We had: Bacon bacon grilledcheese. And Northern exposure, Swiss pepper jack, jalapeños, bacon and blackberry jam. Also the tomato basil soup. They were all delicious. They played good music too and it was very clean. Friendly place. read more

I'll update this review after I eat my lunch. I am making this post to include the current menu. I had a group order based on an old menu picture, and some items are no longer available. read more

Arrived 20mins after they "opened" the worker was scrambling to finish opening the store when we walked in. Got our order placed, took about 10 mins for two of our three orders to come out. Took another 8 mins for the last dish to come out. Ordered soup, was lukewarm, the sandwiches were ok, mediocre at best. Definitely expected more for what we paid. read more

Good food in small and clean atmosphere. I had the Southern Comfort, wifey had the pulled pork, and my daughter's the quesadilla. Food was hot and fresh. Nice lunch spot for a quick meal at a reasonable price. I enjoyed it much better than the diner next door. read more

Stopped in on a random. Wasn't disappointed. You would think you can't f up a grill cheese but you can. Their take on the grill cheese brings it to an eat. The triple threat a good cheese pull. Toasted just right. The chipotle chicken pesto yum. The ciabatta bread was soft not hard. I'd definitely come back and try other things on menu. read more

Staff was super nice. But food was mediocre. Soup was cold. Not fresh avocado spread. There was a roach dead on the floor, and the guy mentioned their fridge wasn't working. After we ate so far not sick LOL probably won't be back. read more

This is cute and quaint restaurant. Small in the inside but worth the food. Service was quick and prompt. You do have to order at the front counter. We had several sandwiches. I had the smoked rotisserie chicken melt and added black berry jam and ranch. 10/10. Excellent buttery toast with plenty of meat. The jam added a sweet taste that was complimented by the house made ranch. My husband got the Roadhouse. It was good. I traded him half of mine. My sister in law got the turkey bacon Swiss. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We would come back! read more

Wonderful sandwich and soup combo! Highly recommend, stopped in on my way through town!

Hands down one of the best in Copperas Cove! I have been there quite a few times, and I have ordered different items on the menu, and they do not disappoint! I have ordered to go and for dine in, and in both those options, the service has been friendly and respectful. The ambiance is great! They play jazz music and oldies or at least the times I've been there and between the ambiance and the great taste in food, it feels like it takes you to an oldies 50's dinner with great tasting food! it has become one of my favorites! And yeah, ok, one of the pics looks like no one is there, but trust me, a few people were in line ordering and some that were eating in the booth next to me. I'll definitely be going back. read more

The kid and I were having a chore day and stopped for lunch. I had heard some mixed reviews about the place but I like to make my own decisions so we came in. We were not disappointed. The sandwiches and soup are great and the service was polite and quick. We will definitely be back. Oh and there was a surprise visitor; the Easter Bunny came in. read more

The food was really good, we got the mixed fajita plate. The staff friendly and attentive. The only bad part was the wait to get in, we waited probably 45 mins but we did go on a Saturday at lunch. The inside of the restaurant was open and clean and it didn't take very long to get our food after we ordered. read more

Went there for the first time this evening, ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with ham and some soup. The sandwich was burnt on one side flipped over on the foil covered tray to conceal the poor cooking skills. The cook came out and asked if the food was good my response was it was ~. For a fairly new establishment I was very surprised at the lack of well cooked food, I mean its kinda hard to mess up a grilled cheese sandwich, but the cook of an admitted year of working there messed it up pretty good! Do yourself a favor customers go home and just make your own grilled cheese sandwich, its cheeper in cost and probably cooked to a higher standard. read more

My son mentioned he wanted to try this Diner. The sandwiches were good, but for the price, I expected the sandwiches to be bigger. The Diner is cute and has a nice atmosphere, and the young lady at the register was very nice and knowledgeable about all the different sandwiches. read more

Another surprising restaurant to find in the Cove !!! Great menu, including a very wide selection of grilled cheese sandwiches with a variety of fillings . The one we had was absolutely scrumptious and was only around seven dollars and we opted for the free pickle.. We cannot wait to go back.to try something new. I'm already salivating over the thought. read more

First time here. The cashier Katie was very helpful when helping me and my son decide what we wanted to eat. She was very patient with all of my questions. She even got the manager David to offer suggestions as well. I decided on the chicken chipotle pesto "which was amazing" thank you David for the suggestion. My son went with the smoked bbq pulled pork. My son liked it. Thank you Katie for your suggestion. Restaurant was very clean and will be back next time I am in cove. read more

This place was absolutely delicious! I had the northern exposure, which was soooo mouthwatering. My husband had the barbecue chicken melt, which he devoured before I even got a chance to taste it! Both sandwiches were gone before I even thought to take a picture of how delicious they looked lol the toddler even enjoyed his child's grilled cheese which had a very reasonable price! The staff was super friendly and if we happen to be in Copperas Cove again, we will definitely be back! *Note to the owner: You should definitely open up one of these in Buda! (I know my husband said South Austin, but Butor would be more cost-effective, and closer to us) read more

My husband and went there for lunch today. We ordered a grilled cheese with tomato soup and a BLT. After waiting 30 minutes I asked the cashier if our order had been started. She said she was sorry, that it had not been started. I asked her to cancel the order and refund our money. She canceled the order, but said she needed to call the manager about the refund. The manager did not answer her phone. We wound up leaving without our food or our refund. read more

First time customer, greeted with a friendly front end service help, and heard a "Welcome" from an older gentleman in the back. having already looked at the menu on line we asked for the Tomato Basil soup, Smoked BBQ Pulled Pork (Sourdough And Cheddar Cheese) and Northern Exposure (Swiss/Pepper Jack, Jalapeño, Bacon, BlackBerry Jam). As I waited for the order to be made, I was approached by the older gentleman that had welcomed me early, he was the owner, and I believe the sole person making food. Friendly, helpful and nice.....can't say anything more. The soup was wonderful, and the sandwiches were awesome. I enjoy cooking, my wife enjoys cooking, one of my sons is a chef, I worked as a waiter in my youth...I'm a horrible restaurant customer because I judge the cleanliness of the area, the service, the food, and the presentation like I expect from myself or my son and wife. This small owner-operated restaurant hit the marks on all. Sorry no photos......we ate it all too fast read more

Amazing customer service, and the food was delicious, I had the apple butter bacon melt, the apple butter was perfect, my husband had the buffalo chicken melt with tomato basil soup, he's so picky with his soup, he ate ALL of it. Highly recommend, huge plus it was clean and had great music! read more

Thanks but no thanks! Our first time there was a total bust. Although my husband's ham/cheese was okay (nothing wrong with it), it was not worth $10. Mine on the other hand, a BLTS, barely had one slice of Swiss in it. I had to hunt for the cheese. It was on white and NOT on sourdough bread as advertised. The tea (sweet & unsweet) was basically water. I dumped the tea and got a soda. I did tell the cashier/attendant about my disappointing grilled cheese and all she could offer was have it done over or "just let the cook know for next time". I had already eaten half and we couldn't stick around for a remake. Plus these kind of sandwiches are not very good cold or reheated. No offer to discount our meal or any other compensation. Definitely not a good first impression. read more

The customer service was immaculate they are SO sweet! The food came out hot, fresh, and fast! Delicious. Wonderful everything about it! They treated my children with so much kindness and patience and gave them coloring books and talked to them. Love it! WILL be back read more

The food was amazing! I had the Chipotle pesto sandwich and it was delicious!! The food is outstanding. A few different twists on a classic sandwich that turned out great. The service is walk up and wait, but the wait is not long even when they are busy. The ambiance is nice, upscale and clean The only drawback are the prices, they are not outrageous but certainly not cheap. Try it you will like it. read more

This is my second time trying this place. So far, the service and quality is consistent. The environment was clean and appealing to the eye, with a relaxing playlist playing throughout the store. The girl at the register is extremely polite and professional. I got the aloha sandwich combo with tomato basil soup. There is also a chip combo option instead of soup. The sandwich itself was amazing, I was worried the pineapple would make it too sweet, but the ham and bacon on it evened it out amazingly. The tomato basil was very rich and had a slight kick to it, not a spicy kick though. Dipping my sandwich in the soup brought the meal to a 15/10! I came in right when it opened and in the half hour I was here, two groups came in so I'm sure this review isn't needed. Overall, this is a great local business to support and bring your friends to. read more
