While the servers are clearly inexperienced, they were friendly and helpful. The chicken satay was extremely bland without any grill marks. I think they forgot the fish sauce (Nam Pla) in the marinade, and it probably was just dipped in coconut milk right before cooking instead of marinating overnight. It did not come with enough peanut sauce to save it. The fresh steamed rolls didn't taste Thai at all. It had surimi and was served with a dab of French mustard, which is a bizarre combination. The Pad Krapow Neua lacked heat despite my request for it to be really spicy. I've never had it served without visible chilies (Prik Chee Fa) in the dish, or without a side of Prik Nam Pla. The Khao Soi was good, and offering it with prawn instead of chicken is an interesting choice. Chicken or tofu would be original and probably be a better combination. The orchids added by the servers, touching food on every dish, are unnecessary and unhygienic. And made me doubt if they are pesticide-free or even reused. Missed opportunities: the servers never asked if anyone needed drinks. When water glasses are empty and easily reachable, staff should be able to step in and refill them from behind without interrupting a conversation. It would also help if servers tasted each dish so they could actually describe them to customers. The prices are fair, maybe even too low for some dishes and the entire experience could be so much better with very little effort. And the food did not match the other reviews, was Wipa out or something?

I ordered their lunch special "SET Vegan" ($20), which comes with a tofu pad thai, tofu yellow curry, and steamed rice. You pick your spice level--I chose Thai spicy. The food came out in about 10 minutes. The pad thai was top-notch--balanced flavours, adequate richness--with plenty of puffed tofu (rather than the usual thin strips of firm tofu as per the classic dish). The yellow curry was solid, coming with mixed veggies and puffed tofu, but only moderate flavour complexity. Neither was all that spicy but still had a nice kick. For $20, the value was great--lots of food and good quality. Really nice spot, extremely vegan-friendly, fast and good service, and good value. Very much recommended.
