Personally I thought the appetizers were the star of the show. The bang bang shrimp had perfect blend of sweet & spicy that just makes you want to fill up on appetizers alone. The steaks are beautifully cooked and bursting of flavor. I ordered the Delmonico steak and it's one of the best steaks I've had. My friend's steak was over cooked and the manager promptly made sure she received a new steak that was perfect. Overall a lovely place to go. Valentine's Dinner for 4. Limited menu, but still lots of options. We were seated on the 2nd floor and enjoyed the ambiance (although the music was so loud it was hard to hear each other). Unfortunately, it seems they have a process to seat you at the worst table that are hard to get people to take and hope you take it. We asked to move from the 1st offering and they were ok with it. We ended up with a great table on the balcony. I saw several others on the 2nd floor taken to a table, only to come back to a better table. Just seat the guests with reservations in the best table to start and those who come late or walk in can take the tables which are not as good. It was packed so not an issue with balancing service in my opinion. Highly recommend the NY Strip. My friend said the best steak he had ever had. It was his first time at Texas and he was pretty surprised given his experience at other high end steak restaurants. The 8 oz filet and redfish were both excellent. Texas is always wonderful. The food is awesome and the employees are helpful and quick to refill your glass. We went early, with no reservation and there was plenty of room. The decor is so unique and interesting. I got the 8oz filet and it seemed way bigger than that. I loved the burnt corn and whipped potatoes. I've loved everything I've gotten there. Wow! Where do I start with the description of how good my meal was here. I guess we can start with the drinks, the sangria was fresh and tasty. We had appetizers that were visually please in the presentation but also delicious. When I left the restaurant I was asked by the staff about the meal and I told them my inner child was kicking around happy and loving the melt in your mouth fillet mignon and the whiskey (neat) was excellent with the meal. The ambiance was nice and comfy but not stuffy.... The perfect balance of good food, good people and good service. To finish off the meal we shared a slice of apple pie á la mode and a small bread pudding, both the perfect ending to a perfect meal. Awesome as always. Our reservation was honored with prompt seating. The staff was there quickly to take drink and appetizer orders. Yet we were not rushed at all through the evening. Dale came by and spoke to us. Charming as always. So glad he chose our neighborhood for this fine establishment. The meal was excellent, as was desert. Another good meal in Plano! This place was right across the parking lot from our hotel, so it was super convenient - and reason #1 why we chose to eat there. However, the meal turned out to be pretty great, and the experience was one-of-a-kind. My granddaughters couldn't stop talking about the salmon. Anytime you can get a 9- and 11-year-old to rave about seafood, I think that means you're doing it right. However, my husband and I enjoyed our meals as well: Seabass with mashed potatoes and burnt corn (on-purpose burnt corn, just to be clear!) Beef medallions with sweet potato fries and roasted veggies Lemon strawberry cake with homemade strawberry jam in the layers Very filling and satisfying. Cooked perfectly. But the best part? The entire restaurant sang the National Anthem at one point during the meal. Do they do that every night or something? Regardless, it was a great touch. Big crowds of folks waiting on their tables loudly greeted each other next to us. I had to shout across the table to be heard by my dining partner. Mom kept asking if we were at a sports bar because of the noise and the TV's. National chain restaurant have better service than this nonsense. While the fish and the steak were fine, the vegetables were mushy and over cooked. No acknowledgment about my birthday. Do yourself a favor and buy some steaks at the market, flip every 3 minutes in a cast iron skillet for 12 minutes. You will have something better than this joint; good food plus the peace and quiet to speak to your dinning guest in a normal voice. FYI - NY Stripe and Ribeye are often sold for the same price. I have been driving past this restaurant for 9 months and I'm so glad we finally tried it. For some context we've been to quite a few snazzy steak restaurants (Dakota's / Perry's) as of late but the amazing thing is this was the best steak we've had. We got a reservation on an open table and was quickly sat upstairs. The ambiance here is different from any of the other ones we've ate at. It's a little bit more relaxed. We ordered the shrimp and crab cake appetizers. The shrimp were good but nothing that we hadn't had anywhere else. The crab cake was essentially a crab mixture on top of a crostini. Not traditional whatsoever. My husband is not always a fan of traditional crab cakes. But he really love this because the crab actually was the star. We would totally order the crab cakes again. For dinner we both got Oscar steak and sides. We both agreed the steak was better than we have had anywhere else in Texas so far. The cooks were perfect and the most tender! The food is top quality, the music provides a great ambiance, the bar tenders are fantastic, and the crowd are good people. We went for dinner on a Saturday with reservations. Our waiter was amazing and very attentive. We had a few people come and check on us just to check. That was nice. We had calamari as an appetizer. It was delicious and quite a bit of it. The breading was light and it had a sweet chili sauce on top. My hubby ordered the 15oz delmonico medium rare and sweet potato fries and coleslaw. His steak was perfect, but didn't care for the coleslaw. I ordered the 22oz ribeye for two rare with burnt corn and Texas taters. The corn and taters were yummy. My 22oz steak was smaller than my hubby's 15oz steak, and was $30 more. A bit disappointing, which is why we gave it 3 stars. It was too expensive for the size and overall too expensive for the food. I never said anything about the size of my steak, but my hubby noticed and even checked the receipt to see if that's what they were supposed to give me, and it was. It was just quite small. We got the lemon cake to go and hubby said it was delicious. It was a nice experience, but because of the cost, and quality/size of food, we won't be back. read more

I had the 16oz Delmonico with Texas Taters and Burnt Corn. My wife had a filet mignon, Texas Taters, and the green beans. My steak was absolutely wonderful. It was one of the best I've ever had, and it was cooked to perfection. In all honesty, I'm not a huge fan of the burnt corn, or the Texas taters, and next time I will try two different sides. My wife thought both her steak and sides were fantastic. Since it was our anniversary, they brought us out a piece of cake with a sparkler in it, and sang us the Happy Anniversary song. It was a little corny, but we loved it. We ended up being seated at a table on the second floor. It's the first time we've sat up there, and I believe it's a little quieter than downstairs.
