Located in the Laurel Town Center. The inside of Thai at Laurel was a lot nicer than expected! I recommend dining in over carryout if you have the option. We started off with an appetizer of the shrimp cakes. Highly recommend trying these out! I ordered a Thai tea as well. Service was quick and the staff were helpful. I got the pineapple rice and my husband got the green curry. We both really loved our dishes. The portions were generous especially for the pineapple rice. Definitely check them out if you are in the area! read more

I have Been going to Thai @ Laurel for over 4 years now. Every time I walk in the lady at the cash register acts like she has never seen me a day in my life. I get the same thing every single time. Siam Spicy Chicken and Mango Sticky Rice. Ive tried many other things, including drinks but this is my regular. On occasion I have told my friends about this establishment and how good the food is. However last night I was met with bad service!! (unfortunately not unusual) I ordered my food to go and decided to wait for a friend. I receive my food and a receipt to sign and tip. As I begin eating my food. While being 5 customers in the entire dining room INCLUDING ME. Tuesday, January 29th. Big Mistake. Horrible Service. Portions have changed. I will never return or support this business again after 4-5years+ The Ambiance is cold and there is a reason why it is so slow in there. The only good thing is that the food comes out hot. But at what cost, I couldn't even open the plate of hot food I paid 30 dollars for in the Restaurant!!!! I am a chef, server, AND bartender, I've been to Michelin to Fine Dining to Fast Casual. There are PLENTY of restaurants besides McDonald's that offer you to order food to go and grab one bite because I am never able to completely finish my food in one sitting. read more

Plenty of open tables, took forever to have someone come up to us, who brought water, but didn't ask to take our order. I have eaten here before, more than once, and it was delicious. When we finally ordered, I got the Pat Pad Thai, which was a HUGE disappointment.... Really the flavor was nothing but peanut, no real spice, and the roasted pork was gamey.... No one ever came back to ask how our meal was, or if we liked it. We actually had to get up when finished, and ASK for our check.... She came and dropped it off, and yet AGAIN, we weren't asked if it was good or if we liked it. It was a total disappointment, and huge surprise. read more

Solid experience! Food 5/5 Portions were plentiful and flavors were delicious. Ordered the drunken noodles with no bell peppers and shrimp. It was so good! Service 5/5 We were seated quickly, and food was served in a reasonable amount of time (not too quick but not too long). Ambiance 5/5 Bright lights and nice bar. Bathrooms were clean too. read more

This place was okay not great. It took them more than 40 mins to get us our food. We had to keep asking them when will we get our food. Food was not great. We both got a bit stomachache after getting home. Not sure why, but base on the experience we got, I don't think I will come back l. read more

I'm heading back! I met a friend on a Wednesday. There were plenty of people there but not crowded. We were seated and taken care of immediately. My friend ordered Shrimp Yellow Curry (4 stars). We loved it, it was more on the sweeter side. Probably some of the sweaters curry I've ever tried, perfect amount of spice, small portions though. Certainly not enough for leftovers. I ordered the Tom Yum Mushroom soup (5 stars). Spicy! Lime-y! So good! Small portion, if I knew it was so small I would have also ordered an entrée. For dessert we tried the homemade Thai Tea Creme Brûlée. 5 stars! My lord! It's exactly what it taste like. 100% recommend. Heading back soon because there were so many dishes I wanted to try. Love the ambiance. Love the service. Love the food. read more

This has gone down in quality since our first visit a few years ago. We wanted take out and decided to try Thai at Laurel. The pad thai was not spicy and too sweet. The flavor was bland. I had chicken satay and it was dry and flavorless. Definitely the worst I've ever had but one of the sauces helped. Best part of the meal was the spring rolls. They were well cooked, crispy and the filling was tasty. Overall it was overpriced and disappointing. read more

A delightful meal w a friend. The food was good, meriting a return visit. Prices were a bit high, but the location/ease of finding the restaurant offset that. Staff was average in attentiveness, but it was a busy weekend evening meal. Restaurant was busy so conversation was a bit challenged by the noise. Standard Asian ambiance. We will go back, at least for carry out. read more

Pretty good Thai food. I've had the drunken noodles a few times now. Service is great and ambience is chill.

Great Thai food! Beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff too! One of the best restaurants in Laurel.

Nice Ambiance in a Quiet Atmosphere, although the food was mediocre. Service was okay, but they suggest tip based on total balance. I believe you should be able to choose your tip based on service . read more

I used to love this place. The food was fresh, well-seasoned and tasty. Price point higher than most; but the quality made up for the cost. Yesterday we order take out - the containers are significantly smaller, not as seasoned and the prices have increased. Such a disappointment! The service was prompt as usual and the dining room is still relatively clean. It depends on what you value. read more

This is my go to spot for Thai food! We had a craving for some fried fish and came here on a Thursday night. We were seated right away and served water at the table. We didn't have to wait long for the server to come back and take our order. We got calamari for appetizer, 1 drink each, and the fried whole flounder. Drinks took a little while to come out. For understanding, we were finished with our calamari appetizer before the drinks arrived. You must order the fried whole fish! They serve it with 2 sauces: garlic and sweet/spicy on the side with white rice. It's a very large fish so come hungry! You can bring families here or come for date night. I always bring people who are visiting and have a craving for Thai food and it never disappoints! read more

Found this place on tiktok and grabbed some lunch to go! While I waited for my to-go order, I ordered the lychee martini. Possibly one of the best martini's I ever had and I appreciated the fruit accompaniment to finish it off! On the inside, the decor is lovely and gives off a great vibe for a date night or girls/boys night out! The street noodles were recommended from the video I saw and they didn't disappoint. They were a little dry and stuck together after traveling. In the dine-in video, they looked more loose and saucy but was still delicious once warmed up. It also has a kick to it if you like spicy food! The rolls were decent and the sauce that came with it was good. Not sure if I'd order it again but it wasn't bad at all. The thai iced tea was the most balanced and flavorful I've ever had! read more

I ordered chicken fried rice. It was good, but expensive. I've ordered from them before. There's not I much I would order from them because either some of the food is spicy or it's not appealing to me based off the description. I did see a couple of items that looked interesting and may try next time. The restroom was bad because it smelled and it was filthy. I was greeted when I walked into the door. They do have a bar. The place is not really huge inside. I went on Saturday night and it was busy. read more

Very similar to Dok Khao in Columbia, which is my favorite Thai food of all time. Recipes seemed almost the same and menus had the same dishes and aesthetic (on the drink and dessert menu). I'm not aware of them being related, but maybe they are. Pad Thai and Duck Curry are my favorites. Have great depth of flavor and the perfect balance of sweet, sour, and savory. Adorable like Santa Claus hat chair covers on every chair - so festive! read more

This was a good Thai restaurant. Service was a bit slow but staff were quite friendly. To start, we got cocktails - Lycheetini and Mai Tai. Both were quite delicious and the presentations were pretty. For an appetizer, we shared the Fried Tofu. It was bland by itself but the sweet chili peanut sauce that came with it made it better. For my entree, I chose the Crispy Duck with Basil Leaves. The sauce was good and there was plenty of duck but a bit of fat too which I don't like eating. We also shared the mango with sticky rice for dessert. So good! You can't go too wrong with it so at least we ended our meal with a tasty dessert. read more

This is my go to food spot in Laurel. Been here so many times, I can't count. It's perfect for a casual but nice dinner/lunch. The food is always good. No matter what I've gotten I've left satisfied. This last time we got "curry puffs" and "Bangkok Wings" for an appetizer. Both very good. I loved my curry puffs! I usually go for the red or green curry, the fried rice, or pad thai. You can't go wrong with these. My friend got the fried branzino and he LOVED it. He literally couldn't stop talking about it lol. The service is good, the staff is always friendly without being overbearing. And the decor is nice. The vibe is chill but still a bit classy. Food 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Service 9/10 read more

The Avenue in Laurel is an open air walking wall with some great choices for food. Thai at Laurel is top notch food! Creative specials like the crispy pork belly in brown sauce are amazing. They have all the standards: Pad Thai, and Thai ice tea. Downside was sharing a booth with a child in the other side who could shake both sides, and a family fight a few booths over. It isn't the restaurants fault when customers behave badly, but it does take away from the enjoyment. read more

Once an while we enjoy coming to this very fine restaurant being the 'Thai at Laurel' , making a special trip from Annapolis. "Mothers Day" we reserved a table of four people at 2pm. We were on time ready for a great experience of food with surrounds of decor, as received in passed visits! It was reasonably busy but with reservations at 2pm expectations were to be of their normal high standard. We ordered appetizer's of a selection with Entree's. Ordered drinks and Americano coffee for me, it was just only luke warm. The meals took time but that was ok, as we enjoyed conversation.. Then the main meals arrived but what happened to our appetizer's ? No appetizer's! 'Thai at Laurel' forgot our appetizer's! Very disappointing as looking forward to these morsel treats before our main course.. No time for a re-order of such appetizer delights, started eating our main meals that were far from hot and fairly just warm. We couldn't understand why there was such a mix up of our orders! Not usual for this 'top restaurant' that we have always previously enjoyed with excellent service.. We ordered desserts and coffee, trying to make for a happy Mothers Day of treats and desserts were great but; unfortunately the Americano coffees ordered came cold and and other drinks charged for, but we did not not order those drinks? Asked to be returned? When the bill came it charge for appetizer's we did not receive, to start the meal, and drinks we did not order! We insisted the later dessert drinks and the appetizer's to be removed from the presented bill. Very disappointed especially when we have really enjoyed this Thai restaurant in previous visits. In reflection not worth the 20% tip we marked, as of the low of three choices. Final bill $283.06, yes very disappointed. read more

It's my second time ordering from Thai at Laurel. I've eaten in the one in Crofton and wasn't very impressed. The first time I ordered from the location in Laurel was two years ago and really liked the Tom Yum soup. We ordered it again along with the pad Thai and drunken noodles. I thought the soup was good and enjoyed the drunken noodles as well. The only issue I have is the service. I picked up my order and the lady who gave me my order was rude. I only asked if everything I ordered was in the bag because it was stapled and I didn't want to look inside. She didn't respond kindly so I was taken aback. I just paid for my order, signed the check and left. I think they need to work on customer service especially if you want to work in the restaurant industry and the public. I will find another Thai restaurant in the area. read more

Thai at Laurel is a great restaurant. We came here for dinner after a Ravens game. The restaurant is large and spacious. The service is quick and friendly. I need to come back here soon, perhaps after another Ravens game. read more

Ok. This place needs like 10 stars!! I've been here at least 5 times in the last month and the food has been perfect every single time. Last week I ordered delivery and shortly after the food arrived I received a call from someone in the restaurant because she thought they had forgotten to include one of my meals. She offered to redeliver or give me a credit. Luckily I had received everything had didn't need her offer but I appreciate her making the effort. The crab fried rice is amazing. So much crab. My fav is the street noodles, but I also love the soup. I tried drunken noodles for the first time and was totally impressed. Very delicious. I'll probably be ordering again next week. There are so many options! read more

Worst customer service I've ever had!!! The food not good enough for them to be acting like that!!! They do not like black people here

Food's great here! I get the garden delight with chicken, and the Tom yum soup- it's a great full meal. Service is excellent. During Covid, you can eat in, but it's all on disposable plates and utensils, kind of a bummer. Prices went up slightly, portions seem slightly smaller since Covid. Nice nice people here- you won't be disappointed. read more

One of my favorite spots in Laurel! I enjoy sitting at the bar typically but we're still in a pandemic so no such luxuries at the moment. Only carryout and delivery options are currently available. I have no problem with that. I'm happy to support local businesses as much as I can. I was having a craving and called in an order for drunken noodles with chicken. I went to pick it up and it was ready when I arrived. Due to Covid-19 you're not allowed to go past the entrance. There's a table there and you pay there. No going inside. I noticed the container was tiny but didn't stress about it. I took my food home and began to dig in. I immediately noticed it didn't taste quite what I remembered. I've had this dish many times and usually it's great. I understand that things aren't the same but I can't lie - I was very disappointed with my meal. It lacked flavor and wasn't worth it. I spent $18 (including a tip). Sigh. I just won't be in a hurry to return here for now. read more

I really wanted to like Thai at Laurel but after 3 visits here (all for carry-out during the COVID-19 pandemic), I don't think I'll come back even though the Pad Thai is not bad. Dishes I've tried here: 1) Thai at Pad Thai - Southern style pad Thai, sautéed thin rice noodles, roasted pork, egg, Chinese Broccoli, peanut, bean sprouts, homemade spicy sweet soy sauce (Owner's recipe) 2) Kana Crispy Pork - Crispy pork belly, stir fried with Chinese broccoli and spicy brown sauce I've had the Pad Thai twice and I did enjoy the balance of spice and sweetness. However, I ordered the Kana Crispy Pork once and it was mostly just fatty and chewy--no crisp at all. I was super disappointed and couldn't believe I paid close to $20 for that dish that wasn't even that big. I've only gone here a few times because I'm currently staying in the area. I don't think it's worth traveling more than 10 minutes to come here. Perhaps a dine-in experience would've been better and my pork wouldn't be soggy. read more
