We were in the area doing errands and decided to give this place a try. Parking right in front and easy entry. We were seated in a booth and looked over the menu to decide what to have for lunch. I chose the Lemin Chicken with white rice and Won Ton soup. My dish arrived with LIME slices on top of the chicken. The chicken was nice and crunchy and sat on a bed of shredded lettuce. The sauce that was served for the chicken had more of a LIME flavor than Lemon. I like LIME, but not when I'm expecting Lemon ...

This place is LEGIT! As soon as I picked up the order and it was provided in a fortune cookie card board box, I knew it had to be good. I grew up eating south Florida Chinese food and China Lane is dead on with the flavor. If you're not from this area, it may not be your jam. If you are, this is the place for you! The wonton soup was out of this world!!! It was dark in color and rich in flavor. It had shredded pork and bok choy in it and I haven't seen soup made like this in forever. I'm salivating just thinking about it. I opted for the spare ribs combo with fried rice and an eggroll. The ribs were all meaty and covered in delicious sweet sauce. The rice was pretty good and plentiful. Eggroll was fine, nothing to write home about. My husband got the sesame chicken combo. The pieces of chicken were massive. He thought it was fantastic. The prices are a little steep, but worth it for the portions and flavor. If you pay with cash, you'll save money as they charge 4% to use a credit card. I am so happy I found this gem. Next time I'm in south Florida I will be making my way back!

So I use to live in Hollywood and this was my family's go to spot for Chinese food over 30 years ago. Well good news the food is still good. My wife and I were really craving Chinese food and we were in the area. So glad we did. The young lady that was serving us was such a sweet and nice person. Super friendly and not rushed or rushing us. The restaurant has not changed at all. Still looks the same inside, which is not a bad thing because it was old but clean. We had the Shazwan beef and pork in black bean sauce. We added the soup eggroll in fried rice to the meals, which was very reasonably priced to do.. As many people know it is very hard to get good Chinese anywhere anymore as most places are just fast food takeout . Thankfully, you can sit down and get a really good Chinese meal and get takeout from here as well . The hot and sour soup that we got was delicious. Not too thick great flavor not over spicy not over sour it was just right. The fried rice had a nice rich, dark color, and was very flavorful. The eggrolls were crunchy and fresh really enjoyed them. As for our dishes, they were absolutely delicious. The pork was super tender, and the black bean sauce was not salty and had a great flavor. The Shazwan beef had a mild spice to it which we requested, and the beef itself was very tender, and the sauce again was not over salted, and just had a great flavor . If we are back in the area, we are definitely going to return .

I found my new Chinese restaurant near my house. It's located in a strip mall which has plenty of parking right off Hollywood Blvd. The food wasn't greasy and very hot. I ordered take out on a Saturday evening. The meals also came with an egg roll each which isn't in the photos. The food was ready when expected and inside was half full with patrons. Nothing special inside and very minimal interior design.

China Lane is old fashioned N.Y. style Chinese food. I was passing Panda Express looking for chicken and broccoli for lunch. I pulled China Lane up on Yelp and found the reviews to be accurate. The food was a strong 4. I was surprised by how good the plain fried rice tasted. I actually took it home with the egg roll for another time thinking it would just be mundane but it was not. The chicken was thinly slices and not dry. The broccoli was fresh and still had some crunch to it. The soup didn't wow. Next time I would try their wonton soup. If I'm ever in the area, I will pick up some Chinese food to go. I really liked the service too. Our server was quick and attentative. I want b rushed out.

I've been here multiple times and I can honestly say I've never had a bad experience. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely care about the food they're serving. Everything tastes fresh and handmade, especially the dumplings. The wrappers are perfectly tender, the fillings are flavorful, and nothing tastes mass produced or rushed. The space itself is clean, simple, and comfortable.... exactly what you want for a casual dumpling spot. Service is efficient, orders come out hot, and the quality is consistent every single visit. We ordered the beef soup dumplings and the chive, pork, and shrimp steamed dumplings. Both were excellent especially if you pair it with the chili crisp oil and dumpling sauce. If you're craving real, comforting dumplings and want to support a local spot that does things right, this place is absolutely worth stopping into. A true hidden gem that delivers every time.

The service is good: the young man asked us if we'd like some black vinegar and hot water (he said yes to me, bringing in my tea, when the restaurant had only one other couple): Thanks. I'm wondering if the creator(s) are from northeast China: the fillings, especially the dumplings, are very solid, and the wontons are chubby. An Asian woman is making the dumplings behind the glass window. The small logo on their black plastic tableware is thoughtful and appreciated.

When we arrived and parked, we were a bit disillusioned with the outside look. The sign above the roof was faded and it had missing letters. When we walked in, we were greeted nicely by a man and we got a nice table by the entrance.. We saw the tanks full of fish and crabs moving and swimming right by our table. The menu was really authentic...they had many of the dishes you could not find at other places like frog legs, squab, sea cucumber, quail, etc. We ordered two BBQ roasted squabs, a wonton soup with no noodles and a shrimp and scallop vegetable dish. All the food was outstanding....really good tasting, really well made. The big bowl of steamed rice was complementary. If you are looking for Authentic Chinese, give Dragon City a try. They also sell fried rice, chow mein, chow fun, mei fun and other more well known dishes for those that are not so adventurous.

It's usually empty and many people order delivery or to go, but I always dine in the restaurant. Today our server was nice and very attentive, but one of the managers/owners was a bit rude. I asked if we could be seated near an outlet as I needed to keep my laptop on, and she said there were none. I found an outlet against a wall that was visible from our table and I went over to charge it. She went over and nearly unplugged it, but after realizing that there was no reason for me not to charge my device she let it go. Our food was made to order so it was delicious and nice and hot. We ordered the cream cheese rangoons to share and each ordered a combination platter which comes with with an egg roll, choice of soup, entree, white or pork fried rice and ice cream. We both opted for Wonton soup and pork fried rice but for the entrees, my friend ordered the chicken and broccoli which she did not enjoy much (we have had it in the past and it was good, but I guess they are inconsistent with their recipe), and I ordered the Szechuan chicken for the first time which I thought was delicious. In the end, we were both too full for ice cream and at first our server said we could switch it for an egg roll, but then after a while 5 minutes she came back and told us that the manager said no substitutions. I think it was because she was annoyed with me for charging my laptop against her wishes.. Overall I would give this visit 2.5 stars, but normally I would rate this place 3.5 or 4 stars because usually the food is great and the staff is nice... Today was an exception but I will still be back.

Located off Stirling Road (accessible from both directions), Hong's BBQ sits amongst the various shops that make up the Stirling Place Plaza. If you're here based off your search for food around the Seminole Hard Rock Casino and Hotel Hollywood, you've got the same idea as us and this review is for you; Hong's is essentially "around the corner" from the casino and a great option if you want to venture off the resort for some great food. Recommended by a source for reliable eats, we decided to give Hong's BBQ a go before our trip back to Tampa. We found that Hong's BBQ has some great authentic Canto-style Chinese cuisine. Not big by any means (you can't necessarily host a large banquet style gathering here), there is definitely ample seating - mainly suited for parties of 4. We came around 1pm on a Sunday and had no issues being seated - although the restaurant maintained a steady flow of customers in and out of the restaurant. There are a few larger round tables scatter throughout with the typical lazy-susan setup in the center that may accommodate larger parties of 6-8. If you're not interested in dining-in, there is definitely a "butcher's" station/display that is set up toward the back of the dining section. The setup within the restaurant definitely brought back nostalgic memories of Chinatown restaurants and their racks of char-siu, roast duck, pig, and soy chicken hanging under the heating lamps. From here, you can order cuts of the aforementioned meats by weight without the "extras." The menu offered a great variety of Canto-style cuisine; I would argue that it's hard to go wrong with a choice based on their selections they have available. We ordered two noodle soups (roast duck and char siu), along with an order of the beef chow fun, which were all outstanding. Beginning with the noodle soups, you have 3 different noodle options; I opted for the flat rice noodles which I instantly craved upon identifying it as a choice. The noodles were cooked to al-dente perfection that had a good amount of "bounce" while easy to chew. The broth was also on a whole other level that warrants praise in itself. The beef chow fun is also a must - yes, I recognize that this may be considered a "basic" choice, but Hong's BBQ makes this the right way. The service wasn't poor - let's just say that it falls in line with the coveted 3-star Asian restaurant rating (If you know, you know). The servers knew how and when to deliver. All in all, Hong's BBQ is a great place to dine with your family. I would recommend this to anyone in or travelling to this area.

It was empty. But it slowly got more diners, with about 5 tables filled before we left. Service was fine but the waitress who took our order barely spoke English and it was difficult getting answers about items on the menu. Nevertheless, we ordered pan-fried dumplings, the three meat combo plate with roast duck, BBQ roast pork, and crispy pork. We also got a seafood platter with salt and pepper shrimp, squid, and scallops. The latter didn't have much taste. We couldn't even taste any salt and pepper. The dish came on a bed of shredded raw cabbage. There was no rice. When I asked, the server (a different one from the woman who took our order) brought us a small bowl. They had forgotten to put the rice on the plate. (The dish is advertised as being served on a bed of rice.) The meat platter was decent. Although the duck skin needed to be crispier, the pork skin was very crispy. The BBQ roast pork was tasty, boasting a nice char siu flavor. The few strands of Chinese broccoli that was served with the dish was cold, as if it was added from the refrigerator. We enjoyed the pan-fried dumplings. They seemed to be homemade. One appetizer, two entrees, tax, and tip was $66.
