I've ordered delivery from Dragon Gate many of times with no disappointments. Food is always well packaged and order is always right. We strolled in to dine on a Sunday evening, ravenous. Staff was welcoming and seated us immediately. Service was quick with wait time for our order less than 20 mins. The restaurant's delicious and authentic Cantonese and Szechuan cuisine always delivers. I love the crab rangoon and shrimp fried rice. My friends loved the Szechuan beef and veggies. The portions are generous. With great food and friendly service, this restaurant is worth checking out. read more

Very disappointed. The food was just brown, ugly and tasted awful, especially the pork fried rice. Sweet and Sour Pork was chewey and seemed to be old and/or over fried. The only thing we liked was the wonton soup. read more

When I think of my childhood, Dragon Gate was at the center of our celebrations. This Chinese New Year it was very nice to reminisce on good times over a great lunch. Their dining area is large & clean. Nelson was so patient & kind as I took my time deciding what to order. Their lunch specials are so affordable! I had the bbq ribs & shrimp lunch special served with pork fried rice. The wonton soup tasted exactly how I remember. I added fried chicken dumplings, they were crispy and tasty. I hope to return on Sunday for their new year celebration. Gong Xi Fa Cai! read more

Unacceptable Drop in Quality - Major Disappointment for a Longtime Customer: I am deeply upset with the meal I picked up to-go from Dragon Gate today, as my family and I have always relied on this restaurant for freshness, making this order of two dinner plates a massive letdown. When we sat down to eat, it was immediately clear that the side items were not prepared fresh to order: while the pepper steak and chow mein were fresh and hot, the fried rice looked and tasted completely old and stale, and the egg rolls were not fresh at all. We couldn't even eat the rice or egg rolls and had to throw them out, which completely ruined the meal for us. When you buy food to go, it should always be made on the spot, piping hot and fresh. Serving old, leftover sides to loyal customers completely destroys trust, and I honestly feel I should go back and get my money back because I don't like this place anymore and won't be returning until management fixes their quality control. read more

I used to eat here all the time but lately I've been pretty disappointed with the quality of my food and customer service. I always order for pickup the Singapore rice noodles spicy. This was the 3rd time my meal was not made as requested. The noodles weren't spicy and there were flakes of burnt egg pieces. The meal was also lukewarm at best. I called to make a complaint and was told they don't really make spicy noodles....then why not say that when I placed the order. Prices have also increased and the portions have decreased. I ordered crab rangoon and they now charge extra for sweet and sour sauce. read more

Sorry already ate my food but I came on here to say I'm new to the area and I love this place I've been about 6-7x now and wow just phenomenal. Their egg rolls are beyond delicious, not basic , their "chicharrón" pork belly is wow! Their rice is good Overall a great place to order from. Also dinning in with a big crowd is nice to have since they have a lazy Susan tabletop making sharing easy. read more

Dragon Gate - Steamed Whole Fish W / Ginger and Scallions - Chinese Near Me - Pembroke Pines, Florida

Tonight is Chinese New Year 2025. I was craving Chinese food and decided to order hot and sour soup along with beef with snow peas and black mushrooms. The food was ready when I arrived 15 minutes after placing my order. I have been going here for years. I have fond memories of eating here with my family and having fabulous food. It is good but it just doesn't taste the same as in the past. The hot and sour soup was more like mild instead of medium. The vegetable were chopped and not as abundant as before. The beef dish was good too. This is an occasion that I would give 3.5 stars if I could. read more

We visited this location this afternoon after doing some errands with my wife. She wanted some Chinese place and she heard this is a great location with great reviews. We gave it a try and I am glad that we did. The food was great. The server was on point and it's not expensive for all the food that we got. I will recommend this business and I will definitely come again read more

Dragon gate 3.5 ???? Noooooooooooooo way....Dragon Gate chinese food is probably the best chinese food in all Pembroke pines , miramar ,davie , plantation, cooper city, weston, pembroke park , tamarac , south west ranches , miami gardens, miami lakes.....plenty of food & very good quality & great service! The only place that might compete with Dragon gate is PF changs ....that place near Dragon gate...Bamboo Garden Chifa ? Thats pretty bad ! & a lot of latins & south Americans give them 4, 4.5, 5.0.....then again, I've been living in west ppines now for 31 yrs, lived in 7 states ,known 42 & Dragon Gate s a solid solid quality chinese food place.... read more

Great option for traditional, family style Chinese food. There are plenty of menu and special options-- from a variety of vegetables and different proteins, I recommend ordering some items that sound good to try it out! Each shareable plate averages around $15 - $20, which is a bargain. Our party of four ordered four plates, which came out to about $75. My favorite was the kalbi style stir fry. Despite visiting around 8:30PM, we waited very long for the food to come out. There were only two other tables of guests. This is unusual for Chinese restaurants like these, but I'll have to give this place another try! read more

Food was subpar General Toa's chicken was flavorless and not spicy and I ordered the medium. Fried rice was also bland, service was fast and staff was friendly. The restaurant itself was pretty gross; rug looks like it has never been changed, the fish tanks and there were several all murky and smelly, furniture was outdated and sticky. read more

Created fast at door seated fast service was excellent ! Steamed fish with baby bok choy and bamboo baby bamboo shoot with a very light but tasty sauce Brown probably the best steamed fish I've had in years read more

I used to order from here at least twice a week, the best and most authentic Chinese food in town. Now, not only has the prices skyrocketed, but the food is mediocre at best. read more

Nice family meal restaurant always want to get back... love their Chinese barbecue food!

Food is awesome and a lot of it. Staff is very polite and friendly. Ambiance is very authentic as is the comfortable seating.

Quick fast service. Large menu with many options. Plenty of parking in a strip mall. I ordered won ton soup, pork dumplings, and Mongolian Beef. The won ton soup was my favorite. The dumplings were ok, and the Mongolian beef wasn't the flavors I am used to. There were plenty of other items on the menu I might try next time. read more

Ordered online for pick-up. Food was good and ready within 15 minutes. Prices were reasonable.

This was our first visit. We've been looking for a good chinese restaurant since the one we used to visit, closed because of Covid and never reopened. Well, we found the Dragon Gate because some friends asked us to join them for dinner there. Their Sorghum worbar, was not as good the other restaurant but it was very good. I would recommend this restaurant, if you want good chinese food, in a pleasant atmosphere, moderately priced and excellent service. read more

Food was so good! Not greasy!! We will definitely order from here again! Way better than China City!

Hate to write bad reviews, especially about places that I have been to before and were good. Ordered the number 15: chicken with deluxe vegetables. The "sauce"(?) was watery and the chicken was anything but fresh and tasteless as well as tough. read more

We have been coming to Dragon Gate for quite some one and they never disappoint. The food is always consistent and very fresh, especially the vegetables. The service is what makes it special -- they know our favorite table and even remember what we like to order. It feels comfortable and familiar every time we walk in. We are very grateful to have such a good Chinese restaurant in our community. Highly recommend. read more

Felt like eating Chinese this evening. Boy did I make a mistake. I ordered the broccoli with beef. I wanted fried rice instead of white rice so I paid extra for it which I didn't mind. The fried rice was about I worst I've had. They don't even put egg in it. If you feel like Chinese skip Dragon Gate in Pembroke Pines. read more

This used to be my family's go to spot for tasty Chinese food. Ever since they changed owners, we have noticed a steady decline in the quality. The rice would be hard and tasted reheated. The crab rangoons would be super greasy and limp. The chicken from the honey garlic chicken would be tasteless with large globs of the breading tasting uncooked. I tried to keep giving this place chances hoping it was just them having an off day, but it just keeps getting worse. Today was the last and final time I will be buying from them. The pork fried rice had old moldy bean sprouts that were blue/green. I am not even going to waste my time going back to the restaurant to try to get a refund as I fear that with this new management, it will be a waste of time. Goodbye Dragon Gate! read more

Dragon Gate - Pork fried rice - Chinese Near Me - Pembroke Pines, Florida

Very delicious and fresh. I see what all the hype was about. It's going to be our go to place from now on.

What a horrible experience. We went today, Tuesday at 12:00pm for lunch. There was only one other table occupied, party of 4. We ordered a special Wonton soup, a lunch special pepper steak, and 10 crab Rangoon. We specifically asked for tea when we ordered. The wonton soup barely had any broth. The pork in it tasted off, the chicken was flavorless and so were the wontons. It did have a nice amount of vegetables. The pepper steak should just be sold as pepper onions and peppers, there were maybe 3 pieces of steak and the special fried rice I had upgraded to was flavorless. The crab rangoons were just ok. The tea was never brought to the table and our water was never refilled until the waiter brought our check and we had to ask for some. No apologies when I told him he never brought the tea. We will never come here again. This use to be a pretty good restaurant to eat at. When they close, which will probably be soon, I will not be sorry for them as the service, quality of food, and taste of food was terrible. It gets one star from me because zero is not an option. read more

The food was ok. The food needed a bit more flavor, but it was okay. I added more soy sauce to the rice, and it turned out fine. The meat didn't have much taste, but it was well-cooked. Good portion size. I liked the eggroll. read more

I was looking for a local Chinese restaurant that servers authentic Chinese food and came across this restaurant. It's Christmas Day, and this place is open. The person on the phone was courteous despite how busy they are (one of the few places open Christmas Day for dinner). She told me they have the standard menu, one for take out and one for dine in. They also offer authentic Chinese food if we order it in Chinese with the owner. What a plus!! I've been searching for another restaurant in the miramar/ pines area that serves authentic Chinese food and with good service/ courteous staff. We ordered Peking pork chops, beef &scallops with vegetables, snow pea tips, beef chow fun. All were cooked very well, fresh, good flavor, not overly salty or filled with msg. I will definitely be ordering here or dining in here for my home comfort foods. read more
