I've never felt the wait was too hellaciously long, but even if it was I'd actually like knowing that my food takes a little while because the owner is taking his time preparing it for me. One word.. AMAZING! Do not judge this place by the outside. Driving up you may not see any cars in the parking lot and the signage outside says it's a jewelry store lol but bare with it. Once you enter, you will choose your seating and wait for the waiter. Seems like this place is owned by a lovely couple. And they do an amazing job of delivering spot on sushi each and every time. We had the volcano, Poisoned Spider, Dynamite and Lobster rolls along with the Spicy Seafood Salad App. We were not crazy about the Volcano roll. It was okay but the Dynamite, Poisoned Spider and Lobster rolls were excellent. The service was excellent and the restaurant is clean. Green tea and cold saki also excellent. Driving up to this place, we were very skeptical, but that changed as soon as we got inside. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the decor is really authentic. I just moved here from California and I was bummed to think that I would not be able to get my sushi fixes anymore. I can honestly say that once our food arrived, my worries dissappeared. Everything we ordered was extremely fresh and tasted delicious. They have a great variety of rolls you can try and also a nice selection of sashimi (my favorite). I like that they use cards to take your order and you just select how many of each roll you want. I like to order a lot and it doesn't feel as awkward when I just write the numbers of the ticket and hand it to the server. Overall, I give this place a 5/5. Second time having it but first time sitting in! The food is delicious and honestly tasted just as good when we picked it up our first time. We went around 6 and it must've been a bad time because we had to wait an hour for our food when there weren't many people there. Came in for a quick lunch break during the middle of the week. It wasn't very busy and service was fast and pleasant. It seemed like the owners had some regulars who greeted them excitedly when they saw them. Overall the lunch was great. My husband (who is Japanese) and I went here for the first time for a co-worker's birthday. I had seen it but had never been. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's so worth the visit. The table split appetizers of gyoza (like pot stickers) the reminded me of our trip to Japan. The miso soup was very flavorful. I had the teriyaki Beef plate, and everything was delicious. We ordered three veggie rolls, salad, miso soup (my son opted for a refill on his soup, it was that good), a bento box, beef soba noodles, shrimp udon noodles, and a caterpillar roll. We all shared each other's plates and all agreed that the food was fantastic. At the end of the meal, we discussed coming back again because there were so many other dishes we would like to try. It has been a long time since the whole family was that excited over a dinner out. The price was reasonable. I did not feel that it was overly expensive for a family of four. This is 100% one of those places that you never judge a book by its cover. The restaurant is so nice and quiet. Slightly hidden and would absolutely miss it if you didn't look up local sushi joints. It's a ma and pop restaurant through and through. Our waitress(who I assume is one of the owners) is so lovely and sweet, she has such a welcoming personality. Very attentive as well. The man(who I assume is her husband) who made our sushi, is fantastic. Very quick to get our food and was very satisfied at the end of my meal. Will absolutely be going back there. read more
