We got in quick but they had given us two booths next to each other instead of one big table which wasn't ideal with all our kids and adults to fit. We waited another 15 minutes for them to get a bigger table for us all to sit at. Our waitress was super nice and accommodating to us. My kids got to the tablet and were playing games which costed money... I wish they would have a parental control on it. I tried to see if it costed money and went back to the home screen but it didn't show any price on anything just games then let you go to pick what to play. It was only $2 but wish I would have known. They even gave the kids all little toys which I have never seen. It was busy and loud but the food was great as always! 1st experience at a Texas Roadhouse and honestly I was pretty impressed! It was very busy on a Sunday night. But our table of 6 sat quickly. Margarita was big and yummy. The onion appetizer was good, very similar to a blooming onion if you've had that before. Everything was extremely salty and you blow up like a balloon after but it was worth it. Services was very friendly and attentive. Restaurant is loud and lively. Rolls lived up to all the hype. So soft and fluffy. Our table had the fried chicken, pork chops and filet medallions. While the service was excellent and the food was tasty, I decided to give this location 2/5 stars because of the person making the rolls. I sat toward the window where I could see the rolls being made. I saw the person who was in charge of making, cutting, and rolling the dough texting on her phone with her blue gloves that she had been wearing when preparing the rolls. Of course, cell phones are dirty. Time Magazine wrote that cell phones are 10 times dirtier than a toilet seat. I do not know if there was cross contamination because I did not see her change her gloves, but she was texting at her station and I didn't not see her leave her station. This location though is always busy though but it's fine, we were able to get accommodated within 45 minutes even though they said it was a 20 minute wait. Also just keep in mind about how much "extra" toppings or whatever cost when you order steak, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, etc. when the waitress asks if you want onions or mushrooms on your steak or if you want your sides "loaded", those will be additional in cost. Easy to be overlooked when they ask you. I ordered a medium rare rib eye and it came out nice was awesome and juicy. You can't really go wrong at a Texas Roadhouse. I just wish service was more consistent here. My family and I have been several times and we either get phenomenal service or crappy service. When we get crappy service it's really disappointing because when we have good service you just expect that all the time and it really sucks when you don't get it. Example of phenomenal service: Drinks come or we are asked if we want refills pretty fast, even before we are empty. Checked in on several times, they're super friendly and personable, they ask if we want more bread vs us asking for more bread. When I get great service where I am tipping in the upwards of 25% .. crappy service I am at around 18%. Food has always been good here, very consistent and tasty. We ordered the Smokehouse burger, pulled pork sandwich and a 6oz sirloin. The burgers and sandwich were huge, very messy and great. The 6oz sirloin tasted amazing. Atmosphere: it was Christmas Eve, there weren't many places open, but I was so impressed with how well the team there took care of us. It was relatively noisy, but too overwhelming and there are TVs all over. Looks like they have great bar seating too. Service: our server Danny was amazing. Super fun, energetic and very attentive. Seating, Drinks and food all happened super fast and there was still a line out the door when we left. Four star food from the rolls to the sides. We love the consistent service we get when we come here and if you come during lunch hours it's not as loud and crowded. The food is what you'd e text for family friendly steakhouse but they always do their best to make sure things are cooked correctly and everyone is happy with their meal. One of our sides came out a little past its prime and was quickly replaced for us. We came to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate a promotion, but unfortunately, our experience was really disappointing. We've had the same server, Eternity (I believe that's her name), on two visits now, and both times the service has been poor. She came across as rude and unfriendly, and it felt like we were being rushed out the door. She asked us multiple times if we wanted boxes when we had only just started eating, which made it hard to relax and enjoy our meal. On top of that, she told us that no matter what steak we ordered, it might not come out the way we wanted it cooked and that it was out of her control--which was a strange and unhelpful thing to say. The overall attitude really took away from what should have been a nice night out. The food itself was decent, and that's the only reason I gave two stars instead of one. However, the service ruined the experience for us, to the point that we didn't even finish our meals or drinks. I gave the benefit of the doubt last time and even tipped well in cash, thinking maybe it was just a bad day for her, but it seems this is a recurring issue. Sadly, we won't be returning. read more

We came here for a late lunch/early dinner type meal around 4pm on a Saturday. I wasn't expecting it to be very busy because of the time, but we could hardly get through the door. So many large parties waiting. They told us it would be about 35 minute wait, so we went out to wait in our car. Not even a full 10 minutes later we got the text to come in for our table haha. Texas Roadhouse is one of those chains that you know what to expect, and they deliver every time - similar to Olive Garden or Outback. This location is always VERY busy, with lines usually out the door on nice nights, and the restaurant is just buzzing with people talking once you get in. The food is solid. I wouldn't say it's phenomenal, but it is definitely tasty enough that we go back every couple of months! Portion sizes live up to the saying "Everything is bigger in Texas." My family of 6 has tried countless different options, and they've all been good. The service has always been great. There was one time out of a dozen that they got my to-go order wrong (twice), so they gave me a bunch of coupons along with loads and loads of apologies. My family and I have been patronizing this restaurant for years now, and it never fails to impress, both with good food and excellent service from the staff. My wife and I returned a week ago last Friday just for giggles, and after a 45-minute wait outside, we were finally seated at a table in the front of the restaurant...and were waited on by Cainan...who did an excellent job of taking care of us. We both immediately ordered our drinks (house margarita for me and a strawberry lemonade for the wife) and main courses (Road Kill, medium-rare with all the toppings on the side...and steak fries for me, and the pulled pork dinner for the better half.) We also asked for a bag of their de-lish roasted and salted peanuts in the shell, and snacked on those (using the provided bucket) along with the toasty warm rolls and cinnamon butter before the dinners were brought out. And it was brought out nice a warm, and very tasty...as always. So much food, in fact, that we took a few bites home for the next day's lunch. Cainan did a great job waiting on us and is to be commended! Overall...five stars for great service and damn good tasting food at a very reasonable price out door for $44.02 (minus tip.) Letter i sent to the management team tonight, this is the worst of ever been treated at a resturant.. I need to speak with the owner or highest-level manager of the Sandy Texas Roadhouse immediately. Tonight, my family drove down from Layton to celebrate my son's birthday. After we were seated, the server, Kaylee, approached us claiming that my wife called her a "b-word." My wife does not swear, and this accusation is completely false. We saw Kaylee in the parking lot earlier, running as if she was late for work. We didn't say a single word to her. Yet she claimed that "other people heard it," which is simply impossible. We were in the middle of the parking lot, and absolutely nothing was said to her. To make matters worse, the managers supported this story without any evidence. This is unacceptable, unprofessional, and shows extremely poor judgment by both the server and the management team. They should be held accountable for making false accusations toward paying customers who were there to celebrate a birthday. We also know of Kaylee because my wife's daughter previously had a relationship with her husband and they share a child. We do not involve ourselves in their personal issues, and we have never caused any problems. For her to use that past connection to make up something like this is absolutely ridiculous and completely inappropriate. I am requesting that you review your security footage from tonight. You will clearly see that nothing was said, and that her accusation is fabricated. My family has gone to Texas Roadhouse for years. We are not the type of people to cause trouble, and this situation has caused us a great deal of stress and embarrassment. I intend to take this matter as far as necessary until it is resolved properly. This was an extremely upsetting and unfair experience, and I expect a full review and response. read more

Sweet and buttery. I was happy the salad wasn't choked with cabbage and the toppings were plentiful. The lettuce was crisp with no frost burn or wilting. My wife got the chicken fried steak and the breading was not overcooked (thank goodness) yet the meat itself was juicy -- a good enough result that we made a point to thank the cooks on the way out for that preparation. The rolls are addictive as hell and the server kept them coming! I was impressed by the attitude of the employees I met, including Abel, the owner/operator, who took the time to serve us our meals personally and then chat for a bit. Turns out that TR gives a percentage of the price for every order to their cooks and front end staff, so they are taken care of as well as the bartenders and servers, who get tips.
