I have been going to this place for over 15 years and today I was so disappointed by the portion size of a fried bean curd skin shrimp roll. Whenever I have purchased this at other places they at least give you two whole "loaves" sometimes three as a portion. When I opened up my order there was exactly 1 1/2 loaves cut into three for $6.50. That is outrageous and I will never purchase that from there again and will be looking for a better place, any suggestions.
Been going to China Pavilion for years and it's my go spot for authentic Chinese food and dim sum that always hits the spot. You know it's authentic and good when it's always packed and you walk in seeing many 10 top round tables with the iconic lazy susans and a wall of fish tanks by the front entrance! We had a group of 12 for dim sum and we were accommodated fairly quickly. Dim sum was fresh and quickly served and reasonably priced. The baked roasted pork buns are a must but order early as they do tend to sell out and then you'll miss out! They also have an amazing menu with authentic Chinese dishes to choose from. On another visit I had their ginger scallion lobster and the mince pork with green beans, as it's an iconic staple dish to have when dining in. Looking for great Chinese food in the area, here's your spot!
We were a large group of about 15 people. China Pavillion was extremely busy during lunch time around 1:30 pm. We waited a bit for the entire group/party to arrive then staff seated us right away. First time trying Dim Sum. They have a hugh variety menu of authentic Cantonese dishes. Our server seemed friendly and we had someone from our group that spoke Cantonese great to see them interact. We ordered so much food and shared family style. All the dishes were delicious. I enjoyed the sticky rice, pork bao buns, baked BBQ pork buns, chicken feet, tripe, stuffed egg plant , Duck &Roast pork rice roll. I enjoyed each dish but wish the server had brought us water or offered water to everyone at the table. They served tea but not everyone drinks tea. The food came in fairly fast but took forever to get water. Besides that, service was good and food was fantastic. Will definitely be back. The Dim Sum and appetizers all budget-friendly, with many items under $8.
My first review of 2026! I made the drive up here with foodie friends from Miami to enjoy New Year's weekend dim sum. (Huge shoutout to A for setting up this yummy UYE!) the restaurant is located in office plaza right on Pines Boulevard and there's a good amount of parking. The inside is well lit, clean and can get cozy for a big group such as ours. The wait staff was super pleasant in helping us accommodate our large table, and keeping our bellies full. Some items had run out, and we did have to "help" in clearing some of the plates but all in all still very good. For those of us like me - my first dim sum experience - you typically order off of either a picture or written menu. Roughly translated to "light snacks", the server brings out baskets of the different buns and serve them family style in the center of the table. Besides dim sum, they also serve "full size" Chinese dishes such as the orange chicken I also enjoyed & shared, as well as fried rices. You may be wondering, Sergio why if you're allergic to seafood and shellfish did you go to a dim sum spot? Well, I'm still here to write the review. I can say that the preparation of the food was really clean. Some of the buns I enjoyed included their Baked Pork BBQ Bun, served in a sticky sweet roll, as well as their steamed chicken & vegetable buns. I even managed to indulge my sweet tooth with the egg custard bun.
I cannot say enough great things about this experience! The waiting area was a bit intimidating with the amount of people there - but boy do they know how to move a crowd! Quick & efficient. The service was outstanding considering we were an extra large group some seasoned w/Dim Sum others not a clue... and others allergic to 75% of the menu. But overall the staff at China Pavilion did an outstanding job of navigating all of us. Food was also quite delicious - I was so pleasantly surprised with every item that was brought out to taste. So much so I cannot wait to return for another Dim Sum adventure.
China Pavilion is tucked away on Pembroke Road, just a quick two minutes from the mall. Walking inside, the space feels open--almost like a lively food hall. The place was filled with families and groups enjoying their meals, plates wiped clean. That's always a good sign for me and my green light that the food is the real deal. They've got a wide menu, but dim sum is their specialty. I have a little rule when I try out new Asian restaurants: start with the basics. If they can't get those right, I know I don't need to come back. Thankfully, they passed the test. We kicked things off with dumplings and their roast pork buns. Let me tell you--the pork buns were fantastic. The filling was flavorful, perfectly balanced, but could have used a little more meat. The bun itself was soft and fluffy. Honestly, I could've eaten a few more without regret. For mains, we ordered Pineapple Fried Rice, Yang Chow Fried Rice, and Sweet & Sour Chicken. At first, we considered Shrimp Fried Rice too, but when we saw the portion sizes coming out to other tables, we wisely canceled. Trust me--these dishes are generous and made for sharing. Out of everything, the Sweet & Sour Chicken surprised me the most. Instead of the usual dry fried chicken with sauce on the side, theirs came cooked directly in the sauce. It made the chicken juicy, tangy, and way more satisfying than the version most places serve. The food here honestly ranks among the best Chinese I've had in South Florida. The service? Well, it's not the highlight. Nobody is assigned to your table specifically, so you kind of just flag down whoever's nearby. Once you know how it works, it's fine, but don't expect super attentive service. Overall, China Pavilion is a spot worth visiting if you're craving authentic flavors and big portions. Perfect for families or groups who like to share and taste a little bit of everything. Total cost including tip for 3: $86.49
South Florida best dim sum restaurant. I drive down here when I crave something authentic. Their service is busy busy but they will get the food to you. Don't expect Michelin service but the food is yum yum. I had yang chow fried rice, shrimp dumplings, mango roll with shrimp. Casual Chinese dining made for family and friends. The wait is a while on the weekend but it's worth it!!!
My first time having dim sum! This was a very authentic place. The food came out really fast and was so warm. We tried a bunch of different menus items. By favorites were the steamed chicken feet and the shrimp dumplings. They have sauce too that is at each table. The chili oil was not too spicy! I was actually surprised. And they have this other sauce that I will describe as a Chinese steak sauce We got tea as well for our drink. It was delicious and warmed me right up!
If you're a fan of asian food, and who isn't, you need to try the best Chinese food in all of South Florida. A telling sign that this place is legit is all the asians having dim sum or dinner. They have Peruvian Chinese food but to me it's not good. Had some fried chicken that came with a type of gravy and everything was so bland. To save it we ordered some ginger, garlic oil and used that to dip the chicken in. Dim Sum here is hands down the absolute best in South Florida. You'll hear that Ten Ten is better because they have the rolling carts but food ins't as fresh as it is here when you order exactly what you want and then it's prepared fresh to order. My favorite dishes are the shaved bitter melon soup with tofu, steam pork ribs in black bean sauce, sea bass served on a sizzling plate and flounder served sauteed fish fillet and fried fish bones. Trust me on this...the last dish is a must try. So many amazing dishes, there's something for everyone.
It's legit! Glad to have tried this place recommended by a friend. Came the day before Lunar New Year and they had a great crowd. Very quick service and lovely staff! Definitely coming back.
Food is always consistently delicious. This is by far the best authentic Cantonese restaurant in South Florida. The staff here is friendly and really nice. We never skip this restaurant when visiting South Florida.

Hands down the best restaurant for dim sum specifically in the Pembroke Pines area. China Pavilion is located in a pretty chill shopping center not too far from Pembroke Lakes mall. The restaurant feels very authentic to how Chinese restaurants are, the restaurant has a fish tank at the entrance which is very on brand and over all it's a pretty casual space. The food is really good and there are so many items on the menu, that I definitely recommend coming with a few people so you can try all the things you want without it being way too much food. There are a few waiters/waitresses and they all attentive. Even though one person takes the order, the other servers may bring your food, get you another drink, or clear things off of your table. This is also another restaurant I will definitely be back to and highly recommend, especially if you're looking for Dim Sum in Pines. read more

Arrived at 8:20 pm and I was told "sorry we are closed". When I called out the fact the sign reads "Friday open until 11 pm" the lady said "well... you see.... It's Friday and we are busy". I don't know what else I need to say for this review! There were empty tables, and it was just me (not a huge party). I'm bummed because I just moved to the area, and I wanted to try this place based on the pix. read more

Another Great Experience at China Pavilion!!! If you're thinking of coming here, let me give you a tip: avoid Sundays. It gets packed with long waits. Instead, try visiting on weekdays, especially before 4 PM when they're serving Dim Sum--it's absolutely worth it! The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and authentic. My wife especially loved the Red Bean Bun and the Sponge Cake, saying they were better here than at other places she's tried. This place has become one of our favorite spots for Dim Sum in the area. Highly recommend if you want a true taste of traditional Chinese flavors in a lively setting. Can't wait for the next time! read more

Recently found out about this place from a coworker. This place is awesome. Three different menus one Peruvian Chinese menu one regular menu for Americans and one menu for Chinese people. The dim sum are awesome. The shrimp dumpling soup is awesome and the lobster and garlic sauce was very very good. read more
I like China pavilion. Great food. When I dine here , I like the regular dishes rather than the dim sum. Dim sum prices are high and I can always go to Ten Ten for that. But this wonton noodle soup had a little Of everything. Pork. Veggies, a sufficient amount of wontons and noodles. Very filling. read more

Not the cleanest restaurant, old inside and dirty. The floor is like an ice skating rink. The soup excellent great flavor, egg roll greasy just bland. Entree was over salty and very little meat, fried rice had a strange flavor. Excellent service but this location is not 4 stars. I have it 2 for the soup and service read more

This is always my go-to place in the area for dim sum. I live in downtown Miami and I've been coming here since it was Bamboo Garden (I'm almost 40, so at least 35+ years lol). If you want authentic Chinese food, this is the place to go. Prices are super affordable as well compared to living costs and eating out these days. And the taste and variety hits the spot. They are super fast with table turnovers too. read more
I've been coming here for so many years & it's always been consistently good. They serve amazing dishes & have some of the best dim sum around. It should be noted that they only offer their dim sum menu from 11-4 but I definitely recommend going for it specifically. Sometimes it takes a little while because they get busy, but they surely pump the orders out. Usually the orders will come out staggered because they serve them as they're finished & I like that because nothing sits around. The steamed shrimp dumplings, pork/shrimp siu mai & steamed ribs with black bean sauce are must haves! Get some BBQ pork buns while you're at it. Whenever I crave take out, this is usually my go-to spot. The portion sizes are huge & the prices are very reasonable. You can't go wrong with a combo because it comes with an egg roll, rice & soup. Both the wonton & egg drop soup are delicious. Dining in is always good too because the service is typically on point. It's always clean inside & tables get turned quickly. read more

Very good Chinese Restaurant in the heart of Pembroke Pines!!! First time coming to China Pavilion and while the serve was a bit slow, the food was delicious and fresh! Large portions and great daily specials (Monday-Friday). Their lunch specials and early bird dinners are around $10-15 which come with a soup, egg roll, main course with rice, and fruity dessert (oranges). Ambience is casual nothing fancy and the overall service was okay. Next time I will come for lunch time because that's when they have Dim Sum. Highly recommend to anyone! (: read more
This is my favorite dim sum restaurant in Broward County. Our immediate family and Chinese relatives have been going to this eatery for years (and some of them are chefs). In fact, when my elderly uncle passed away a couple of years ago, we held his post-funeral repast in this restaurant. The dim sum is authentic and delicious. It's better than anything else you'll eat in Broward County. I would have sworn that I already had done a review of this restaurant, but I can't seem to find it. Favorite items include shumai (shrimp and pork dumplings), steamed ribs, sticky rice, and ni wong bao (steamed custard buns), to name a few. Service is spotty. It can be friendly. It can be hurried and harried. But for the most part, it's okay. And the food surely overshadows it. There usually is a male manager on the dining room floor, who's very distinctive from the rest of the servers. And if you have any trouble, just call out to him and he'll make sure you get good service. Prices are not cheap but very reasonable for current dim sum rates. read more
Great dim sum place in Broward County. This restaurant has a lot creative dim sum. There are a lot customers at lunch. This must be popular even is Friday Afternoon. In the menu, we notice 5 different items that rare from normal dim sum restaurants. The first one is the durian puff. This puff has crispy crust. Real durian inside. Taste selection is suitable for American. The second dish is the duck roast pork rice roll. This roll has duck and bbq pork. It is another good creative tapas. The next dish is the steam turnip pudding. Most people pan fried the turnip. This dish put the turnip in bowl and steam. The following is the pan fried pork and vegetables roll. I recommend this dish because it has straw mushrooms and mince pork. The next fried shrimp and mango roll. This is a great dish. Stuff eggplant, soup dumplings and shrimp dumplings are our other dish. Those are good too. Love the food. read more

We love coming here for dim sum on the weekends! You know it's an authentic place when they are packed! Food is authentic and always delicious. Great quality food and they have a ton of people helping out to make sure your service needs are met. Ambience wise it felt like a Chinese restaurant from the late 80s. Huge restaurant with tons of tables ample seating for large parties and families. Definitely go a check out their dim sum menu! read more

Not sure what happened here but my order today was General Tsos chicken and combo fried rice. I picked it up, it was cold. The chicken was definitely old. Not fresh. The soy sauce was extra vinegary on the fried dumplings. Definitely dissatisfied-will not come back. read more

I know the soup dumplings list chicken broth, is the meat also chicken or pork?
Pork
Is it dim sum where you order from a menu? Or do they put it on a cart and bring it to you and you choose what you like?
You order it off a menu and then they bring it to you. I prefer it that way since it's fresh from the kitchen. Plus you're not fighting with other people to get what's on the cart rollout out.…
Did they reopen sit-down service or is it still take-out only?
They going to reopen the dine-in on next Monday October.26
Are they closed because of the virus? I've tried calling on two different occasions and no one answers.
Friend of mine said that China Pavilion was open last week only for take out .
Have they permanently closed it down? Before you answer, please double check because they were closed for no apparent reason and it's a favorite of mine.
I know the one in Naples closed, dont know for how long but Pembroke Pines location is still open
