Dumplings

It wasn't horrible. Son and I went on a Sunday for early dinner. We were able to avoid the after church crowd. Kinda confusing once you enter. Would have been nice if the hostess had explained how the restaurant operates. I wasn't really too hungry so I got potstickers-dumplings appetizer. I wanted an alcoholic beverage since they have a bar. Bar wasn't open? Server didn't give an explanation as to why. Son ordered a bowl with all the protein choices. Server suggested he not order the larger size. My son said it was "alright". He didn't eat the whole thing.

Very clean! Very clean! Very very clean!!!! I watched them wipe down the chairs, benches and deep clean at the end of the night. Very impressive! The service was fast and friendly. The food was fresh and plentiful. I do wish I had picked a different sauce with a little more flavor but the next day the leftovers were great!

Tried out Tasty Bowls recently and here's the breakdown: The Good: Service was fantastic! Our server was super friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The ordering process was smooth, and it's pretty cool that each dish is cooked individually in their robot machines definitely a unique experience. The Not-So-Great: The wait was a bit longer than expected because of the one-by-one cooking style. Unfortunately, the sauces were underwhelming lacking salt and depth of flavor. The style is very Americanized Mongolian, and the meat comes pre-cooked, so it doesn't really soak in the sauces or pick up much flavor during the cooking process. I might come back to give the sushi a try, but I wouldn't order a bowl again. Final Thought: If you're into Americanized Asian cuisine, this might hit the spot for you. But if you're looking for bold, authentic flavors, this might not be the place.

It's Sushi Sunday, so we decided to give Tasty Bowl a try. The restaurant is quite spacious and well decorated. The wait time for a table with it being crowded was not too long. Upon looking at the menu, we were excited to see Tasty Bowl offers Coke products. When we ordered our drinks, we were told no Coke, just Pepsi. All good! The menu has a lot of options! From sushi to ramen bowls and more, we knew we found a good place to eat. They even offer a kid's menu for those picky eaters who just want chicken tenders. As I said it was Sunday and we eat sushi on that day. We ordered crab Rangoon as an appetizer. It was light on the batter and delicious. I might say these were the best ever I'm serious they are that good. I've never had crab Rangoon that taste this delicious before. We ordered a spicy tuna roll, sweet potato roll, shrimp, avocado, mango roll, and the Las Vegas roll. I enjoyed all the rolls and thought they were made as described. Our server was so attentive and friendly! He came back multiple times to check on us a refill our Diet Pepsi. I do hope they get the flashing canister light fixed. It was distracting. We saw some of the tasty bowls being served to other tables and they looked amazing! We will order a tasty bowls being served next time!

Friendly staff, great selection of food, prices are super appropriate. Parking is easy & the inside well decorated. Would definitely come back!

Very popular place. You're given a bowl to fill with veggies and meat. You choose your sauces and add seasonings. Then take it to the "chef" where it's cooked. The cooking process is interesting. It's put inside a circular "oven". Check it out.

Place just opened a couple months ago and I've been meaning to try it ever since. Took my adult son there for lunch today, and we both absolutely loved it. Great experience from start to finish. Big, bright, open, clean space. Really friendly greeters and server. Owner/manager (not sure which) stop by the table to check on us. And of course, the food was reeeeeealy good. And healthy and fresh, which are both big deals to me. So, it's a build your own bowl kind of place. You get a bowl for $14 (lunch price) and then go through the line and put whatever you want in it, and they stirfry it up and bring it to your table. For four dollars more you can get a bottomless bowl that you can fill as many times as you want, but I'm a big eater, and I didn't even finish my first bowl, so I struggle to imagine ever doing that. The bar was filled with lots of fresh veggies, lots of different meat options, and lots of sauce options. I sampled three or four different sauces, and liked them all. I eventually went with a combination of Kung pow and sweet chili. I threw some jalapeños slices in the bowl as well, so it had a little Kick. I absolutely loved it! We didn't get any sushi, but I can't wait to come back and try their rolls. They certainly looked good when they went by the table to other tables, and the price was right. I also can't wait to try the curry sauce on the line. So, overall, I definitely give this place five stars, and I absolutely plan to be back, next time with my wife, who I know will love this place. I for sure recommend you check it out.

Shoyu Seafood Ramen

The ramen tasted like if you were to make ramen, decide you didn't want it, and then put the bowl in the sink, where it was then fated to fill up with dirty dish water and old food. Crab Rangoon was average (after the waitress told us it was the "best in the area") Go try Midtown Ramen in STL (worth the extra drive!!!!)

The staff is friendly and quick, and the place stays clean every time I go. I like that you're able to customize your food differently every time! Whether you're grabbing takeout or eating in. Highly recommend if you want good food without the wait.

There was a 5 minute wait upon arrival. The place was crowded. It was clean and well kept. It was plain but nicely decorated. There was plenty of staff to support the guest. You get a bowl from the server. You get a tray. Then pick your noodles, veggies, protein, sauce, and seasoning. Then you take it to another counter where an employee put it in an AI robot to cook your food. You go back to the table and wait for the staff to bring you food. It was delicious. I got some chicken stir fry. You can order appetizer, sushi, Ramen or Stir Fry. There was plenty of parking. I understand they have a robot to bring your food to the table. But I guess it isn't working. I had an amazing meal. I enjoyed everything.

Food was good with a variety. The stir fry bowls had the options of multiple sauces and seasonings for your liking. Ramen was okay. Service was nice, just a little slower. Ambiance was clean and welcoming to families.

We visited here for the first time after seeing the parking lot packed 24/7. We were greeted immediately upon entry by a friendly staff member and promptly taken to our table. Service was quick and professional. Our sushi was excellent. The bowl process was pretty easy, we loaded up our bowls with everything we wanted. It came out hot and was DELICIOUS. Will definitely be back to try the ramen and other sushi options.

This restaurant was well staffed, and the atmosphere was clean, inviting, and interesting. Even though the restaurant was busy, we had a very short wait to get in. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was tasty. However, in my experience, I find this type of food more delicious when the food is cooked by hand from uncooked meat and vegetables (vs. pre-cooked meat). With that said, I still find this a good place to eat and somewhat unique for this area.

Love the new cocktail bar they added. It take away some seating however people can eat at bar too. We ordered cocktails while waiting for our table which took only a few minutes. My husband tried their version of an old-fashioned which used both bourbon and rum!!! It was good but he said definitely a "sipper". They have a full bar and much better wine selection now too. Starters for us were a bowl of wonton soup and the spring rolls. Both were good but rolls a little rubbery to me. The highlight of our meals was charbroiled pork. We are not capable of ordering anything else. Ha. I get 15.04 and he got 15.03 which includes an egg roll. Divine food!! The people who own this place are so friendly. Our waiter was also very nice. Try the Pho Dac Biet along with a mix of hoisin sauce, chili garlic and the chili crisp - this combo was a good replacement for my usual hoisin sauce/sa té combo at pho restaurants. The pork eggrolls had an unusual surprise - fresh sliced mushrooms (in case you were wondering why the crust was darker in hue). We chatted briefly with Jeff, the owner, and learned a ton about the restaurant's history and re-launch. It's a good sized venue, with great lighting and seating plus excellent service. I would dine here again!

This is the BEST restaurant that I've been to in STL so far!!…read more First, the service was absolutely wonderful. Our server was super nice and knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive to our table. The food was purely amazing: - The Sake Sashimi was absolute chef's kiss (rate: 10/10). The fresh sashimi in the ginger mint sauce left us speechless, the salsa gave a fresh and fruity burst of flavor, and even the fried chips on top had a ton of flavor! - The Isaan Hamachi (rate: 9.5/10) was also a must! I first tried the candied garlic on top, and it was truly sweet with only a hint of garlic. The yellowtail was also super fresh, and the coconut sauce brought out even more flavor from the yellowtail (and masked any fishy taste)! - The Massachusetts Scallops (rate: 9.5/10) was one of the best scallops I've ever had. Topped with crab and combined with the pea puree, everything complemented each other so well. There were only two scallops, but they were large and super filling. - The Shrimp Toasts had layers and layers of flavor (rate: 9/10)! The shrimp was inside of the toast, creating a super umami flavor, and then the light and fruity topping and sauce, along with the thin slice of cucumber, truly made this a party in my mouth. - The Chili Garlic Noodles were super nutty and so good (rate: 8/10)! The noodles were slightly spicier than expected, but the spice was a quick burst of flavor, so the spice didn't overpower the dish at all. The noodles were mixed with vegetables and topped with a crunch - definitely make sure to mix before eating to get the different textures and flavors in each bite! We also got cocktails (Pretty in Pink & Sands in the Sun), and both were really yummy. Last, we got a dessert - homemade ice cream by the Sous Chef that day: soy ice cream with red bean! Flavors were all subtle but together they created such a unique and beautiful end to the meal. Came here for my birthday, and I will certainly be returning!

I took my boyfriend for his birthday, and we had a blast splitting a variety of small plates and having a few drinks. The sauces in their dishes are so delicious. Scrumptious even. We had great service, and the dishes were well-paced. We sat on the back patio, which was nice, but next time will make a reservation for the dining room since the calm, intimate vibes in there are great.
