I don't usually do Chinese food. That came out wrong. I don't usually do Americanized Chinese food. It's always too greasy, too salty or too sweet. The sauce always covers up the less than fresh vegetables. My friend was craving for Chinese food and wanted to try this place that was recommended to her so I reluctantly came out to this place. Talk about being surprised. The food definitely has the typical Americanized Chinese food essence but has decent quality. Food is very tasty and the cooks are really nice. Horrible food! I ordered a dinner special fried rice with general tso chicken, egg roll, and large hot & sour soup. Fried rice look and tasted old. Too much breading on the chicken. Soup was bland and way too watery. I also saw Mr. McNasty in the kitchen texting on his phone, grabbed a broccoli to garnish the fried rice without washing his hands. I'm giving this place three stars, only because there sesame chicken is the best i have had in the metro east. I don't really have much exciting to say about this place. The wonton soup was not something i would order again. The lo mein was not very good either, it lacked a lot of flavor. From our friend the general tso's wasn't much to rave about either. Maybe the WORST egg foo yung EVER. The "gravy" was think and full of lumps...like clotted cornstarch or flour and NO FLAVOR. The fried rice was so old and either over cooked or recooked even my dogs turned their noses up at it. Fantastic! We ordered and 10 minutes later we showed up and it was ready to pick up. The pork egg rolls were perfectly made and we wanted more when our three were gone. Saw a bunch of good reviews on the web, so went there. First clue that something was up was an empty parking lot at 5 pm on a Saturday. Second was the empty restaurant. Restaurant has a huge menu, but the family and I started conservatively with General T'so chicken, Mongolian Beef, and Sweet and Sour Chicken, along with Crab Rangoon. The General T'So's was more sweet than hot and wife didn't care for the Mongolian Beef. The kids were fine with the Sweet and Sour Chicken. However, none of us were that fond of the Crab Rangoon. the portions are pretty big and enough to split, and i went during lunch!! I had the sesame chicken and wonton soup, not much to rave about. this place is not too big inside and only has 1 highchair so if you got kiddo's (plural) that need a high chair bring a lap!! no boosters seats either, and at that the chairs wouldn't be good for it anyway. there is about 8 tables inside and the counter the service was pretty friendly, he wasn't rude, just took our order and got our food and went about his business. read more

Our favorite place in the area. I love the wonton soup (yeah, it can be made wrong!) and their spring rolls. My husband loves the curry chicken. They don't charge to add veggies or sub something from your order. That's awesome. Their customer service isn't outstanding or anything but they are friendly and remember their customers. We have ordered take out several times and make special requests such as extra meat or veggies and agree to extra charges. It's never right. We ordered a large shrimp and broccoli entree a few weeks ago and were charged $9.55 as the menu states. Our entree had 7 shrimp and about 3 cups of cooked broccoli. The proportion seemed off. Tonight we asked the person who took the order to add plenty of extra shrimp even if we had to pay extra. He said it comes with 10 shrimp, we said to double it and offered to pay. So already, we got less shrimp than the standard 10 in our previous order (got 7 shrimp). We also ordered 2 other entrees tonight and asked to substitute fried rice for only one. We picked the food up and paid, trusting everything was correct. We were given 3 fried rice, not 1 and charged for all. We wanted 2 white rice (standard) and only 1 fried rice. We opened the shrimp and broccoli and were charged $3 extra for double the shrimp (should have been 20 shrimp). We had only 12 shrimp and a ton of broccoli. So we paid $12.55 for 12 shrimp and 2.5 cups of broccoli. We called Twin Dragons and spoke with the manager, Thomas, he laughed and scoffed at my comments that we did not get what was ordered. Thomas then asked What do I want? So we said we would like a replacement Shrimp and Broccoli entree tomorrow with the right amount of shrimp. Thomas then said he would give us a $2 or $3 refund. We said again, since he asked, that we'd like the replacement entree. Thomas laughed and said he'd give a $3 refund. We found that very odd and off putting, especially since he asked what we wanted. Twin Dragons rips people off. We do not recommend spending your money on fast food Chinese at this place. They over charge as it is, then rip you off and laugh at you. My brother always orders from here for his family, as a picky eater, he always seemed pretty satisfied with the food. He ordered broccoli and mongorian beef, sweet&sour/orange/sesame chicken and sesame chick.. All with crab rangoons. Everyone enjoyed the food and fought over the last crab rangoon. I'm not a huge fan of Americanized Chinese food, but the vegetables and beef were pretty good and the sesame chicken was surprisingly good. I read someone didn't like Mongolian beef here, well a lot of people don't like Mongolian beef anywhere because it is usually all onions, which this wasn't .. so they should just go eat an onion instead. Eggdrop soup was.. eggdrop soup so that was good. I ate the hunan chicken w black bean sauce last time, it was pretty good too. Anything less than a 4-5 star has to be a lie, or you just don't know "American Chinese" food. This is, hands down, the best Chinese on the IL side, and some of the best in the entire St Louis/metro region. I'm a big fan of General's, Sesame, and Orange Chicken, and each come out phenomenally well here.
