Mixed on this one. They have Thai staff. One of the ladies, from Thailand, could not offer me an authentic Thai dish. I asked about it, and she mentioned a plate that is uber popular with Americans. Far from authentic. That is all she pointed out. She seemed embarrassed that she could not give me a suggestion. I took it upon my self to look at the pictures on the menu and pick something that looks authentic. I had just gotten back from Thailand, and was interested in tasting their food to see how it compared to the food in Thailand. My native Thai fiancé took me to many authentic Thai restaurants and they were delicious - no-beyond delicious, and cheap I paid five hundred baht , which is equivalent to ten dollars for two large delicious vegetable plates , raw vegetable and cooked veggies, a plate of noodles, and a full plate of fried chicken. Not chicken like America, which is usually breaded. This chicken was good. So I got four plates for $10. And paid over $30 for one plate and a beer. Wow. The ambience was nice, staff was nice, I have no complaints there. Actually, she was pretty friendly. And I enjoyed talking to her. But the food, well, the vegetables on the plate were excellent. But the meat, I forgot what it was maybe pork or beef for not sure, I had a hard time eating it. It did not taste right. I left half of it there. I never ate a dish in Thailand that had so much meat on it, or any meat at all. They usually like seafood on their plates. That's what I ate. Maybe there are beef and pork dishes. Well I'm sure there are. My fiancé really liked the shrimp and fish. Not to dog this restaurant too much-from the experience I had in Thailand, I was there 18 days, this food did not taste authentic. It was close, well, not so close, there were some flavors that compared. But I would give it a 2 1/2 on taste and texture. Too much meat that didn't taste right. I really want to love this place. The inside of the restaurant is such an aesthetic vibe. Whether with family or friends, this place would especially be a place to bring a date to. However, and a BIG however, is that the food is hit or miss here. Usually pad thai is a good standard test to tell how good a thai restaurant is. When I ordered pad thai during my first visit, I was sorely disappointed. It looked amazing, but tasted meh. I also ordered an order of their chicken satay and the chicken was very dry. And when you throw in that my waitress stared at me oddly whenever she came by to check on me, you can definitely say that my first impression was not a positive one. However, really wanting to like this place, I went back to give it another try. The aesthetic vibe was too good to dismiss this place so quickly. Long story short, the second try redeemed this review quite a bit. I ordered a Pad See Ew with beef and it was SO delicious! Even the fresh rolls were tasty and presented beautifully. Their thai tea is also good and the different waitress was also a lot friendlier. So, I'm not sure about this place. It's by no means amazing, especially when you're used to really good thai food in other big cities, but it's not horrible either. And this seems to be my experience with other thai restaurants I've had in Spokane. As a Thai restaurant, how can you get pad thai wrong? Maybe it's tailored to the local taste? My brother took us here for dinner the other night. Place is huge, the decorations were neat, ambiance was warm and inviting. We got seated fast. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We had the lettuce wraps for an app - not bad, very flavorful, veggies were fresh Entree - green curry, papaya salad, pad see ew, and drunken noodles. The green curry was great!! It was Rick and cream with a ton of chicken. Papaya salad was fresh and had a slight kick. The drunken noods were pretty good. I wasn't too fond of the pad see ew. It was very saucy and had cabbage it. I've had this dish in many Thai restaurants. This is the 1st I saw had cabbage and be this saucy. Overall experience was good. I ordered Mongolian Beef, Spring rolls sweet and sour chicken To go. The only item that were tasty but very small were the spring rolls. The Mongolian Beef was like eating seasoned shoe laces. Tough, over cooked meat that was shredded and oily. Could not eat. Even the feral cat would not touch it. So basically over 20$ for a scoop of rice. Chicken was shredded in the sweet and sour chicken....if you could find it. The noodles were tasty. I will not return. 45 $ for crap. Don't do it! The place looks very nice on the inside. I got their chicken pad thai to go and it was very good! I have been on a search for the best Thai food in Spokane and I think this spot is definitely better than most. One of my favorite go-to's for curry. It's actually difficult for me to order anything else since it's so good! I had the Curry Salmon and my daughter had the Panang Curry. I give this N Division location 3.5 stars. It's just not a 4, based on the food. I'll say this...it's a 5 for ambiance and service. The staff were attentive and friendly. My server checked back often. I love how fun the vibes are here. Almost like a tiki bar. It's such a fun spot and can accommodate a large group or party. Sometimes, that's what you are looking for, and this place would get 5 stars for sure. Now, let's talk about the food. It's just not that special. The appetizer was supposed to be a garlic sauce with green beans and snow peas. I expected to have garlic breath, but I didn't. I'm thinking of a rich and decadent garlic sauce, but instead, it was a little overcooked and not enough garlic flavor. My Panang Curry was boring because it didn't have a vegetable besides red bell peppers. Most Panang comes with green beans and your choice of protein. I chose tofu, and it was a soft tofu, not a fried tofu. I prefer my tofu to have a solid texture. This just wasn't that style. The curry itself with the coconut milk was delicious. It was a perfect level 4 of spice and so creamy and delicious. I added my appetizer of green beans and snow peas to my curry to help bring it up a notch. That helped, but it's expensive to have to do that. It was expensive for the portion size. I only tried those two dishes, so my rating is based on these. I'll come back if I'm with a group and try a fried rice dish. The intention here is awesome. I just didn't fall in love with my dish in comparison to other Thai in town. read more

I wish the food tasted as good as this place looked. I heard the one in the valley is better but I am not really interested in giving that location a try after this. The outside of the building looks interesting and the starry sky ceiling inside is beautiful. That's all for the good. The food was a bit expensive and didn't taste good. First-time customer here so I played safe and got Pad Thai. I am not a Thai food expert but their Pad Thai confused me. It didn't look like a Pad Thai to me nor did it taste like one. Everything we ordered was Americanized and greasy. A Thai restaurant can't make Pad Thai right is like the big M can't make their burgers right. This food was atrocious, just because your ambience is good doesn't mean you dint have to try to make decent food i have watched thos place in Spokane just fall in quality of food there Mongolian beef should hit the garbage as soon as it is made, it is just beef Jerky taying in a bit of vegetables. It felt and looked very dirty while after spending almost 100 doors i am now super sick it should be closed down. The ability to provide accurate order seems difficult. The spice level is very inconsistent- the 3 may be hot once and then completely bland the next. We have tried multiple times to give Thai Bamboo additional chances to recommend, but have not had reason to yet. read more

Excellent service and wonderful food! We went on a double date with friends who are regulars here. They said not to order higher than a 2/5 spiciness. Our friends ordered a 0/5 and a 1/5 and I ordered a 2/5. Immediately, my husband ordered a 3/5. This would have been a bad decision but pretty sure the waitress or cook looked at our table and overall order and prepared a 1/5 for his dinner, thankfully, and it had some heat but it didn't take away from the flavor. My 2/5 was excellent! The chicken red curry was one of the best I've had and the heat was perfect for me! The curry fried rice at a 2/5 was also excellent. The appetizers of crab and cream cheese wonton were great! So we're fried rolls :) Found out there is one in the Valley, we will now be regulars, too!! read more

Ok several reasons for this rating. It's unfortunate as this use to be my favorite restaurant however there has been a trend the last several times I've went and this will probably reduce my business at this location. It's fine if servers take time to come to your table because the foods good but when it takes an hour to bring our food out, the server never comes to our table, food is so expensive now. More than $20 a plate for anything. And on top of all of this they have the audacity to charge a 2% kitchen fee. It's ok I took that off the tip but I really should have paid cash and taken it off the cash amount with no tip. read more

Went for restaurant week: Chicken wings were huge and absolutely delicious. Wish they'd put these back on the regular menu! The Langostine Red Curry was really delicious but at only 2 stars was so spicy hot could not eat very much. The star of their Restaurant Week menu (aside from the wings) was the Coconut Cheesecake! OMG! Heavenly! On the regular menu, I suggest Phad Thai, Phad See Ew, Thai Larb & Waterfall salads, Tom Yum & Tom Kha (Crave this when I'm sick especially), Pineapple Red Curry (one of my absolute favorites!), Swimming Rama, and Black Bean Eggplant. I met some friends here at the Thai Bamboo on Division. The design on the inside was beautiful and sets you up for a good meal. We shared some dishes that were delicious. The young man waiting on us was pretty attentive but did screw up the order on one dish. He apologized and brought the right dish. So we had MORE than enough food to take home. All of it was tasty. I ordered what I normally order at any Thai restaurant which is my favorite dish the Yellow Curry with Tofu protein and a Thai Ice Tea. While the service was great and the atmosphere seemed amazing the food left little to be desired. The picture ok the website really didn't match what I opened up. The spice level was listed as a 2 out of 5 but felt more like a 4 compared to other restaurants, the tofu pieces where so large and seemed under prepared, there were a few potato pieces but overall the spiciness was over whelming. The Thai ice tea was good and rich in flavor. Overall I would not recommend this for takeout it was over priced for quality and taste but I'm sure it's pleasant for dine In. read more

Hot while you're eating, goes away pretty quickly. I could handle the 4, but my girlfriend can't. It's curry. Love it. Beef was pretty tender chunks. Got the Guay Tiew Tom Kha soup with shrimp. Coconut and tangy. Super good. Had Phad Woon Sen noodles with chicken. Super thin glass noodles. It's honestly "lo mein ish" in flavor. In a good way. Crowd pleaser. Good for kids and non-adventurous eaters in the group. Couple other things I want to try. Violent amount of food. We have easily two more meals out of this. Pretty much everything under $20. This is my go to for Thai food in Spokane. My favorite dishes are street noodles, and drunken noodles. I have also ordered pad Thai and crab fried rice, and a teriyaki bowl. The food is consistently good. Service is friendly and helpful. I like the decor in the restaurant, and the Coeur D Alene Idaho, and South Hill Spokane locations have the cool ceiling that changes colors making it a really fun place. YUCK! If I can give this restaurant 0 star, I would. If you are new to Thai food and want to be a bit adventurous, this is the place to try first. If you are into authentic Thai cuisine, this place is ranked the very bottom of any Thai Restaurant in US. Their pad thai didn't have much flavor in it. It was all soaked in their sweet sauce (although I asked them to make it less sweet after reading reviews on yelp) and that is literally all I could taste. I ordered 5 star for its spiciness, and it was almost the same as 0 star. The things I liked about this place were their design (pretty sparkly ceiling!) and very spacious location (Good for groups). Oh, and the portion is pretty big. Price was average (around $14 for pad thai) They often have Groupon deals so if you were to try this place out, I recommend getting the deal first! But if you want a decent Thai meal, I would recommend Bangkok thai over this place (Their food is actually spicy too). read more
