I was glad to see there's a Texas Roadhouse here in the Salt Lake area. My crew and me are almost done with our field location assignment here and I figure it's a good time for a nice sit down dinner before we head back across Nevada to CA on the 80. This location was easy to find and plenty of parking. We get there and a friendly host seats us, no too much of a line here. Tiy can call ahead and that puts you in line basically, so when you arrive, there's not much of a wait even if there's a big line! We go by the steaks all on display. Sometimes I pick out my steak I want right there, but this time I just went in. Seated, we get those wonderful soft fluffy buns with that butter. Everybody grabs one. We've all been to Texas Roadhouse before so we all know how it works here. We get a couple of orders of those loaded potato skins for starters. One guy gets the full rack of ribs, I get the rib eye as do a couple of others. We all go for the Caesar salad option. The potato skins are so tasty! no skimping on the bacon! My steak arrived cooked as ordered, med rare, the that full rack of ribs looked good too. My steak was juicy and tender, maybe not prime grade $35/lb kind steak, but for the money it was well worth it. I like Texas Roadhouse, cause it's consistent over all the locations and I travel a lot with this crew, so we al get what we like. read more

We wanted an early dinner 4 pm but the Lehi location was too busy. We called and joined the waitlist for the Sandy location. We got in quick but they had given us two booths next to each other instead of one big table which wasn't ideal with all our kids and adults to fit. We waited another 15 minutes for them to get a bigger table for us all to sit at. Our waitress was super nice and accommodating to us. My kids got to the tablet and were playing games which costed money... I wish they would have a parental control on it. I tried to see if it costed money and went back to the home screen but it didn't show any price on anything just games then let you go to pick what to play. It was only $2 but wish I would have known. They even gave the kids all little toys which I have never seen. It was busy and loud but the food was great as always! We got an onion blossom and twisted mozzarella sticks. I've never had the twisted mozzarella sticks but they were good! My steak was perfect and the prime rib was amazing. read more

We just stopped in for dinner and had a great meal. Dustin was our server and he was excellent. He was super patient with my parents who have an accent and are a bit hard of hearing. He took great care of us. The food was great, I ordered a ribeye medium rare and it was perfectly cooked and tender. We always stop at a Texas Roadhouse for dinner on our way to visit grandparents in Montana and will choose this one from now on. read more

I don't understand the point of a waitlist when they put you in line behind everyone else

First off I'd like to say whoever worked 07-04-2026 as the cook for all the steaks that night did an amazing job, all of our steaks were amazing, the food was out fast, and our server Hunter was very attentive, nice, and knowledgeable. The steak was everything you'd want from a Texas Roadhouse experience, it was cooked medium rare just like I asked, and delicious unlike some places you go where the steaks are expensive and not worth $10. Don't listen to the reviews give it a try on a Saturday night and hope that same cook is there for you! read more

Very disappointing experience at Texas Roadhouse. We arrived with a group of 11, including six young children (two babies in booster seats and four toddlers). Instead of seating us in a booth or at a setup that would safely keep the kids together, we were split between two separate tables. The way they divided our group simply didn't work. We politely asked if one of the tables could be extended. We were told it could be, but it was a smaller table that still wouldn't accommodate our entire group. We then asked if there was another table that would better fit us, and again the answer was no, without any real effort to find a solution or even consider alternatives. To make things work, I moved my chair to the front of the table so I could help feed the kids. I was then told my chair was a fire hazard and needed to be moved. That was especially frustrating because we had just been told there wasn't a way to seat our family together, yet we also weren't allowed to make a small adjustment to help manage our kids. The whole experience felt inconsistent and unnecessarily difficult. I've worked in customer service my entire life, and I currently help manage a business where customer service is one of our highest priorities. I completely understand that there are times when a request simply can't be accommodated. That's not what bothered me. What was disappointing was that every request was met with a flat "no," with no effort to explain, offer alternatives, or make us feel like our concerns mattered. Great customer service isn't always about saying yes--it's about making people feel heard. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the poor service. Several steaks came out pink in the middle and were much more undercooked than they were ordered. Others were mostly fat with very little edible meat. For the price of the meal, the quality was extremely disappointing, especially when multiple people at the table had issues with their food. Because of how poorly we were treated by the host staff from the moment we walked in, I ended up leaving without leaving a tip. I genuinely feel bad that this likely affected our waitress, as she wasn't the reason our evening went downhill. If I were a server, cook, or anyone else whose income is impacted by guests' overall experiences, I would be very concerned about how the host staff greets and handles customers. First impressions matter, and ours was one of the rudest and least accommodating experiences we've had at any restaurant. We came expecting the friendly hospitality that Texas Roadhouse is known for. Instead, we left feeling like our family was an inconvenience. Between the poor customer service from the host staff and the disappointing food quality, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences we've had in a long time. read more

Texas Roadhouse is always an experience. Our waitress was terrific, she was super kind and incredibly helpful. The food was hit or miss depending on the item. The best thing was probably the appetizer which was great rattlesnake bites are amazing. The steaks which of course should be the highlight were just okay. While the service was excellent and the food was tasty, I decided to give this location 2/5 stars because of the person making the rolls. I sat toward the window where I could see the rolls being made. I saw the person who was in charge of making, cutting, and rolling the dough texting on her phone with her blue gloves that she had been wearing when preparing the rolls. Of course, cell phones are dirty. Time Magazine wrote that cell phones are 10 times dirtier than a toilet seat. I do not know if there was cross contamination because I did not see her change her gloves, but she was texting at her station and I didn't not see her leave her station. I later saw her texting with her bare hands. I will likely not return to this Texas Roadhouse location. read more

Texas Roadhouse is pretty awesome. Can never go wrong with steak. This location though is always busy though but it's fine, we were able to get accommodated within 45 minutes even though they said it was a 20 minute wait. Also just keep in mind about how much "extra" toppings or whatever cost when you order steak, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, etc. when the waitress asks if you want onions or mushrooms on your steak or if you want your sides "loaded", those will be additional in cost. Easy to be overlooked when they ask you. I ordered a medium rare rib eye and it came out nice was awesome and juicy. My wife ordered a sirloin with bbq chicken combo while our little one ordered mac and cheese. Everything was good! Keep in mind ambiance of the place can get loud at times. read more

1st experience at a Texas Roadhouse and honestly I was pretty impressed! It was very busy on a Sunday night. But our table of 6 sat quickly. Margarita was big and yummy. The onion appetizer was good, very similar to a blooming onion if you've had that before. Everything was extremely salty and you blow up like a balloon after but it was worth it. Services was very friendly and attentive. Restaurant is loud and lively. Rolls lived up to all the hype. So soft and fluffy. Our table had the fried chicken, pork chops and filet medallions. All were very good. The macaroni and green beans were not impressive. It felt all American and nice every now and then, but not on a regular basis. read more

You can't really go wrong at a Texas Roadhouse. I just wish service was more consistent here. My family and I have been several times and we either get phenomenal service or crappy service. When we get crappy service it's really disappointing because when we have good service you just expect that all the time and it really sucks when you don't get it. Example of phenomenal service: Drinks come or we are asked if we want refills pretty fast, even before we are empty. Checked in on several times, they're super friendly and personable, they ask if we want more bread vs us asking for more bread. When I get great service where I am tipping in the upwards of 25% .. crappy service I am at around 18%. Food has always been good here, very consistent and tasty. Texas Roadhouse is generally our safe family go to restaurant when we can't all decide where we want to go. read more

After a day of skiing we stopped by Texas Roadhouse. I don't remember ever coming here, but it is fantastic! It was busy (Christmas Eve) but we were seated quickly! FAST Review Food: We were seated with a batch of amazing dinner rolls with honey butter! A bag of peanuts and quickly got our drinks. A couple of Juicy IPA's and a Mango Margarita. We ordered the Smokehouse burger, pulled pork sandwich and a 6oz sirloin. The burgers and sandwich were huge, very messy and great. The 6oz sirloin tasted amazing. Atmosphere: it was Christmas Eve, there weren't many places open, but I was so impressed with how well the team there took care of us. It was relatively noisy, but too overwhelming and there are TVs all over. Looks like they have great bar seating too. Service: our server Danny was amazing. Super fun, energetic and very attentive. Seating, Drinks and food all happened super fast and there was still a line out the door when we left. Tip: as our daughter would say for the price conscious the 6oz sirloin with 2 sides is a great meal. We got seated by a girl who was just going through the motions. We asked for a high chair for our one year old, she brought back a seat you strap to the chair and just left it there. In my opinion she should have strapped it to the chair, or informed us that we needed to do it ourselves if it's a liability, that seems responsible. The guy came by to take our drink order, I asked for a tonic water with lime, he brought me back a club soda (to anyone who doesn't know, TONIC WATER IS FROM THE BAR). He then took our order, was not any type of overly accommodating or jazzed to be at work on a Friday night. We had one other encounter with him in our whole 45+ minute stay. He came back when the food got there to ask if we needed sauce, we said no, and he practically ran back to flirt with other waiters. I watched at the waitress serving other tables came back 6 separate times the remainder of our dinner thus proving the poor quality of our service. Highly disappointing considering the price increase of Texas Roadhouse recently and the astronomical wait times on a weekend. To conclude, service was abysmal. Four star food from the rolls to the sides. We love the consistent service we get when we come here and if you come during lunch hours it's not as loud and crowded. The food is what you'd e text for family friendly steakhouse but they always do their best to make sure things are cooked correctly and everyone is happy with their meal. One of our sides came out a little past its prime and was quickly replaced for us. When I'm by myself, I enjoy going and eating at the bar. I get to watch a little TV. I don't have to wait to be seated. I don't have to wait for my server to get around to me when their not busy. Personally I'm not a drinker, but it's convenient. It would appear that Nov 1st Texas Roadhouse has a new policy. You must have a physical ID to be a the bar. I have Utah's legal digital ID. We came here for a late lunch/early dinner type meal around 4pm on a Saturday. I wasn't expecting it to be very busy because of the time, but we could hardly get through the door. So many large parties waiting. They told us it would be about 35 minute wait, so we went out to wait in our car. Not even a full 10 minutes later we got the text to come in for our table haha. That was great. Our waiter Angel was awesome, he kept the hot rolls coming and made sure our drinks were full. The food was pretty good this time around. My steak was a little more difficult to cut through than usual, but that's okay. My salad was good and my husband really enjoyed his steamed vegetables! We both really enjoyed the fried pickles as well. I tried the strawberry lemonade for my drink and it was delicious. We left absolutely stuffed! We came to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate a promotion, but unfortunately, our experience was really disappointing. We've had the same server, Eternity (I believe that's her name), on two visits now, and both times the service has been poor. She came across as rude and unfriendly, and it felt like we were being rushed out the door. She asked us multiple times if we wanted boxes when we had only just started eating, which made it hard to relax and enjoy our meal. On top of that, she told us that no matter what steak we ordered, it might not come out the way we wanted it cooked and that it was out of her control--which was a strange and unhelpful thing to say. The overall attitude really took away from what should have been a nice night out. The food itself was decent, and that's the only reason I gave two stars instead of one. However, the service ruined the experience for us, to the point that we didn't even finish our meals or drinks. I gave the benefit of the doubt last time and even tipped well in cash, thinking maybe it was just a bad day for her, but it seems this is a recurring issue. Sadly, we won't be returning. read more

Texas Roadhouse is one of those chains that you know what to expect, and they deliver every time - similar to Olive Garden or Outback. This location is always VERY busy, with lines usually out the door on nice nights, and the restaurant is just buzzing with people talking once you get in. The food is solid. I wouldn't say it's phenomenal, but it is definitely tasty enough that we go back every couple of months! Portion sizes live up to the saying "Everything is bigger in Texas." My family of 6 has tried countless different options, and they've all been good. The service has always been great. There was one time out of a dozen that they got my to-go order wrong (twice), so they gave me a bunch of coupons along with loads and loads of apologies. Just can't find anything wrong with Texas Roadhouse here in Sandy...whatsoever. But instead, there are a lot of things to like! My family and I have been patronizing this restaurant for years now, and it never fails to impress, both with good food and excellent service from the staff. My wife and I returned a week ago last Friday just for giggles, and after a 45-minute wait outside, we were finally seated at a table in the front of the restaurant...and were waited on by Cainan...who did an excellent job of taking care of us. We both immediately ordered our drinks (house margarita for me and a strawberry lemonade for the wife) and main courses (Road Kill, medium-rare with all the toppings on the side...and steak fries for me, and the pulled pork dinner for the better half.) We also asked for a bag of their de-lish roasted and salted peanuts in the shell, and snacked on those (using the provided bucket) along with the toasty warm rolls and cinnamon butter before the dinners were brought out. And it was brought out nice a warm, and very tasty...as always. So much food, in fact, that we took a few bites home for the next day's lunch. Cainan did a great job waiting on us and is to be commended! Overall...five stars for great service and damn good tasting food at a very reasonable price out door for $44.02 (minus tip.) Even though there were lots of people waiting to be seated, we were seated within 10-15 minutes. The food was delicious! Waiter was fantastic. The employees stopped to dance in the isles a couple of times which made me smile. Experience and vibe was amazing with great music. Would recommend coming here to anyone! read more

They ran out of prime rib when we came here. They seemed to be pretty busy on a Tuesday night so service was a bit slower. The cactus blossom was extremely salty. I ended up taking off the breading and ate the onion by itself. I ordered the chicken fried chicken and it came to my table cold. The. Town gravy I requested was also cold. I can tell it was sitting out for quite some time because there was a skirt on my bowl of gravy. I ordered a chili and baked potato as a side and both were very salty. I only added extra sour cream (no butter) on the baked potato and it was salty. They do out salt on the outside of the potato but it tastes like they added another pink on top. My boyfriend ordered the road kill with the meat cooked rare. It seriously looked raw like they just seared it for a hot minute on each side and plated it. Once we got to our table, service was great and fast. Food always tastes the same. Texas Roadhouse has great steak. I've never had a bad steak here. They always cook it to your liking. My favorite side is a baked potato because they put salt on the skin and and it makes it so flavorful. You get to choose two sides and there are so many to choose from.
