We had a group of 24 people! We were coming from Two Harbors so we called ahead to make sure they would be able to accommodate us. Obviously with COVID and CDC regulations, we couldn't all be seated together, which was fine. When we arrived, they were very nice and were able to sit us right after checking in. I ordered a Salmon Cesar salad with a Kenny cooler as my drink. After eating most of my salad I noticed a fly deep in my dressing. I am so disgusted! And only get the Kenny cooler if you really like a super sugary drink, it didn't taste like any alcohol was put in, I had two sips of it and it was enough for me! read more

My husband and I went there last night and we had a great experience. We had the ribs and salads and everything was spot-on. We started off with the delicious rolls that were there as soon as we sat down. The ribs were super tender and falling off the bone, but also grilled perfectly. Our waitress was Destiney and she did an awesome job. She was authentic and friendly, and made sure to check on us regularly - but not too much like sometimes happens. We splurged for dessert even though we were stuffed, and went for the brownie with ice cream. It was delicious. Even took a bit home. All in all a great meal. Thanks! read more

. I was that guy who walked in right before closing and asked if the kitchen was still open. threw myself at their Mercy asking for a to go order. Justin could tell probably by the look on my face, I had a long day. He said" brother why don't you pull up a stool? Grab a beer. We're not going anywhere for a while. We'll be here. Why don't you sit down and relax? I'll get you a menu". It seems like any other place I've been in that situation has either shoved me out the door provided to go while being annoyed, while making it seem like I was the worst person in the world. Not these guys. I literally felt like I was hanging out with friends. They are more than accommodating Brought me fresh bread at 10 pm. checking on me every step of the way. I've worked in the restaurant industry for over 10 years off and on. I haven't seen hospitality like this anywhere- ever. Not to mention on top of that the food was amazing and I didn't get any funny looks from other servers or kitchen staff. The whole place seed to be truly what their shirt said. People who love their job. I had forgotten what it's like to dine somewhere with all happy employees. In the 30 minutes or so I interacted with Justin, his eye contact, kind smile, demeanor his overall attitude. I would consider making this guy the godfather of my children lol- just like came across completely genuine, helpful, caring, authentic, and kind. I may be going a little overboard with the compliment but they deserve it. I had had a long day and I had not realized how long it had been since somebody had done something kind for me. I haven't reviewed a restaurant in maybe 10 years but I was so touched by these two - they made me feel right at home. They were asking me to order another beer before I left and I was very tempted. Texas Roadhouse you have some very special employees there. Great food. Good atmosphere and I would recommend it to anybody. Have eaten at this place several times with my daughter's service Dog and never had a problem until a few weeks ago where we got asked to leave because the manager on duty said he did not believe that my daughter's dog was a service animal and he did not recognize it as such. read more

Never a negative experience from this place. We went in at about 9pm. We were greeted by a extremely friendly server named Donna. She went over the menu with us and made recommendations. As soon as we ordered she brought us some of that yummy bread that they serve there with the amazing butter! The steak and ribs that I ordered came out and it was delicious. I ordered a side of green beans and mashed potatoes..The green beans are always a personal fave because they use bacon or something like that to cook it. Our server was so nice and so sweet. She even checked our I.D when I went to use my bank card which does not happen in restaurants around the area all that often. Nice enough place, clean, not a great beer selection, but you can still get something decent (which to me is NOT a Bud). Food was cooked well and flavorful (had beef tips). Won't give this a higher rating because this is not culinary art by any stretch; the food is seasoned to release endorphins. It isn't good because the ingredients and chef skill are amazing... We really had a good time last night. Our waitress was training and both young gals spent time visiting with us and made sure we had a good time. I had a frozen raspberry margarita and it was large! I also had a house salad that was better than most places. It had lots of extras like eggs and bacon on it. I also had a loaded baked potato that was yummy and the filet and ribs. Both of those were excellent. I ate the steak but only sampled the ribs-ran out of room so I took that home. Both the gals did the dance and gave us high fives. The last four times I have ordered ice cream, I only received it the previous time I ordered because I asked them to make sure they include it. We visit this restaurant quite regularly. Lately it has been a hit and miss. The serve has been questionable and lately my steak has been over cooked repeatedly! I have had to ask for sides or. It get them at all, I have gotten the wrong sides and wrong order the last two times I have been there. I just ate it last time because it I didn't want to have to wait, again for the order correction. Some friends had the country fried chicken, steak and catfish. Everyone agreed it was awesome. No complaints at all. Gave it three stars because the food was great, however the service was not up to par. Usually, texas roadhouse is our go to for special events in the duluth area. Yesterday was my birthday and we drove 60+ miles to have drinks and a nice dinner and got a hotel room right behind the roadhouse, didn't want to drink and drive. Our waitress made our night pretty miserable. We ordered a drink right off the bat and we wanted to drink a little before we ordered food and she came up 4 times to keep asking if we ready to order within 10 minutes. We didn't even pick up our menus by this point and we were still looking at the different drink options. Finally we just said screw it and picked up the menu and ordered after being rushed. We didn't get asked why we were even coming out so didn't get the free appetizer that roadhouse rewards gives you. Food came out good, minus my steak getting mushrooms instead of onions. She ended up making it right, however she left the small plate of mushrooms on the edge of our table the whole night knowing we weren't going to eat it. We asked for boxes and planned on getting a desert to share and another drink or two to celebrate my birthday but instead she continued to rush us, brought us our check without asking if we were finished, and just left and never came back until my card was at the end of our table. At this point, our plates were still there, drinks empty, and we felt we forced to leave and not wanted to keep drinking. Might look for a different steak house from now. We've been here multiple times, and every time, something goes wrong. Tonight was no different, and the last straw for us. We first ordered the fried pickle appetizer, which we had to ask for a 2nd time because we hadn't gotten it by the time we got our salads. Apparently, the ticket got lost after it was made, so they threw it out. They made us another one, and got that out fairly quickly. (Which was a pretty tasty appetizer.) However, this wasn't the last of the mistakes: there was no dressing on my Caesar salad; my loaded potato came back plain; and they forgot an applesauce for one of my sons. To their credit, the server rectified the issues quickly (which tells me they are used to fixing mistakes often); and the food was very good. These are the only 2 reasons they got two stars instead of one. Seriously, though, they need to figure out what is going wrong at this location, because this type of thing has happened every time we visited. And I don't know if we'll ever be back. read more

After first experiencing Texas Roadhouse in Chantilly, VA, I was determined to find one close to home where I could bring my family. While Duluth isn't that close to home, it was the next Texas Roadhouse that I tried. I secretly wanted to bring my family there to see their reaction to the free soft rolls that accompany the meal. We have a daughter who is a bread hound. I had steak, the kids had chicken fingers. When they brought out the rolls and I told them they could have as many as they liked, you should have seen our kids' eyes. Our daughter starting downing them like popcorn. It made this papa's heart smile. You know what you're going to get at Texas Roadhouse - plenty of options for meat - great hamburgers, great fresh cut steak, and all the trimmings. This was our first time going here, so we weren't sure what to expect. We did go on a Saturday night, and it was Duluth's UMD graduation. They do not accept reservations, but they do call ahead seating. Now, as a tip, call ahead seating does not mean that you are seated at the time you called ahead for. It is not a reservation, which it seemed liked on the phone. It just may cut your wait time, but, in the end, it is worth the call ahead. A family arrived shortly after us and did not call ahead, and they were seated 45 minutes after us. When you call ahead, they suggest to call ahead an hour before coming to the restaurant, but to arrive 15 minutes before the time you given. The call ahead system starts out automated, where there are different options to choose from. Then, when you get to a live person, you may have to give more details for what you need. Then, you give them the time you want to eat, and they will give you a confirmation number. When you go in at the time you said and give them that confirmation number, they give you a pager that will vibrate when they have your seat ready. It was nice that the staff came out and gave a sample of their Deep Fried Pickles while we waited outside. The outside waiting area could have been better. It was cold and rainy, and there was no shelter. A lot of families with young children and babies had to wait outside as well, it was too packed inside to wait. As for handicapped accessibility, parking was good, and the doors have a pole in the middle. A standard wheelchair would fit through. Once inside, let's just say it's the customers that you have to worry about, some of them would not move out of the way to let me through. The table they sat us at was way in the back. On the phone, they made it sound that the tables for wheelchairs were right inside the restaurant. Luckily, Texas Roadhouse has an awesome staff that were very helpful to stop traffic and help navigate to our table. It is very loud in the restaurant, with loud country music playing and people talking. At times, it was hard to hear our family talk, and even hearing our waitress talk about the different cuts of steak and menu items was difficult. Our waitress was very helpful, knowledgable on the menu items, and answered any questions we had. She checked on us often and brought refills when our drinks were low. Now, the food, through all the wait, plowing through customers, the navigation to the table, and the loud noise: Texas Roadhouse is the place to go for steaks! They give you a basket of bread with a cinnamon flavored butter that they bake fresh every five minutes, and they will bring more. And, I can't forget to mention the bucket of peanuts on the table, where you can throw the shells onto the floor. Jodi had a 10oz Sirloin that was done medium well, mashed potatoes, and corn. She liked all that she ate. Nothing really negative about the food, but she would like to see the little individual bowls be gone. The little bowls made it feel that you were getting small portions on your plate for the money you were paying. We would have rather seen a better presentation or the sides portioned out on a platter. KayMarie had Sirloin Tips that were done medium well with mushrooms, onions, and brown gravy, over mashed potatoes. She also had a cup of chili with shredded cheese and sour cream. She liked everything she ate and had no negative things to say about the food. Christopher had a hot dog, because he thought Texas Roadhouse might offer different hot dogs than other places. He also had a bowl of applesauce that came with the kids meal, but I think he took more advantage of the peanuts and bread. Jonathan had a chili cheese dog, and a bowl of applesauce off the kids menu, as well. He liked everything he ate and left really full. His favorite part was putting the peanut shells on the floor. I had the 16oz Ribeye cooked medium rare, a house salad, broccoli and carrots. I also added a half order of ribs for $6.99 to my meal. The ribeye was done perfectly how I like my steak. It had a nice char on the outside and pink on the inside, it was very tender and just melted in your mouth. The ribs were cooked very well, with a nice char on the outside, but the meat was so tender it fell off the bone. Jodi tried the ribs and liked them as well, but she thought the BBQ sauce was too sweet. The sauce was on the sweeter side, but I thought it tasted good and would order them again. So, don't let the wait, the crowds, or even the noise keep you from enjoying a great steak and the other tasty menu items they provide. Love that they have .99 kid's meals on Monday nights. Service is hit and miss. If you aren't drinking, don't let them seat you in the bar booths, you get pretty neglected and you can tell the people who run the food for the bartenders are pretty annoyed. The food is always great, though. read more

I always get the BBQ chicken and it never disappoints. The servers and host staff are always on the move. Hope was our server and she was amazing. She was friendly, caring and overall a very solid waitress. I've only had I think one server in existence at TXRH that hasn't been the best, so props on management for always keeping good servers in the mix.
