Overpriced. Poor service. I should've gotten the lunch special but bought into the misleading pictures on the new menu. The server was indignant when I asked if I really spent $21 on a bowl of soup when the picture of the other $21 soup was of a large volcano soup vessel that could be shared. First thing 1 star for table, I had to peel the menu off the table, it was stuck. Could have been just the sweetness of the table since it was not sticky. Not a great first thing. Waiters brought water ASAP and I ordered Lunch Special, two items. TomKha and Cashew fried chicken, Pad Min HaPan or C6 on lunch menu at 11:48 AM. Now waiting. Serve my plate in 8 minutes!! Nice! Looks great, smells great. Proceeding to consume!! 2 little spring roles were good. The Tomkha could have NSF some Thai basil chopped. The broth had some small coconut cream bubbles which was good but possibly reheated? Only two veggies seemingly. Really nice atmosphere and outdoor patio area with some cool decorations. It wasn't too hot outside but the lack of ac and having to sit on leather seats proved very uncomfortable. We ordered pad Thai and some appetizers and a side of sticky rice. The food was okay, don't get me wrong, but not even close to being worth the cost of the meal in any way. I've had significantly better quality food from cheap food trucks where you could probably order half the menu for the price of one entree at Bangkok Thai. We felt like we significantly overpaid for our food even down to the rice, I think I paid 5 dollars for a side of sticky rice. I love sticky rice, but was disappointed in the poor quality and small portion in relation to the price. We got to try a new restaurant, which is always fun, but due to the cost of the food in relation to the portion sizes and quality, we will unfortunately not be back. It is a shame because the actual restaurant itself is in a super cool building and has a nice outdoor view! When we entered, we felt like we were in a fancy restaurant and were excited. I hope the restaurant will improve the quality of the food and increase the portion sizes (and invest in an ac or contact the building to install one) or significantly decrease the prices to match. Service was not notable, and we don't particularly care about service quality in general as long as the food is good as that's what we are there for. I will say that our waiter did bring us refills on the water and checked up on us more than once which was appreciated! read more

NEVER eating here again. $18 for the lunch special, which included choice of two off the special lunch menu. The Pad Thai was complete mush and I couldn't stomach it. I asked for it with no meat, but found small meat chunks in it, as if they had picked the meat out. The Massaman had one potato chunk and two peanuts. The "curry" sauce was more like a broth. I tried mixing the rice into the Massaman, which should have thickened it, but rice can't thicken broth. Both were inedible and disgusting. This is the first time in my life that I have left an entire $18 meal sitting on the table and walked out (I did pay). The patio was pleasant, that was the highlight. read more

We were at a very popular Spokane brewery located next-door to Bangkok Thai when we started to crave some pad Thai and headed over for dinner. We went with the Chicken Pad Thai and Spring Rolls. Whole I'm not a pad that connoisseur, this is some of the best I've had. The service was exceptional and the prices are reasonable. They have some tables pretty much right on the Spokane River which makes for a pretty cool dining experience. They also have a large banquet room, which would be perfect for business lunches or a graduation party The reason I'm giving five stars is my wife and I found ourselves talking about this dinner over the past few days. This was definitely the unexpected stand out dinner from our weekend in town. We will be back! read more

Ordered a group order. It doesn't show on website but they have large trays to feed groups. We picked it up and fed about 25 folks. Food was ready on time (called day prior). Great service from Tiep. Had Panang curry, Phad Thai, Larb Gai (comes with the real sticky rice!) and a few other dishes for vegetarians. It was a hit. Driving back from Wyoming, we stopped here because it was my friend's favorite restaurants in the Spokane area. I haven't stopped at a Thai place in quite a while (I blame COVID for that one), so it seemed like a safe choice. It's located inside a rather large industrial looking space among other businesses with high ceiling; there was a brewery and a hair salon as well. We arrived just as they opened on a Friday and there was no one inside. The hostess was gracious as we asked questions about their lunch menu and managed our expectations. My 4-5 star order was actually spicy, which was very refreshing! You get two choices of entrees in smaller portions, along with a couple of tiny (and I mean tiny!) fried spring rolls, and the most perfectly cooked jasmine rice. While waiting for our takeaway orders, I wandered around their place and it's rather big. They have two separate indoor areas and a patio outside overlooking the Spokane River. If we had stayed to dine, we definitely would have dined outside. Also appreciate all the pop culture metal sculptures, big and small, around the restaurant. My friend said that there was a place in Bangkok that had similar sculptures in Bangkok as well. Recommended! read more

Downhill in quality and up in price, we ordered two #19 Pad Kee Mao and three of the ingredients were missing, broccoli, egg and basil. The portions have also been reduced. Came to have lunch and ordered Gang Massaman (Yellow Curry) I also ordered a Thai Iced Tea. The tea came out promptly and the food about 15 -10 minutes after. The food was delicious the yellow curry seemed a bit more red/orange but still had great flavor and taste I selected chicken as the protein and it was well cooked not dry and great texture. The Rea was refreshing and had good flavor and the ambiance was amazing great aesthetics, great dining both I door and outdoor and being right by the centennial trail and river makes for a great dining experience. The only issue I had was with the server who seemed to be more focused on getting me in and out. Had I not felt so rushed, I may have had a better experience. read more

Possibly a more authentic Thai experience than other popular Thai restaurants in spokane, but not one I will hurry back for. I've noticed that Thai bamboo is sweeter than many Thai restaurants but I've grown to like that now after being in Spokane a few years. This one seemed bland in comparison, as the remaining flavor was grease. I did delivery from here, and it was over an hour from the time the driver appeared to getting my food. It's not a strip mall, but something similar. Once I got inside, someone came out quickly to greet me. I was picking up a shrimp roll and a pad see ew. I didn't eat the shrimp roll myself, but it looked good. I had the pad see ew. Ew indeed. Tasted like frozen veggies thrown together with very little flavor. There was no love there at all. The appetizers were great, highly recommended the crab in blankets, I also liked to keep the sauce for spreading on my rice when the main dish came out. Our experience changed a bit for our main courses. My wife wasn't very satisfied with her curry. I don't think she didn't like it, but it didn't satisfy the craving she came in with. At the end of the day it wasn't a dish that met the experience, almost $30 for duck that tasted overcooked and dry. My food came out on a skillet, and was initially excited when I saw it coming. The server had two entrees in their hands and bowls of rice. They put the duck down and the rice, but continues to serve the table behind us the other entree. Didn't seem like a big deal at first but it felt like the curry my wife ordered didn't get to the table for another 5 or 6 minutes. My wife was trying to convince me to start eating but it's not what you want to do, just feels like an overall lame start to the dinner. I took my first bite and just felt very confused if I loved what I was tasting or not, there was decent flavor but I felt like I got duped into buying a dish that was left in the cooker too long because enough of the special wasn't ordered. The duck was dry in so many cuts of the meat, or tender to fall apart with a spoon on extra fatty pieces. The carrots weren't long enough either in my opinion. I seem to overall like the chain Bangkok Thai. The South Hill location takes good care of my office! This location in Logan is a beautiful build out and we loved the space given throughout the dining room. Friendly staff that'll greet you with smiles. With all this said, nothing about the entrees will have us "coming back for more." After the whole experience I am still questioning who can take care of my family the best for delicious Thai food and once again I'm met with a question mark and feel as if Spokane is still missing the mark. Get yourself a lunch and deal at one of the Bangkok Thai locations but I would not recommend their dinner dining scene at this time. read more

My wife and I looked on Yelp to find a nice place with good reviews for Thai. Found this place. Wow!! Nice location. Nice place. Awesome decorations and statues. Decorations. Interior design. Just cool. And the outdoor seating by the river and foliage, gorgeous. The service was awesome. The host friendly and the server too! The menu was intriguing but the buffet for $15 all you can eat was just awesome. We were the first ones there today for lunch and all the food was fresh and piping hot. We got first dibs. There were 10 trays of great food and I tried 8 of them (two plates), and they were all delicious. The spices, seasoning, herbs, sauces, curries to die for. The Pad Thai had one piece of tofu in it and had did not have much of the usual ingredients like lime, sprouts and carrots that you would expect.The potatoes in the Gang Massaman were practically raw, there was a piece of chicken in the dish as well. (We ordered it with tofu, as we are vegetarian). Onions in it were undercooked and overall pretty tasteless. The two dishes and a small extra rice came to $67.00. I would expect much better quality. This spot is huge! So much character and so much space to have a large party or a busy night. I love the way this building is laid out and this place just has all the vibes. Thai food has become quite the favorite of mine and I really enjoyed Bangkok Thai. I highly recommend the Spring Rolls - Fresh Rolls - they are tasty and well rolled and absolutely have fresh ingredients with a great and flavorful peanut sauce. The teriyaki chicken is pretty tasty as well. The sticky rice is some of my favorite in town. Also, don't play around with the spice because they will definitely make sure if you want spicy, you will definitely get spicy. read more

If you have not been to the strip mall that Bangkok Thai is in, I suggest you check it out. The environment is vibrant and very friendly to groups of people. When it is warmer outside, there is some great outdoor seating next door to the river. We ordered our food to go and to make 5 dishes. It took around 20 minutes for our food to be ready to pick up. I personally got the red curry with tofu that had 2 stars for spicy. I enjoy spicy food, and by the end of my curry, I could feel a little bit of heat. The tofu was cooked wonderfully so it had a great texture and flavor. The vegetables and rice paired with it were really good. Other people in my group got a "chicken salad" that was served with sticky rice (I think I will get that next time). Another member of my group had pineapple chicken. When you get the pineapple chicken in the restaurant, it is served in a pineapple. Even if it is to go, it is still sweet and very yummy. Give Bangkok Thai a try! read more
