I made an appointment one week in advance to have an entry set installed. I called before the scheduled date to confirm the appointment between 12noon and 2pm. At 2:30 I called to check on the delay and was put through to the "locksmith". He told me he was behind schedule but would be out soon and I told him that was not a problem. at 5:15, still no word, so I called again and the receptionist said she would put me through to him again. She did not and I never heard back from these clowns. The next day I called another company and got same day on time service. In short, don't waste your time waiting for a jerk that may not show up on the scheduled day or even have the courtesy to call you back. These guys are a total waste of time. read more

Do not use this company unless you like being ripped off! My wife called to have a bicycle lock removed. She was told over the phone there would be about a $30 service charge and she was told the same from the locksmith (Mr. Reeves) that arrived. Ken stated he could not pick the lock but offered to cut it off. My wife agreed and the lock was cut off within a couple seconds. Ken then charged my wife $200 ($30 service call fee, $25 lock removal fee, and a $129 labor fee). My wife was going to load the kids' bikes, pick them up from school, and was then literally leaving town to move to Florida as we just retired from the military. Way to go ripping someone off in a moment of need. The management of the Killeen TX location would not return my calls or emails and it took me over three weeks to get a response. They lied to me stating my wife knew the full price before the work was done and refused to refund the $129 labor fee that I was requesting saying that it would be the responsibility of the contractor that came out. I was finally able to speak with the gentleman that cut the lock and he too lied to me stating my wife knew the full price before he did the work. He also refused to refund the labor fee. The management also stated that they are a middle man and are not responsible for what labor fees their locksmiths charge. So unless you enjoy being ripped off and want to deal with a company that passes the buck down to their contractors instead of holding them accountable and honest, shop else ware for your locksmith. Here are three reasons why our experience with this company was dreadful: 1) The receptionist, after hearing us tell her to schedule us for a Monday at 10 am, put us down for 10 pm accidentally (we didn't know at the time of the call). I found out a few days later when I voluntarily called to confirm the appointment. They were able to move the time and I'm willing to consider it a simple mistake, though I'm stunned that their system even allowed them to schedule for 10 pm anyways. We certainly would not have had a locksmith if I didn't call a second time to confirm everything. 2) Our locksmith showed up very late for our 10 am appointment. He did not call to let us know. I called him 15 minutes after our 10 am time and he told us he was "on his way" and showed up at 10:30 am. Unacceptable. 3) The original quote for the appointment was "$50-60". The locksmith got to the public storage unit with us, glanced at the lock, and said it would be $150. The reason was: "it's a difficult lock". He was done in 20 minutes. Tripling the price from the quote is not justified by any means. We will be complaining to the company and requesting a refund of the difference soon. update: i went to A1 yesterday and made 2 more copy for 10.78 total. they messaged me and told me they gave me discount because it was original 50 dollar claiming it was because they thought someone referred me. how would they know that? they wouldn't. i don't live around that area and it is my first time there. stop lying to me. or anyone. there was no conversation between us when i went. and not even a how are you. so lying to customer and bad customer services? you actually would message me about my review. this is my actual experience. good luck with anyone else's that come here. this place is a scam. they will make copy for you without telling how much then charge you an INSANE AMOUNT after. under what right state of mind did the owner think of charging me 20 dollar plus tax to get a copy of one key without telling the world about it? So I needed to get my house rekeyed but wasn't going to spend all the money to have someone come to me. I'm pretty handy so I took the locks off the doors and was looking for a local locksmith to take them to. Most places I've called showed an address but said no one is actually there. Only when I called Texas premier locksmith I found a place that is really open for walk ins and not just mobile. They offered me their mobile service but when I said I can bring the locks to them, they said that will save me a lot of money....and they was the case. The service was quick and efficient, I waited there while they were re pinning my locks. Price was less than half of what it would have been as a mobile service. All and all was a great experience and I would use again if I had to. Nice people in the front counter too. Very friendly. read more

Being locked out of your car sucks let's face it but these people made the situation so much easier! I got locked out of my car last night right after work and all I wanted to do was go home. I called Texas premier and spoke to Jessica, who was extremely patient as I was a little flustered. She was very sweet, took down my information quickly and assured me that a technician would be arriving shortly. She told me it might be about 20 min but the technician Michael was very prompt and called me after to let me know he was on his way. He arrived in about 15 min and unlocked the car pretty fast too. So a little background here; earlier last year my Toyota Camry keyfob reached the magical age where it just disassembles in your hand and you are left with the remote and a keyblade that will no longer remain in the housing. I called Toyota and was of course quoted somewhere in the range of $500 for a replacement, because the internals of this thing are made from diamonds harvested on the moons of Saturn obviously. So I went around with the functional remote and my valet key for a while, until I realized I could just buy the OEM keyfob with an uncut key and just replace the internals with my own before having the key cut. Having done so I went by Home Depot to see if they could cut the key to match my own. They were not able to unfortunately. I decided to look on Yelp for a locksmith and found Texas Premier. In retrospect I could have found one closer to Irving where I live, but I had time to kill and also; hindsight, at least at first! I drove on down to Dallas and let them take a look. In my ignorance I had not realized when this incredibly valuable and well made keyfob fell apart, the anti-theft chip fell out and was lost as well. No problem, not only did they cut my key but they happened to have a chip on site they were able to quickly program to work with my car. I was out of there with a fully functional normal key plus my valet key now, and happy as can be. The folks there are friendly, helpful, capable, prompt, and the price was right It was definitely worth the drive and I plan to come to them for any locksmith needs in the future. Thanks again! PS for anyone trying to find them, they had just recently moved within the same strip to another door, suite 108 on the ground level. This place is awesome. I called ahead and they were the only lock smith place that had the key I needed. Then, when I got here Yair proved to me that I had the right key to program to my car, and, after explaininf my siution to him, he didnt think that programming a key to my car would fox the problem i was having, but did it anyway because i wanted to. He made sure that he did everything correctly by double and triple checking his work which is something I always appreciate in situations like this. Finally when my car didn't work (not cause of the keys but because of the previous issues) he did what he could to try and help, offered me some water and called a shop for an estimate for me. I was locked out of my car and chose this locksmith due to the high ratings on Yelp. The technician was very skilled and opened my car in probably less than a minute with some simple tools. So i should be fair and admit the service was good. What made me angry was the way they cheated customers on pricing. I called ahead and the lady said '$30 to call up the technician and $25 for the service'. After the service was completed, i was billed $95. I was surprised, and though not too convinced, i thought i might have heard incorrectly on the phone. I called again and she said she meant '25 AND UP for service', since when she gave the quote, she wasnt sure what tools the technician would use. Stupidest thing I've ever heard. She even dared me to call the police when i said i didnt want to pay what i didnt sign up for. Would anybody sign up to pay for a product/service with price tag 'X amount or more?'. So they could have said $200 or $1000 or any amount as they feel like it? $40 difference doesnt break anyone (which is why most people would probably end up paying any way to end the hassle, like I did), but this sneaky misleading strategy is very UNETHICAL. I would rather pay a higher up-front price than being cheated on like this. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE. They scam people by offering a quote over the phone, then the locksmith charges double once the work is done. The person answering phone claims $30 flat rate call-outs, plus price for work which starts at $25 for a simple pick a lock & goes up if more extensive work is done. Mine was a 30 second pick a lock & I was charged $80 total that included a military discount.. what a joke!!! When I called to complain I was told a supervisor would call me back. Never happened. I called back 5 days later & was told it is up to the technician to charge what he feels is necessary. Reading through their Google Maps & Yelp reviews, I noticed this has happened repeatedly. Roy (he wouldn't give his last name) squirted WD-40 in my lock. It took 2 minutes of his time and that was it. (Dumb on my part not to try it). He then said the total charge was $80 - $30 service charge and $50 for his brain - seriously. I called the dispatch and was told that they can set their own prices. He then said $40, I gave him $50 total. This is horrible customer service. I just checked the reviews on this company, their response to most all negative reviews is "this customer is not in our database or we have no record of this customer." My receipt number is 31474. First time I called Texas premier locksmith was when I was locked out of my apartment. They were very quick to answer the phone and very quick to respond to my call. The tech that came was driving a company van that was clearly marked and that made me feel really comfortable knowing that a local company is working on getting me back in my home. You never know... Maybe my request was too complicated: ECM was replaced, now I need it to recognize the PATS and the keys. After replacing it the mechanic said my next step is to call TX Premier Locksmith and they could handle it. The locksmith technician explained that if the mechanic didn't do the job correctly and the computer-based programming (different than 'on-board' programming?) failed then I would still be charged the programming fee. I asked whether or not this programming was the step I needed following ECM replacement. The technician wouldn't or couldn't explain exactly what service he could provide, only that it was 'programming', that it was going to cost me $120 whether or not it was successful, then got agitated and frustrated with me on the phone and hung up. I'm going back to the mechanic to tell my story about the locksmith he referred me to. I'm sure that between myself and the auto shop we can find a locksmith with better communication skills and customer service. read more

Called this company to schedule a dead bolt installation. I made it clear what I needed done. An appt was set up for the next day. The technician calls an hour prior to the appt to confirm and asks me again what I needed done. He then proceeds to tell me he's only been there a month and his boss doesn't recommend he comes out and install the dead bolt. Are you kidding me?!? And of course there is no one else who can come out and install the dead bolt the same day I had my appt. I recommend using someone else. read more

My wife had called them and scheduled a service because I needed a new key due to my only key being broken in half. The guy got there and ended up charging me $276! I thought that was way overpriced and well sins my wife had set it up I thought that was what she agreed on. Well come to find out they told her that the key was going to be anywhere from $95 to $150 and that they had a service fee of $30 for them to come to me. I thought it was a mistake so I had my wife call them sins she arranged the service and whoever answered the phone was rude and unprofessional giving her attitude just for asking what we were charged for. They told her that they also had to charge for the labor of cutting the key but they were very vague on why it was so much. I had to get a replacement key for my 2001 Toyota 4Runner. The guy that came out was very nice and professional. Since I didn't have an original key, they had to remove the lock cylinder to get the key code, cut a new key, and re-flash my ECM so that they could program it to recognize the new key. I paid them $690 to do this, which is a lot, but I was fine with it considering the amount of work. I drove the car for 3 weeks and then the key stopped working. I called Texas Premiere Locksmith and asked them to stand by their work, but they tried to tell me that "it just happens sometimes". I took it to another locksmith who told me that they key that they cut for me didn't have a chip in it and so the computer will only recognize it for a short time, and they see it fairly regularly. They had to cut a new key (with an RFID chip in it) and program it which cost me another $200. So, long story short, Texas Premiere Locksmith was incompetent, wouldn't fix their mistake, and I had to pay an extra $200 so that someone else could salvage their poor work. These guys are not competent or trustworthy. I wouldn't trust them for anything other than the most basic work. read more

Then we called Texas Premier Locksmith, Inc. and the locksmith Michel (or it might have been spelled Michael, guy with glasses about yay high!!) showed up and well, HE WAS AWESOME..!!!!!!!! This guy KNEW EXACTLY what he was doing. HE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND AND WAS THE NICEST GUY.!!! My brother and I were really, really, REALLY WORRIED, and getting a key stuck in the locked trunk of an 86' G-Body coupe is very much, A NIGHTMARE.!!! Might I add that this was NOT YOUR USUAL I LOCKED MY KEYS IN THE CAR WHEN I SET MY GROCERIES DOWN TYPE-SITUATION.. We thought we were going to have to have some auto body place look at it. I called Texas Premier Locksmith to have them come out to unlock my garage door. The office gave me a flat-rate price for the service call and then variable to unlock the house, starting at $25. I asked them to go ahead and dispatch the technician. When the technician called, he gave me a different flat-rate price and was a little abrasive when I inquired about how much more variable the charge would be. The office then called me back and gave me a flat-rate quote that was about $50 higher than other locksmiths I called. The whole deal was very shifty. I wouldn't recommend this vendor. read more
