I came to return my Internet equipment because I upgraded my wifi service, I brought all the old equipment in the original box that was sent to me by Spectrum. The lady at the counter told me that they were full and couldn't take their box nor the chargers of the equipment or the cables and it was my responsibility to dispose of them. Twice in under 5 years they cannot solve no internet. So they send a new router and new WiFi. Then the customer has to pick it up and return it - or they deliver in 3-5 days and you have to figure out how to get it returned. Let's talk about the store. Two people - not much traffic. One guy checks someone in with same box of "not working" equipment and lady checks me in. She also says they have no room for another box and I said I don't either. So she TELLS me I can take it to trash But her counterpart took the other box - let's talk lazy and poor customer service. The closet they are placing all returned WiFi's and routers in is FULL and he is trying to convince me that ATT is so less than Spectrum. It was a joke. The poor service in the store is equal to the crap service with their Internet. Awful. read more

Spectrum's service as a whole hasn't been ideal over the years. But we dealt with it. Today we were finally moving out of state and thus needed to cancel. We tried doing it online, but got told we couldn't. So we tried doing it over the phone, but got told we couldn't. So today as a last resort, we went in person to this location to return our equipment and cancel the service. Three guesses what we got told. That's right, we can't cancel our service OR return the equipment. They say it's because the service is still in another family member's name, so only that person can cancel. Even though we TRANSFERRED the account three years ago to our name. The fuckers honestly just want to keep the account open and stealing our money for service we aren't getting. The employee was really unhelpful. I know he could have resolved this for us, but he just didn't want to. He is a bad employee. His name is Shawn. I was a spectrum customer for one year. I enjoyed your broadband connection with 500 Mb Internet service and then after one year you raised it from $40 to 55. I called in and spoke with a representative and asked if you could do any better on the pricing after the promotional period. The gentleman told me I was getting an excellent value that he couldn't do anything for me. So I switched over to T-Mobile because I'm a wireless customer with T-Mobile and I'm picking up a $30 a month Internet service which I thought was a great value. I get one month free and $100 gift card. When it came time to call you guys back for disconnection the lady offered me $20 a month. At this point it was the principal behind it if the gentleman the three nights prior would have offer me a better deal Or suggested that he transferred the call over to somebody that could handle But he didn't why would I continue to be a customer with you folks you need to be on the same page. Any looking at artificial intelligence it's not uncommon for you guys to raise these rates without even letting anybody know. To me that's not good customer service. You lost me. read more

Spectrum scammed me. They stole $900 from me and did not compensate me. They did not reimburse me, they did not make it right. The Indian sounding team lead that i spoke to just laughed and said "oh well we are keeping your money now get off the phone". Disgusting company. Every time I turn around they are offering new customers a better deal than what their existing customers have.!! They will not match the deals for their existing customers so It seems they do not care about customer retention. Can not recommend them for TV or internet. Not sure about cell service as I do not have them for that. But it's probably the same situation. read more

I'm genuinely impressed I didn't know it was possible to be this incompetent. All I wanted was a router I spent half my day in that god forsaken store and left empty handed. I'm convinced the workers are talking furniture cause if you ask them to do anything they just tell you to call spectrum support. First they tell me they can't set up an account I need to call spectrum support. So I call the number and they tell me I can't set up my account because the last person living in my apartment didn't cancel their plan so I gotta show them my lease to prove who I am. I should've known then I was cooked. Left for a dentist appointment and came back with the lease showed the people at the store and once again got redirected to support. Spent 45 minutes on the phone with a dude who would not try to stop selling me a phone plan, D3 gaslighter at best, who I'm convinced is that sloth receptionist from zootopia cause god damn I've never heard anyone in my life talk that slow. Then I waited another 30 minutes just to be told that I needed to call back spectrum support because the router wasn't set to be picked up in store. Like can you genuinely not do that yourself? Do you need spectrum support to fuck your wife to? So I call spectrum support and my phone fucking dies, shit was at 80% when I originally got there. I would've emptied my wallet if I could just get my god damn router and leave. I get the whole idea is to get customers on a call to try to sell them more shit but y'all are unimaginably shit at selling shit. read more

I called the Kyle, TX store yesterday to schedule a line to be added to my house in Lockhart. The person on the phone quoted me an appointment time of 2pm today, and said the technician would call or text within 15 minutes of arrival. Then the confirmation text I received said my appointment was between 2-3pm. I thought, okay, not a big deal. At 3:30, I hadn't heard from anyone so I called the store. They said they would expedite my service order and I'd receive a call from a technician with an ETA. At 4:30, I still hadn't heard from anyone, so I called back to the store again, was transferred to a dispatcher, and was told it would be another hour before they could make it. I said to go ahead and cancel my order, as I had already been waiting all afternoon and had canceled other plans to wait for them. The guy said "yes ma'am," and hung up on me! Just, *click* Whenever Spectrum service people went to my previous place in Austin, they were helpful and had no issues. My experience this time around has been a big waste of my day off. The second representative that I spoke with said, "yes, I can see here that we have an email that the technician is delayed." I was like, "why didn't anyone notify ME of that?" They have no respect for your time and an appointment means nothing. read more

Store is nice, with reasonable and comfortable waiting areas. And the staff is reasonably pleasant, patient, and efficient, with short service wait times. But we're nearing the end of the road in this 35 year love affair. Their cable TV and internet offers sucker rates to start, but even for standard cable service with a standard cable box (no DVR, no premium services), my internet + cable bill had crept up to just south of $200. I had actually dropped one or two add-on packages and downgraded service levels just to get to that price. Of course, unlike their predecessor, Time Warner Cable, retention is worthless when it comes to negotiation. To quote Inigo Montoya, "You Keep Using That Word, I Do Not Think It Means What You Think It Means". If you're going in to return equipment--especially if you're downgrading service--beware of something they WON'T tell you. If you're mid billing cycle, even one day into the next cycle, you're screwed. There is no such thing as pro rata billing at Spectrum. You might as well keep your equipment until the end of the billing period. Oh, but they will discontinue your streaming service, even thought it's paid for. Which means you can't use internet streaming partners like CNN that are embedded in their cable TV service even you're still paying for it. Bunch of thieves. I saw people in the store contemplating cell phone purchases and plans. I felt sorry for them. They'll find out quickly once the honeymoon is over. Stealing from customers. Corporate rape. With all the impunity Dewey, Cheatham, and Howe and their fabulous shrink wrap agreements can muster. Just another great reason why I'll be eliminating these idiots completely from my digital life--and soon. Literally the WORST internet provider. They are the only provider for Kyle and Buda, and I can't wait for them to have some competition. After setting up an appointment for my new house, I was stood up, and did not receive a phone call. After waiting 3 hours, I reached out to reschedule, and I was stood up again. I have spent countless hours on the phone and was given zero information or solutions. They also added tv service without my consent, just to charge me. There's nothing better than waking up to no Wi-Fi and being called a liar. I took the time and sat on hold for over 20 minutes to speak to someone that could hopefully help me figure out what is going on with my Wi-Fi. I got a woman that spoke broken English and was very difficult to understand. I tried explaining what was going on and was told repeatedly that I did not have Wi-Fi thru spectrum only thru my router. I have had Wi-Fi with spectrum for over 4 years. 3 networks in the house. 1 from spectrum and 2 from my router. How do I know this, they all have separate names, duh!! Well, one of the networks has just disappeared. I have tried numerous ways to locate it and spent ridiculous amounts of time on the phone. This morning, I was all but call a liar by this woman. She said I've never had Wi-Fi with spectrum, only thru my router. Spectrum set up the network that is now gone missing. Wasted time! Wasted money! Just keep raising everyone's bill but your service SUCKS! Get people in your technical service department that speak clear ENGLISH!! And can communicate by listening as well. Dammit that's frustrating. And the fact that my issue is still NOT resolved is insane! Thank goodness google fiber and AT&T are making their way out here. Lord knows spectrum needs the competition. Do not use them unless you want your internet to go out. This company is always having outages. Yesterday made me very upset with them. I waited all week to watch the Kanye West and Drake live stream concert and stayed up hours later to watch the concert. As soon as Drake was about to perform (Who's my favorite artist.) The internet shut down and never came back. I had to call them and wait 40 minutes just for them to tell me there's an outage in the area. This ruin my whole week because I waited all week to watch this, and even sacrifice my sleep with having to work the next morning. On top of all of this, there's no recap video of the show, so I stayed up for nothing. read more

This company which took over from time warner cable is a money grabbing screw the customer type of comp which is springing up all over the country when big corporations buy up small entities and control the market .there is no alternative to internet where i live its spectrum of nothing al least 3 price increases in the few years since they have owned the market and all discounts which where said to be permanent have been discontinued as soon as the take over was established . they advertised a new faster service and the price was only $49.99 pm which is a lot less than what we pay now for a snail speed service . when asking to be connected to the new faster mode i was told the special rate only applies if you package it with tv service. on its own it will cost you $64 per month but they cheerfully exclaimed we dont charge anymore for the modem .. since the price is more than i pay now it does not matter what you itemize the cost to be.. i paid $33 pm when it was owed by TWC in 3 years its increased almost !00%for the same or worse crappy service Cant wait for a competitor to set up service here in kyle ill sign up in the blink of the eye . read more

Spectrum never canceled my service last month even though I called to have it canceled. I'm having to pay an additional bill on internet that hasn't been used due to moving residences. The guy I was on the phone with for 30+ minutes February 21st literally just sat around wasting my time and my money. I never want anything to do with this internet company again and I advise against others using it in the future. 96$ is a lot of money for internet services that nobody had the ability or access to use. read more

Internet never works. Terrible customer service. I recently moved business locations and Spectrum has taken over this area. ONLY spectrum can be purchased here. After being hassled for months about signing up, they had a tech come out to install internet WITHOUT my consent! After finding out no other internet could be purchased, I had no choice but to have them install. It's been almost a year and the internet NEVER works. Techs have been out and only temporarily fixes things. I've lost hours upon hours of my time and hundreds if not thousands of dollars from all the inconveniences. The last tech scheduled to come out called and hour and a half late and expected me to come back at 8:30pm to let him in. I highly suggest saving yourself the money and stress that "spectrum business" will provide you. read more

If I had any other choice I would not have them. I am paying for the higher speed so I will be able to work. They charged me the 50.00 instillation fee twice, so I called to get the overage removed and was told it would be on the next billing cycle. I did not pay the second charge, it was not removed from my bill, I am getting calls threatening disconnection plus they added a 9.00 late fee. I call again and speak with a supervisor just to be told that they have a limit on how much they can refund in a day. These are not short calls and I have spent MANY hours dealing with their mistake that they can't (won't) correct. This is with the first month of service. We have had issues with Spectrum for several years and we call them each time. Someone comes out and tells us the issue is fixed. Each time we have to go through the same thing again. Going to give them one more chance then we are going to cancel cable. It's a shame that you pay high prices and get sorry service. We now will have to go with something else. The lowest ratings are spot on... this is a terrible internet/cable company. Unfortunately I gave my personal cell number to a salesperson when I was working with Lockhart ISD. My number is still connected as the main contact for the district. I don't even live in the state of Texas! Lockhart ISD is wonderful and I am sad when a technician or someone from Spectrum reaches out to me or leaves a voicemail about a campus issue. Sometimes they need someone to meet them at a campus on a Saturday. What am i supposed to do with that? I thought I blocked the Spectrum number. I mean it has been almost a decade of incorrect contact! I have contacted Spectrum so many times to get my name and number removed from their account. They are unable to do this because I guess that they are just incompetent. I just got another text today about some sort of outage. If you have any other option please know that you should go with anyone else but Spectrum Business. read more
