Service calls are non-existing. Internet access is just as bad. A fiber optic cable was recently cut and customers were not notified as to why the internet was down. Communication with the customer does not exist. read more

I have had Tx Wireless for 5 years now and wish I had another option. the billing system sucks and you can't ever get anyone on the phone when you call. Most of the time you can't get on the internet or you get knocked off. I also have hard time getting emails cause the server is down almost all the time. I have taken my computer in tohave it checked out thinking it was that but only to be told it was my provider. I don't get regular bills and my nieghbors complain about that also. Found out that there is only the owner and maybe one other person I think that does the billing? Maybe they need to hire more people to help and keep things running? read more

The only down fall to living away from town is the limitations on internet service providers and this company knows that your choices are limited to so if you dont like our service then go somewhere else. Over the course of the last couple of years we have been a customer of tx wireless. We usually go about 2 or 3 months with acceptable service then for no reason the service will go to crap. The worst thing is not the loss of service but the lack of customer service when there is a problem. This time we have had sub standard service(currently download speed is .29mb) for going on 3 days. Over the course of the 3 days I have called them 4 times only to get a recording stating how important my call is to them and please leave your name and number, we will promptly return your call. As of this writing (going onto day 4) have not heard from any one at Texas Wireless Internet. In all fairness I may not be any better off with a different provider and the only reason I haven't moved on before now is that any company I choose will require a non refundable installation fee plus a 2 year contract to find out. I would cancel today if there were a better alternative...really it's not much better than the dial-up that used to be the only service available. Click....wait....click...wait...click...you get the picture. I'm just lucky I never chose to try and upgrade my service to try for faster transmission speeds. Otherwise I would just be paying more money for the exact same crappy service. I have the 1Mbps plan but I might get 1Mb in the initial burst but it quickly drops to .25 regularly. Don't even think about streaming video...even some MS updates take hours. The worst part? They lie about the poor service "we don't see any problems on our end" and truly don't even care. read more

As the only available service at my house in Wimberley, we were willing to give them a chance. Had several appointments for the install. The first time they never showed up, the 2nd time they showed up but couldn't install because they didn't have the correct equipment, the 3rd time they didn't show up and the final appointment, they didn't show up. They never return calls and their customer service is terrible. We do not recommend this company. read more

I made an appointment with Texas Wireless to install internet service at my home in Blanco in mid-November 2015. I was told that they would have to come and do a site inspection to make sure that my location would be viable, and if it was, they would install the internet service at that time. The gentleman that I talked to said that from what he was looking at, he did not think it would be a problem. The earliest they could come to my residence was January 14 (basically 8 weeks from when I called to make the appointment). Reluctantly, I agreed to this date. A few days before the 14th, they called to say that they had to move my appointment because they were so backed up. I was very disappointed, because I had already been two months without internet service waiting for them, but we then agreed they would come on January 18th between 1 and 5 pm. We waited patiently, and no one every showed up or called. I called three times on the 18th and left messages, but no one ever called me back. The next morning, I called again and someone actually answered the phone. She said they had determined that they could not provide internet service at my location. I asked how they determined that since no one came to my house, and she said they could tell just by looking at Google Earth. I asked if they planned to call me and let me know, and I did not get an answer. Couldn't they have looked at Google Earth back in November and told me then that they could not help me??????? I was very upset and angry. I called Hughes Net that day, and they came installed internet the very next day. I would say when you try to get Texas Wireless you will put up with very poor customer service and who knows how it is after you actually get the service. read more

We have been TWI users for around 7 or more years ONLY because there is currently no other provider in our area without going to satellite,fiber optic is as close as a mile from us but has not made it here yet,(rr 32 and rr 12) ,the service sucks to say the least with slower than dial up speeds,and although I would have to say it appears they are trying to improve our service or so we are told I find it hard to believe seeing that I have had to call so many times I have lost count,in the past 2 and a half years alone at least 3 or 4 times a week most calls go unanswered,we have had service ppl out and have been told so many reasons for the lack of service I just dont know what to believe anymore,we go through all the checks and even as others have, replaced our router to the one they recommended and it got much worse instead of better as we home school we relay on that connection alot and as I said we have had them out and they raised the tower .lowered the tower replaced the radio changed the direction,after each time the service improves for a short time a few days to a week then back to the same lousy service with off and on internet at best,yet we still get charged the same whether we have internet of not ,after reading some of the reviews I now realize its not just us and seems to be the norm for this service provider,you would think if its a time warner company that someone higher up would get involved and address some if not all of the complaints as there seem to be more unsatisfied customers than satisfied ones,If there was another good option in our area that didnt cost so much we would have left TWI and the despicable service in the dust years ago,all I can say is it does not look good for a so called giant provider like time warner to have so many bad reviews.I would NOT advise anyone to pay for something as bad as this is.customer service is certainly not a priority with this provider. read more
