I recently had Texas Rodent come out to one of my rental properties after my tenants started hearing noises in the attic. Fernando did a full inspection and found a family of squirrels up there. He was able to locate every entry point and properly seal and screen all of the roof vents. Since his visit, we haven't had a single issue. I needed clearing in my home of any noisy creatures and decided to call Texas Rodents. The came but not between 2 to 4 but after. I was surprised they sealed all the entry points all over the roof. Very professional and they know exactly what there doing. I also had lots of wasps all over my large home and they removed all in an instant. I could't believe how well they cleared out all the creatures safely. IN fact they put cages that the animals exit but can not come back, not killing one single animal. Yes, very impressed with the one thing they set out to do rid rodents, birds and more. I almost never write reviews but I felt compelled to post this one for other users who may be considering local pest companies. We've had Texas Rodent come out twice, for two different properties -- first, our rental and then our home. At the time, we were genuinely very impressed with the level of thoroughness with the evaluation of our home. JR took time to really explain what was going on and what we should do to mitigate our pest problem of having squirrels get into our attic through roof junctures -- a very common problem with many roofs around the Austin area. But then things got pretty sketchy pretty quickly. After spending over $1,300 to properly seal our home, Texas Rodent never showed up two weeks later (as promised) to remove the temporary excluder off the back of our roof. We called the company and texted our serviceman directly nearly a dozen times with no response whatsoever. All the more frustrating considering we paid a handsome fee for a 2-year warranty on top of our original service quote. It's now been a full 5-months after our house was original serviced and we still haven't heard from the company despite calling repeatedly. You'll notice other customers have had similar issues around being unable to even get in contact with the company. It's a real problem. And to top it all off, we now have critters back in our attic, too. It's a shame. We were so impressed with the knowledge and service when Texas Rodent originally came out to our home, and we probably were about to write a glowing review for the company once the job was complete, but now we are blown away with the ineptitude and feeling like we just got taken. We paid $1,300+ to Texas Rodent and got ghosted without the job even getting finished. read more

We used Texas Rodent in Oct 2019 for a squirrel issue in our attic. They came out and sealed up our attic after trapping any squirrels in the attic through a single remaining one-way device. We thought the problem was solved, and they informed us of the two year warranty. As of April we know the problem was not solved as apparently at least one squirrel was still in the attic as it or they chewed their way through the soffet to get out. Update 7/3/2020 - Mark, one of the owners called this afternoon and explained the impactful situation to the business due to Covid 19. Between shut down, office fire and keeping people healthy, they've had a rough go. Be advised that yelp says they are open but in fact they've been temporarily closed down for over two months.I empathize and had a good conversation with Mark. Update 7/6/2020 - JR came out and did a great job of fixing the soffet. He also did a complete inspection of all the previous work he had done to seal our attic. Loved Texas Rodent! They helped me figure out where the squirrels were coming in and hiding in my home and closed all of the holes where they were coming in and building nests. They also humanely removed the squirrels and relocated them as well. That made me feel good about my choice to select Texas Rodent. He arrived quickly to asses the property (before any other company could schedule a quote), and I had the initial quote later that night (working late)!
