Found all their documents in our dumpster going back for 8 years so I called them. Spoke to a woman who said they no longer have an office. Called back and spoke with the owner and he told me he doesn't know how all his documents (thousands of documents) got in our dumpster along with mattresses and household items got in our dumpster but it is our problem now and hung up. So if anyone used this company just remember I have your information and you aren't getting security. I will add photos once the police finish their work read more

I called this company to install my system after talking with a number of companies about which system I wanted and the pricing. The sales guy Greg was great for the sales, but the install fell short on what I needed since wired sensors could be done due to my house design and this is where things fall apart. 1. The price is higher than normal but they have installers and office people to support, so it is what it is if your getting the service. 2. I got the tail light warranty, it seems after they take off and had an existing system you may be on your own since it was a pre existing condition. 3. I asked for dual detect motion sensors and when the wired ones couldn't be put in I asked for wireless and had to do all the legwork. I was told they ordered them but a week or more out, I called and was told the sensors were out of stock even those a number of websites and even ebay had them so I ordered 2 of them and had them in a few days. They sent out a tech to install them, but I was also charged a 90.00 fee, since I used my own equipment ? Really !! 4, The sales guy Greg no longer returned my phone calls, I asked about a automation item I got and how to add it to the system and he said he look into it and then nothing, even after a number of calls ZERO. so I wrote the main office and they took care of it, just ticked me off I wasted weeks dealing with a epic tail lighter sales guy. My suggestion is shop around and if you do get a system from this place, check the pricing of the items and make sure you understand the warranty and contract of the system and the support you will be given, otherwise time will tell if they turn things around and I update my review. Short explanation for one star review: Poor customer service when canceling contract. I have been charged for three months of a contract I had canceled in Feb 2020 after completing a 3-year contract. After numerous emails and phone calls with "customer service", I received no help and felt no sense of urgency from the company. One of the worst, least responsive vendors I have ever worked with. We notified them we wanted to cancel due to NUMEROUS service issues, and they then renewed our contract after we had already asked to cancel. They then wanted to refuse to let us out of the contract. When I finally escalated enough they agreed to cancel the contract, but they have without fail charged my credit card every month for the last 6 months since then. I have disputed every charge successfully with my credit card. I finally emailed them a month ago to remind them that I was still being charged and costing them money due to all the chargebacks. I received no response, and got yet another charge on my credit card this month. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more

I have had this company for slightly over a year now, and it's beyond horrible. I started having issues with this "state of the art" system in December 2022 and into January 2023, that continue until the present day. The pad on the wall goes off whenever it feels like it; sometimes around 2:30 am. I've contacted the office several times, no one has ever come out here to diagnose the problem, yet the "office manager" has done nothing but wildly grasp at straws accusing my doors (wiring and sensors) to be the problem. As I said, NO ONE from their company has bothered to actually look at them, check the equipment, verify that there is indeed nothing wrong with their equipment, etc. The panel appears to be malfunctioning; I've sent emails, and one with pics. She (office manager) flat out told me that to bypass this issue they would install wireless sensors to my two doors, one of which is an 8 or 9 foot mahogany. In my opinion, she's lazy; Greg is not available, doesn't return calls but instead apparently gives them to this "manager." I've had other companies solicit my business, and quite frankly, I don't trust any of them. Once company in particular stated the equipment that TSS uses is very old technology, so if that is the case, their equipment isn't "state of the art" as I was told before I signed for this service in 2022. So we moved at the end of March and had a final bill to pay because they automatically renewed our contract just DAYS before called them. After looking online for an invoice and not finding one I just got notice that my credit has been hit with a late payment. They sent our account to collections during the pandemic! I didn't even have a chance to pay the bill before they did that because the invoice was nowhere to be found and they clearly didn't even have my new address. I can't imagine how this company sleeps at night. No compassion for anyone. Just want their money by any means necessary. read more

I'm only giving 1 start because you can't give zero. The entire 3 years I used them was an absolute nightmare. Everything from installation when I moved to ordering new equipment. After setting reminders to make sure I cancel as soon as I could they still billed me, or I should say the company they sold my contract too without my knowledge or approval is still trying to bill me. Biggest frauds I have dealt with in years. Don't let me forget to mention that in the 3 years, EVERY SINGLE TIME something happened at my house, 2 incidences, their system failed. read more

It's almost impossible to cancel your service as each person you are transfered to, will transfer you again and again until you are disconnected and have to start over. Worst customer service ever!! The only time they are responsive or get back to you is when they are asking for money. If you are calling for service, to cancel or for any other reason expect to spend ALOT of time on the phone and to call repeatedly. Our system stopped communicating with the main office during the freeze, we were informed of this 6 months later. They finally came out to fix it. After several technicians and several months later it worked for about a month. Then our system started beeping, they had to shut the whole system down because they couldn't fix it. My husband and I called 4 different times to get someone out to fix the system and no one ever returned our call or came out to fix the system. We finally switched to another service that was reliable and actually worked. We were then informed that we were still being charged and will continue to be charged until we canceled our service. I asked what they were charging us for since the entire system was shut down? I was also informed that I was calling the wrong number (apparently you are not supposed to call the local office) and that I, the customer, was responsible for calling once a month to make sure my equipment was working. I have never had to jump through more hoops to get service from a company in my life. If you want to waste alot of time and money, use this company otherwise go with a more reliable company. read more

Best security system in Texas! We talked to several security systems in the Austin/Round Rock Texas area, we chose Texas Security & Surveillance and are VERY PLEASED ! Today they have installed our system, customer service (Fernando is THE BEST), he explained everything to me (twice to make sure I understood!!!) because I asked him to! He was AWESOME, very professional, very kind, VERY intelligent, knew what he was doing, took time with me explaining the system, he was wonderful. Their pricing is more than fair compared to their competitors and their monitoring is local unlike many other vendors. Dennis Farris is our salesman and he goes above and beyon to provide excellent service. When we moved to our new home he looked at the new house and made suggestions as to how to best secure the home using our existing equipment and with minimal additions. He also moved the equipment and ensured that it was set up to our satisfaction. Definitely 5 star, and highly recommended. The sign-up process and implementation was cake. Greg is super-professional and sells you exactly what you need, no overly-pushy sales effort here. The install team was awesome, sticking around to adjust the camera angles to optimize sight. The software sits on my desktop and phone so that I can monitor live, and easily review past footage. In the 9 months we've been open, I've had zero issues with equipment and/or not getting notifications when the gym is opened or closed by our team. And I've gotten an immediate response every time I've mistakenly set off the alarm, haha. Jokes aside, I highly recommend TSS. With TSS, we sleep easy at night. read more

When my alarm went off at 3 am and my former monitoring company didn't call to check on me, I started questioning the service and the equipment. A few days later I heard an ad for an alarm company that was 1/3 the price and local. I immediately got in touch with TSS. Dennis met with me at home. He was thorough and let me know all of my options for my home. (He had retired from decades in law enforcement, was familiar with the challenges of my neighborhood, and clear about advancements in technology - who better to really check out my proper out?!) I had so many choices! I decided to add several features that took my 5 year old system (which now seems identical to my 1993 system) into tomorrow and way, way beyond. The installation team came to set up a few days later and they too were fantastic. On time, efficient, and walked me through the apps and information online until I knew exactly how to work each feature. I feel like I have a team of people protecting me now. read more

I would not recommend them. After they installed our system back in May 2016 the app to disarm/arm our alarm system NEVER worked. I tried multiple times to get help from them but they just referred me to alarm.com customer service. To have someone come out to my house to check on things would cost $180 and even have someone on the phone from their company to help us out with the app issues wasn't possible. I still have 19 months left on my contract and have an alarm I can not control through my phone. Their customer service is not helpful at all, can say good things about the salesman he was professional and courteous but once you are their customer very little support. read more

They say they are locally owned. But I've learned recently that the monitoring service is by a company called Alarm Funding Associates. So yes Locally owned to set you up but you are being monitored by a company out of West Chester, PA. Contract signs you up for 3 years then automatically resigns you up for 1 year if you do not tell them to cancel. No signature or even notice from them required to hook you back up for 12 more months at a time. If you decide to leave they charge you for whatever months are left on a contract you never signed. Of course no one mentions that until you try to cancel. Even my cell phone company allows me to cancel anytime after my initial contract is over. Cell phone connection tends to act up frequently making the alarm system go off in the middle of the night, however if you ask them to replace it with one that works properly they will charge $95 just to show up and then however much the part costs to fix the problem even if you are still under the original 3 year contract. They also will not tell you how much the cell phone part will cost so i decided to live with it. I've tested my alarm with them and found the system was working. I then waiting a few days and let my alarm go off to see if they would give me a call. No one called. I called them up asking why they did not call and they said because the alarm has to go off for several minutes before they attempt to call anyone. I'm not sure what a few minutes is but it seems to be more than 5 which at that point i was afraid my neighbors would call the police for me. BTW this isn't my first security service to work with but it was definitely the worst experience I've had. Previously had ADT, local Houston providers as well as brinks. I would prefer them all over TSS. read more

I'm giving them 4 starts, but I'm still up in the air. The initial process was super easy, and everyone was very nice and helpful. Took a while to get up and running because of part orders etc, which was no problem. I am happy with the system and the installer was terrific. However not long after install we discovered issues with some of the equipment. They did come out and replace the problem equipment, but I felt as if they were trying to put us off. Offering excuses as to why the stuff wasn't working that didn't match the issue. As if they were trying to avoid coming out. So far all is good, but I hope this isn't what I will come to expect when I need service. I wanted a good local company and hope to do business with them for years to come. read more

TSS is a saving grace at our office. We have multiple tenants and employees so knowing when something cross happens is imperative (had homeless and former employees attempt to enter the building at night). I use these guys at my home also and thankfully haven't had to test their service but our install was quick and haven't had any issue with it in more than 3 years. read more

We signed up with this company in an effort to support a local business, and felt completely bamboozled after our experience with them. Despite red flags from the beginning, we stayed with them because their field technicians were friendly and great to work with. We paid for service that didn't work for months and the company never made efforts to resolve it. They installed outdated equipment which became very clear when the cameras either didn't work at all or didn't work efficiently when they did operate. We weren't told that our contract was actually with a company in Pennsylvania, but we found out when we tried to contact the "local" company in "Round Rock" on a service call or with an issue. They were non-responsive and issues continued to mount. Long story short, we paid for service and equipment for 3 years that didn't work AND when I tried to cancel, it became more of a nightmare than the bad experience of having TSS as our "local" security company. It took FOUR months for the company in Pennsylvania to cancel our contract. When we finally got it canceled we were sent an invoice of $399.50 to pay out the rest of the contract. We were forced into canceling service b/c our service never worked and they stopped responding to our service calls. TSS didn't fulfill their end of the contract, but they expect us to fulfill ours by paying out the $400? Amazing. This was the worst customer service experience we've ever had and it's clear this company is not only shady, but will most likely be going out of business soon. BUYER BEWARE. read more
