I had to call several times to speak with a supervisor about my two late deliveries. The terminal manager was supposed to return my urgent call by 10:00AM, and that came and went. Now I'm calling 800-333-7400 and the rep. in the Philippines has to call the terminal because obviously they don't have the verbal skills to speak to their customers directly. This is the fourth time UPS freight has screwed up my delivery. They just don't care, they just take it back back to the facility. Called at 9:45am to inform them the business closes at 4pm. Was told someone would call in a hour, no call, then no delivery, call at 5:30pm they tell me the driver is in route, "WTF" the business is closed. So make me the priority the next day, told can't do that. "WTF" you screwed my order today I should be priority the next day, can't do that. Yes I too just like the 79 before me who have reviewed this business am really taken back at how bad this experience has been. Where do I start. My package was a 900+ lb freight. Three weeks ago my package was scheduled for delivery. On day of delivery the delivery person came an hour outside of the delivery window and spoke with my child through the home door when my child went to grab me he left. I called this business who informed me the delivery person wrote a note that he tried to call me (which was not true) and couldn't deliver the package because I live on a hill (again not true ive had several freights delivered here with no problem at all). For two weeks the company drags there feet in getting a 3rd party to deliver the package. Finally 3 weeks later the 3rd party has gotten the authorization to pick my item up for delivery. I call in day after day to figure out when the exchange is going to take place dealing with unbelievably rude workers. Finally this place has the nerve to tell me they've lost my 900+ lb item! Going on day 4 and they are still telling me they dont know where the item is. A 900+ lb freight crate worth $2000 gone! Save yourself stress ship some other way. read more

Horrible service and unreliable company. We order custom wine rack from Canada for our retail shop. UPS call us to schedule delivery 9/20/8018 and no show. UPS keep reschedule for 3 times and every time we got schedule I have GC team ready to assemble and install. What happen is UPS kept no show and no one can't answer where is my shipment. Not only that UPS finally delivered without notifications on 10/3/2018 our wine rack 3 cartons were damages (scratch and bent) and their missing 1 box. I have them recorded all damages and lost on spot. I keep call to follow up with them for almost a week and no one can answer what going on until they suggest me to file claim by paper including any lost that effect from they service ; GC labor cost from UPS no show 3 times, our rent since we have to delay the project and we have to reorder. We calculated all lost carefully and fair. We submit our claim on 10/8/2018 and 10/9/2018 we found that they got our claim, declined , and close the case without any communication with us. I had a terrible experience with this disgusting shipping company when l shipped my international package coz of the store guy used u.s.p.s. If we could give zero stars we would. Imagine the very opposite of the Amazon experience where you can track your item at all times. This is worse than the opposite. At one point a week after our delivery should have been in our garage we had a call saying essentially the UPS Freight didn't know where they had your item, they didn't know when it would be delivered, and they didn't know how. This was several days after my wife had waited all day for a shipment that constantly said it would be delivered but in fact the truck driver had just bailed and taken it back to San Leandro. At no point did UPS Freight take any responsibility for this fiasco. They blamed our address although they agreed to it when they took on the job and although 24 ft trucks routine come up and down our street. They lied. At one point they promised that they would call us Monday morning to confirm it was on the truck or it wasn't. We never received a call from that person, Sheila, Twice their truck driver bailed on us without anyone there seeming even to know he had done so let alone letting us know. Heck they didn't know. Never ever ever let someone ship something to you with this company. The company that shipped us our product is now using another shipper and told us because of the terrible service on their end in Houston Texas, they would never ship on them again. Just FYI UPS freight is now TForce Freight and their reviews are evern worst...if that's even possible!! TERRIBLE!!! If you want to be left hanging with no delivery and no communication this is the PERFECT company for you. They called me on Thursday to set up an appt for Monday between 2-4pm. We don't open until 4 but told them i would be here for whatever time they were coming. I also had back surgery so can't lift heavy items so when i have deliveries coming i have a group of people that come unload it for me. I got here at 1:30 in case they came early. My workers showed up at 2. Finally at 4:30 i called to get an update...well I was told that it was going to be Wednesday instead! So now I am out $50 for paying workers to stand around waiting, i had to arrange for someone else to take my kids to camp bc i had to be here for the delivery, I have customers that were told their items will ship today but obviously they won't and I am leaving town Friday for a week. So now on top of seeing over 60 customers at my salon before I go out of town i am going to have to try to arrange help AGAIN tomorrow to unload and try to get over 1000 items unloaded and fill orders before leaving on Friday. I called in today to try to get some sort of resolution and spoke with Bradey employe ID# KJR2RGQ and supervisor David employee ID#VBV6MQX both were NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. They both just kept saying you have an appointment tomorrow between 10am-2pm like little robots. To UPS freight, water weighs 10 lbs/gallon. Each pallet I shipped, when audited by UPS freight, weighed 180 lbs more than stated on the BOL, which resulted in $600 in additional charges. Do Not EVER order anything through UPS Freight. I ordered an electronic device through my phone carrier on-line. I needed it by a certain day. Against my better judgement I paid for the only option of overnight air shipping, I was tracking the package through UPS website and it was sent to the Baldwin park facility at 10am. I live 10 miles from there. It said in transit expected delivery at the end of the day. I wasted my entire day waiting for this package that never showed up. When I checked again at 11pm in the evening it said it was still in transit at 10:30pm. Never showed up. So much for their 12pm/5pm delivery time. Now it says my expected delivery date is 4 days from the time I was expecting it and I could have gone to pick it up myself today (Saturday) but they don't do pick ups for freight deliveries. Had some roofing materials shipped to Moab, UT. Not delivered on tracking delivery date. Called terminal late in day and they said it would not be delivered for another week. Shipment arrived at terminal at 5:19AM and they said it did not make it in time for delivery that day and because of location they only delivered once a week. Roofing contractor had to rent a trailer and drive two hours to terminal to pick up load. They would not load him and made him wait fours hours to load. If I could put a -10, I would. This is the absolute worst shipping company I have ever encountered. I had 3 different delivery dates, none of which showed up or bothered to call me to reschedule. I waited around on 3 different days. The only reason I knew they weren't going to show up was because the delivery time had past and no bothered to call to tell me!! I called to find out why no one showed up, and the guy told me he didn't know. Not one apology, and no one had a clue what was going on. My husband ended up driving in horrific traffic to pick it up after I paid over $1,500 to have it shipped to my house!! We seriously had to go to the warehouse and pick up the order because these incompetent people had not even put it on a truck after the 3rd rescheduled delivery date!! Then he gets to the warehouse after I was told someone would be there to help. He looked all over and finally found one employee eating lunch in the break room. He had to go into their break room to find someone! The most incompetent people I have ever dealt with. I can't believe this is a legit business. Now, get this, it's been months and I am still receiving bills when I already paid in full!!! If I could give zero stars or negative stars I would. We ship LTL freight regularly for our business. We have shipped with many companies and have NEVER had an experience as bad as with UPS Freight. We scheduled two shipments with UPS Freight thinking they should be a reliable company, like other big-name companies such as FedEx Freight, Central Freight, or YRC. What a tremendous mistake! In summary, Shipment #1 was picked up days late, lost, found weeks after the shipment was due, never actually delivered by UPS Freight (we had to pick it up from their terminal), and damaged. Shipment #2 was picked up 2 days late, they failed to deliver it during the "delivery appointment" time or even on that day, and failed to notify us that it would be late; then delivered it on day that we could not accept the delivery after saying they "definitely would not" deliver it that day. If you would like the details relating to each shipment, please read below. For the first shipment, UPS Freight failed to pick up the freight on the scheduled pickup day. They picked it up a couple days later with no notification of the change. We requested a delivery appointment time because it was fragile freight and I wanted to ensure my warehouse manager would be available to oversee unloading of the freight, and paid extra for the "delivery appointment". The freight didn't arrive. I called UPS Freight and they could not determine where the freight was. They said they would contact the local terminal and someone would call me back within an hour. The next day I still did not receive a call. This repeated for 3 days. On the 3rd day they told me they had no idea where our freight was. They said it wasn't lost; they just didn't know where it was located. (That sounds lost to me.) About a week later, the freight was finally delivered to the UPS terminal for the destination city. They told us it would be another week before it was delivered to our warehouse (it was originally supposed to be 3 days from shipper to delivery to consignee, our company). It was now urgently needed, so we asked if we could send a truck to pick it up from the UPS terminal. Our driver arrived at the terminal and the freight was off of the skids and damaged. The freight consisted of 3 hospital beds wrapped in protective wrap and secured to skids. They severely damaged one of the beds and blamed it on the shipper improperly securing it to the skids. The shipper ships hospital beds wrapped and secured to skids on a daily basis, and they have never had this occur. We receive beds wrapped and secured to skids regularly and have never had this occur. Shipment #2 included two very large, heavy crates (154" x 74" x 68" and over 1800 lbs each). Due to the size, we needed multiple employees present when the freight arrived to assist in unloading. Therefore, we requested a delivery appointment for this shipment also. Due to the size and weight of the shipment, UPS Freight called the shipper to arrange pickup. Then they failed to appear on the day THEY scheduled. The shipment was picked up 5 days later. After calling the shipper to schedule the pickup, they gave no notice that they would not arrive to pick it up. They then called to schedule a "delivery appointment", giving a 6 1/2 hour window during which they would (allegedly) deliver the freight. We arranged to have extra employees at the warehouse on the day of the delivery. But the freight didn't arrive. And once again, we did not get a call letting us know that they would not deliver during the appointment time or even the same day. After again calling to track down the freight, I was told it had not yet arrived in the state, much less to the delivery terminal. They said they would call me back and let me know when it would be delivered. Again, we received no call. I called UPS again the following business day and was told that it would arrive at our local terminal on Monday, that they would call to re-schedule the delivery appointment, and they "definitely would not" deliver without calling for an appointment first. Monday morning the first employee arrived at the warehouse to find the UPS truck in the parking lot. Needless to say, they had not called to re-schedule the appointment. Unfortunately, our forklift operator had taken the day off so we had no one to unload the freight because they said they "definitely would not" deliver it that day and without re-scheduling the appt. The employees of UPS Freight have lied and failed to keep their promises repeatedly. They were not careful with the freight and caused extensive damage. I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND AGAINST USING THIS COMPANY! read more

I work in logistics worldwide, and TForce is the worst company for transport in North America. We only use them as a last resort when our pallets are bullet proof , and quality and time is not important. They have never delivered a shipment by the transit days quoted. Not once. Multiple times, the terminal has damaged pallets and have never taken responsibility for their mistake. They have claimed people have signed for damaged items when no one was present to receive, and cameras show the drivers dropping packages that are damaged and forging a signature. When confronted, they say there is nothing they can do. They have never offered any rebate for missing their deadlines and have cost my company tens of thousands of dollars in missed work days. Often, their terminals can not be reached by phone, have full voicemails, and have a general, "I don't care", attitude if you are lucky enough to get someone on the phone. Their hold messages states, "you can rely on TForce to deliver on our promises." This is false advertising at it's best. You would have better luck getting your package to your jobsite on time and undamaged using a carrier pigeon. Never use this company - no matter what. There are other transit companies who may be 10% more expensive, but at least your package will arrive on time and undamaged. read more

This was our first and last time to ever do business with UPS. Even though not all locations might not have the same reputation as San Leandro, the lack of qualified, honest, competent, and initiative driven people UPS hires is enough to give up on the company all together. Reading all the bad reviews thus far has led me to believe that there is something going on at this location and they cannot be trusted. It all starts with the leadership and managers. No one was taking responsibility of the mysterious lost package. The people who looked like they could be supervisors or some level of leadership did not even once ask if everything okay, get involved to see what's the problem, or follow up with us. No one wanted to give us any for sure answers and no one seemed like they wanted to help resolve the issue in a timely manner even when we emphasized that this is a time sensitive package and we are on a time crunch. Stressing that we already lost 2 days in production due to the inaccuracy and irresponsible handling of freight which is the one job you do at UPS, is it not?? All they kept saying is I don't know and it's unfortunate that things like this happens.. in my head, all i could think about was who knows what they're doing here and who can i complain to at this point?? We were told that the night crew would be able to find this package since they couldn't locate it during the daytime (already suspicious of that lame excuse) and will hold it for us to pick up the next day. The dispatcher was able to print out a picture of what the pallet looks like, but yet they don't know where the photo was taken? We were told to call in the morning as early as 6am to check in and find out when the package would be ready for pick up. The dispatcher said 1pm and so Tuesday at 1:30 pm , we show up and they tell us that they can't find the package but the dispatcher in the morning said it's ready for pick up. so who's lying?? After another hour passes , they tell us that they can't look in the bins because it's 250 degrees in the bins so we would have to wait until they cool down. 6 hours later, they find the package and part of it has two big holes in the packaging that damaged part of the shipment. Probably thought they couldn't make us give up or go home so they miraculously found the 180 pound package.... Bottom line of this horrifying experience, the majority of employees that "work" here don't give a damn about their customers nor show them any type of customer service or respect for your items. I would never in a million years think that i would ever have such a bad experience from a well known company. Do yourself a favor and don't do business here. UPS does not care about small businesses. They treat your products like garbage and do not care if, how or when you receive it. The Sacramento branch is the worst shipping company I've ever dealt with. The drivers will literally have your shipment on their trucks and tracking could say out for delivery and if they don't feel like it they would just go back to the terminal with your pallets and don't have a care in the world. Then when you get it somethings always damage or broken. There's no one to give a complaint to as no one cares about your small company. They treat the products like garbage despite the fact that it's food .Even when you pay extra to have your products deliver by a certain day. Your product (which is food in my case) will sit in their dirty warehouse for days just idling. Making it clear that they don't even care about public safety. They need to shut down. I have called them to locate my packages ( yes, more than one) dozen of times. If one is lucky to get a person, that person does not tell you that your package is lost or that they don't know where it is, they simply schedule delivery, you wait and then the delivery does not show up and they do not even bother to call you to tell you that you were taken for a fool to wait. They attempted delivery of a seriously destroyed 650lb container, the contents of which was obviously badly damaged. The driver himself recommended that I inspect the container as it was, in his words "pretty beaten up". This was putting it mildly.. There's only so many ways you can damage something this badly that is this heavy. You either dropped it with a forklift, or you put something very heavy on top of it. When I, obviously, refused the delivery, the driver allowed me no opportunity to list any reasons why the crate was refused, even though I asked. He said he'd take care of it.. It was one of those after the fact worrisome moments where I wondered if someone was trying to pull a fast one, and I'd just handed them the opportunity. Later, when I checked the delivery notice, he had noted down that I had refused delivery because "customer didn't want the package".. I called them the next day asking to amend the reason for not accepting delivery, as I was now going to have to request a replacement and that this wasn't nearly specific enough of a reason. They told me they would call me back when it arrived at the depot so I could amend it. They never did. If the company in question who sent the package hadn't been so understanding, this could have cost me thousands of dollars. Not only do you not seem to have anything setup to take note of damage, the confusion displayed when I wanted to was really odd. Seems to me that you only allow notation of damage if the package is accepted and signed for, and this is ass backwards. It's very likely that a damaged shipment will need to be refused with very specific reasons why. You displayed a sweeping array of ineptitude and lack of care across the board. On that very short west coast journey, someone destroyed thousands of dollars worth of equipment. The package continued it's transit regardless. You had nothing in place both during delivery for damage notation, and when I attempted to afterwards you had nothing in place then either. Such a pointlessly worrying and time wasting experience. Just switched my shipping to FedEX!! We're a business, A Hotel. going through renovations. I have a $13,000 order of furnishings ordered and scheduled to be here YESTERDAY! $900 paid for shipping. My tracking # says my order is half way here due for scheduled delivery By End Of Day Yesterday! no other updates. i now have a renovation crew here from another state ready to get to work and no materials!! now we're losing not only the rooms (lost revenue) given out to them for the work contract, the labor, and and the Shipping!! Had a delivery appointment set from 10am-4pm. I called at 3;30 to make sure the driver was coming and they told me that the driver was stuck on traffic and told me to wait around 5;30pm. I called at 6pm and they told me to wait a little bit more. But I had to call again at 7pm to find out that the driver wasn't going to come for the delivery and that the freight was already back to the terminal. I got charged $2,500 for that freight and all they being doing is playing with me all day. Every time I call, they tell me something different. I must say that I thought the black cloud of UPS LTL freight was only over my head. I had the same experiences as the other reviewers with the Seattle region of UPS LTL freight. First they call and strong arm you and tell you that you only have two business days to receive your delivery or be charged an additional fee. I can except that but the way they tell you is not acceptable. Then they give you a four hour window of delivery. I can except that. As others have stated do not believe them. I took off work to accept my delivery. They were not on time. They were not 1hr late. They were not 2hrs late. They were not 3hrs late. They did not deliver. I called four times. The first call they told me it was on its way. Second call it was one hour late. Third call it was 1-2hrs late. They hung up on me on this call. Fourth call I requested a supervisor. Dispatch supervisor "Mike" told me that the dispatchers were under paid and only made $11.00 and hour and that they were not paid enough to talk to irate people(me). Then he told me that "it is the trucking industry and that there are no guarantees ". When you read their site, guarantees are all you see. He would not talk to me or answer my questions. He told me that he was going to call me and tell me that my delivery had to be rescheduled. This was at 1915hrs. Seven hours of waiting. I had to rescheduled for two days later. Another missed day of work. Guess what. They missed the four hour window again. It came late. On top of that they had punched a 4x4.5 inch hole into a very large wooden crate that had fragile delicate equipment signs posted all over it. Yes they damaged the contents. Now I have to get another extremely expensive piece of gear built and sent to me. UPS of course will be and is responsible for the damage and debacle. Do not use them. Use another carrier. I have shipped 2 shipments using UPS Freight so far. The first shipment was lost and delivered 2 weeks late and was delivered the day after I called, so I'm not sure if it was actually lost..... just poor service. My second shipment was 2 pallets I need for a job we are working on. It was supposed to arrive Tuesday, on Tuesday I got a notification there was and "exception". I contacted them and they said there was a delay and they would deliver Wednesday which delayed my job. On Wednesday I got another exception notification. I called again and they said it would be delivered Thursday afternoon. I told them this wouldn't work, so I called the hub in Garland TX where my freight was. They told me they would have it ready for pick up this morning (Thursday) at 7am. My guys went to pick it up and they are telling them it's not ready and won't be until late this afternoon or tomorrow morning. Never been more frustrated with a service in my life!!! Still waiting on a resolution for freight that should have been delivered Tuesday!!! And to add insult to injury you have to listen to a UPS message the whole time your on hold about how great and on time UPS's delivery is. I'm going to have our company look at all other options in the future. At this point I would give UPS 0 stars and feel like pony express would have been more reliable Update: My guys were there to pick up at 7am like discussed with them yesterday because they were 2 days late on delivery. I was told the trailer wasn't unloaded, I called back and told them that I need to get my pallets today if all possible. I told them I would do whatever made it easiest on them if I could pick up today. He told me he would call me back. I called later only to be told that the trailer was in fact unloaded but they can't find my freight. So I'm still waiting for someone to call me back and I have a business with their floors ripped out waiting to get the flooring shipped via UPS. This should be a zero star review. I scheduled TWO different appointments, but didn't show up for either one. They originally lost the shipment, but never contacted me. I had to find out the day of when it didn't show up. So they found the shipment, but were an hour late from the third appointment I set, so the movers I had hired had already gone home for the day. 2,000 pounds worth of cabinets. I gave up and went home for the weekend. Come Monday morning, realized that 3 pallets were missing, and so was the packing slip. I am still sitting on hold with the main UPS number because I cannot get a hold of anyone at this branch. I have left multiple voicemails since Wednesday, but haven't heard a pep out of anyone who works there. I'm beginning to think it's a dummy branch and they actually don't have anyone on the payroll. read more

I wld give a 0 if I could. After changing my schedule, been waiting 1-5pm at home for the delivery which I made an APPOINTMENT for and they CONFIRMED!!!! DO THEY KNOW THE MEANING OF AN APPOINTMENT?!!!! I called their customer service at 2pm because I couldn't reach the dispatcher for a more approximate time. I was told that i just need to wait and the delivery will be made by 5pm. So I wait and they are no show at 5. I call the service line again(because again, nobody wld pick up at the dispatcher) and NOW they tell me that my package hasn't even gone out today!!!!! WTF! Why wasn't I told this at 2pm when they are looking at the same info on screen??? I am usually understanding. I mean traffic can be crazy around here but "not even on the truck"!!! And they couldn't make one little call to tell me that the appointment cannot be fulfilled today. UNBELIEVABLE. read more

I wish there were negative stars... UPS completely destroyed THREE, expensive, well packed items I shipped through them in December. I am baffled at how they did it. They either crushed these boxes (with notes all over them saying "this side up," "FRAGILE," and "DO NOT CRUSH") or they threw them with force to destroy the contents. I ordered a freezer it was delivered by ups freight I made an appointment for a thursday spent all day watching for them they never showed called they said they couldn't unload it so they didn't stop and if they delivered it again they would charge $95. if they never showed up the first time how could it be a redelivery?? Anyway made a new appointment they showed up this time left my freezer in the middle of the road and drove off I would not trust ups freight to deliver my dog house and it is cloth so if I could give them no stars that is what they would get read more

I have bad news for you. If you're reading this review, you're already screwed. Since few would ever seek out reviews of a freight location in a normal situation, chances are you already had a shipment arrive there and are now stuck in the Appointment-Disappointment purgatory described by the other reviewers. I got my package only after: - two appointments came and went; - a total of 2-3 hours on the phone with customer service or on hold; - driving across the bay to the facility and: - signing off on a pickup and getting told where to pick it up; - getting forgotten about; - going into the loading area, and luckily running into a manager; - tracking down the actual package with help of the manager, who unfortunately wasn't familiar with the package pickup procedure; - waiting a while for a worker to come drive the fork-lift 100 feet to my car. Before arriving, I had imagined some small office with 3 people running it and just slacking off or something. Instead, it's gigantic, chaotic and disorganized. There are countless big packages, hundreds of trucks and dozens of drivers. It has a distinct third-world country feel. Some kind of work is getting done, but a sense of hopelessness looms over the place, and as a result workers appear to be giving zero fucks. Fork lifts are driven like go-karts. Any ambitions I had about filing a formal complaint detailing how they must respect their customers' time went right out the window -- this is simply how they operate.
