Where do I start lol! This is my 3rd time dealing with this company, might I add we were WRONGFULLY towed 2 of the 3 times. We didn't pay fees for the 1st and 2nd towing because they were in the wrong. Mind you we missed 2 days of work because of this, we are a one car family so getting to the towing place was an adventure, can take an Uber without a car seat because guess what. The car seat is in my car that you towed! But we are just given a bigger fuck you an told to deal with it because they won't drop it off where they got it even when it was wrongfully towed. Now to this morning which I'm a big girl I can admit it was my fault, I didn't renew my parking pass the night before, got home around 11-midnight an it was picked up at 1:10am I had work at 9 this morning but spent the better half of an hour trying to locate the car because when we called the non emergency line to locate my car they said it wasn't in the system, she assured us that it can take up too 2 hours sometimes for cars to be uploaded into the system. How is it that a car picked up at 1am isn't in the system by 9am? So when we finally come across the company by randomly calling all the places around our apartment. Got told how much and my husband is the one speaking to the lady on the phone. I'm in the back ground. Not speaking to the lady on the phone. I wasn't even loud even for her to hear. I said oh great $200 when we can even make it in the first place yay!. And she( lady on the phone) stops her conversation with my husband to say " that's just how business works ma'am" and my husband was like excuse me? She repeated her self. And he's said wtf? Stfu! What's the address and she hung up. We called back she said figure it out your self and hung up again. Called again got the same thing. Not even getting a word in edge wise. I called on my phone I got the same thing. I said hey look I called you not my husband. I need the address, it's not in the system with the police, you aren't telling use the address, I can't figure it out I I can't find your location. An she finally shut up long enough to hear me and gave me the location to the place. I'll start by saying I have video evidence/ proof that my property was illegally towed. Disclaimer: This statement is true to he best if my knowledge, is recited from memory and may have some details missing that are contained in the video evidence which I can produce upon request. This tow company came to my apartment complex and attempted to tow my truck and two trailers when I caught them and initially stopped them. I recited the TDLR rules that regulate their industry and state that " If you return to your car and it is being hooked-up to a tow truck but IT IS NOT FULLY hooked up and ready for towing, you can keep your car WITHOUT paying a CHARGE. You do not need to prove ownership of the car in this instance.". After I told them this they unhooked my vehicle and then rejoined it up and towed it away without my permission. I am a resident at the property they towed my vehicle and two trailers from and have a parking pass in the windshield of my truck. Furthermore the tow drivers didn't fully hookup my truck and trailers before pulling them and dragged my truck with the emergency brake engaged as well as dragged my trailer on two flat tires causing damage to my tires and wheels. I have contacted the owner of the towing company Gary and demanded that he release my truck and trailers which were illegally towed and he has refused. I think he knows I can prove the tow was illegal and has offered me a discount which I will reject. I do not intend to be held financially responsible for this illegal tow. Just google this company, you'll find lots of stuff on them. The owner of this location is Michael Phillips son of Gary Phillips who is known in the towing community to be a fraudulent business owner. He's been sued and multiple articles are written about his fraudulent activities. Gary has bribed properties to sign a towing contract with them. His daughter, Lisa, is known for lying and being racist to their victims, for lack of a better word, among other things. Ucentre on Fry Street with American Campus Communities is the property my car was towed from not even an hour after being parked. My car was parked in the visitors area as it should be and registered in the app with typo in the license plate number (the addition of a letter with all other info in the app being correct). They will do anything to steal your money and make it appear legitimate. read more

I visited my friend in Texas and stayed at her apartment. An app was required to register a visiting vehicle. She registered my car but accidentally put a different model--license plate and make were correct and they still towed. When we called to ask why it was towed (at the time did not know she put a buick century instead of lesabre) the receptionist was rude and said we didn't sign in at all. After the apartment complex called, we figured out that it was towed due to wrong model entered. They were also rude in person when going in to pay. The apartment complex said they've had multiple issues with them and hoping to switch companies. I hope they do. Not understanding, hostile, and rude. I dont care if the receptionist is the owners daughter, work on your customer service!!!! read more

I was staying at The Arch as a visitor, and registered in the ApartmentPermits app per the complex's request. It was late on a Friday night and I had gone out to dinner, and was returning to the complex and I noticed the guy, off property attaching my car. Driver argued and said I wasn't in the system with the app; however, I knew I was. He showed me his phone and sure enough, my plates are not coming up. I was charged $188.30 to get my car back. After several phone calls to check if I am in the app to ensure I wouldn't get towed AGAIN, I realized the woman kept saying "The Ridge", and after correcting her a fifth time, she says "Oh! You're from The Arch?!? Not The Ridge?!?" I don't know what they were doing, but my best guess is the driver didn't know which complex he was at, ran my plates under a complex I wasn't registered at, saw my car "not in the system", and towed me. You better believe it ruined my weekend. I eventually got a manager on the phone and waited for 3 hours on a Monday morning to get a refund. I had to miss class that Monday because I live in Arlington and wasn't able to go down to my morning class AND get a refund at the same time. I would give them zero stars if I could. This happened about 3 weeks ago and as a college student, I am still sort of upset about it. read more

One star review isn't what they deserve, zero would be more appropriate. This morning I walked out of my apartment complex and found my car missing. I immediately called Texas Impound and they informed me that they did not tow my car (the woman was quite rude on the phone). After searching for the license plate, calling the insurance company, and the police department, Texas Impound did in fact tow my car. So we tried to call twice more to confirm and they did not answer. We went to the location and the girl tried to tell me my tag for my apartment was not on my vehicle (it was) and that it was supposed to be on the front windshield by the registration. Every other vehicle in our complex is on the back left windshield (where it's supposed to be) and that's why it was towed. Apparently it was a "new driver" and he only towed my vehicle and not the rest of the cars that have the same tag. LUCKILY, they released my vehicle free and clear but this was a nightmare to a Monday. read more

She asked why if her truck was parked in a spot clearly marked for visitors that she was still towed. They told her she must register her vehicle through an app each time she visits. She then asked why this was not posted in the visitors section, and was told it isn't the complexes job to notify her of this policy. So we are now out $188 plus the $25 stolen out of her middle console to get her truck back. Crooks! one star only because i'm forced to put something well my boyfriends car has been towed here multiple times from me forgetting to register him at my apartment complex. he parked in visitors parking but I understand that's on me to register. HOWEVER tonight I registered him at 9:36 typed in a K instead of a C the car was towed two minutes later( she claimed) the lady on the phone explained that they look at the ones with similar numbers and that she saw how i mistyped it and that they consider those situations as valid. then she said midtown didn't inform them u could park in the front. then she said that my car wasn't towed till 9:45 but a picture of it was taken at 9:33 (before he was even in Denton). she switched up the story multiple times and i'm sure because she was not being truthful. I went to the place to speak to them, they denied them saying any of this and pretended like I was making it all up. To make this even more disgusting I am a disabled veteran. Before I parked I read the sign on the dumpster and it still says park where visitors park. They are a parasitic company that has been given permission by various businesses, like " The Woodlands of Denton, apartment complex, to drive around their property and tow cars that don't have a permit. The complex does not call to have a car towed, TIS, looks for them and may or may not, contribute a portion of the high impound fee, to the business' that grant them permission. The only issue TIS would have with reviews, is if it impacted the business that they deal with, to tow unsuspecting cars from apartment complexes. Don't call them to tow your vehicle. read more

So I was hanging with friends at this apartment complex called the forums at the pool having a great time, I literally parked right in front of the sign that says "VISITORS PARKING" there were plenty of spots open. Anyway while I was in the hot tub I got this weird feeling to just go check on my car, anyway I get inside to grab my water, I see these idiots start to Jack my car up while I'm right by my car, I talk to the guys (dumb and dumber) and they want $70 CASH IN FIVE MINUTES as you imagine I laughed in their faces and called them crazy, I hop in my car again, they drag my car out to the front of the complex so they can try to use that in their defense and make it seem like I chased them down (I didn't) they call another tow truck and those guys basically try to bully me saying things like "you're gonna get out or we're gonna make you" and not giving me no other option than to pay them cash for their 'troubles', then they started saying "you're gonna be arrested" because they thought I was drunk and high, thank god im sober. The cops were called (the Lady was rude as hell too) in the end the only thing that happened was they wasted an hour trying to bully me, and wasted 30 minutes of a police officer writing a "criminal trespass" for me so I can never go back which Is fine I don't wanna be around a place who does business with people like Texas Impound LLC, do not let these people bully you. They will tell you lies. If you were in the right tell them they're wrong. They cannot legally tow your car if you're in it. They don't deserve a rating and they need to fuck off..seriously.I'm a college student and I stay at midtown, one of the apartment complexes that they bribed in order to get money to tow our cars. And honestly it sucks because we have to use an app called park mobile every time we have guests come over and it's so easy to get caught up and forget.I do understand yes we have to register their vehicles, however I wish there was a way to register a car for a whole weekend and not have to worry about it every 24 hours because it's not convenient. They are sad..sad.. people and very negative they literally sit in the back of the complex and turn their headlights off and wait. They have nothing better to do, and once you go to pick your car up the lady up front is rude they have horrible customer service. I also heard that they have a current lawsuit against them. My daughter was living in the Midtown Apartments. When her boyfriend visited, she registered his car on the app they use and he parked in guest parking. Soon after this company was towing it. My daughter saw this and stood in front of the tow truck and showed the driver on her phone that it was registered. He then dropped the car pretty hard and left. Weeks later I loaned her my pickup truck to load her belongings to move. She parked it in guest parking and took a picture on her phone. She registered it on the app however she put and I instead of a 1 for one of the digits on the license plate, everything else was correct a white chevy pickup. Soon after they towed it because of the I instead of the 1. When she went to recover the truck, they charged her $188.30 to get it. On the way home she noticed wires dangling from my drivers side mirror, this was at night. She pulled over and the cap to the mirror was missing. That cost me $98 to replace. This company just preys on college kids and tows their cars for any reason. Most unethical, irresponsible, untrustworthy, towing company and these apartments that allow them in need to be responsible too. read more

This company uses a app to register vehicles that should be on property. This weekend, our neighborhood watch notified me of a Black Tahoe with dark tinted windows driving around the park. What he was doing was following guest coming into the park and following them to see where they park. Found out it was the towing company scout that was reporting in and having cars immediately towed, even before they could register or even unload their suitcases. The APP requires the phone number of the guest which you have to go in to get. They were towing people when they went in to get that information. Was not even parked even 5 minutes before they towed it. Then they claim it was towed because it was not registered until after it was towed. Have all of this on security cameras and video. I used to drive a towtruck so I know the laws on towing. This practice is not legal. But from reading other reviews (and there are quite a few of them), the company does not care. read more
