Best moving experience ever! Glad that I hired them rather than other cheaper options (which I used to go for for some marginal savings). The staffs in the moving are Mitchell, Paul, and Sam. The staffs are professional. They set up the protections thoroughly despite that it is obvious they would not damage the parts, including but not limited to the door frame, the floor, the stair railing, etc. They handled the disassemble and reassemble of furnitures well. The staffs are efficient. They finished loading and unloading a master room worth of stuff in one hour. They did not rush but ensure tasks are done properly. Neither do they slow down to steal breaks. The pace was consistent and effective. The staffs are well communicative. As my moving involved extra tasks (moving an electronic bed disassemble a bed frame for storage), I found it easy to communicate the requests (English's not my native) and confident to trust that they would do the work right, and they did. On the rate, it is worth the spent. They charged 180/hour for 3 people + 1 truck, with minimum of 2 hours and double the time on drive. All standard charges. I truly appreciate the 2-hour minimum (instead of 3 that most companies enforce); it perfectly fits for a move of one room/studio apartment. I requested a move within 2 days and Mitchell accommodated. They do most contact through text which had me worried bc I'm not super comfortable with that. But he let me know the exact ETA of his moving crew and arrived exactly at that time. This was local move and trying to save money I really needed to get it done within the 2 hour minimum. Out of state moves are stressful. Plus, it's way too easy to get scammed. Way too easy. I don't know how my phone number ended up on a brokers list but I was instantly flooded with numerous calls from some very shady people, who gave me numerous too good to be true quotes but wanted a deposit without ever seeing my house. These guys are insanely responsive and accomodating to all your requests. We rescheduled twice with them and they were able to accommodate us both times. Phenomenal customer service. The rates very fair and competitive and flexibility in number of movers is awesome to be able to have. Bonus: they will constantly let you know if someone canceled/rescheduled and will ask if you want to be the first time slot of the day which is always nice to be. But they also cushion enough between various moves throughout the day. These guys are worth every penny and then some. We're moving from CA to OR so unfortunately we couldn't hire them for the whole move, but we rented a POD so they packed it for us. Booking them was very easily done over text, and they were accommodating when I had to change the schedule. They arrived punctually and got to work right away. They wrapped our furniture perfectly (and quickly!) and loaded the POD expertly for maximum use of the space. They really live up to the Tetris name; that POD didn't have one square inch of spare room when they were done with it. I used Tetris movers this past weekend to help me move my 1 bedroom loft into a 2 bedroom townhouse. I cannot speak more highly of these guys -- I've used a bunch of moving services around the bay over the years, and although I am not planning on moving again for a long time - I will 100% keep going back to Tetis!! They have - hands down - the best prices anywhere. 130/hr for 4 guys?! Thats the going rate for 2 guys at most companies! They showed up - each person introduced themselves, shook my hand - were nice to my dog (bonus points!) and immediately started moving my stuff. Overall, it took about 3 hours (10 minute break after the 2hr mark) and they were fantastic about asking where I wanted things put - I swear, I was watching these guys pick up heavy boxes (like, seriously heavy!) and literally run up and down the stairs... :) I couldn't recommend them more -- if I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! read more

Super happy with the service I received from Tetris Moving. Every detail was discussed and confirmed via text, which was incredibly convenient because I could easily make arrangements while working, and the contact person was very thorough and responsive. I was worried about how the process would go during a pandemic, but the staff followed all health and safety precautions. Masks were worn at all times and they made sure not to crowd rooms with more than 2 people during the entire move. Everyone was very courteous and respectful and all my items were handled with care. Two days after the move, I noticed my TV power cord was missing as the TV was wrapped separately by the movers. I texted them after hours to see if it had been left behind on the moving truck and didn't expect to hear back until the next day, but their top notch service reps got back to me immediately and said they would have someone check for me. These guys were great, very professional, very friendly, and very efficient with their time. After calling nearly every moving company in the bay, what attracted me to Tetris Moving (aside from their awesome name) was their rate: The cheapest you can get for movers is $84/hour cash for 2 movers and a truck with a 3 hour minimum. Tetris had an $85/hour cash policy for 3 movers and a truck with a 2 hour minimum, with half hour pro rates after that. Was a no-brainer for me. One word of caution though is that if you live far from San Jose (in my case, Palo Alto), the estimated drive time to you gets factored into your time. BUT they don't seem to double the drive time to your destination, so it evens out really. They still managed to keep my (small) move under 2 hours so that was perfect. read more

Two hour minimum for crew of two men and they really work for you and bust their ass to finish in the time ordered. These guys finished 8 minutes early AND they had to carry up three flights of stairs. Beyond impressed. You get more than your money's worth.
