Best Veal Parmigiano and Rigatoni ala Vodka I've ever had, full stop. Don't pass on this one.

Ravioli and meatballs

I have been to Tesoro many times over the years, however, it's been several years since my last visit. My wife and I attended a family dinner there for Easter. We had a large group: 18 adults and 3 children. Tesoro did not disappoint. The staff handled our large group like a well oiled machine. Very attentive, friendly and efficient. The owner circulates the restaurant and ensures that all guests are enjoying themselves. The food here is fantastic. Traditional Italian cuisine prepared to perfection. We began with cold Antipast, eggplant rolatini, baked clams and calamari. Unfortunately, I was unable to photograph all these dishes as they were gobbled up very quickly. The eggplant was outstanding. Creamy riccota filling covered with a wonderful red sauce . Baked clams were great . Whole clams perfectly seasoned. Antipast contained quality cured meats and cheeses. Calamari was lightly breaded and cooked perfectly. For the main course my wife had the veal Tesoro. She described it as unique and delicious. It was stuffed with eggplant and mozzarella and covered in an exceptional red/brown sauce. The only drawback of this dish is that it does not include a pasta or other side. She would have loved the sauce on penne. This appears to be a theme on many entrees. Including that would have been a huge plus. I went with ravioli and meatballs. The meatballs here are great. They contain a blend of meats that result in a distinctive texture and flavor. They have a great array of traditional favorites. My son chose the chicken parm which he enjoyed. Although we moved out of the area a few years ago we will definitely be back soon. Well worth the 45 minute drive. Tesoro is an old school ristorante that has been in this location for over 45 years. They truly provide a fantastic dining experience reminiscent of years gone by when the guest experience and the food was extremely important to the owner and staff. Definitely put this on top of your list when considering a fine Italian meal.

Definitely a must try ! Very hospitable staff , they were able to do substitute couple items and stuff . Food is partially Halal. Great Italian Restaurant in Westbury with nice ambiance.

Risotto

Actually 2 1/2 stars. Penne ala vodka and meatballs enjoyed! Pasta bolognese very salty. Veal Castagna disappointing in all regards... grey chewy veal, chestnut sauce lacking compared to so many others tried. Cauliflower, wee bit of, and salty. Risotto no layered flavors, nor creamy Pricey. Service was friendly and confident.

Wonderful sole oreganata.

This is a lovely family owned restaurant worthy of this praise. They are conveniently located on Old Country Road in Hicksville at the end of a small strip mall. They also have their owned dedicated parking lot. You enter into a nie medium size restaurant with a wonderful bar area just to sit and relax. Plenty of windows allow ample lighting during the day and the evening light is soft and effective. You feel very comfortable in these settings. We came as part of our Kiwanis club meeting and had our own area with one very long table to seat us all. The staff here is very attentive to detail and paid a lot of attention to our group. They took our orders first so our meeting could begin and they would just bring our food. My meal was simple and tasty.. A nice cold crisp salad to start followed by an order of sole oreganata. The sole was fresh and tasty. A nice size order for dinner but not enough to also finish at home. The meal went very well and was followed by some coffee. This is a comfortable place to come fo a meal and I am happy to recommend it to all. am looking forward to returning and ordering off the menu. KUDOs to the team at Tesoro Ristorante Italiano

Good old school style Italian. All the dishes are fresh and very flavorful no complaints. I do wish the service was a bit better but besides that I recommend! (Get the veal parm!)

Our office held the annual Christmas party here last week and I'm so glad they did because this will be my new go to for Italian on Long Island . Family owned and operated , very attentive service , warm welcoming , treated like family even though it was our first time here . Great drinks , great food . Everything was fresh, presentation was on point , the appetizers were endless , everything I tried was exceptional. For dessert I had the raspberry cheesecake ,it was out of this world

Foundry Tavern in Hicksville was a HUGE surprise for me. I knew the place had been completely…read morerenovated, but I honestly wasn't expecting the food to be as good as it was. First off, the inside is beautiful. They did an incredible job with the renovation, and I loved all the little details, especially the custom 300-pound manhole covers they're using as tables around the bar. Even better, everyone working there was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Now the food! We started with the Baked Clams, and these were legit. You could've served them to me at an Italian restaurant and I wouldn't have questioned it. The Nonna's Ribs were probably one of the biggest surprises--slow-braised pork ribs with cherry peppers and finished on the grill. Fall-off-the-bone tender, tons of flavor, and I loved that they weren't just drenched in BBQ sauce. The Firebird crispy chicken sandwich was fantastic, and the Steakhouse Sandwich with sliced NY strip, mushrooms, provolone, crispy onions and horseradish aioli was also very well done. But that Manhole Burger deserves some special attention. Beef, American cheese, caramelized onions and dijonnaise on brioche. Simple combination, executed REALLY well. This was an outstanding burger and absolutely something I'd order again. And I can't leave out the fries. They're hand-cut in house, super thin and crispy, and exactly how I like my fries. Think that addictive thin fast-food style, except made fresh and much better quality. If you remember this location from its previous ownership, give it another shot. This is a completely different experience. Beautiful restaurant, genuinely friendly staff and food that exceeded my expectations. Foundry Tavern is a Hicksville hidden gem that deserves more attention--especially for lunch. I'll definitely be back.

Heard the guy next to us order a French dip and the waiter said great, we have only 2 left. So when he came to us I ordered and he said great timing it's the last one. Took 45 minutes to get our strawberry salad which was delicious. Another 3o minutes go by (and the guy next to me who ordered the other French dip had already finished and left) So the strawberry waiter, after more than 1.15hr walk over and says "hey, we ran out of the French so I ordered you the steak sandwich. Huh? 1 hour and fifteen min later you ran out and the other guy already ate and left? I said great, but I'm not paying for it. 10 min later the owner came out. He could not have been a friendlier, responsible and all around nice person. It wasn't that he not only covered my meal but the table but it was the way he handled it. Owning a restaurant is not easy and problems happen. Food - 8/10 Prices 9/10 Place 8/10 I would not only recommend this place but they have absolutely earned my business. I obviously can't give a 5 because of the incident but I will change this to a 5 when I go back and get the service I have a feeling I'll receive. This owner deserves the business because he knows how to run a business. Money follows the people not the other way around.

The space features a contemporary design with a nice bar area, and the waitstaff were friendly, attentive, and on point throughout the evening. They also offer a happy hour menu (though it didn't apply to our visit). Food was more mixed. Overall presentation on the dinner plates missed the mark. The lasagna was solid (about a 3.0)--flavorful enough, but it just sat unevenly in the dish with no real visual appeal. The special osso buco came with a sauce that leaned too sweet; the risotto underneath was tasty, but the dish as a whole didn't quite impress. On the brighter side, the special soft-shell crabs were excellent--served in a Française-style sauce that hit the mark both in flavor and presentation. The fried calamari was fresh and tasty, elevated by the smart addition of fried artichoke hearts. Dessert sealed the night well, the homemade rice pudding sprinkled with walnuts was delicious and definitely worthy of a permanent spot on the menu. A pleasant evening overall, driven by strong atmosphere and service, with a couple of standout dishes balancing out the less memorable ones.

From rich and smoky to spicy, tangy, creamy, and refreshing. Banjara Tikka brought tender chicken thighs layered with yogurt, fried onion and garlic. Mauryaji Basket Chaat delivered chickpeas, potato, tamarind, mint, pomegranate and a creamy yogurt mousse. The Chicken Seekh Kebab was perfectly seasoned and savory with pickled laccha onion, while the Guntur Chilli Chicken Bao turned up the heat with Guntur red chili, sesame and refreshing beetroot shikanji shots. The vegetarian dishes absolutely held their own as well. Chilli Momo with carrot, sesame and seaweed, came out with a soft, delicate bite and a subtle chew, filled with a lightly spiced vegetable mix that leaned savory and aromatic rather than overpowering heat. The Paneer Makhni was rich, velvety, and deeply comforting. The paneer stayed soft and pillowy, soaking up a buttery tomato-cashew gravy that was slightly sweet, gently tangy, and finished with that unmistakable fenugreek aroma that tied everything together. The mains were just as unforgettable. Laal Maas came in bold and unapologetic. Tender goat slow-cooked until it practically melted off the bone, swimming in a deep, smoky gravy built on mathania chilies that brought slow heat. The Shrimp Malai Curry was the complete opposite in tone. Silky coconut milk wrapped around plump tiger shrimp, with Bengali whole spices adding a gentle sweetness and aromatic depth that made the dish feel light yet indulgent at the same time. And somehow dessert still had room to impress. Rose Kulfi was creamy, floral and sweet without being overwhelming. Drinks included everything from the floral, mezcal-and-rooza Gulabo to Mango Lassi. And as someone who historically doesn't like anything rose flavored, I enjoyed both the drink AND the dessert. Just as good as the food, was the service. Other than food, service was great with very kind and attentive staff. They also made my birthday very special with free dessert and a sparkler! My friend did have a bit of a problem with her drinks, having ordered two of the alcoholic beverages and not enjoying either. Her first one had been too much juice and syrup with not any alcohol to taste, and her second one was the opposite with no juice and too strong alcohol taste. She did say that it was probably her personal preference that made her have an issue, but the staff were very understanding and a manager did come over to make sure everything was okay.
