This place is a nice gem in Davie if you're crazing Chinese. It's also quite affordable with great portions. Stopped by really quick for the first time in a long time and ordered a few different items to go. Walking in the restaurant I was greeted by the nice young lady that provided great friendly service. As you walk in you can smell the delicious food which made my mouth water yet I was so indecisive on what to order with the large variety of options on the menu. The location was simple and noticeably clean as it had an open kitchen with a few tables to dine in. My order was prepared within 15/20 minutes and on the ride home I was extremely tempted to open up the bag to eat something as its smell was mouthwatering. By the time I got home all the food was still hot and clearly freshly cooked with a large portion to last the next day. I would definitely go back for their lunch specials to try other items. I just ordered 12 egg rolls and damn they were some of the best egg rolls we've had in ages. These were as authentic as I remember them from some of the best Chinese restaurants in the 80's. The only reason why I am even giving this place a star is because yelp requires me to, the food was awful... we ordered in because Flanigan's was too crowded so we decided to stay home and get Chinese... BIG mistake!!! I ordered Chicken wings with pork fried rice and a side of small fries-all old! I have to admit this is the best Chinese restaurant I have ever ordered from in years. Last night I wasn't sure what to order so I saw the House Specialties and ordered "Happy Family". It was the best dinner. There was so much pork, chicken,beef, shrimp,scallops and krab meat, combined with the veggies in the brown sauce. I could only eat half and saved the other half for lunch the next day. I highly recommend ordering this if you want a little bit of everything. Ordered fried chicken wings- nothing really special tasted like the ones you get at a Chinese buffet. At least they were hot and crispy, not bad. Moo shu pork- too much gravy! They used Char sui which is bbq pork and it was good. Also the pancakes provided were actually spring roll skins. Shrimp with snow pea- Shrimps were very good size and plenty!! Very tasty! I eat mostly vegan and so Asian restaurants lend themselves well to my diet. I can usually order some vegetable low mein and be satisfied. I happened to be in the plaza at Publix and noticed this Chinese restaurant offered lots of good vegetarian and tofu options and made a mental note to try them out. Last night I ordered the General Tso's tofu and the eggplant in garlic sauce. Both were outstanding! The tofu was lightly fried and the sauce was thick and sweet without being overly so. The eggplant was cut into thick pieces and sautéed and the brown sauce was super garlicky and delicious. I got a free wonton soup from ordering online that I gave to my kids and they said was good too. Will definitely order from here again. Living right down the street, this is our staple Chinese restaurant. Eating a vegetarian (mostly vegan) diet, they have a good selection to choose from. I've seen this place so many times from the menus they pass out at Broward College and NSU, but I decided to try it on a whim after a co-worker said she wasn't feeling a Pub Sub. China House is quietly nestled next to the Publix in the same plaza. You will miss it unless you walk in on the opposite side of the main entrance. It's not a place you go to if you have an entire entourage, but instead maybe a group of 3, possibly 4. Since I was on break, I grabbed my food to-go. The utensils and sauces are laid out on the table adjacent to the register, so remember to grab them on your way out. I ordered the honey garlic chicken, which was breaded and the honey garlic sauce came separate with regular rice and veggies.The food itself was very fresh (made to order), but I wasn't a huge fan of the chicken. The menu didn't state it was breaded, so that threw me off somewhat. I tried the boneless spare ribs the following day, and it was okay as well. I found that the spare ribs were more fatty than what I would have thought was acceptable, and I felt as if it hadn't been seasoned well enough. There were one or two occasions where I got ready to eat some of the spare-ribs and it just smelled a little too raw for my liking. The meals are for the most part under $10, which means I'll go ahead and try it out again, but make sure you ask enough questions about how the food is prepared before you order. read more

I generally don't leave 3 ratings on Yelp. I usually only post when something is really good or really bad. This place is really neither, but i do find myself ordering from here quite frequently. It's close to my house and for the most part the food is tasty. Sweet and sour chix is good. BBQ ribs are hit and miss. But as most of us know, Chinese service leaves a lot to be desired. There is atmosphere in many Chinese places, this one included, that they're semi nice until you pay them and then they want you out the door. Which is irritating as a Westerner accustomed a higher level of service for paying customers. But it is what it is. I'll eat their food. read more

I was surprised to see some of the reviews from eight months to a year ago. I find this restaurant to be consistently good. The food I have ordered over the past six months is fresh, very large portions and delicious. Their Fried dumplings are a little too fried on the outer edges but the sauce they serve with those fried dumplings is the best I've ever had. If you like steamed dumplings get the steamed. The Mongolian beef is delicious. The beef fried rice used to be a very light color I loved it when they made that way but now they seem to add soy sauce to it and it's not as good. The young man who was cleaning at the time of my order filled 5 pots with soap and water proceeded to grab a broom from the floor , began dipping it in the pots and stared scrubbing the walls while continuously dunking the dirty broom in the different pots as he scrubbed the wall. Ordered takeout. Love eggrolls but I must use the house hot mustard sauce. I hate the taste of that packaged junk. Anyway...Made it very clear over the phone that we wanted the house hot mustard sauce, stating it several times. So, guess what, No hot mustard sauce, not even the packaged cr*p. Also, I had the Kung Pau Chicken. Not very tasty at all. Called to complain about not getting sauce and given bs excuse of new employee not writing it down. Wanted to give consideration for next order. Now, call me unreasonable, but when you make a special request and they mess it up, especially when they are about 1.5 miles away. I expect them to put it on the next delivery vehicle and get it out to me. I don't want special consideration on next order, I want to eat my eggrolls that ended up going to waste.
