I ordered 3 dishes, and each was very bland. Maybe I selected mild sauce, but it did not taste like Thai food. The 2 entree dishes were very small, maybe I needed to order 2 of each. The cucumber salad was so boring, with no seasoning. The bill was about $60 , so it was no cheap date! So we were very disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised to find this Thai food gem seemingly in the middle of nowhere in O'Fallon, IL! We ordered the chicken khao soi (the photo here looked too good to pass up) and a curry dish, and both were excellent. I especially loved the khao soi--it was my first time trying it, and I really enjoyed the contrast of crispy and soft noodles soaked in a rich, flavorful curry. Everything we had was delicious, and we truly enjoyed both our food and our time here. The restaurant itself is very large, with lots of tables and seating, yet there were only a few diners during regular dinner hours. I even mentioned this amazing place to a local, and he hadn't heard of it either, which was surprising! I would definitely come back to try more dishes. If O'Fallon ends up being the city I move to, I'd be happy having this Thai restaurant nearby without needing to travel all the way to St. Louis. read more

Checked out this place for lunch and the experience was good. I first noticed the modern designs in their dining area and it looks really good, they could definitely add another green backdrop to compliment their first one and cover up the unfinished paint. The food was freshly cooked and tasted amazing, I ordered the shrimp pad see ew and it came with a small spring roll. I noticed the foods were reasonably priced and we received a good amount of food with our order. The wait staff were attentive to make sure we had everything we needed but they also didn't bother us while we were enjoying the meal and in conversation, so I really appreciated that. New Thai restaurant in O'Fallon, IL. Little hard to find, as not very well lit outside and tucked away in the corner of a strip mall across from Marcus Theatres. Stopped by to order carry out dinner. Chicken Pad See Ew and Chicken Pad Thai, and appetizer Crab Rangoon. Inside decor rather sparse and plain, perhaps they are still finishing...and pretty dark inside. Staff, though were very welcoming, courteous and professional (greeted right away, brought me ice water while I reviewed the menu). Food came quickly and still very warm when I got home. Excellent! The food was so good that I couldn't stop eating--I had to write a review right away to show some support. This was my first time in O'Fallon for work, and I was craving Thai food for dinner. After a long search and reading through reviews, I decided to give Thai Belly a try, and it did not disappoint. I've had my fair share of Thai food from different parts of the country, and Thai Belly ranks right up there. I usually order the same dishes everywhere I go--not only because they're my favorites, but because it allows for a fair comparison between restaurants. The Pad Thai was good, though I would've liked a little more sauce and slightly less sweetness. That said, the beef salad and beef Pad Kra Pao were outstanding--9.9/10. Both were packed with bold, well-balanced flavors, though they could also be just a touch less sweet. Overall, an excellent meal and a place I'd happily return to. Great job to the chef! read more

Hands down the best Thai around. The Kao Soy was sensational and my new favorite dish! The staff and service is outstanding. They are very responsive and friendly. We've eaten here now three times in the last several weeks and each time has been outstanding. I am comparing this to a couple other Thai places in the local area, such as Thips and Thai Phon. Walking into the restaurant there's a small fountain to the right and it really stunk like an old dirty river mixed with a floral scent. I almost wanted to turn back around and leave, but my wife said to go further into the restaurant where it wasn't so bad. The food is very good and actually has the best coconut Tom Kha soup that I've ever had. The portions aren't as large as the other Thai places that we frequent but the flavor is there, but they could be a little heavy-handed on spice so be careful. They have some more work to do on the interior as there's not much to look at and it feels a little cold in there. Our server was a bit strange as she kept calling me ma'am when I'm clearly a, sir. My wife got very frustrated because she kept coming to the table asking if we needed anything and after giving our answer, she would stand there for a few more seconds. That was a little strange. The night we went was an extraordinarily busy and after we paid my wife and I wanted to sit, digest our food and talk. However, the server kept coming by asking if we wanted her to remove plates. She asked if we need anything. She must've come by three times in a period of 7 to 10 minutes before we felt we got the hint that they wanted us to leave. It was nowhere near closing time and there were over 10 tables that were vacant. We felt they just wanted us to pay and leave. We were very nice and complementary to the staff so we're not sure why they wanted us to leave so soon after paying the bill. Bottom line is the food was good and as well as the soup, but we would not return to eat in the restaurant. We would probably pick up food to take home, but our experience actually eating in the restaurant was not very good. read more

I want to start by saying the food is great! My issue is with the price gouging. This is my second time ordering for takeout here and I had to pay extra for meat in essentially every dish, which I settled with. While I was on my way to the restaurant to pick up my food, they called to ask what type of meat I wanted. I said chicken because all the dishes I ordered were chicken dishes. When I arrived, they charged me an extra 3 or so dollars and I asked what it was for. It was for the Lab Salad! This dish is composed of pretty much just chicken. No rice, no noodles. The cost was already $15 and then they charged me for chicken as well for what is a chicken salad. I told them it doesn't make sense and was told that's the way the owner made the menu. That is the reason I gave one star. Just want people to have a heads up before they go. read more
