My husband and I usually go out to eat on Saturday night, but today we had errands to run in the morning and felt like being home. We ordered from Thip's, not expecting much, and went to go pick it up. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in because the restaurant is very clean and cute inside. It wasn't busy, and as soon as we walked in, someone came to greet us and asked how she could help. She told us our food would be right out. Two minutes later, she came out with our order and thanked us. When we got home, we ate the hot food, and it was delicious. I got the sweet and sour tofu with fried rice and my husband got General Tsou's chicken. The level of spice was just right on both orders. We have since decided that the next time we want Thai food, we will go eat it at the restaurant because it was so inviting. read more

Food was really good. Love the gluten free marketing's on the menu. Delicious curry, egg rolls, pot stickers, fried rice and Pad dishes. The restaurant seems to be all female run or operated. Friendly service. It was a group effort. We wanted for nothing and left really satisfied. read more

I have found myself coming here multiple times for lunch. Located in O'Fallon, IL this restaurant is wonderful. Friendly staff, great service & tasty dishes. I recommend coming for their lunch special, which includes a house soup, entree of your choosing, and a spring roll all for $12.99. The soup is flavorful and light, a perfect start to a meal. I typically go for the vegetable Pad Thai extra veggies at spice level 2 add a side of white rice. So many great options to choose from on this menu as well as their separate dinner menu. A great choice in the area for some yummy Thai food. read more

Great service and not too busy for an early dinner on a Thursday night. Started with the sampler platter (picture not included). Was super delish and lots of bang for your buck! Got the noodle soup with pork as an entree, was just kind of mid, nothing special and the pork was eh. read more

Thip's has pretty decent Thai food with lots of great menu options. We ordered Spring Rolls as an appetizer, and they were very average-- nothing extraordinary. I ordered the Basil Herb Fried Rice with Veggies, and it was delicious. The basil flavor was super strong, which was personally a nice alternative to classic fried rice. The restaurant was relatively clean. There were only about two other full tables while we were there, so it was extremely quiet inside the restaurant throughout the meal. There were two employees working on the front end. Although they weren't exactly warm and friendly, they did a good job at providing attentive service to make sure we had everything we needed. While Thip's isn't anything special, it's still a very solid option if you're looking for some reliable Thai food. read more

I ordered the Thai fried rice as carryout. It looked and tasted like the fried rice had been sitting for hours. The vegetables were old also, including the mushrooms. I also ordered the crab rangoon and it was fried too hard. I was very disappointed, especially for the price. I will not be back. read more

First time here, and we really enjoyed our lunch specials. Our server was lots of help, and very friendly and efficient. Their lunch menu is pretty extensive, and there are lots of options for every dish. Additions and substitutions are available-various proteins, rice, vegetables, spice level, and so on. The lunch specials include soup and an appetizer. The decor is very nice for a small strip mall location. Plenty of parking. If we are in the neighborhood again, we will return. read more

I have always been a fan, but recently I feel that the food has not been good as of late. I ordered the Pad Thai with vegetables. Had very few veggies (it was a substitution for a protein) and they are pre cooked or over cooked as they were mushy and bland. They were obviously NOT freshly stir fried as I would expect. The noodle flavoring was off as well. Not sure how....but did not taste as it normally tastes. I thought that maybe it was just me, but had my husband try and he also said was not good. read more

Beef pad thai wasn't quite what I expected as the meat wasn't "velveted" or marinated in baking soda beforehand so it tasted very hard and chewy. That made me avoid eating it all together so I essentially had a veggie pad Thai consisting of noodles and bean sprouts along with some crushed peanuts. Hubby had pad kee ewe which he ordered as a spice lvl of 7. The beef was better but again not velveted. We both thought the portions of both of our dishes were not generous. We have eaten our fair share of Thai food including the real food in Thailand so we're well aware of what it should taste like and while the spice levels were perfect there's room for improvement. read more

Ordered Pad thai and Pad see Ewe. Received 2 pad thai. Asked for chopsticks. Received pack containing 1 stick only. Portions were adequate, but not overly generous, especially for a noodle dish. First dish, beef was tough and noodles mushy, as if it had been microwaved. Pad see ewe noodles were all broken, but spice level was excellent! (I had ordered true thai level plus a bit). read more

Extremely disappointed tonight. Waited over 40 minutes for food that never came. All we ordered was Pineapple fried rice and Cashew nut chicken, and egg rolls. The egg rolls came out right away. She bought out carry out orders. Other diners meals, ours no. We told her we needed our food as we were going to STL. She said it was coming, nothing. We frequently dine here. There were only three tables dining in, including us. After tonight, I don't know if we will be back. read more

The service here was really good. I visited in a large group so we pretty much took up the whole left side lol. They have a lunch menu which I would assume serves smaller portions. But it was the perfect size for me to enjoy and finish in one seating. The lunch soup was probably my favorite. I'd definitely go back for the soup! read more

I enjoy visiting Thip's! I don't get here often but when I do, it is worth it! They have an EXCELLENT selection of lunch entrees and your lunch comes with soup and either crab rangoon or spring roll. I love how Thai restaurants categorizes the heat levels by stars because scary people like me who are scared of spice aren't surprised! Clean restaurant, good service, great selection, I always enjoy going to Thip's in O'Fallon! read more

I had lunch today at Thip's with a friend of mine. I let him choose the spot and what a wonderful choice it was. Service was friendly, the food was phenomenal. I had the green papaya salad and the vegetarian basil stir fry. These were probably the best versions of those dishes I've ever tried. Wonderful flavor, great spice, I couldn't have asked for better. When I'm over that way I'll definitely go again. read more

I ordered General Tso's Chicken & it looked like pig slop!!! Super soggy & wet. Tasted spoiled & sour!!! My husband & I called up there to get the issue resolved twice. The manager refused to talk on the phone or provide any resolution at all. The female hostess that answered the phone was a total snob & a c××nt b××ch!!! She hung up the phone multiple times on us!!! He got loud, defensive & wanted to argue!!! Avoid this rude, unprofessional place!!! Nasty food & attitudes!! Wasted $60 on some food that looked like it was gotten out of the trash!!! Appetizer plate was hard, cold, stale & tasteless!!! I ordered level 2 for my husband's food. It's definitely a 3 or 4. Guess they are illiterate also!!!! read more

The staff was friendly and the ambiance was good except for the fact that there was no music, and it was eerily quiet in there. Not a large place as far as seating goes, but enough for everyone who did come to eat here.We got rangoons, chicken satay, panang curry, Thai tea, and pad see ew. The thai tea was not sweet at all, and I wish the rangoons had more cheese in it.The chicken satay was good though. The spice level for the dishes were 0-4 I believe. We asked for a 0 for my panang curry, but it was more like 1 or more.As a person who doesn't like or handle spicy food, you can tell it was spicy.I could handle it, but I preferred no spice at all. Also, I didn't like that the panang curry was sweet.I've had it many times in other restaurants and never had it sweet or that sweet. It had a very strong sweet taste. I was just visiting, so I don't live in the area, but if we are ever back in this area, we would look into other Thai options. read more

A local favorite with authentic Thai cuisine. We tend to eat here about every two weeks. Service is efficient and attentive. Atmosphere is about what you'd expect in this location, but cozy enough for a casual date or dinner. They are also great for take-out! We love the food and usually ask for heat level 2-3 (be careful if you are timid - 4 is HOT and 5 may send you to the ER - lol). The appetizers here are often enough to fill you up, so we tend to take home some leftovers, which is AWESOME SAUCE!! Find your way to this little gem in O'Fallon and try them out yourself! read more

Always good. Never a let down. Lunch specials available. I usually stick with the Thai Fried Rice of Chicken Panang. Both solid wins!

I love Thips! I am not much into spicy food, and that usually makes it hard to eat Thai. But Thips fixed that for me. They have a great choice of meals from very spicy to zero spice. And the flavor is always exquisite! You need to try this place! read more

Impressed is an understatement! We ordered the spring rolls, summer rolls, Tom Kha soup, & orange chicken with fried rice. Everything single thing was outstanding!! The summer rolls were fresh & delicious. The Tom Kha was SO flavorful & comforting- the best I've ever had. The orange chicken was perfectly seasoned & crunchy. We ordered takeout- the service was very quick & my order was correct. The woman at the front was so kind & welcoming! Needless to say, we will be back. :) read more

The food here is pretty good. I liked the lumpia the most, as they were very crispy. The tofu pad Thai was decent, though not as flavorful as I'd like. The pineapple fried rice was just ok. Paid about $37, which sounds high, but the to-go boxes were packed. My wife and I had enough for another full meal, which makes the price more reasonable. read more

Our favorite Thai restaurant! Love the waitresses and the thai fried rice and lumpia is so good!

I guess you just gotta find the dish that suits you. I like the basil fried rice, and I keep coming back for it. Yummmm!

Went there for lunch today. Haven't been there in a long time. It was great. I had Thai fried rice for lunch and my husband had the orange chicken. We had a broth soup first then the entrees. Delicious. We will be going back. Server was attentive and very pleasant. Restaurant was nice and tidy. Enjoyed it. read more

Was in town on business and wanted some Thai. It was a weeknight and when we came in around 8 pm there were only 2 other people there. Never a good sign to see an empty restaurant, but we stayed and I'm glad we did. Service was good, the food was good, huge portions. read more

Thai fried rice is delicious and they do it the Thai way. Great food with awesome staff highly recommend.

Very disappointed! First let me say that my team I and have our lunch here at least once a week. Today I decided to try something different on the menu. Pad Thai with chicken. When it arrived it looked very good however after taking one bite it was to sweet and I did not care for the taste. I asked the waitress if I could substitute with what I normally order. She stated that if I wanted something else i would have to purchase another meal. Then walked away and did not return. Mind you I only had one bite. I had to flag down another waitress to get another meal. When I received the bill they charged me for both meals. This is unacceptable and I was very disappointed. I have shared this with all my employees at Scott Air Force Base and we will not be return ever again!!!! WHERE IS YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE.!!!!!! I thought the customer is always right, maybe not at this restaurant. read more

Seriously though... the Metro east has a fine collection of good Thai restaurants! O'Fallon (IL) has at least three, including Thips Thai!! Located in a small strip right off highway 50, Thips is Informal, cheap and yummy!! They have a location in Belleville too. All of their curries rock! Pineapple curry with Shrimp is yum and so is the Pad Thai and yellow curry. You can never go wrong with Tom ka soup, but it is especially good here. This place is right off highway 64 and just a short drive from St. Louis. Check it out!! read more

I wouldn't even consider coming here on a lunch hour the service is horrible. I came here once before they closed for a while, and was not impressed. I thought I would give them another shot, I can't say anything about there food. I was told to seat myself, then waited 17 minutes and left. This is the most ridiculous thing to do during lunch time, when people like myself only have one hour to dine. I won't try you again, your reviews are worth the crap star ratings that you deserve, i was hoping to help you out! read more

I love Thai food! Thip's is okay. But with all the wonderful Thai joints in St. Louis, Thip's is hardly worth the time and travel. The menu contains all the standards. Portions have shrank over the years. Probably the result of the economy and inflation. Most of the specialty dishes (Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, etc), can be made with chicken, beef, or shrimp. Unfortunately, all of the plate seem to lack much of any! Even their Thai Beef Salad has gone downhill! The only thing at Thip's that I do still enjoy, is their Thai Ice Tea. Just not the same place it was four years ago. Really quite disappointing, because a number of years ago, Thip's was THE place to go in the metro-east for Thai food. Just not the case anymore. read more

Omg that was some of the best curry I've ever had. I WILL BE GOING BACK. ‍ The noodles were great also, hostess was pretty nice.

Usually pad thai is my go to for Thai food, but I was feeling curry, so I picked up a green curry for lunch. I am by no means a curry connoisseur, I've only had it a hand full of times, but I really loved it! The flavors were so great. It came with chicken and white rice, and also two crab rangoon. If you're a lighter eater like me, it was enough for two lunches which is always a plus! I will definitely be back to try more Thai dishes! read more

I ordered the Kang Karee with chicken from the lunch menu. The flavor was excellent, serving size was good, and the service was friendly (Marie). Quite the bummer for me, because I ordered it for the peanuts. read more

Food was good and staff was friendly. The staff warned us of the wait, which they were pretty accurate on.
