In all honesty, just the name "Texas Winos" should've raised enough suspicion in my head about something not being right. And right after I let them eat my money up, I found out right away that I couldn't have been more correct. No communication with the owner or anyone before or after, if it just so happens that the event gets canceled or rushed because of some unforseen circumstances, don't expect or even hope for any refund. My friend and I called a combined total of 15 times at least, mind you I'm not even sure how she found this place to begin with; and we've both emailed the "owner" at least 5 different times still with no response. She was charged 3 different times for the same event that day, and my friend's friend missed the tour altogether and I'm only hoping she has better luck than I with even getting in contact with anyone, and the two of us, my friend and I, were lucky enough we even made the tour because the guide was ready to leave us behind. Fun fact: when we arrived at the meeting location to hop on the tour bus, they didn't even check us in, indicating that you could possibly get a "free tour" if you're lucky enough. Oh, and tell me why while we were on the bus, the guide who was giving out the wrist bands "skipped" or "forgot" about us and we literally had to ask for our wristbands as if to suggest that we were just a couple of free-riders or stowaways that hitchhiked a ride with a random driver like an inmate who escaped from prison. Plus the food served at one of the wineries contributed to me having 1st degree diarrhea that entire day, and they substituted some wineries for others because they were apparently "behind schedule". You know what I say about shady companies like this one: easy money, easy results. Save your money, save your time, save your appetites, and save yourselves; and just to throw this in there, don't rely on a driver who's hauling ass trying to keep pace with a tour guide who's also hauling ass because the driver may likely crash, as that almost happened to my tour driver. It's better if the people do their own wine tours individually, that way you don't have to worry about being left behind by a tour guide, and this company is a perfect case-in-point of the growing lack of trustworthiness and professionalism in companies and owners alike throughout this country. Completely untrustworthy, unreliable, unprofessional, and this type of "business" is inexcusable. Block all of their contact information from your cellphones permanently and don't give this company a penny, not even a penny for their thoughts if you know what's good for you. read more

I have too many words for the tour: Phenomenal, amazing, fun, fantastic, and so on. I originally purchased the tour for myself and my best friend for her birthday for Celina to McKinney. Less than 48 hours before the tour I was contacted about some changes and given the option to cancel and pick another tour or join with the Fort Worth group and go to Granbury. We decided to go anyway and even with the last minute changes it could not have turned out better. Our guide Oliver was awesome! He is patient, kind, and fun and did great at facilitating an enjoyable time for us all. Big kudos as well to our driver Allen, he was also nice and a great driver and he was grooving right along with us! I really believe that the group we were with made the difference and Oliver was super attentive in making sure that every one enjoyed themselves. His wide choice of music especially made for good times and great laughs. Many times you read what a company claims to do on their website but you guys actually delivered! I left with new friends even from different states and yes we were singing and dancing on the bus by the tour's end! I would have thought things would wind down but Oliver kept it high energy and made it a blast all the way back to our drop offs. I enjoyed the wineries that were chosen and Barking Dog was definitely my favorite because of the one-on-one time with the winemakers. Texas Winos truly delivers on the goal of providing a fun and different approach to learning about wines while letting your hair down. If you decide to go on this tour please keep an open mind and enjoy yourself. If you are looking for a stuffy experience then this is not the tour for you! Thank you again for the most amazing day. This is going on top as one of the best days of my life! FYI, bring light snacks to tide you over in between because it really does help you pace yourself. My girlfriend and I love these wine tours! We love learning about the Texas Wine Heritage in Fredericksburg. We have gone on 2 wine tours with Richards group, and each time thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The first trip, we did 3 wine stops along 290 and had lunch Wood Rose Winery, and they paired their wines with their foods. This last one was an all day trip, we left at 10:30 and was back in North Austin at 8pm. We also did the Wood Rose Winery, but my favorite was Fat Ass Winery, that was a fun place and really enjoyed their wines. Chris was our tour guide and he was fun, told a few jokes and also some history of the wineries we would be visiting. We met a few ladies and had fun visiting with them as well. Had an hour to shop in Fredericksburg, so was able to get a few unique Christmas gifts, was definitely a full day and well worth the money. We love trying the different wines and each time bought several bottles of wine to enjoy with family. I would like to mention the bus here, as I see the complaints. I can vouch that the 2 bus tours we did, the bus was a chartered bus and was quite comfortable. Chris had a big trash bag at the front of the bus and encouraged us to use it. The chargers were not working, but the folks were able to use plugs at the places we stopped at. I did not have any issues and really had a nice time. It's was my 30th Birthday. I also wanted to go out to the Texas Hill Country; for scenery an the WINE of course.. I saw the Texas Winos advertised on Facebook; read though the info an thought this was perfect!!! I bought the tickets on the site and picked a event... than I was concern about the liquor fee so I called... They where very helpful and said I had nothing to worry about because I purchased my tickets on their site not Groupon. Two days before the event I got an email saying it was cancelled but I could book another event for the same day or another day... I was a little disappointed but i went with another event the same day. The day of the trip bring snacks, water, and CASH!!! Also extra wine or beer to enjoy on the bus ride. The wine tasting where nice the place had like 6 samples and education about wine. After you could purchase others to try for a small fee. Next place we ate lunch an had 4 tastings.. Than went to luckenbach for live music, take pictures, bar, food for purchase if you still hungry CASH ONLY.... Last stop was great had 5 samples but the lady was so nice and it was my birthday she gave extra samples!!!! My friends and I had an AWESOME time... the other people where friendly and cool to talk to on the bus plus the music was cool.... On the way back they play sing along and dance music!!! Everybody feeling good from all the wine an enjoying themselves... I will definitely go again!!! read more

Wino Fest was a wonderful surprise! We were unexpectedly gifted free tickets to this event, and we absolutely loved the experience. If you're a fan of wine like my sister and me, you'll enjoy it here. We couldn't leave without grabbing two bottles of the delicious Wine Infused Coffee we chose their two bottles of Caramel Pecan and Almond Joy. Vinovium offered three wines to taste, and we honestly enjoyed them all! It was tough to choose just one, but we ended up going with our favorite: Sangue Di Giuda, so good! Florvino was another standout. If you love wine but want to avoid the heavy feeling afterward, and you appreciate floral flavors, this is the perfect brand. They had five wines to sample, and each of us loved a different one! Dande (a dandelion-based wine) and Glory (with jasmine and hibiscus) were unique and flavorful, but in the end, we chose the Peaches wine to take home. The festival also featured a great selection of other vendors--offering everything from food to handmade jewelry. We treated ourselves to a shea body butter cream from Nevaeh's Bath and Beauty in the scent Love & Sunshine has such lovely scent! Also we couldn't resist buying some locally made jerky (so tasty!) as a Father's Day gift for our dad. Overall, this was such a fun and flavorful event. Highly recommend checking it out if you get the chance! Look forward to going again next month! read more

We have attended 2. Wouldve been 3 but I misread the dates on the one in our hometown. Great way to get out and find different areas we wouldve never explored. San Antonio's parking was a beast, but my small car took care of that. Ample parking in Temple/Belton and spaced out and had AC. We noticed less wineries at this past weekend's, but we still had a great time at a nice venue/location! A list of confirmed vendors might be a comfort for future attendees. My mother thoroughly enjoyed her purchases. We were able to sample lotions, and chocolates, and jerky and even bacon, as well. We saw some faves from San Antonio and were able to replenish out fave wines, and grab some we didnt before. It was great. I wish the local winery Dancing Bee was in attendance, with their meads, or even Valley Mills bc Ive never tried them. The live music of Mr. Rozell was great all around, but the relaxing wine needed the uptempos to not get too relaxed. The Jones' food truck was tasty per usual. They are a Killeen staple. It would be nice to have other food types as well. The tasting is an excellent price and very smart to charge in that way. Like Germany and its fests, if you charge less for entry they are likely to pay more. We definitely purchase more, but its a treat to try the wines before purchase. Richard was very helpful at the beginning of planning our tour. After one of their drivers got sick or injured, he canceled our tour. This event was for my brother's birthday which he drove from Houston to attend. He sent an email to my brother ONLY, to inform him that our event was canceled. We had to reach out to Richard so that he could inform us of the cancellation and refund request. In the email that he sent to my brother, he gave us the offer to request a refund. We all requested a refund only 2 of us, my brother and I, received it after sending several emails to Richard. The event was scheduled for March 30, 2024, and we didn't get our refund until almost 2 weeks later. Five more guests are waiting on their refund and today is 4/20/24. Richard had no problems emailing us about the event but when it came down to refunding our tickets.....crickets. He's avoiding us and doesn't want to give the remaining group their refund. His excuse is that one of their workers was down and we should have compassion and not request a refund. That's BS. We deserve our refund so give us our refund. I will continue to write a review until Texaswinos give us all a refund. read more

I recently had the pleasure of attending Winofest in San Antonio, and it was an absolute delight! The festival features a wide variety of vendors offering samples of their finest Texas wines. Whether you're a seasoned wine connoisseur or just looking to enjoy a fun evening out, there's something for everyone. One of the highlights was the opportunity to purchase glasses of sangria and various wines while exploring the festival. The food vendors were also a great addition, offering small bites. If you're planning to attend around 6:00 PM, you might want to have dinner beforehand or enjoy the small bites there and then have a meal later. The vendors were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience even more enjoyable. The wine tastings took place inside, providing a comfortable environment, while outdoor seating allowed for a relaxed atmosphere to savor your selections. Overall, Winofest was a fantastic experience, perfect for an evening out or a memorable date night. I still haven't been there. Unacceptable day! I coordinated 13 ladies for this tour. Three from Dallas and two from Missouri drove into town for this event. This was my birthday event. The bus never showed up. The coordinator never addressed our group until we flagged him down. I've requested refunds from the three tickets that I personally purchased for the Luckenbach Wine Tour. I still have not heard back a response in regards to my refund request. WE want full refunds. We scheduled hotel rooms, babysitters and took off work for this event. This is a complete debacle. read more

My wife, Lynn and I (Brian) found Texas Winos on Amazon Local and got it for a great price. We did not know what to expect, but it was all and more than we could have ever expected. It was fantastic! The people on the tour were so much fun...we had a group from Dell (Amanda organized it) and another group of ladies celebrating a couple of birthdays in their group. Everyone had a blast and Richard and Kate made sure everyone was happy and enjoyed themselves. We had mimosa and sangria on the way to the vineyards and traveling in between the three vineyards we visited. The big hit was the grape stomping at the Becker Vineyard. Great photo opportunity and souvenir t-shirt with your foot prints on them. The wines we sampled were all really nice wines. It was a good opportunity to purchase some local Texas winery wines. Thank you Richard and Kate for such a fabulous time. We are definitely going to recommend this to all of our friends and family. Lynn and I are looking forward to participating on some of the other events on Richard's web site. Cheers! read more
