    Rolls

Came here after a long day travel knowing I wanted to eat a LOT of rolls. I was sat immediately because I got my spot online. However, once I was sat (luckily with 4 rolls and some peanuts) I waited 10-15 minutes for my server to stop by with some water. Immediately ordered my burger (no complaints) and had no problems for the rest of my experience. Would come back if I am craving some crazy good bread!!

My husband and I went here the day after we get married and we satisfied our hunger. The wait staff cheered us for our marriage!

Sitting At the bar..: order... Food down... no check back... 27mins (yes I timed) ... more worried about covering a shift... 3 drink orders total... 3 people at bar... I'm only one eating.. REALLY POOR SERVICE... Ok... used 100$ bill... he gave back straight 3-20$... said "if you need to change.."...

Tonight was my son's 18th birthday. We've gone to Texas Roadhouse just about every year since he was about 4 years old. I called ahead of time and spoke with Leah, which is the manager, to see if they could do something special as this is a milestone birthday and the first birthday since my momma passed away. The staff went above and beyond. Raven was our server. The food was hot and fresh. The table was ready and waiting for us. Of course they did the Texas yeehaw. Thank you for making my sons birthday memorable. They made him a tower of rolls since he didn't want a cake.

I haven't come to Texas Roadhouse about 2 yrs. Tried to join the wait list on their website but I had no luck :( Still the wait at 5 pm is not bad. After we checked in, gave a little info of name and phone number. I got the text about 10 mins later that the table is ready. The place is clean. The food was perfect seriously. The dinner roll still one of the best. Our server is super nice. 5 stars for him.

Took awhile just to get sweet and low for my tea but Alex was quite busy. No real interaction with Alex other than my order. Not fond of sitting at the bar but it was one way of bypassing the line. Alex was nice and stopped back occasionally since she had a full bar area. Just the right amount. Ordered iced tea, 11 Oz sirloin, loaded baked potato and side salad. Everything tasted great! And Alex stayed busy the whole time! It was a pleasant experience and I always love Texas Roadhouse

Must say, LOVE! Fast, LOTS of business but even though they are busy everyone was super dope! If our n about ask for my boy Andy! Dude really did an AMAZING job!

The most important advice I got was, if I order the food "spicy", then I should be prepared to have the air sucked out of my lungs. That's my only food alert. So, I ordered a chicken tenders dinner at the "mild" level of spicy with a side of chicken étouffée. WOW!! It was delicious and the large portions of both the tenders and étouffée were a surprise. My wife also ordered the chicken tenders dinner, but with no spices added. She decided on onion rings as her side and said they were not very good. I tried one and I have to agree the onion rings are not on the same level of tastiness as the rest of their food. The restaurant was clean and had lots of seating. They also have a bar if you need some liquid courage to try a higher spicy level on your food. Since it was our first visit here the wait staff was very nice and helped us decide on what to pick. I highly recommend you give HotBoys a try, but as one YELP friend found out.......if you search the internet for "hot boys" be prepared for the results you get......:)

I did see they allow you to make reservations on Open Table, so I booked it for a weekday to try it out. It wasn't nearly as busy as the parking lot looked, there was plenty of seating. It was a nice day so they had the windows open and they also had someone playing live music so it was a tad loud but, not overly loud where you can't hear your conversation. The menu is not your typical menu, it's very crafty if that's a word. The service was very good, and she explained the menu well and we took her up on her recommendations. Turkey pastrami which I had never had before. It tastes really fresh and felt healthy. The salad comes in a little small bowl but full of goodness. It's a really nice place for a girls night out, or a family dinner. Wouldn't consider it a good place for date night as it is pretty loud.

I liked the added touch of the date night plaque at our table when we arrived. We started with the Evil Jungle Princess (10/10 tiki drink) and the paper bag beer + blind shot pick (gross but kind of fun if you like beer, I think we got a PBR lol). For apps we got the Wagyu pigs in a blanket and the broccoli cheddar soup to share. The piggies were so savory and delicious. For entrees we got the fish and chips and rainbow roll. The fish was perfectly battered and tasted great. The rainbow roll had good flavor but really fell apart immediately. I felt like the presentation could have been improved. They also did not bring out soy sauce with the roll and didn't come even after asking our server for it. Still good flavor to the fish. We finished off the night with the monkey bread (100/10). So sweet and delicious! It came out hot and fresh with a side of ice cream. Definitely sugar overload but totally worth it. And our nightcaps were the Espresso Martini (HAVE to get) and the Campfire Vibes. Both great drinks. Highly recommend this spot for any special night out.

We did not have any wait time for a table. The menu is super overwhelming, there is a lot to read through and understand. I started with the 5 skewer option- beef, chicken, scallops, zucchini and pork belly. I would not recommend the pork belly. Some of my skewers were luke warm. So next time, I will ask that they are all hot. My friend ordered the ying/yang bowl and it had 2 separate sauces,; white creamy and a red miso sauce. They were both delicious. We also had to order the matcha tiramisu. It came in this Japanese decadent box. The presentation here is fantastic. There is a call button for your waiter, which I think is genius, because everyone needs different times to review the menu and decide what they want. We had a lot of questions about the menu. Everything was good, food temperature could be improved. The waiter was very patient with us, no rush. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here and look forward to bringing back alot of people to try this place. It's quite the dining experience! Definitely recommend for all ages.

I always order the Cuban when a new restaurant has one on the menu, and Big Lug's did not disappoint. It was juicy, flavorful, and one of the better Cubans I've had in a while. On my second visit, I went with the blackened cod tacos on corn tortillas (you can also get flour tortillas, and they offer shrimp and breaded fish options). They were fresh, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. Both visits I ordered the spicy garlic cauliflower, and it was outstanding. The homemade blue cheese dressing took it to another level. If you're on the fence about ordering it, don't be--it was one of my favorite things on the menu. The outdoor walk-up bar creates a really cool, laid-back atmosphere, making it a great place to relax whether you're meeting friends or just enjoying a meal by yourself. The staff was friendly, the service was excellent, and both meals came out quickly. I don't usually eat at the same restaurant twice on a trip, but Big Lug earned it. If I'm back in the area, it'll definitely be on my list again.

Big Lug is a very cool spot right off the Monon, and even better if you have a pooch with you!…read moreUnfortunately, our experience with the service was pretty disappointing. We sat right in the middle of the main thoroughfare and were completely ignored for at least 15 minutes before we finally flagged someone down. The guy, "H," apologized and said, "Oh, my bad--it's all good." We figured, no big deal, let's move on. We ordered pretty simple food, apps and were then going to put in some entrees once apps arrived. We asked for waters and a water bowl for our pups. He brought two waters--with no straws--and no dog bowl. We assumed he was going to grab the bowl, so we waited... and waited. Then I noticed him at the end of the bar leaning against some boxes, texting. So I finally got up, interrupted him and asked for the dog bowl. His response, "oh my bad." Our appetizers came out, and naturally, we asked for silverware. A few minutes later, I spotted "H" in the corner on his phone again. At that point I was thinking, seriously?! So I got up again, interrupted "H's" text convo and asked for silverware. His response again was, "Oh, my bad." I didn't respond to him I just turned around and went back to my seat. Honestly, the whole experience started feeling more like a self-serve restaurant than table service. It's a chill spot and we weren't being needy whatsoever. We never asked for any refills- we were merely asking for the basics. We wanted to order more food, but by that point we were pretty turned off and decided to just get the check. Then came the final straw: my guy had his license and credit card sitting on the table because he hadn't brought his wallet out for our monon trek. When "H" came back with the checkout thing, without question or hesitation - he grabbed the card and swiped it. We didn't even realize what happened until afterward. Maybe that's standard there, but I've never had a server just take my card without asking. Usually you get a "hey do we want to use this card? Or something to confirm. And of course the tip structure is skewed so the min is 20% unless you want to try to figure out to manually enter in 15% (which most ppl don't -incl my guy), so we left 20% and left irritated and still hungry. "H" didn't seem hungover or anything--he just genuinely seemed like he did not not give a shiiiit. We had to get up three separate times to get things we had already requested: the dog bowl, a couple straws, and silverware. (Basics) And a quick note on the 7-Layer Hoss Dip: don't expect seven layers. It comes in a small thick ceramic bowl and was basically beans, guacamole, a tiny bit of corn and some hard cheese on top. Definitely would not recommend it. Way too "beany" and not worth $16 at all. The southwest rolls were decent- very fried tho. Cheesecake Factory's are better ;) The location and dog-friendly atmosphere are great, with the exception of the homeless camp right at their patio entrance, but unfortunately, the service really took away from the experience. Hopefully this was just an off night, because Big Lug has a lot going for it.
