Came in for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. Big location, perfect for bigger groups. This is not your traditional buffet where you get up and pick your things. You get a menu and then you start telling the servers what would you like and they will bring it to the table. You can tell that the sushi rolls and everything is made to order and is fresh. They do also have a à la carte menu if you feel like you want to order something specific on a set pricing. Definitely if you like sushi and seafood this is a good spot however, if you're used to a more traditional Asian buffet, this might not be for you as they don't have picky eater options like fries, chicken nuggets, etc.. I loved it, and this is a spot that I will come back the lychee martini 10/10.

This place hits all the marks when it comes to a sushi buffet, giving you a wonderful tableside experience instead of having to wait in line for your food. They offer an extensive selection of fresh sushi, including many rolls, sashimi, and unique specialty options. Everything I ate was delicious, right down to the hibachi steak. Although their dessert options were limited, they were still very good, and if you are coming with kids who do not eat sushi, they have a kids' menu with a great selection. The servers seem to work in pairs and bring the food out quickly. The restaurant itself is modern, cute, and very clean, with about four large, long tables that are great for accommodating big groups. Since my party had five people, we had to wait a bit for a table, but they have an easy digital check-in on site where you can hold your place in line.

Our dining experience started out great. Our waiter was attentive and charismatic. The inside is very nice and spacious. Nice lighting and a good ambiance. Good quality sushi and all different sorts to try from. The food does take long to come out. There were times in between the courses we were waiting 10 minutes for the food to come out. It's a different concept to the all you can eat. You order the food and it's made fresh. Very cool. The reason for my poor rating is because of management. Apparently there's a 2 hour max seating. I'm not sure if it's because they sat us in a table for a big party or what the case was but at two hours our waiter came by and told us the manager said we had met our seating limit. No where on the menu does it say the 2 hour max nor is it displayed anywhere in the restaurant. We paid our meal and let the waiter know we were missing an item which was the cheesecake. He let us know It would be out in 3-5 minutes. More than 3-5 minutes had passed by when another employee came and told us we had to leave because they had to flip the table. We left without the cheesecake and as we were leaving I counted at least 5 empty tables. If you're going to have a time limit make it known and also make sure the food doesn't take long to come out. Not sure how true this time limit is or what the deal was but maybe change the concept of having to wait for the waiter to pass by to order more food so the customer isn't seated for two hours. I will not be coming come back. It was so embarrassing and flat out rude from the manager.

Sushi Yama.... More like Sushi Yummy! Great all you can eat concept with amazing and unique rolls offered along with appetizers and hibachi items. Everything is made to order and delivered after being prepared. Hard choices to see what rolls or items to order so order wisely as many of these are full rolls. Loved the jalapeño snapper and the Baby Tiger Roll as these were the favorites. Plates are nicely prepared and brought out on platters based on what's ordered to be served family style. Sushi Yama is new in the area and everything is clean and very spacious. Busy spot and service has some improvements that's needed. Orders sometimes are missed or forgotten and not delivered. We had to order simple shrimp tempura like 3 times. Some apps and one roll took forever to arrive. Otherwise everything else was timely. So there's still room to work out the service kinks and I'm sure our next visit can be flawless!

Love me some Sushi Yama!!! Fresh fish, quality over quantity, and great service! You pay a fixed price of $35.95 on the weekends and dinner on the weekdays and you can order all you can eat from the menu. They have sushi raw and cooked, plenty of appetizers like edamame and gyozas, and even Habachi like shrimp, steak, and chicken! The sushi rolls come in 5 or 8 pieces and you can order several to try them. They also have hand rolls and sashimi. They do make everything fresh to order so you might have some waiting in between. Lots of parking since this is located inside a shopping center and tons of tables inside. Ambience is great love the cute decor, simply yet creative. P.S Keep in mind if you leave a lot of food left over they will charge you for the waste. Highly recommend to anyone to check them out!!!

The perfect place for big backs like me. This place offers an all you can eat menu which includes sushi, appetizers, desserts and more. I managed to eat 32 pieces so I definitely got my moneys worth. The sushi itself is good quality and they have a good variety. Favorite roll: atomic volcano The server was friendly and made good recommendations. If you got a big appetite, this is a great spot. FYI: if you have any leftovers they will charge you for it so eat up and only order what you can eat.

We found ourselves unexpectedly in this area of Hollywood, hungry after visiting friends here. It's a Sunday around 1:30, our usual brunch adventure time! After a quick yelping, we found another nearby Sushi Yama, like the one we LOVE is Orlando near Disney! We arrived to find plentiful free accessible parking in the strip mall. The restaurant is big and bright with a big nice bar area in the indoor patio style room. Lots of seating here. We were seated immediately. It is NOT a buffet, but waiter sit down service and more than just sushi. What sets this one apart from the other all you can eat Sushi Yama is you are NOT REQUIRED to pay all you can eat, even if others in your party elect to! Hubby paid 35.95 which is a steal for him, and I got my usual two cooked rolls. Drinks are refillable with exception of juices & specialty or alcohol. My rolls were good, not exceptional at 5.95 each, hubby's dishes were beautifully presented and he said they were great. Staff were great, although a bit slow due to AUCE. They were great with our quiet & invisible service dog. I spilled water & it seeped through table on top of poor Ahsoka! They mopped it up well. Thanks! If you're looking for a nice comfortable bright sit down service with good quality food choices for AUCE at reasonable prices, this is it. Yay! Thanks for following me, Happy yelping in hot summer 2026! ~Tami in Miami

Where do I begin this review... I can't even believe that we are fortunate enough to have found this restaurant. Every single item that we have ordered is absolutely delicious, fresh and tasty. Order the Mexican hand roll and the teriyaki beef, you won't regret it! The presentation is spectacular, I have to make an effort to take a picture of the food because I get so excited when it arrives that I don't get to take a picture before it's gone! The place is huge, it accommodates large parties which is a great plus. We have been going every week since it opened and have left super happy each time. We have had a waiter by the name of David who is the most attentive and kind person in the world.i can't wait until our next family visit to Sushi Yama!

Veggie, king oyster mushroom, & shrimp tempura

Located on the corner of Pines Blvd and Palm Ave, this spot is the newest all you can eat to the neighborhood. This isn't a traditional buffet but rather a set menu you can order as much as you want from and they bring it to you. Service was pretty quick and you just have to work out how to best stagger your ordering so you don't have too much at once or waiting too long since they bring out as soon as it's ready. The appetizers were good and we just sampled a few hot and cold to try it out but wanted to save room for the main event, sushi! The ginger dressing is pretty solid there and the clams soup was surprisingly simple but flavorful. The hand rolls were a good size and well made but the flavors of the spicy tuna and spicy salmon seemed to not blend well in the roll. My favorite roll was probably the sunshine roll for its bright fresh flavor followed by the double J roll. The king oyster mushroom tempura was fire and the others were also good but we like the uniqueness and texture of the mushroom. The biggest con to this AYCE is that the rolls are full 8 pieces per order. Everything else seems scaled down to order individually or to share but not the rolls. We were only 3 people and wanted to try a little of everything so we only got to try 4 rolls and that last one was a struggle. Many other spots like this will do 4 pieces per roll so that opens up some stomach space. While the food was fresh and tasty, I won't be running back as there are many other good options for the price point or less for lunch (and certainly for dinner at around $35 a person I believe ). If you like eating a whole roll vs trying a little of this and a little of that, and you have a big appetite, then maybe this is your spot.

First time dining at Sushi Yama and our lunch experience was better than what we expected. The interior is clean and the atmosphere was inviting. Even for lunch, I would say it was pretty crowded at around 245ish. Our server was welcoming, personable, and professional. Because of high volume, it did take him a little while to reach our table and take our drink orders along with our food orders. Some dishes like the salads came out almost right away within minutes. Some dishes like sushi rolls and nigiri's took about 25 minutes to come out. What took the longest time was the tempuras. Overall though, the experience was worth our time and money. The food quality is pretty decent too. If I must say one thing to warn the future goers, don't order too many tempura dishes because their tempura batter isn't the best. Everything else was decent including the teriyaki's and the stir fried noodle dish we tried. The hand rolls are huge so don't order too many at once. Yes I would recommend this place to others. Yes I wouldn't mind coming back in the future. Thank you sushi Yama for a nice first time lunch experience!

Tuna and shrimp sushi

So glad this place opened! I love the idea of all you can eat sushi where it's not sitting out for everyone to breathe on. I've been a few times now, one time the service was a bit slow but the others were great. The restaurant is much bigger than the pictures would lead you to believe, and feels very bright and airy. The food is generally pretty good, although sometimes when I've ordered the tuna sushi it has that sinew in it that gets stuck in my teeth, which i hate. I'm sure this won't be an issue for most people. Be warned the rolls are HUGE. I wish you had the option to order either the full roll or a half roll so you could try more variety, so you might want to go with a group. The menu says no sharing, which is kind of weird if everyone is getting all you can eat? But no one has seemed to mind when we have shared, so I'm not really sure why that's on there. The presentation of the sushi rolls is beautiful, I think the flowers on the plates are such a nice, small touch. The hibachi steak is amazing, I'm not sure what cut it is, but we've ordered medium cook and it's so tender. Highly recommend! The pineapple fried rice is also a hit; if you order hibachi it doesn't come with rice, so you'll have to pick one and order it separately. (Kind of nice, in case you don't want to fill up on rice) It's worth noting that the lunch menu offers Teriyaki chicken, but not the dinner/weekend menu; my mom was disappointed about that. After the first visit, when we had planned to come back with a group, the server told us they accept reservations; but when i later called (they were too busy for me to bother them at that time) they told me they don't, so you might want to time your arrival accordingly. I'd probably give it 4.5 stars. Overall very happy to have this place, will be back again and again.

Been waiting for this location to open for some time now! Tried them in orlando and fell in love at once! Great quality and tasting food all for one price. I do like how they bring you little by little at a time. Everything was delicious. Not one item I was disappointed with. The decor inside is beautiful, calming and soft tones, definitely nice We had the honor of having Selena as our waiter, and she is just the sweetest and most patient person. She explained everything well and clearly. Never had an issue waiting for any items. I really felt like Selena almost made us feel like family. Overall happy about everything this new location has brought. Theres not a thing I would change.

Officially has taken the crown for top Sushi place in Pines. Sushi is amazing, fantastic selection, if you've been to other locations, you know exactly what to expect, and they deliver. Staff is friendly and service is very fast, they have a whole team of sushi chefs working, and the wait staff are always running back and forth. Ambiance is fantastic, they did a great job with the decor including the everything from the walls to the flooring to the random themes for the dining areas.

Nothing tasted mass-produced or like the same food you can get at every other spot. You can tell they actually care about keeping the food authentic while still having fun with the menu, and so much of it is made in-house. And the menu has RANGE. Japanese, Korean, sushi, comfort food, creative rolls--there are so many things I want to come back and try. Everything we ordered had actual flavor and tasted intentional. The mozzarella pull aloneeee absolutely ridiculous. Even the drinks ate. The Milkis especially was sooo good and went perfectly with the food. It smelled so, so good. I had called and the guy said they were not busy. We walk in and the lady asked if we had a reservation. Wish he would have mentioned that but anyway, we were sat right away. Our server took quite a while to come over. When she did, she was very nice. We started with Kirin beers that were ice cold. He ordered some fancy eel roll. I had a piece but I am not a fan of eel. It did seem well put together. My JB roll was the best one I ever had. Truly delicious and fresh. We also ordered Mongolian beef. This was really delicious and not overly salted. I was surprised the portion wasn't bigger for a $25 price. Still, very tasty. The side dish of brown rice came about 10 minutes after the dish arrived. This was a bit annoying. We ordered the fried rice with chicken and shrimp later on. When it arrived, I thought it didn't look great. That all changed when I tasted it. The flavors here for the hot food items are very authentic. This dish doesn't seem to photograph well either but let me tell you, it is awesome! There are big tasty shrimps in there, maybe 6 of them. They don't even really show up here. The chicken is also fantastic. This is an excellent restaurant I want to go back to soon.
