HFS had my goods picked up in Auburn, CA and within a few days they were on their way across the ocean, arriving in a week! I had shipped my household goods back and forth to the mainland a few years ago, but I was blown away by the service and professionalism of HFS. I picked up my small shipment at Tri Isle in Wailuku and the excellent service continued. I used HFS for my move back to Oakland from Honolulu, and paid less than a THIRD of what I had w/ another company on the move out to HNL. Amazing!! And my stuff arrived faster to boot! HFS made it super, super easy. I just turned up on their loading dock with no reservation, some nice big dudes helped me tetris all my boxes together into one big block, I paid, and several weeks later they were forklifting it over to my car in California. Everything came through undamaged, and billing was just what I expected it to be. Great deal. Great service. Highly, highly recommend. I wish I'd known about them sooner! read more

I moved to Kauai in July 2014 and had to move back to the Bay April 2015. They did a great job getting my personal boxes, CK mattress, adjustable bases and headboard to and from Kauai. The people in the San Leandro location are great. They have nice Customer Service and are great at their follow up. The people in the Honolulu location are not as great with the customer service. The dock workers in Nawiliwili were super nice (with the exception of the gate workers. They were the rudest people I had ever come across on such a beautiful island), but not the office workers. The two young ladies who runs this office is TOP NOTCH, big mahalos to Sharr'on & Maureen.. I have to appreciate these women in logistics who assisted me with superior service. I walked in not knowing what to expect & paranoid that this being my 1st time using a freight forwarder to move my belongings which I'm unable to take on the plane with me. I came in & was instantly greeted right away if I was shipping to Hawaii or here for will call. I then filled out paperwork & loaded my pallet up. The gentleman on the forklift gave me pointers on how to load my pallet. He said treat it like a game of Tetris. Once completed, he wrapped it in clear shrink wrap so that my personal belongings can stay in tact. After I was finished, I walked back to the office & I was offered bottled water, coffee, hot cocoa or tea. I promise you, these ladies ROCK. They made me feel very comfortable the minute I walked in to this business, they're also located near their competitors but Honolulu Freight Service was the first business I walked into out of the 3 and I'm glad I picked this one 1st. They have such great hospitality, the establishment inside is clean & they're a very courteous customer service team. Sharr'on and Maureen was personable and extremely knowledgeable & professional as I waited in their reception area while they were multitasking with other duties on their computers & phone. After my freight was processed, I was given the final pricing and I was very much impressed. Believe me, I asked around and shopped for quotes & was expecting to pay a very large amount but NOPE once again HONOLULU FREIGHT made it happen for me. They gave me my tracking number, their agents phone number, ETA and the warehouse manager reassured me they will load this in a container right away cause I made the cutoff just in time. This business itself & the employees here was making the whole process of this transaction smooth... talk about A-1 service!! Had to send a looooong package 166 inches to Hawaii. Fed-Ex refused. UPS Freight wanted to charge me $800 Imagin that!!! I called Honolulu Freight Service. Super Freindly A+ staff. They picked up my package and it arrived in Honolulu Harbor 12 days later for $176.58 They called my mom and told her that they will bring the package to her house, but first wanted to know what day and time works best for her. Shipping a Vespa from San Francisco to Honolulu. We bought a Vespa Scooter from Vespa of San Francisco. Their price for the scooter was HALF of what the Harley/Vespa dealer in Honolulu wanted. But the trick was to find a freight company that could ship it for less than $1,000. We did find that FedEx will do it from the dealer to our house, for $738. But Honolulu Frieght Service will pick it up from the dealer and ship it to the port of honolulu for $527. Now THAT is awesome! Besides, we don't want to have to get rid of the crate from our house. So now we can leave the crate at the shipping company and bring my cute little pink Vespa home! Woo Hoo! LOVE Honolulu Freight Service! read more

To whom it may concern: I lived in HI on Oahu about 10 years ago. At that time I didn't know what to do when wanting to return to the mainland. The staff at their Sand Island HQ's was super friendly and helpful. They were also pretty kind and understanding about letting me store and accumulate a few pallets of my things there while I was packing up as quickly as I could. This inabled me to send all the pallets at the same time to the West Coast(SFO area) As I was trying to save money by moving the pallets to my new home, they were very kind again while I ferried them to my place about 250 miles north of their San Leandro warehouse. All items arrived intact and in great condition. I'm now thinking of moving back To the islands( can you believe it!) and would definatley use this company again. Overall the experience was excellent. Sai is awesome. Really, really nice guy. Since my items had irregular dimensions, he tried ~ and I am sure others who worked with him did too ~ tried to make it fit into a smaller dimension so that I didn't have to pay for more room that I had to. I appreciated that they wanted to make sure it was me they were talking to AND I felt alittle frustrated because there was a bit of miscommunication. Everything all worked out in the end.
