Was excited to try this new Mongolian style place. Came here with my family of 3. They weren't horrible but idk really as far as a place I'd crave to go back often. I had their veggie stir fry with hibachi sauce. It seemed heavy on the sauce and veggies. Not a balance of veggies vs rice. There's option of course and I went with the pick option B. Option A is going to the hibachi station and picking out your protein, rice, and vegetables etc They offer sushi rolls, appetizers, and ramen amongst other options. Husband had ramen which he enjoyed and sushi. The kids each had a sushi roll, one volcano and the other a fantastic. They liked theirs. They thought it would have more than 6. With some pot stickers on the side. We shared some crab Rangoon. Those were rather on the small side. Not bad though. They did have a little bit of a wait. Our serve did her best. We were blown away with the amazing, sorry yummy food at Yummy Bowl. We both ordered bowls and piled them high with fresh delicious ingredients like steak, chicken, pineapple, baby corn, etc. Then we added some signature sauces. Out came a meal for a king and queen! I was a fan of Stir Crazy, a Mongolian restaurant in St. Louis. After the pandemic, it closed and I was heartbroken...it was my favorite restaurant. We found Yummy Bowls and I must say it is about as good as Stir Crazy. They have a bigger selection of veggies, meats, noodles, and sauce. The staff is very good, too. I miss the ambiance of Stir Crazy, but I can live with that, because the food is so good at Yummy Bowls...plus it's closer. Good on you, Yummy Bowls! What a unique, fun, delicious place! I've never been to a restaurant like this and boy was I confused. I didn't feel too bad because hubby was as confused as I was! Let me help you out so your first visit isn't as confusing as mine was. They will give you two cards and a red bowl. The small one you put your name and table number on. The second is the menu. If you chose A, that means you take your red bowl and go fill it up however you want. All the food is in the middle of the room surrounding the cook grill. When your done, give it to the chef and he'll cook it for you. If you chose B, then tell your server what you want and she will take away your red bowl. When your food is cooked someone will bring it to you in a different red bowl. The food is super fresh and tasted amazing! You can pick what sauce you want on it. I picked teriyaki and hubby picked Mongolian. He said his was great too! The restaurant has been totally transformed from what it was when O'Town was there. I love the Panda pictures! I've got twice now (first time I went and saw I thought it was a singular incident..it was not) people mix the tongs for beef and seafood. They add too much oil. All around if you're going for "bang for your buck" yes this is the place but it appears their concern for food safety isn't there and their sushi is overpriced for the amount of rice you're paying for a roll. :((( read more

The restaurant was busy, as expected on a Friday night and we were seated right away. The downside, we were seated right next to the bowl line where people stand to make their bowls. We asked to be moved and were told there wasn't another place available. My husband ordered the bowl and I ordered sushi. The bowl was good but nothing to rave about. My sushi was mid. Also, by the time my sushi came out my husband was already done eating his bowl. So we basically watched each other eat our meals separately lol I also ordered miso soup, that was luke warm. Our waitress was very nice and friendly but the experience felt rushed and waitstaff were constantly rushing around. Felt overstimulated.
