They…read morehad a bunch of visual tricks and garnishings, but the meal itself was nothing special and the wine pairing did not suit the meal at all. I have had many better Thai experiences throughout the lower mainland at a fraction of the price and with better service. I even asked a question of our waiter and he nervously responded, "I'm sorry, but we are not allowed to converse with the guests." Both myself and my friend who invited me thought this was very odd and it put a dark mood on the evening as we felt like we were being watched by the owners. It was creepy. A couple of other friends of mine also had similar experiences remarking that that staff are always walking on eggshells to the point where it dampened their experience. The experience was an unfortunate waste. Afterwards, we went to a different seafood restaurant in Steveston to get a full meal and we were satisfied by that experience, thank goodness. I have since steered many interested parties away from this restaurant and will continue to do so. **Plus, I don't know why it's stated here on Yelp that they have a Michelin Star, because according to the Michelin Guide, they do not. If Michelin has awarded them one, then Michelin stars mean nothing.

Portions are small, but clearly designed for a fine-dining experience rather than a filling meal. Standouts: The Pad Thai was impressive and well-balanced, especially for someone very familiar with Thai food. But the highlight for me was the Organic Coconut Galangal Soup with Crispy Wild Sockeye Salmon -- deeply flavorful, comforting, and the dish that truly stayed with me. Service: Attentive and thoughtful. I was here for my birthday and received a greeting letter and card, which made the experience feel extra special. Value: Pricey, yes -- but when you factor in the food, service, and overall experience, it's worth it for a special occasion. Highly recommended for celebrations or a meaningful night out.

After looking for suggestions on a good thai place in town, I stumbled upon Thai Mason. I ended up…read moreordering a choo chee curry with beef. The quantity of food for the price was great. I was most pleased with the quantity of meat in the dish. They did not skimp on it at all! The flavor was mostly good, very similar yet different from a Panang Curry. However, the entire time I was eating, it felt like it was missing something, like it just needed one or two more spices. Overall, it wasn't bad, it was good, just not great. Though this was a to go order, I still had a great interaction with the staff. They were all smiles and very friendly. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was clean and neat. Plenty of seating and plenty of table were filled! This is a restaurant that I will give another chance and try something else next time as their menu was very unique and different from a normal Thai restaurant.

I downgraded a bit because the seating is SO TIGHT it really distracts from a good dining experience. Please consider making tables a little more spaced out and private. It's absolutely too packed in on a popular night. We will either order to-go or go on off-hours from now on.

The restaurant…read morebusiness runs on small margins and every customer gets earned with difficulty and lost with ease. Consistency also matters when it comes to my red curry. Red curry is a simple dish and that nice texture of coconut milk adds a rich comfort to a simple a delicious dish. When the coconut milk separates and achieves that watery consistency, it loses everything. The good news is that it's easy to detect, because a flavorless red curry with a texture barely up to the consistency of water, it's absolutely disgusting. Yes, I called and let the business know. Yes, they offered to remake it. No, I didn't accept, that's not good enough. Takeout means the need to monitor the food at the moment it goes out. It's impossible to dish up a watery red curry and not know. Not doing so simply means someone didn't care. I also don't care now. I don't care to support a business that doesn't support me. I'm not going to drive back to the store to fix two mistakes, one not cooking the dish right and two, going ahead and dishing it up so my dinner is ruined. You didn't just ruin a dish, you ruined a relationship, lost a customer. Gone. Because somebody made a choice and now I have also. Disappointing.
