So I didn't order a steak here but I didn't get a salad either, I got the full rack of ribs and it was so disappointing. We started off with the bloomin' onion or as they call it here, cactus blossom. A fried onion with some zesty creamy cajun sauce. I was pretty hungry but this was a little greasier than liked, especially the bottom, where it was soggy and oily. The sauce wasn't too great either and wasn't enough to go with that huge fried onion. Also grabbed the boneless buffalo wings, these are more like bites of popcorn chicken. These were fried ans sauced well though. The ribs, I ordeed a full rack which came split and stacked on top of each other. The first one was EXTRA dry. I'm talking like I had to rib the meat off the bone, the opposite of fall off the bone. The meat wasn't even well sauced to where I was just eating bites of dry meat. But wait it gets worse, the other half rack was burnt and the ribs were all over charred! I didn't think ribs would be this bad at a steak place...but damn. We took my husband for Father's Day. We knew it would be busy. What we didn't know was that the air conditioning wasn't cooling. We sat down and were there about 15 minutes. I thought that my husband was going to pass out. We had ordered a blossom onion. My son had to take his dad to the car because of the heat. I sat there and waited to let the waiter know that we were leaving because of the heat. I finally went up front and told the hostess. She told me to wait while she found him and our check! If you're looking for a great steak in the middle of a Saturday afternoon, this is the place. It was hot outside and the unlimited iced tea (sweet) and hot rolls were refreshing. The service was perfect and attentive. I ordered the 12 oz New York strip, cooked perfectly to a medium, baked potato and salad. I asked for steak sauce just in case, never opened it. The worst service I've ever had anywhere. I've been in the service industry for years and it hurts to even leave a place a bad review, but my experience was god awful. Waited over 30 minutes for drinks, just to get the wrong drinks. Our server was obviously struggling and the manager didn't have time to help her, but had time to play around with others. I understand having a bad night but this was more than that. We will not be returning to this location, and I suggest not wasting your time either. Between our wait time and how long the food took to get out, it was 3 hours I could have spent anywhere else and enjoyed it more. read more

When I flew in from Oregon, this was the first place my Veteran brothers took me to. When I left, I had to have it one more time, because we have NOTHING like this in Oregon. People in Oregon have never had a steak this good!!! (Nolan Ryan, you the man!!! I do not want to even mention, how crappy the BBQ is back home, compared to Texas!!) There were 10 of us, and EVERYTHING came out all at once, hot, and cooked perfect!! We finally decided to give them a try after church, since we were so disappointed by the one in Spring (over, and over, and over, and over, and over again - we're gluttons for punishment, I guess). Let me start off by saying TRH is one of my all time top 3 favorite restaurants to dine at. I worked at TRH through college for 4 years and I know what to expect when something doesn't go as planned. These are two different experiences at the same restaurant. Long story short on the first one, we ordered TRH to go the other night and no cinnamon honey butter for 8 rolls and our gallon of tea was missing. Tonight was another one of those nights. We knew it being a Sunday it was hit or miss on a wait. We ended up having a 40 min wait. We got to TRH, we told the 2 ladies at the doors we were on the waitlist and they said we could wait wherever. We decide to sit in the waiting area. After viewing multiple people show up, sit in waiting area for a few mins and get sat, others walking in and being sat we decided to ask the hostess how far down the list were we since now we were the only people in the waiting area. The hostess tells us that she sees we've been waiting for 37 mins and proceeded to ask if we checked in. My wife stated no because no one mentioned checking in upon arriving and nothing in the app, to our knowledge, mentioned checking in upon arrival. The hostess said she would check us in. At this moment we're left wondering if we're gonna get sat immediately or have to wait another 40 mins after some big groups of people arrived. We got nothing. I, after about 10 mins, decided to go ask. At this point, we've been waiting for right under an hour. When I get to hostess stand and explain how long we've waited the hostess stated we just got paged. (We have still not received any message or phone call to say our table is ready). Moving on, we finally get sat in Josie's section. Josie changed our experience from the moment we sat down considering more things had gone wrong after this. Long story short. 2/3 steaks were over cooked drastically. All 3 were ordered were medium rare. 2/3 were basically well done. 1 side was wrong. It was suppose to be a loaded mashed potatoes but ended up getting loaded baker. The server who brought out our food, left, came back with a plate and asked my MIL to take it off her plate so he could take it back. 1 steak was suppose to be medallions but TRH was out of medallions. So think about this for a moment, instead of TRH just cutting 2-6 oz filets and creating medallions they recommended ordering a 6 or 8oz filet. I end up ordering the NY strip because their steak cut guy was not at the restaurant. (Makes 0 sense to me but okay). That same steak was suppose to be smothered with onions, mushrooms and jack cheese but was not. As we were leaving we noticed the table behind us also had an over cooked steak. Overall, the experience was incredibly unsatisfactory and the worst TRH experience we've ever received. The positive to this entire encounter was our server, Josie. She was very attentive, understanding, punctual, and optimistic to turn our situation around. Josie, offered to fix everything wrong with the food. To take the steaks back, to get a manager promptly, and jokingly offered to hold our child so we could eat. (She may have been joking but still very considerate.) I ordered online and tipped online I wish I hadn't tipped at all. So when I arrived the girl outside the door explained to-go pick up was inside, so I walked up to a counter where a young lady was on a phone I quickly realized a Togo line was behind me so I got in that line. While at least 3-4 other young ladies were either standing by a similar counter one taking calls others standing there not helping anyone. Another man also cut the line not realizing there was one, and eventually a lady in line ahead of me picked up her bag which was sitting on top of the steak cooler and told the young lady she was taking it and gave her name. Then the man ahead of me actually got his food handed to him, the young lady again had to take additional calls and ring others up, finally she got to me I asked if I could just take my bag because waiting 15 minutes for a to go order that was completed already was ridiculous. I asked why there were lines blacked out and she stated that meant those items were in the bag I said so is the order complete she said it should be but u can check it, I said well I guess I will, but technically in my mind thinking this is your or this restaurants job is was a kinda rude exchange and she was being overworked and clearly to go was understaffed. I hope a manger or GM or someone sees this it needs fixed. This is the second time it's happened in a year or two with almost identical results and no I don't think this was related to being busier due to the virus it was this busy or more the last time I ordered to go but it will likely be my last. First off, the host would not acknowledge us whenever we came in and then when our table is ready she was talking to some other employee and not letting us know it was ready. Second thing, they put my family and I in the farthest corner of the restaurant just because we have a baby with us. I started to notice they kept putting the older folks and couples with children in this area also. Keeping us away from the main floor. That's utter discrimination and disrespectful. Thirdly, I noticed an older man with a walker and they put him in the same area we were in, on the opposite side of the restaurant where the entrance/exit was. They made him walk all the way over and didn't guide him to his table. He rounded the corner asking his wife where he was supposed to go. Horrible experience! Had a roach, one of the small roaches, crawl on our table and go under my wife's plate. I was able to use her drink napkin to catch the roach. Showed it to our waitress, who was not very good, and she brought the manager over. Told her what happened and no offer to cover my wife's meal or anything. At this point my wife was ready to go so we paid and left. No real apology or anything, they just don't care.
