    What it is now
    Nam N.

Just regular mall food or every other Chinese take out store. Quality went down after Linda sold to new owners. Nothing is made the same. This restaurant used to be a special gem. Always busy with orders and customers. Now there is nothing special about this place. Their menu is printed "incorrectly now". Their menu states that you get a free soda, AND a choice of EITHER egg roll OR crab rangoon with your lunch order. I've been here when they first changed ownership and they gave me the Rangoon WITH the soda, BUT now they are saying they never offer that and the menus are wrong. As for food, something as simple as their general Taos chicken is nothing like It used to be, three whole pieces of chicken breast made with a rich dark brown sauce. Now it's just cut up nuggets with a very light flavorless sauce.

This is a hole in the wall place. Mainly take-out. Lacks decoration. Could use some dusting Honey garlic chicken wing is my favorite. The front lady can be rude, loud, and unprofessional but the food is pretty good.

This is truly my favour, I will come up again for this and fired rice

For this, I thank you all!…read more I am happy to report that after 10 years of searching Pompano Beach and Fort Lauderdale near where we live, I have FINALLY found some SERIOUSLY GOOD CHINESE FOOD! I ordered the boneless ribs, pork egg rolls, chicken chow mein, beef lo mein, and pork fried rice. Everything was spectacular! Nothing was greasy, not one bit, not even the egg rolls. I'm a truly happy human. Takeout only is my opinion. And drive there with a friend, the area's a little--questionable. The person who took my order--efficient. The woman who took payment upon arrival--equally efficient, happy, and polite. My husband says: "I love it!" I'm glad we found our place.

SO obviously we took that as a sign that the food was good. I heard a few people who appeared to be regulars express frustration because the viral video has now made one of their favorite spots sell out and the too quickly. I waited a few days and decided to go back. I got the honey garlic lemon pepper wings with fried rice. I was not disappointed yall. The rice is like old school fries rice. No veggies, just bean sprouts and onions. Perfect. All I need. The wings were nice size, fried and sauced perfectly. I'm shock at how many reviews say the opposite. Normally after Chinese wings are friend, the meat turns yellow. I don't like that, but these, we love and have returned multiple times. Definitely a must try. I suggest you order ahead to cut down your wait time.

They offer dim sum, so we had some roast pork buns as appetizers. The buns had very little filling and the bread was a bit dry, as if the buns had been sitting in the warmer for awhile. (They are displayed in a warmer as you enter the restaurant.) There is no lunch menu on weekends, so we ordered from the regular menu. Prices averaged $17 to $20 per entree with seafood options averaging $23-$25. All meals are served with white rice. There are no options to switch to fried rice, unless you want to order it as an entree. My friend loves orange chicken, so that's what she ordered. Since the eatery is touted for its roast duck and roast pork, I ordered the latter. We shared both. The pork was a bit salty and a tad dry. And it needed more of it's glaze. Though I am not a fan of orange chicken, this was one of the best I have had. It was sweet, but not overly done. And the coating was light and crispy. The portions were large. We both ate and took home leftovers for our husbands. Service was spotty and rushed with only two people taking care of all the tables. I never got a straw for my glass of water, and it took a few requests to get chopsticks. One appetizer, two entrees, tax, and tip was about $57.

Though Christina is still around she retired and a sold to a relative so the restaurant still bares the Wan name and still has the best in Chinese food. What so much sets Wan's apart from other area Chinese restaurants is that it is maintained impeccable clean. Others in the area are notoriously known for being dirty and a quick check of Dirty Dining proves that. Also, Wan's tends to be more authentic Chinese, whereas others are more New York Chinese; hello General Tao's Chicken. LOL! Wan's is also one of the very few places you can get a real Peking Duck without advanced ordering, which is what I had. It came with the duck totally debone with great marination flavors accompanied by a delicious Hoisin sauce and the most delicate of pancakes. For Chinese food I can definitely recommend Wan's.

After seeing Wan's Tik-Tok videos for a year, we decided to go give it a try. We received the…read moremenus and started perusing them. I asked if they had one in Chinese so my wife could easily read it. She doesn't read English too well. To my surprise, they didn't have one. OK. No problem, I know what she likes so I ordered for her. I was hoping for more actual Chinese fare, but it was all Americanized Chinese dishes. I ordered the Sichuan Beef (which was marked spicy) and asked for it to be made extremely spicy. The waiter told me that he would bring some chili oil with the meal. I also ordered the Velveted Shrimp, Green Beans with Pork (which I was hoping would be like a Gan Bian Si Ji Dou, A very Famous Sichuan dish), and the Steamed Cod. The rice bowl was upside down on a small plate and came out almost immediately. Interesting presentation and it is supposed to keep it warm or something? We waited 10 minutes for the rest of the dishes to arrive. Not a long wait at all. First thing I dove into was the Sichuan Beef, as I lived in the Sichuan Province and love the Sichuan Style spicy food. I didn't see a single pepper, pepper flake or Sichuan Peppercorn in it at all.It wasn't really spicy at all. I asked my wife to give it a try, as things I find not spicy at all, she finds too spicy. She didn't taste a hint of spicy at all. I dumped the entire spicy chili oil that the waiter brought in and mixed it up and tried it again. Still nothing. My wife could still eat it. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything really great. When I order Sichuan Spicy food, I expect serious heat, and the mouth numbing Sichuan Peppercorn flavors. Zero. The Green Beans with Pork were pretty meh, as were the Velveted Shrimp and the Steamed Cod. There really wasn't much taste to any of it. If you look at the pictures, you will notice that the sauces were not reduced and did not cling to the food. Maybe that was part of the problem. I jokingly told my wife it was probably better than a Cheap Chinese buffet and not as good as an average authentic Chinese Restaurant. She said she would rather go to the buffet, and she never goes to the buffets... We did arrive there right when they opened and saw Wan come in a half hour later. Maybe the problem was that it wasn't him cooking the food. I do like his video's though. The cost of these four dishes and a soda was $110.00. Highly overpriced, in my opinion, for pretty average Americanized Chinese food.

The other complication is that it is pretty difficult to find an authentic Trini Chinese food business in South Florida. Trini's Chinese Bites could not have been any harder to find, but was well worth the exploration. Since my MCL damage I have had to return to Total Orthopedic for my progress to be reviewed by the doctor. After a visit, I searched for food in the area and was excited to find this restaurant. It is a takeout only establishment but the area is clean and there is a clear view of the kitchen, so you can see all the tasty delights getting prepared. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and able to answer any questions you might have about the menu. I love that smell of fresh, well seasoned food being prepared in front of you. The menu is full of local (Trinidad) favorites, like Char Sui Kai Fan and Pepper Chicken, and sides as well. The portions are huge, tasty, and mouthwatering. Everything was cooked to perfection and the wait time was very short. The fried rice had the taste and flavor of the Dragon (Wok Hey), a thing that sets Chinese food places and chefs apart from each other. I only wish there were a bit more vegetables in there. As I will have many more trips to the doctor until I am fully healed, I will be back to Trini's Chinese Bites until I have tried everything on the menu. Hope to see you there.

Order and leave. Order and leave. No lingering. And no tables to clean after patrons leave. Regarding service, we received a warm welcome from one of the owners. We placed our order, which came from a menu posted on the window and inside on the wall. The choices were far from standard Chinese restaurants, as that was a Trinidadian Chinese restaurant. Order time was minimal to go along with the minimal pricing. Once home, we enjoyed our meal. It was definitely not par for the course.
