When we arrived at this link in the Texas Roadhouse chain for dinner here recently, we found that the place was completely packed. Fortunately, we had previous experience with this restaurant and availed ourselves of the wait list :-) Tip: Even at rush times, the wait times for seating can be minimize by using the wait list. It turned out that we were seated in a little more than five minutes. They gave us our menus as we sat down and took our orders promptly. For dinner we shared the fried chicken with white gravy, mashed potatoes and garlic green beans - Yum! Eating the breading on the chicken brought back distinct memories of the Swanson TV dinners I ate when I was a puppy. That's not a bad thing, as I have some fairly pleasant memories of these dinners :-)

Affordable place that has something for everyone! Made a reservation for Easter Sunday for a group of 9. They had no problem accommodating a group of our size. There are plenty of options on the menu, and I appreciate how they offer nutritional information. You can eat pretty healthy here if you want to, and you'll never leave hungry. Their bread and cinnamon butter free starter is always a hit! Truly a place that never disappoints!

Always a pleasant dining experience. The neon lights, the smell of the rolls and sweet sweet butter aroma are a welcoming combination. The waitstaff is always attentive and the food never disappoints.

Where else can I get an 11 ounce sirloin, baked potato, macaroni, a Texas-sized Yuengling, and unlimited dinner rolls for ~$20? Even though they're a chain, I appreciate Texas roadhouse for being a restaurant where someone can get a steak dinner for a reasonable price. They do an excellent job at cooking steak to a fineness you prefer. Each time I've down here the service has been excellent. It can get pretty busy so I would recommend joining the waitlist before you get there.

My husband and I visited this Texas Roadhouse on our 2 year wedding anniversary as it is the place that we had our first "date". We were seated in Asia's section. She was a very bubbly, charismatic person. She isn't put off by any requests and explains anything you might have a question about. I LOVE that she brought extra cinnamon butter for us as well! Their steaks are to die for! I absolutely love their New York Strip steak cooked rare. Their sides are reminiscent of the food I was raised on in the south so it's always a nice reminder of home when I visit. I know its just a chain restaurant, but its damn tasty!

Country Fried Chicken sweet potatoes Combo Appetizer

Although it was really crowded I was able to get seated quickly. The server was pretty nice but I didn't like the food at all the appetizers some were undercooked some were dried out just not good. Then that sweet potato with 60 uncooked marshmallows just hanging out on top it just looked so unappetizing. The chicken was ok although I didn't care for the congealed gravy. I voiced my concerns to the server and she told the manager who removed the cost of the sweet potato from the bill. This was definitely a waste of money.

    Our phenomenal server, Ashley!

The Boynton is a Worcester institution where the napkins are thin, the booths are legendary, and the food portions are sized for a literal grizzly bear preparing for hibernation. The Highlights: The Pizza: The crust is weirdly sweet, the cheese is an architectural hazard, and it's arguably the most addictive substance in Central Mass. One slice is a meal; a whole pie is a commitment to a three-day nap. The "Buckets": Why drink from a glass when you can drink neon-colored spirits out of a literal sand pail? If you don't have a reservation, just pull up a chair in the parking lot and wait three business days. The Verdict: You will arrive as a functioning member of society and leave as a human-pizza hybrid in desperate need of stretchy pants. 5/5 stars. So, when a good friend called and told me that there was a new one that opened in Shrewsbury, it was off to the races. I had to experience this. Service: We got seated nearly instantaneously when we got in the door and the place was already quite busy by the time that we got there. My friend got a salad of some sort with a sandwich and I got one of their signature burgers. The waitress appeared in a timely fashion, took the orders, had drinks on the table in no time, and was very attentive to any and all needs. Ambiance: It was on a Saturday during sports season, so there was a lot of noise and chaos going on, but that is always how I remembered the Ground Round. It is NOT a restaurant that you are going to read a good book in. The fact that this restaurant also had high cathedral ceilings which increased the acoustics, made it a little more unbearable for people who like quieter spots. But to me and my friend, it was not a dealbreaker. Food: After all, what were we doing there for anyways, but the food? It was very good. She enjoyed her dish, and my burger was actually one of those "skyscraper" burgers that are impossible to grip with two hands or get into your mouth for a bite. After dining at the Ground Round again, I am moderately confident that I could take a bite out of the Prudential Center if the need arose. Don't get me wrong, the burger was tasty, juicy, and done to perfection, but it was yuuuuge. Overall, if I could give the Ground Round a 1/2 a star I would make my rating of them a 4 and a 1/2 stars venue. I will definitely be back and look forward to meeting my friend there again for lunch. :) -S
