Pad Se Pad Se-ew

Food was pretty underwhelming especially considering the price. $20 for a plate of Pad Se Ew that looked like a chopped plate of soupy mess. I think there was 2 noodles intact, everything else looked finely chopped of something.

We were at a very popular Spokane brewery located next-door to Bangkok Thai when we started to crave some pad Thai and headed over for dinner. We went with the Chicken Pad Thai and Spring Rolls. Whole I'm not a pad that connoisseur, this is some of the best I've had. The service was exceptional and the prices are reasonable. They have some tables pretty much right on the Spokane River which makes for a pretty cool dining experience. They also have a large banquet room, which would be perfect for business lunches or a graduation party The reason I'm giving five stars is my wife and I found ourselves talking about this dinner over the past few days. This was definitely the unexpected stand out dinner from our weekend in town. We will be back!

My husband would give them a 5 but I think it was 4 stars. The place is super pretty and the atmosphere was great. My husband had the lunch 2 choice combo and it loved it. I just ordered appetizers as I wasn't that hungry. The service was a bit slow but our waitress was very nice. We will go back again mainly because my husband liked it so much. And for me the ambience.

It's buried in this Riverwalk complex.

Driving back from Wyoming, we stopped here because it was my friend's favorite restaurants in the Spokane area. I haven't stopped at a Thai place in quite a while (I blame COVID for that one), so it seemed like a safe choice. It's located inside a rather large industrial looking space among other businesses with high ceiling; there was a brewery and a hair salon as well. We arrived just as they opened on a Friday and there was no one inside. The hostess was gracious as we asked questions about their lunch menu and managed our expectations. My 4-5 star order was actually spicy, which was very refreshing! You get two choices of entrees in smaller portions, along with a couple of tiny (and I mean tiny!) fried spring rolls, and the most perfectly cooked jasmine rice. While waiting for our takeaway orders, I wandered around their place and it's rather big. They have two separate indoor areas and a patio outside overlooking the Spokane River. If we had stayed to dine, we definitely would have dined outside. Also appreciate all the pop culture metal sculptures, big and small, around the restaurant. My friend said that there was a place in Bangkok that had similar sculptures in Bangkok as well. Recommended!

Came to have lunch and ordered Gang Massaman (Yellow Curry) I also ordered a Thai Iced Tea. The tea came out promptly and the food about 15 -10 minutes after. The food was delicious the yellow curry seemed a bit more red/orange but still had great flavor and taste I selected chicken as the protein and it was well cooked not dry and great texture. The Rea was refreshing and had good flavor and the ambiance was amazing great aesthetics, great dining both I door and outdoor and being right by the centennial trail and river makes for a great dining experience. The only issue I had was with the server who seemed to be more focused on getting me in and out. Had I not felt so rushed, I may have had a better experience.

I love this place I will be coming a lot now that I found it we loved everything our food and service was amazing! We are foodies and have been plenty of places but for Washington this was my favorite Thai restaurant and it's low key and beautiful surroundings

Hell No. mediocre and overpriced food, small portions, bad service. Didn't have good beer options despite being next to a brewery.

Wow! This is going to be a fun review…read more.. Stay tuned. You want good food. Do you want food that is authentic to its culture. Do you want a Thai dish cooked by a Thai chef. You found the place. Not just that, the help is wonderful. The Thai woman that served me was precious. And the Caucasian gentleman was very nice. Beautiful ambience. See my pictures. And did you see the picture of the food? Totally delicious. I visited Thailand one month ago. I have a Thai fiancé that took me to all the good restaurants. She lives there, she's a chef herself, she knows the good food, and she took me there. So, what I'm saying, I know good Thai food first hand. What I must say about the food I had here today, is it was delicious, it was spicy, and it was authentic. I ate it like a champ. With a spoon and fork, the Thai way. I made it a spicy as I wanted with the included Thai spicy sauce. I practically poured it on my food. I drank a lot of water ... I can say with almost 100% certainty that the rest of the food is good. I say this because, the restaurant opens at 11AM. There were people waiting at the door to get in before 11AM and by the time I sat down, the restaurant was filling up with people. There were orders being taken out by customers calling on the phone. It was busy. That should give you an indication of the quality of the food. I am so happy at the fact that I am able to bring my Thai fiancé to this restaurant once she becomes a citizen. The legal way, lol ...

Her warmth was genuine, her recommendations were spot-on, and she had an incredible ability to anticipate what we needed before we even asked. Lily checked in at just the right moments -- never intrusive, never absent. She remembered details from earlier in the conversation, kept the energy upbeat, and handled a small mix-up with our order with total grace and a smile. That kind of poise is rare. If you're lucky enough to be seated in Lily's section, you're in for a treat. She's the kind of server who turns a good meal into a genuinely memorable experience. We'll absolutely be back, and we'll be asking for her by name!

We had a group of eight and there was a lot of "not ready yet" which the staff handled with ease. Food came out quickly but mostly all at the same time. We had a few items that came out later but it was reasonable and expected. Ambiance is very nice, simple but elegant. You would feel comfortable coming in dressed up or casual. Let's get to the nitty gritty, the food quality was very good, taste was a knock out. The pasta and sauce was good enough that I was looking for specific tastes so I could recreate it, that's what I hope for in a restaurant! And there was fresh bread, oh how I could wax poetic about fresh bread and so few restaurants are on this very simple add. Dessert - I'm always hypercritical of crème brûle because like bread it's pretty simple ingredients but takes some care, Muzuna's nailed it. All in all you should stop in for dinner and you won't be disappointed!

My husband was not impressed with the vegetable tempura as the veggies were cooked until they were soft, he prefers vegetables to be more al dente. I loved the vegetable tempura however and did not feel the veggies I tried were too soft. My husband traded his miso soup for my mushroom and onion soup. I tried both and they were both delicious but he does not enjoy miso soup while I do. I ordered the filet and lobster combination dinner with white rice. The filet was delicious. The lobster did not taste fresh. It was pretty fishy tasting. I told the waitress who promptly apologized and offered to replace it with a different item. She took the lobster tail and I agreed to switch it for the shrimp. She brought the shrimp out to me just a few minutes later and it was very delicious and tasted fresh. The veggies served with my dinner entree were so wonderfully flavored and cooked just how I like. My husband had the pad thai with beef and he loved it so much. This was our first time coming to Shiki and I must say we will definitely be coming back. Overall wonderful service and aside from the lobster everything tasted so good.

When we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and the guy at the bar was genuinely friendly and helpful, which always makes a difference. The food prep was impressively fast, and everything was packaged neatly and thoughtfully for takeout. We started with the pretzel, which was solid, but the real standout was the mustard--super unique with a tangy, spicy, almost wasabi-like kick that made it memorable. For mains, the curry dish hit a great balance--flavorful without being overpowering or too mild. And the biggest endorsement came from my daughter, who ordered the kids pasta with marinara and added chicken--she declared it the "best spaghetti she's ever had!" (Shh... don't tell mom.) Overall, great service, tasty food, and a welcoming vibe. The only reason it's not a full 5 stars is I'd love to explore more of the menu next time--but based on this visit, we'll definitely be back.
