My wife and I love eating here. It sucks lately their dishwasher and cleaning people have been awful. We like the food, but it's not clean anymore. I get it they're busy. I was a waiter for a long time in college and I would always check plates before bringing them to guests because they can get debris stuck to them like this. Absolutely unsanitary and unsafe conditions and I hope they take this review seriously and start to clean more. Also the tables when you just sit down aren't clean. My family and I have eaten at several different locations. We frequent the Prosper Tx restaurant since it's near our house. Honestly, we do the take out more than dine in. Popular location can bring long wait times. To go orders are packaged so thoughtfully. Most sides are in separate containers and famous hot rolls are still amazing. We did take advantage recently of the Early Dine Menu. M-Thurs from 3-6. 10+ full menu items & 2 sides for $11.99. Seated right away @4:30. Nicolas promptly brought our drinks and food served shortly after. I ordered the single pork chop with yummy peppercorn sauce, gr beans & loaded potato. Husband's country fried chicken/cream gravy was a winner! It was very enjoyable dining early as TX Roadhouse can get loud during busy times. To go or dine in, we find the menu selection, prices, cocktails and atmosphere works. They have kept prices affordable for families. The Ranger kids meals are another bonus. The Ranger ribs are good sz with 1 side order. This restaurant chain IMO is doing things right so get on their waitlist or To Go option. My friends and I had just got off work and decided to meet here for a beer, mind you I'm new to Texas and have an out of state ID, and never been to Texas Roadhouse. Ever! Bartender asked for my ID which okay yes he was doing his job I got denied a drink ... I'm 35 by the way. This isnt the reason why I'm writing this review , I'm annoyed that my friend did not get asked for her Id he just gave her the dos xx and she's wayyyyy younger than me. The last time we ate at Texas Roadhouse in Prosper, they forgot the birthday girl's meal. We asked several times, and it finally came out when everyone was done with their meal. We thought they would offer some sort of discount or something to make up for the mistake, but they didn't. Fast forward to today (01/07/2024). We came for my daughter's birthday dinner. Husband and son ordered prime rib medium rare and rare. I ordered my ribeye medium well, because I knew it would come out medium. They brought the ribeye out medium rare and the prime ribs were well done... kinda liked gray. When they brought out the steaks, they stated that they don't have horseradish, which was an added disappointment. They were able cook my steak a little more, which was fine. But they didn't have the prime rib the guys wanted, so they had to order ribeyes. One would think they would give some sort of discount or comp or free dessert.... Food is good. Wait staff is usually great. The difference in problem solving abilities between the wait staff and the hostess team (usually 4-6 of them and still struggle) is baffling. Only at this establishment have I had to ask for a manager before ever being seated. I have small children so we eat dinner when there is hardly anyone in the restaurant. I'm not throwing them a hardball during rush hour. Someone with life experience needs to be at the hostess stand at all times. And maybe the biggest issue with this location is the family restroom. Unfortunately the women's restroom doesn't have a changing table, so we are required to use the family restroom during this stage of life. You know who's not ever required to use the family restroom? Employees! Yet, somehow, on four separate occasions, I have waited (sometimes for 5+ minutes holding a squirmy baby) for the family restroom to become available only to find an employee come out of it! Most recently two female employees came out, one older lady and one teen. Are we sending employees into the family restroom to take breaks? Can you not invest in a changing table for the women's room? One of the biggest appeals of this place for our family is that it is family-friendly. But this super weird employee use of the family restroom negates that appeal. read more

The Prosper location had good food and great service, but was a little surprise at the bill. A party of 2 (appetizer and 2 steaks) with no drinks....bill w/ tip was $80. OK..... As much as I Hate leaving a bad review for places that I've visited, I have to be truthful and honest....so here is how our evening went at the Texas Roadhouse in Prosper, which we have been to over 20 times, just in the past year, so we have a LOT of History Here!!! We sat at the bar and were greeted immediately by Allie, who we've seen before.... She is always upbeat, kind and attentive. She took our drink & dinner order as soon as we sat down, since we knew what we wanted to eat. Of course we LOVE LOVE the Warm Bread with Honey Butter. They always come out perfectly hot and yummy! For dinner I ordered the grilled shrimp, which comes on a bed of rice, and for my sides I opted for their sweet potato and a Caesar salad. Everything that I got was cooked nicely and tasted great. On-The-Other-Hand my boyfriend ordered their Ribeye, medium rare with broccoli and a Caesar salad. Contrary to MY Meal..... his Ribeye was AWFUL!!! It came out Cold & RARE inside!?!?! This was surprising to us because they're known for having good steaks which he has eaten numerous times here at THIS Location. He was taken back by how RARE it was inside, so we let Allie know about the issue and she immediately apologized and asked what he would like in exchange. He decided to order the Bone-In Ribeye, assuming it may cook better, since he was wanting a Steak in the 1st place. While my boyfriend was waiting and I was finishing up my meal, a Manager came over to apologize and asked if he wanted a "side". (????) He said no thank you, I just want my Ribeye. After waiting an ADDITIONAL 20 Minutes, he finally was presented with the Bone-In Ribeye..... by this time it had already been Almost 50 MINUTES since we ordered Dinner the first time. This replacement Ribeye was cooked medium rare, as he had requested; but after a few bites he was completely turned off by how FATTY the meat was. I remember looking over at 1 point and being totally GROSSED OUT at how much FAT was Sitting there.... it made me a bit queasy. ALL-IN-ALL He was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED, UPSET and Still HUNGRY. He got the FATTY Ribeye to-go, but I KNOW he won't eat it. By the time we got our Check, we were both Surprised and Disconcerted to see that there was ABSOLUTELY NO Discount nor Compensation made for the cold undercooked ribeye, Nor the extra time we had to wait only to be disappointed yet again. Honestly when your meal comes out undercooked, practically raw and cold.... I also enjoy their draft beers very much, especially the blue moon. I also love that their prices are very affordable, as you get a nice steak with great sides for $20+. Had the pleasure of buying lunch yesterday (Sunday) as this comes highly recommended by my husband. His co-workers and my husband order lunch from them almost every Saturday. My husband said, normally the orders are CORRECTLY done and plated. However, my first order and pick up yesterday was a huge mess. Only 1 out of my 4 orders are correctly prepped. 1. Beef Kabob - is 5/5 for plating and preparation and completeness. 2. Smokehouse Burger - 3/5, I ordered medium and got a well-done. 3. Full Slab Ribs (Wet) - 2/5 missing the loaded mashed potato (with additional fee). 4. Full Slab Ribs (Dry) - 2/5 missing loaded baked potato (with additional fee). I paid extra for the sides which I didn't get. This was also a pick up and I was generous enough to add tip to this order. It could have been a busy day since it was a Sunday but come on, why not check the "plating" before packing it? The receipt was clearly highlighted in RED for the extra on the sides. I am on the fence if I want to order again or not. My advice, make sure you check your order while you're in the restaurant if you ordered a pick up. read more

I always enjoyed going to Texas Roadhouse. What happened? 1) medium rare sirloin was medium but ok. Way over seasoned. I know they use their own season but hold back a bit I want to taste beef. Only ate half , the rest tossed out. 2) bbq chicken breast was dry only flavor was the sauce. 3) deviled eggs were terrible way to tangy. Four of us eating and we threw away 1/4 of them. 4) I asked for loaded baked potato without sour cream, got one with heavy sour cream . I sent it back got another with sour cream on the side. About 1 teaspoon of butter. I ate 1/2 then out the rest. Very dry without butter. 5) the rolls were hot little pillows of love. 6) Salad dressing very good. 7) My son used their steak sauce then whipped it off He said taste just like the bbq sauce. 8) drinks and deserts were great. I always loved coming here. I hope it was a one time deal. I will try it 1 more time. If happens again will be my last time. read more

The complimentary bread and whipped butter (choices of regular or honey) are tantalizing! The kiddos had macaroni and cheese, steak bites, and chicken nuggets. They all really liked the mac and cheese, but the steak bites and chicken nuggets were okay. The Buffalo boneless chicken nuggets had good flavor. The worst part of the meal was the medium steak that came out rare. It still tasted fine but definitely well undercooked. The server was really nice and checked on us often though she was swamped. This place has gone downhill these past few months, this is now the third time in a row that I have received a raw steak. My family and I eat steak all the time, we used to order from here all the time, but after the second time in a row of getting raw steak, not just my own but my brother and dad as well, we gave them a break, we ordered tonight for the first time since Dec., and unfortunately, it was raw again. We will not be eating here again. This is the only location that has done this consistently, every once in a while happens, but consistently to the point where we expect it, is ridiculous. I usually order a medium steak, but after the 2nd raw steak being sent back, I asked them to recook it to medium well, and it was still raw, so I gave up and just ate the sides. Cooking a steak to medium should not be difficult, especially when it is your JOB and you're being paid to cook it, all day every day, I can expect at least a little undercooked but just plain uncooked is absurd. We had to ask our server to bus our table so there was room to even box our food. Drinks were spilled because dishes just sat on the table. Food was definitely not TX Roadhouse quality. My wife and I love this place. We sit at the Bar and the Bartenders are always on point. I order the same thing every time: my Prime Rib, Medium Rare, Horseraddish and Horseraddish Sauce. Mash Potatoes and Gravy. Mushrooms on the side and a Large Beer. We continue to come back over and over again. Also you can't beat eating peanuts prior to your meal and some good Sports or Videos playing on the TV. Booths are tore up . They have a laundry basket as a trash can in the mens bathroom. You add the mediocre for with a run down restaurant with not so good food that equals a 1 star review. To start beers we're missing about a quarter of the glass. There were multiple beers ordered that came to the table like this. Food was just ok. Half was cold and some was warm to hot. Came here around 7p.m. on Sunday with my husband and daughter. We were told to give them a few minutes to clean a table. I was happy with the short wait, but I wondered why we were not being seated at one of the open booths that was already clean. Well, after about 10 minutes of watching the host talk amongst one another, we were seated at the exact booth I looked at that was already clean when we arrived. We were promptly greeted by our server, who inquired about our drink order. Although we had about 6 menus at our booth, there were no drink menus at our table. Our server promptly brought us a drink menu when we asked for one. I ordered a drink and added a kicker to it. Our drinks came out fast, and I am glad I added the kicker because even with the kicker, I could barely taste the alcohol in it. We ordered our appetizers. Our dinner salads came out before our appetizer, even though we ordered our appetizer before we ordered our meal. My daughter was upset because we called ahead to verify that they still had prime rib available. The host, Gabby or Yabby, I am not sure about the name, stated there was prime rib. She even put my daughter on hold to verify. We arrived within 15 minutes and were told there was no Prime rib available. The appetizer of potato skins had bacon that looked like charcoal on it. We sent that back, and the manager brought us a new order with extra potato skins on it. Our server did not ask if we wanted more rolls and left the empty dishes on the table until we barely had room left on the table. We had to request small plates for the appetizers at least 3 times before we received them. The worst part, though, was the food. We are regulars at Texas Roadhouse, so I know what the salad is supposed to look like. Not only was the salad almost half the size it usually was, but the tomatoes were small, whole, and wrinkled.I requested a filet medium and was served a medium rare filet. I added mushrooms, and they were burnt and chewy. I mentioned it to our server, and he acknowledged me but did not take any action and walked off. My husband ordered a Porterhouse medium rare with mushrooms, his steak was well done, and his mushrooms were also burnt. My daughter ordered a ribeye, and although the temperature was correct, the sear gave the steak a bitter burnt taste. My husband told our server about his meal and stated he did not want another steak. The server brings out our check, and my husband's meal that he sent back is on the bill as well as the extra cost for both of our mushrooms. My husband flags down our server and requests for the meal to be taken off. We usually come in about once a month. However, we will not be returning to this Texas Roadhouse and will not recommend it again. Even though the manager brought out the new potato skins, I felt as though the manager could have come and spoke to us when my husband sent his whole meal back. Also, it would have been nice if our server had at least offered to replace the burnt chewy mushrooms. I'm from out of town and heard about this place from my friends who live in Frisco. They had me at fresh buttered rolls btw. When we walked in our party of 7 were greeted right away by a friendly staff and were seated. We walked by the servers area and I caught my first glimpse of the rolls and the fresh cuts of meats. Our server was really pleasant and attentive. We sat at a booth and place was very clean and cozy. We got our drinks right away along with several baskets of the most delicious rolls I've ever had. My daughter ate 5 and said she wished she could hit a reset but to her stomach so she could eat more. My bar is super high as my aunt made the best rolls I'd ever eaten. I must say these were even better! Highly recommend the cinnamon butter!! I had 6! Along with a very delicious and perfectly cooked bone in ribeye steak with grilled onions and mushrooms and a nice baked potato with all the trimmings. First, told to come see the hostess stand as our table was ready. Stood there 10 minutes more waiting to be seated. Second, out of bread! I went and got our own when I saw some come out. Never seen it like that. Third, 2 steaks and grilled chicken was the order. ALL came out with a burnt char. You could smell the burnt and tasted like crap. You know, that I didn't clean the grill and that's burnt on from the last few things you cooked kinda char? Nasty! Never saw a manager. Not once. Not even the courtesy check they do every time. When they grab the taped on ticket at the end of the table. Our server said they were putting in the system that a table in their section was seated long before it was so that was kinda throwing off them. But she was great. When my meal came, the steak was barely warm, the mashed potatoes was barely warm, the corn was nice and hot. Then when I ordered food to go, I barely got fries with my order.
