicious and nice and hot. We ordered the cream cheese rangoons to share and each ordered a combination platter which comes with with an egg roll, choice of soup, entree, white or pork fried rice and ice cream. We both opted for Wonton soup and pork fried rice but for the entrees, my friend ordered the chicken and broccoli which she did not enjoy much (we have had it in the past and it was good, but I guess they are inconsistent with their recipe), and I ordered the Szechuan chicken for the first time which I thought was delicious. In the end, we were both too full for ice cream and at first our server said we could switch it for an egg roll, but then after a while 5 minutes she came back and told us that the manager said no substitutions. I think it was because she was annoyed with me for charging my laptop against her wishes.. Overall I would give this visit 2.5 stars, but normally I would rate this place 3.5 or 4 stars because usually the food is great and the staff is nice... Today was an exception but I will still be back.

The Asian hand painted folding paper fans along the walls and the red Chinese New Year lanterns hanging from the ceiling added a nice touch to the subtle decor. We were sat immediately at a booth of our choice. The dining room was empty of customers with an eerie silence. The server greeted us with the standard duck sauce and golden crispy crackers and the traditional metal tea kettle and cups. I slurped down my wanton soup that had plump wanton and not salty thin broth. The General Tso Chicken with fried rice was a huge portion and tasty. The fried eggroll had a crisp outer shell and was dense with veggies, although it seemed more like an oversized spring roll than a traditional Chinese egg roll, but the superb taste overshadowed the petite size. As were eating, I still could not stop noticing that we were the only customers at lunchtime 12pm during the work week. I will take great food and attentive service any day over a loud packed dining room but could this be the end of a strong fifty-six year run to end the China Lane legacy? I sure hope not. As the bill arrived, I noticed a portion at the bottom with suggested tip percentages to merely place a checkmark in a box - not bad, just unique. The gender assigned bathroom was clean with a dominant red door and gray marble-like tile. The toilet rules written on the front of the tank made me chuckle and added some unexpected humor to a traditional Chinese restaurant (see pic and read).
