Pad See Ew ()

Great pad see ew! It was packed with noodles and broccoli and other veggies. I wish it had more chicken, but overall the flavor was great and portion was decently large. Very solid lunch option. Would definitely order again!

Red Pumpkin Curry with coconut rice

Red Pumpkin Curry with coconut rice - coconut was fragrant and fluffy with a subtle coconut flavor. The red pumpkin curry had bell peppers, carrots, pumpkin, and basil. I opted for tofu for my protein. The curry was creamy and had a nice kick to it. I wish there was more pumpkin (only two pieces of pumpkin) since it was a pumpkin curry.

was not a fan of the fried rice or the thai tea lol. the fried rice was pretty bland and the tofu lacked flavor (also there were like 5 pieces of tofu). and the thai tea was too sweet.

Isaan papaya salad with salted eggs

I ordered through Uber Eats, So this is going to be short and right to the point. The deal of curry lovers combo for $16.25 I though was pretty decent. You get two half portion of two different curries + rice and protein of your choice (some at extra cost). I've also ordered Isaan papaya salad with salted egg which I though was pretty decent as well, even though Isaan food are supposedly to be spicy and pungent. This was not and the color was too light to be called Isaan Tam Mak Hong. Overall the packing and the value were pretty good, So it was a good deal for me using my 50% Uber promo on this restaurant.

Curry lovers combo set

I found this spot on Uber Eats, and it was surprisingly pretty good! I ordered the basil chili with beef and the curry lover's combo (green curry + yellow curry). Everything was pretty tasty and flavorful, although the beef was just a little bit dry. I can also tell that this place is able to keep prices low by not fully filling up the containers and by using cheaper veggies in the curries (tons of onions in the yellow curry). But this was a good deal, so can't complain about it!

It's mid. Got the pad kee mow and it was a bit soggy and not very spicy, flavorful, or authentic compared to the ones I had in Bangkok. There are better spots in the city for Thai. Good variety for vegetarians and vegans though

"Wok Wok-Fried Broccoli Protein"

Ordered Uber eats. Some of the worst Thai food I've ever had in my life. Dry, flavorless, meat all fatty. Also checked "add utensils" to all 3 entrees and received no utensils.

Pad Kee Mow (Drunken Noodles)

The food came super fast within 30 min! The taste was on point and the noodles were the right consistency! The portion size was average. The veggies had a crunch to them. Overall one of the better casual Thai places in San Francisco! Pros: great food, great noodles , fast delivery Cons: can't think of much

A new hidden gem in SF, Basil Cart will leave you on a flavour journey to be remembered! I ordered from Grubhub, and this restaurant was a new option and I'm happy to support new businesses! Other reviews are pretty accurate, as I had a great experience ordering here. They currently have specials on Grubhub which enticed me to try them out but for the quality and flavour it's well worth it regularly. The delivery was timely and the owner included a hand written note, which was a nice touch and shows how much effort they put into their business! I tried the Pad Thai, Green Curry and Yellow Curry. The Pad Thai was very flavourful all around for some authentic flavour. It came with some peanuts and lime for garnish and was very fresh! Had some green onion and beansprouts as well, which I would have liked more of but not a big deal. The dish was also lined with a leaf (not sure what it's called) but also adds to the authenticity. The Yellow Curry had a lot of unique flavourness and rich body. Chunks of carrots and potatoes permeate the dish for some added richness as well which balances out the curry nicely. The Green curry is probably my favourite, as it also had a very rich body and taste as well. The bamboo shoots give a nice crispness to balance out the thick curry, but the flavour is the amazing point. A slight sweetness provides an upside to every bite, and combined with the slight spiciness and texture of the eggplant gives an awesome curry that's not too heavy and should go well with just about anything! The rice was perfect to my preference as well, as it was not soggy so that it goes well with curry. Very fragrant and fresh! All the portions sizes were great, so if you're looking for a nice flavourful and filling meal to satisfy your Thai cravings this is the place!

Not bad; very flavorful! A bit pricey for takeout (food was not to share and quite meager) but that is understandable given the current climate. I loved the hand written note and the subtle spiciness of the basil chicken! Wish there was a little less sauce and less dry chicken. Overall, definitely hit the spot!

Penang Curry take out

I enjoyed my meal when I was in San Francisco and I ordered it to be delivered to my hotel . I decided to walk to the place and eat there and ended it in the Mission area plagued with drug addicts on opioids who surrounded me . I found the place with Google map but found out that you cannot seat down and eat but do take out only . I was disappointed. I will never forget how the drug addicts were in the neighborhood. I had never been close to people like that . The restaurant is good for take out only . The prices are much higher than in Florida . The coconut rice was over $4 , the entrees over $12 for lunch . The quality was good though .

Avocado Fresh Summer Rolls
Savannah P.

I was having a really bad day last week, so out of the kindness of her heart one of my best friends doordashed me some Avocado Fresh Summer Rolls and Khao Soi from Basil Cart. I think the summer rolls were the best I've ever had. They were incredibly plump, and the peanut sauce that accompanied them was also very thick (in a good way). The Kao Soi was delicious, but then again I don't think I've ever had bad Kao Soi. It's easily my favorite thai dish. Basil Cart was the pick me up I needed to get through a long, tough, rainy day. I would definitely order it for delivery again!

Comes packaged separately. No mess.

Decent, however, not great. Considering the prices they were very stingy with portion size. Disappointed it didn't have more oomph.

Second time is a charm and this continues to be one of the best Thai meals and restaurants I have…read morebeen to in the city. Is Khao Tiew worth the wait and the hype? Absolutely. To get the best optimal experience at Khao Tiew, please remember to put your name on the waitlist and to get there on time when your party is close in queue (if you're not there, you're square, no expectations since they have tons of people waiting). I came here on a Monday night with my friend and I put my name down on the waitlist around 5 pm on the yelp app (heads up you have to be one mile away to be applicable to put your name down). Since I have been here before I know the deal and expected the wait. We were seated around 6:40 pm but it was so worth it in our opinions. The shop itself has a good amount of tables with a nice retro Thai feel from its decor. The servers are very nice and friendly but also the food comes out super quick which is what I personally appreciate as well. Here are some highlights from our absolute feast that we demolished (no food was left behind or forgotten). * Nuer nam tok: The medium rare beef was chewy, had the right amount of spice, and paired well with the crunch of the herbs. The saltiness of the meat ate well with the fresh sides of lettuce and cucumbers. * Crispy shrooms with ground pork: The crispy mushrooms were my favorite last time and the version with ground pork was exceptional. The mushrooms had a nice light batter and the sauce coated your mouth with an umami punch. * Drunken noodles: I love the amount of shrimp and calamari they gave! The noodles itself were coated in a semi sweet sauce that had a delicious soy flavor. * Duck curry: WOW the most tender duck dish I ever had, no notes! * Kaya jam with coconut ice cream: Creamy, fluffy, and a great way to end a meal. This dish is so hard to explain in words, you have to get it. Overall, amazing spot, amazing find, would wait 2 hours again for a third time :)

Hed Tod: Fried oyster mushroom. Nicely fried and not oily. Good portion. Khao Pad Mun Nuer with soy cured egg yolk: beef short rib tallow fried rice with boneless beef short rib. The beef was chewey and not as tender as should've been. Cooked well though to medium rare. Kai Toon Lava, Seafood and ground pork steamed egg hot pot. This was a light broth but not much broth. There is a lot of egg that soaks up the broth. A lot of calamari and good amount of shrimp. Gaeng Kamin Ped, duck breast tumeric curry. This was really good. Curry was creamy and thick. The duck was cooked well. Pad Maa - kaeue- stir fried Chinese eggplant. The sauce with this was really good and went well with the tender eggplants. Decent sized restaurant inside with a lot of tables. The service was friendly and nice. Street parking

Both are rum-based and had a really nice kick, especially the Soi Ari with the pandan in the aftertaste (which we found super refreshing). Food we ordered were the Nam Tok Beans, the Pad Khee Mao, and the rabbit curry. Both of us love spice so the Nam Tok Beans blew us away! Did not expect that kind of packed flavor at all but it makes a seemingly ordinary bean dish so much more exciting. The noodles were cooked perfectly and made a great in between to the rabbit curry. Which speaking of, oh my god??? SUPER tender and fall off-the-bone. Rabbit can be a hard dish to put on for people who have never tried it, but I really appreciate that it's not as bone-y as other rabbit dishes I've had in the past. It really was like chicken but softer. Wow wow wow. Huge shoutout to our bartender for giving us extra birthday shots on the house. Never had Amaro before tonight but it was delicious. Did not get his name unfortunately but he's fantastic! The reason I give 4 stars despite the great experience was because I noticed less urgency from the host and the servers in terms of getting stuff out. Doesn't help that the place is smaller and more expensive for a Michelin star establishment. Sitting by the bar made a huge difference for us since we had a great experience with our bartender, but I have a feeling that those at regular tables that night might've lost patience with the wait times for certain dishes. TLDR: if you love spicy Thai food, have the money to spend, and aren't in a rush, this place is worth checking out.

The restaurant closes at 9:30pm, and they were kind enough to let us stay until then! I also enjoyed the ambiance - the interior was quite beautiful, and had many floral decorations, which I enjoyed. For food, I got the hot stone pot, which comes with minced pork and prawns. The dish was not only delicious but also was a large portion size. The rice was crispy on the bottom, and it was nice that the server mixed the dish for me on the table. I would definitely come back to try other dishes! One of my friends got the Pad Kee Mow, and she also very much enjoyed her dish, agreeing that it was delicious and that the noodles were perfectly chewy! I got the French 75 as a drink, and it was very good as well! Overall, I would definitely come back, especially to try the brunch, which I've heard many good things about! Truly a 10/10 experience!

It would have been nice to have had a few more vegetables thrown in, especially the broccoli as I counted just a couple of pieces. I did like the tofu although I felt there could have been more and a bit more tender. They could totally redo the front patio dining area as I think it would draw more customers in. If it had not been for my friend recommending this spot, I would have walked by. Overall the customer service was good and I would come back to try other dishes - I'd say the popcorn chicken was my favorite.

Spiced well and very filling. We didn't expect the pork to be cut so large and mixed into the rice, but it was very tender and easy to still eat. We would've expected the pork to be sliced maybe in half or fourths to make the dish feel like a "pork fried rice" than a fried rice + pork mix, but it still worked well and if you love pork, this will definitely be your fix! 5/5 - Pad Thai - We thought the restaurant nailed this classic noodle dish. Filling portions and did not overcook their noodles. You can taste each component of the dish, which speaks to everything not being under or overcooked. We ordered nuts on the side but you would be quite satisfied ordering this if you like pad thai! 4.5/5 - Pad Gra Prow - Appropriate veggie to beef proportion and very flavorful.
