Finally getting around to writing this review! It takes a bit to get settled into a new home. Gladys and Ronnie were amazing! They really guided us through to the best flooring decision we could have ever made. Let me tell you, we had been shopping every where in town. We even went to the Home & Garden show here in Austin. The problem was either way too high of a price, or way to low of a quality product (meaning the reviews were bad on the product). Texbest Floors was right on in the middle. They beat the other guys quality who were charging the lowest per sqft (those floors won't last). They beat the other guys prices who were charging way too much for an average household's budget. We had also heard nightmares about projects starting and not getting completed on time or on budget. But not with these guys! They got our beautiful floors down just as we had arranged. Here's what happened: 1. They came to make measurements and talk to us. I can't thank them enough for this advice. For example, for our situation, we went with hard wood, glue down and I can honestly say I'll never consider floating laminate again! (but that's my opinion). They also added a little section of tile at the back door, since the previous flooring was showing warping because of the pool in our backyard. That was an awesome call, keeps that moisture off the floor. 2. The workers were very friendly and very professional. For the price I was impressed. These guys really worked hard to make sure the floor went down flush. They also took the time to make sure the subfloor was properly prepared as well. And game us tips along the way. 3. They delivered on time and on budget. The workers even came by to make sure everything was cleaned up off the floor. 4. It's been several months and are floors are still looking brand new. We just completed a major remodel project with Glades and her capable crew. This was a top to bottom home remodel, encompassing kitchen upgrade, 3 bathroom remodels, paint, flooring, and so much more. Glades is a whirlwind of activities, with the greatest decor sense for modern style remodeling. The project was completed on time, on budget. In a month's time, and with no fewer than 10 people working simultaneously throughout the project, Texbest utterly transformed a dated, almost-rundown home, into a spectacular modern showcase. We recently had wood floors installed in the downstairs of our home. Gladys + team were incredible from start to finish. We previously had carpet and laminate flooring. Here are the reasons I am giving them 5 stars. 1 - Their team of installers was AMAZING. They were able to remove all of the carpet and laminate, level the floor, install the wood flooring, base boards and toe molds in ONE DAY. Not only did they do amazing work, they left the house and outside work area impeccably clean when they were finished. 2 - They charged us exactly what was quoted. 3 - Gladys was checking in regularly. She was helpful, informative and easy to get in touch with when we had questions. She walked us through the whole process and everything was completed as promised. Both Glades and Ronny showed us the options and gave us the pros and cons of the different type of flooring and actually did not sell the most expensive option, they explained why a less expensive one was as good and we were thrilled with the savings !!! Very honest and nice people. Our building was delayed in construction and Glades was nice enough to wait for us and store our flooring until it was the right time to install. Terrible business...first was told it would be $3.25 per square foot and would be here on Monday. Did not make it on Monday and then on Tuesday the price went to $4.54 per square foot and they could not accept a credit/ATM card. Do not do business with these people, the girl has to call her mom to do anything and the mom doesn't answer her phone..very annoying!! read more

We, thankfully, chose Texbest Floors, and couldn't be happier with the end result and the customer service. I have to say I had a nice purchase experience with TexBest with Tresia. She was a nice lady helping me to pick up the suitable tiles. However after I placed the order, Tresia sent me pickup address from their supplier's warehouse (Dal Tile). She told me the tiles needs to transfer from Dallas to Austin. My contractor needs to arrange a trailer to pickup the tiles. The customer service from Dal Tile made him wait for 2+ hours for them to do paper works to declare the tiles. After pickup the tiles, my contractor found out there are 5 boxes of tiles that are broken. So I called TexBest to request tiles replacement. Due to the long hours wait at Dal Tile, I requested TextBest to pickup the tiles and deliver to my house as I'm purchasing the tiles from TextBest, not Dal Tile. They rejected and told me this is not their responsibility. Now my contractor needs to charge me extra to pickup the tiles again. Not to mention their attitude changed from nice to rude and defensive. Dal Tile is located at South Austin and our house is in Round Rock, while TexBest is at Northwest. It will waste 2+hours waiting time at Dal Tile plus round trip driving time to pickup the tiles. If my contractor needs to pickup the tiles himself, not just about extra cost but also wasting 4+ hours of his time, which means it will delay the renovation work in my house. I think this is a basic customer service, just like you purchase something from Amazon and if they're damaged, you return them to Amazon and they arrange the replacement, instead of giving you their supplier details and let you deal with their supplier direct. If you decided to purchase tiles from TexBest, make sure to QC them at their supplier's warehouse. They might have a better customer service if you hire them to do the renovation work but not just purchase tile from them. read more

When we purchased our home, they had recently put in beautiful hardwood floors in part of the house. We decided to carry the floors into the master bedroom (among other renovations), and reached out to the previous owners so we could get the same floors. They directed us to Texbest. Glades came out to the house to measure and quite frankly, was very rude. She told me multiple times that we shouldn't do some of the renovations we were planning to do; I finally had to tell her the decision was already made to get her to drop it. She even went as far as insulting the way I parent my young children. I was quite irritated by the time she left and could not wait for her to get out of my home. Before she left, she worked up a quote and I requested that she email it me so my husband and I could review it together. We never received it. My husband (who is a project manager for a general contractor) reached out to her multiple times to order the flooring, and she would always say "I'll email the invoice to you" and he would never get it. He finally drove out to the store to order them as we needed them within 2 days, and again, she told him "I'll send you the invoice & the floors will be there Monday." Which again, he never received the invoice. When I reached out to her to ask for the invoice later that day, she then told me that the floors would not be delivered until Wednesday. This put the rest of our renovations behind schedule and was extremely frustrating since we'd been trying to order the floors for over a week at this point. Every communication my husband and I had with her she was rude; and for my husband to mention it means it was really bad. If we hadn't been in such a rush to get the floors, we would not have used them at all and would have searched to the ends of the earth to find the floors from someone else. But we definitely will go out of our way to never use them again. read more

Texbest Floors is absolutely amazing. I will try and keep this short so just know I have had this company (Gladys and Rony) complete several remodeling jobs in our home. I have probably spend well over 60K in the past few years but I know if I would have went with other companies I would have paid well over 100K. They have done my entire floors, completely gutted and rebuilt or bathroom removing the tub and making a beautiful shower. The redid our cabinets in the kitchen as well as resurfaced all of our counters. They have made changes to baseboards, archways and even done a handful of handman type jobs like fixing leaks in the ceiling or installing ceiling fans or light fixtures. What is more amazing is what they most recently have done for us. I have always wanted to convert our upstairs game room into a media room. It's rather large 19x19. It used to be a place where our kids hung out through middle and high school. We finally made the call and I started working with Best Buy's Magnolia center for the electronics side. The other part which was going to be huge was how do we want it to look up there? We really only had a few ideas from YouTube. I knew I wanted lots of colored lights and we were hoping to have some type of bar. Other than that we really had no vision. We thought about using Texbest but we also thought they are more about floors, cabinets and kitchen and bathroom remodels. So I at first was not going to call Gladys and Rony. Thank god I changed my mind and called them. I thought at least let them come over and tell me what they think. They will probably tell me I am right I should call a company that does media rooms only. They came over and all I can tell you is WOW! Gladys and Rony both had ideas for what we could do and they were amazing right off the bat. They had ideas for how to get the lights on the ceiling and build custom baseboards with lights hidden in those. The had a great idea for our bar, the walls. They actually completely redid the entire room every square inch. They built custom barn door to close the door off and matching shudders to cover the open window that looks down onto our 1st floor. The work is all perfectly done. We are amazed at how great this room looks and feels. I know now no matter what the project is around the house I will never not call Gladys and Rony first and never assume a job is too big or specialized for them to consult on. Oh, forgot to mention the other reason you would want to have this company hired for your projects. Gladys is literally at the project almost every single day ensuring that all of her crew is on top of their work. Same with Rony. They come every day are always on time and work very cleanly. Extremely poor service. Their work was decent. Not great but not terrible. Their prices were actually really good but very sloppy finishing. I'd rather pay a little more for a complete job than the half assed finish I received. Glades completely could care less and that was the most infuriating part if the experience. Honestly the work was so close to being good but they could care less if you are satisfied or if the job was done to your liking.
