We arrived in parked in large lot, so plenty of space. Upon entering we were nicely greeted by all of the staff. Our party order house hot sake and hot water that came in nice mug. I ordered the tonkatsu with fried rice ($20) and a Geisha Roll, both of which were delicious and I'd get again. I thought i was making a smart decision getting the plate than the Benton box, but the bill only reflected a savings of $3. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and plan to be reoccurring patrons. read more

Sushi in the Midwest always scares me a little. But never at this place. The fresh sushi, the options for rolls, and the service are always spot on. And they remember you, which is even more amazing (or maybe it's how often I go) which says something in itself. Fav's include the OMG roll (yep, every...single..time it's OMG) white tiger, spider, and spicy tuna, but basically--everything's very good. Nothing overly creative like in LA or NY, but for us here in O'Fallon, we love it and thank you, Sake! And for those that like the basics, I've heard the teriyaki chicken is good too. But why are we doing that? Go get SUSHI and enjoy it because they do a damn good job Limited bar options for sake, but that's OK. Just enjoy the sushi. read more

Ate here for the first time and enjoyed the meal. Plentiful parking and didn't have to wait to be seated (with a reservation). Service was good and staff were friendly. The restaurant itself was a typical sushi restaurant, nothing too extravagant. Nice and clean, and plenty of seating. The miso soup and ginger salad were solid and the sushi was good! The sauces were flavorful and they had a variety of specialty rolls. This isn't super high quality sushi but very good for the midwest!! read more

Another fantastic meal! We're slowly easing back into indoor dining, and we knew Sake Sushi was the right spot for us! The restaurant is immaculately clean, and all of the staff continue to mask. My husband loves the teriyaki salmon, and once again, it did not disappoint. I very much enjoyed the Mango Tango roll and Geisha Roll as well as a tuna nigiri - the tuna was the perfect temperature and very flavorful. We sat at the bar, and it was fun to watch the sushi chefs prepare our order. The children's meals are perfectly portioned. Our son's favorite is the Katsu. The staff here is incredibly friendly and attentive. Always checking in to make sure you're happy with your meal and refilling drinks. Sake Sushi continues to be our favorite spot in O'Fallon!! read more

One of our favorite places for date nights. They give you free soup and salad when you order here. The fried rice is really good and filling. They give a military discount with an ID. Sake never disappoints. read more

Goyza and rainbow roll were fresh and delicious. The spicy crab roll was an interesting variation/mashup of sushi and buffalo wings.

If you don't like raw fish, this is the sushi place for you. The majority of their rolls are cooked. I ordered a raw roll and some nigiri. The White Tiger roll was quite good, although the unagi sauce was way too sweet. The meal came with miso soup, which was very watery, and a small salad that was pretty good, if a bit too sweet. The service was good, despite it being very busy. I will add that I had bad gastrointestinal issues the next day. Might be unrelated, but I don't think I'll be back. read more

This is an amazing sushi restaurant, with great service. This restaurant has a very large variety of sushi rolls, it was hard to make a choice. I was very pleased with my sushi choice. We have been eating here for years. We love the bento dinners. Once in awhile we will order from the sushi bar. Our favorite is the kimono sushi and the spicy tuna. Whatever you order will be very delicious and the serving is just perfect. The waiters & waitresses are very pleasant and friendly. If you visit on a Saturday, they may be busy, but it's just a little wait and it will be worth it. You will feel like you're a part of their family. This establishment is very clean and the food is affordable. read more

Food is amazing and great service I've been going for the last 15 years never once had a complaint!

This place is so overrated The food quality is poor. The rice and fish are not fresh. The pieces are small and falling over. The taste is not better than Chinese buffet or grocery store sushi. Very disappointing One of the worse sushi places I have been to read more

The Staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the food is Great. In my opinion the Osaki roll is one of the best rolls I've had anywhere

This was not the first time they messed up my takeout orders, but I always came back. Today I ordered a Sashimi A (18 pieces), a White Tiger Roll, an Albacore Roll, and a Dragon Roll; always tipped 18% even on takeout. Came home to find out they did not give me wasabi! Now this might not seem like a big deal for some, but for me it's more forgivable if they were to forget a roll. I just can't eat sushi & sashimi with plain soy sauce brother. What kind of sushi chef serve guests without wasabi? It's so elementary that it is unforgivable. I ended up throwing away half the orders; can't even save them for another day, and I am not making a 30 mins round-trip to pick up wasabi. Everyone, open up your bags and check the order, every time. Don't trust that they know what they are doing. I won't return. read more

Sake Sushi is such a gem! The service is unbeatable and we tend to have the same incredibly happy and fun lady serve us each time we go. She makes the experience even more pleasant! The sushi here is so, so good! It's really phenomenal and makes me question why I haven't been going here for years. My favorites are the Crunch roll and the Osaki roll for sure! I have also had the volcano roll, which is also yummy as well as the Red Dragon roll. You truly can't go wrong! Great service, amazing sushi at great prices, and a nice atmosphere! read more

As a sushi addict, and a consultant whose work is done 100% on the road, I've had sushi all over the country. I can only recall two other times where I was inclined to immediately write a Yelp review. I had the spicy bacon crab roll, and a ninja roll based upon reading previous Yelp reviews. Both were absolutely amazing and were presented well even though I got my order to go. Service was friendly and prompt. This is the second time I've been to this place and I think I'm going to have to admit that they have pretty decent sushi. After moving here I kind of gave up on trying to find fresh and authentic sushi because of all my other experiences elsewhere. I appreciated that the quality of the fish was good (regardless of the embellished sushi rolls). The rice had a nice balance of vinegar and it had a firm bite. My friends and I tried many different dishes - I left pretty happy and surprised yet again. read more

Our favorite Sushi restaurant! Great service with very fresh Sushi! Highly recommend for date night or with the family.

This was my first sushi experience in the Metro St. Louis area. The service was excellent. ALL of the staff greated us with smiling faces. You can tell they were happy to be there. The staff exhibited great team work. My husband drinks a lot of water and his glass never went empty. The appetizers and entrees came out in perfect timing. The presentation of every dish was intentional and professional. The taste of each dish was better than expected. The price point for value makes this place a deal. No need to try anywhere else in the area for sushi! Will definitely be back again!!! read more

No complaints. It is a good , solid little place and the first meal we had while out here on a house hunting trip. We will more than likely come back at some point over the course of the next few years. I got a bento box dinner- a variety of decent things, sushi was "okay" about the quality of a buffet (not meant as a knock). My wife got a shrimp yakisoba dish. She was pleased but not wowed. I would imagine Sake Sushi gets such rave reviews from some people for whom this cuisine is "exotic" and new. Having traveled quite a bit, and lived on the east coast there is a high bar for Asian cuisine and especially for seafood. (my score is 2.5 really) They have the kitsch of the sushi "boat" down though. It was neat to look at from a distance. read more

Definitely the best place for sushi in the area. The dragon roll was delicious as was the Ninja roll. One roll is enough for one person. The albacore roll is pretty spicy. I had to take the small jalapeños off the top. Otherwise, everything tasted fresh and flavorful! From time to time, I get food cravings that will simply not go away until I satisfy them. Lately, it's been sushi. I just cannot get enough. As soon as I got home from work, I told my husband we had to get sushi for dinner...so we decided on Sake. As we walked in, he pointed out the sign for 10% off with an active duty military ID. This always makes me happy. We were seated immediately (it was virtually vacant inside) and given our menus. I figured I was going to get my two usual rolls, but noticed something I had never seen in a sushi restaurant before: shiitake. Intrigued, Matthew and I each ordered one and got an additional veggie roll. I suppose no matter how cheap your roll is, you get complimentary soup and salad. Definitely a plus -- their salad is delicious. As our server brought us our rolls, I saw how enormous the veggie roll was. Seriously, one piece of this roll almost takes two bites and there were 6 pieces. One of my favorite aspects of a sushi roll is when it's given to me with warm rice. I enjoy the contrast between the coldness of the vegetables and the warmth of the rice. Temperature aside, these rolls were both scrumptious! I was quite impressed. To top everything off -- the check. Three rolls and my husband's Dr. Pepper totaled to $15 with the discount. Amazing. This takes the cake (roll?) as my new favorite sushi place on this side of the Mississippi. read more

Was in the area for an oil change and decided to give Sake Sushi a go. The best part of the meal were the tempura vegetables, which were crisped to perfection. On the other hand, I wasn't impressed with the Rainbow Roll. The rice was a bit dry, and there was a weird sweet flavor to each bite. Not terrible, but there are decidedly better options within a 10-mile radius. And maybe it's ridiculous of me to mention this, but suggested tips should reflect the pre-tax total, not post (as is the case here). read more
