Great service, from the host to our waitress Jillian. Everyone was so friendly and having a great time. The food was good, but don't expect it to be a life changing steak. Post COVID review. So first, I will go through the service. My order experience was simple, I ordered on the phone I told them I was going to do curbside carry out, they told me to pull up into a spot and somebody would come out. I pulled up, somebody was actually already there- next to me, so an employee came over, asked my name, went inside got my bill, and my food- which was ready early! She was carrying a portable credit card machine, so there was no contact, I just put my credit card in there, and then pulled it out and I was done. Perfect! As for the food.... I got the Prime Rib, and oh my gosh, it was delicious!! Also huge! It was cooked perfectly, and came with salad,I upgraded to chili (lunch the next day), and they give you yummy, irresistible rolls. The steaks were great as expected, but everything else was terrible. I ordered the LIT (their version of a Long Island Iced Tea), but it tasted like lemonade with coke. I wanted to start with a cup of chili, but it was lukewarm (almost cold), so I had to send it back. The blooming onion was just ok, and one of our steak orders was incorrectly brought at half the size we ordered. The table was so wobbly we had to prop it tight against the other table to keep it from moving. Our server was nice, but hardly came by the table to check on us. Went to the Walpole texas roadhouse with my boyfirend about a week ago and was very exctied for our meals. Our waitress was great, however we both found a combination of four different hairs/eyelashes in our food. I asked for the manager who was very nice and comped our meals for us, however it made me not want to eat the rest of my meal. Wanted to give this place a try since I pass it daily and didn't know much about it except it was a sort of chain steakhouse. I usually will steer clear of places like this except once and a while with the kids. The place sits off the side of busy route 1 in Walpole in horrible Walpole Mall (see my other review) parking lot. This spot takes up plenty of real estate and is a gigantic place inside and out. The inside is of course all sorts of Texas related stuff on the walls with reason, tons of southern themes, lots of beer signs and Nascar paraphernalia, country music blasting through the speakers, and the place is very loud. The place gets jammed packed so if you can put yourself on the early wait list online, do it, otherwise you will be waiting forever especially on a Saturday night. The staff is pretty good here, very friendly and very fast and they even will tell you about the menu and keep refilling drinks. The menu here is a collection of steaks, barbeque and burgers as well as chicken etc. Lots of creative cocktails, huge margaritas and some tasty appetizers. The steaks, although the highlight of this place, I would probably steer clear of, bit fatty and not the best cuts of meat. The barbeque is good, so are the selection of appetizers. Prices are decent and the staff is really what makes this place. Family of 4 you will spend about $90 bucks which is not bad. If you come here though, come here for the appetizers, entrees are just mediocre. read more

I've been to the Texas Roadhouse on RT 1 in Norwood twice now (visits a few years apart) and both visits have been disappointing. The restaurant is noisy and has a loop of country songs that play over and over games and NFL games all playing at the same time make it quite noisy but not really in a fun way. My wife couldn't stand the peanut shells all over the floor the last time as she thought it seemed dirty. They halted that practice due to Covid. Good news for my wife. Of course the most important thing is the food and both times I've been here it has been poor/mediocre. I ordered the strip steak and my wife ordered the filet mignon - both medium rare. My strip steak arrived completely over cooked (all gray) and my wife's fillet wasn't quite as bad, but was at least two levels overcooked also. The server asked how my steak was and we said both were overcooked. She was nice and brought them back to replace them which was expected but it is still a bummer that a steakhouse can't cook either steaks correctly. The bread was warm and the salad was pretty decent - the best part of the meal. No complaints there, but the green beans were the really cheap canned variety with lots of crushed bacon in them served in a quarter cup of beans juice water. Not really appetizing and definitely felt cheap. I also noticed the silverware was the absolute cheapest diner quality silverware variety possible. It also didn't lend itself to good expectations. The quality of the replacement strip steak was very poor, with tough gristle throughout most of the cut of beef. The worst steak I've had in a decade. It seemed cooked too quickly, being gray on the outside, with a strip of purple in the middle. Heather's filet mignon was OK but she said it really wasn't half as good as we get at our regular Longhorn or a better steakhouse with the price wing about the same. We don't see ourselves returning to Texas Roadhouse. Doesn't have to be exact- not too picky, but Steak houses need to be able to cook their steaks decently. At least close to the right temperature requested. Bummer! Here's to better steaks in 2023!!!! I should have added that the staff was very nice, and the bartender (we ate at the bar) was very nice and engaging. All staff was good- just wish food was better. read more

This places is always great. The food is good, the wait is minimal and you can always check the wait before you go and use the call ahead seating so you dont have a long wait especially is you will have a large party. The only issue is the service is a hit or miss. Its never bad, just that sometimes its excellent and sometimes its just ok. Like sometimes you may have to ask for a refill on your soda a few times before you get it and your server is nowhere to be found and other times they anticipate your needs and are always around. But since the food is always great and will always satisfy my craving for a good steak, I will always go back. They just need more consistency with their service. read more

Placed an on line order where expected pickup time was 25-30 minutes out. Less than 5 minutes later I got a message it was ready. Needless to say, by the time we got there, dinner was cold. The pickup message made it sound like you just pull up to the front of the restaurant-they fail to say the pickup window (not curb side delivery) is BEHIND all the handicapped parking. We both ordered prime rib. It was OK but very bland. The aujus with it tasted like it came from a jar. Broccoli not very exciting -said it came with lemon seasoning but I tasted just overdone broccoli. Caesar dressing not exciting but lettuce was crisp and croutons were good. When I open the napkin that held the silverware it was still covered in dried out food. I just had the most amazing experience at this establishment. Went at peak time on a Friday night and all the staff were working so hard to get everything moving as fast as possible. We only waited around 15 minutes and every staff member we interacted with was so nice. About three different folks asked us if our food was right/if we needed anything. Our waiter took his time to make sure he got our order down correctly and all the food came out so fast and was perfect. Shoutout to the staff at this restaurant for being so friendly, attentive, and careful, especially on a busy night! I dined here this afternoon with two of my friends, and we were sat as soon as we got there. After we got situated at our table, we were immediately greeted by our server Morgan. She was very attentive and friendly, had great recommendations and was able to answer all of our questions. She was the highlight of our visit! I had a frozen mango margarita and a sirloin smothered in jack cheese and gravy with the seasoned rice and chili as a side. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. It was a little bit on the quieter side when we sat but quickly filled up, and Morgans quality service never wavered! Dropped in before work with the S.O. Service was awesome from Melissa. She was attentive and knowledgeable. I had an original rocks margarita with a patron kicker. The S.O. had a sangria margarita. Both drinks were great. For an entree I chose an 8oz NY strip which was prepared medium rare and perfect. And the full rack of ribs, which he ate almost half of and boxed them to go for me for later. We are typically very pleased with this chain of restaurants. Tonight was disappointing, especially since we raved to friends who joined us for dinner this evening. To start off, I always choose baked sweet potatoes for my two sides as they're typically baked to perfection. This evening one of the potatoes was so hard that a fork wouldn't pierce it. This uncooked potato had to have been obvious to the cook as it was served in an unusual way -- cut in half with the cut side facing upward in the plate. NEVER have I ever been served a potato cut completely in half. Whomever prepared the potato knew this was an undercooked potato. The "Fall off the Bone" ribs were dry. The rolls were over-baked. Our friend was served a completely cold sweet potato -- the butter wouldn't even begin to melt. Her Dallas Filet, which she thought would be a typical fillet mignon, came to her as a thin 1/2" steak. Upon cutting into it, it was gristly and not what one would expect for a $25 steak. Granted a potato and salad were the accompaniments but certainly not the bulk of the cost. The size of her steak I would have compared to the 6oz sirloin offered on the $12.99 menu. Totally disappointed with this Texas Roadhouse. read more

Wow, came here on busy Friday night and I guess the staff all perform great under pressure because the food arrived really quickly, steak and meat were all cooked perfectly, and despite all the screaming kids and noise, the hostesses and servers all still remembered to smile and be nice. The rattlesnake bites were hot crunchy and spicy, love the spicy jalapeño mixed with melting cheese. 16 oz ribeye was tender and juicy, fries were hot and crispy. The seasoned rice was a bit overwhelming but if you like jambalaya style rice, this is your thing. I love how they serve their dinner rolls warm and the butter had a bit of cinnamon mixed into it. Made me feel all Christmasy. Awesome place for some steak! read more
