We've stayed here a few times, but this time we ended up in the Player's Suite which is amazing. Very spacious with plenty of seating and a jetted tub in the room by windows. It also has a nice bathroom area and walk-in closet. If you're staying for a while you may want to request more hangers because there are only about 5 plus the two on the robes. Not really any dresser space either. In general it's a great room with automatic blackout shades. It's not like we were spending all our time in the room either. So it was plenty big to have friends meet up here before heading out, etc. we'd come back again to stay either in a standard room or the suites (preferably the suites). Staff are always friendly here too from the valet and entire check-in staff to restaurant, maintenance, casino floor, etc. all staff are smiling and ready to assist.

There was no "Row" and there was a whole lot more coemption back then. Harrah's, Harolds Club, Mapes, Silver Spur and others. There was a grocery store where the Silver Legacy now sits, and the Eldorado was a standalone offering. Given its age and how many casinos have come and gone since they opened, the property is well maintained and seems to keep with the times. The buffet was the last one in downtown with high-quality food (sad loss). What remains of the food choices is solid including the amazing coffee and freshest pastry shop, they are worthy competitors for the area. The Row concept has really kept the Eldorado a viable choice for visitors because they essentially get 3 very different casinos for the price of 1 under one continuous roof, all with free parking. Don't forget the many downtown events that they sponsor or are very involved with. The 44th Great Italian Festival is coming up October 10 & 11th in 2026. It is typically the 2nd weekend in October annually.

My room was on the twelfth floor and amazingly quiet but the hallway flooring would benefit from a deep cleaning. Although I didn't gamble, the hotel hosts a nice casino floor and several other amenities like a bowling alley, a large pool, an arcade, a sensory rooms, an escape room and a host of restaurants that range from Jamba Juice, coffee or burgers to a fancy steakhouse. I had dinner at Una Mas because they specialized in Mexican food. Overall the food and drinks were okay. The highlight of my stay was the Grand Sierra Spa! Although their steam room wasn't available, I was able to take advantage of their sauna, coed spa room and a massage. The ambiance was beautifully decorated and they offered complementary snacks and tea as well as one beverage with champagne or a mimosa as an option. I was going to give the hotel 3 stars but the spa pushed it to 4 stars!

When I got to my room and tried it on, it was immediately clear that it was completely mislabeled--it fit like a size Medium at best. I immediately went back down to the Gift Shop to request a simple size exchange for a XXL (which they had in stock). I was not looking for a refund or a return, just an accurate size for a garment that was defective in its manufacturing labels. The cashier, Jake, completely refused to help me, stating that "all sales are final" and pointing to a placard. Jake was crude, unhelpful, and showed absolutely zero customer service skills or common sense. Hiding behind a "final sale" policy when the store sold a mislabeled product is unacceptable. I know my size perfectly well, and this was not an XL. To be treated so poorly as a guest staying in the hotel over a simple size swap is a terrible look for this casino. Management needs to look into how Jake treats paying guests and review this ridiculous, unyielding policy for defective items. I will not be spending any more money here.

Hubby emailed Element for our dates and all we had to do was bring the paper certificate. Since the certificate itself didn't mention what type of room we'd get... we were just waiting for the "element " of surprise. LOL Check in staff made the process easy. And even helped us search for our Bonvoy Marriott Rewards number (that way we get credit for our stay). This was our first time staying at an Element property. The interior and furniture give West Elm catalog vibes. There's that scent from the lobby, you can even smell from the outside (with doors closed) and I'm not sure if it's White Linen or White Tea... but, it's very relaxing. Upon check in- we were already exhausted. I read the day before our visit (from a Google review)- that a guest had changed into her bathing suit, walked all the way to the pool- and was disappointed to read a note that the area was closed for maintenance. So, when hubby was headed back down to the lobby to return the luggage buggy- I asked him to inquire about the pool. Since nothing was mentioned when he initially checked into the hotel. When he came back up to the room- he did mention the pool is closed. Well, bummer! That was the ONE thing I was truly looking forward to at the property, was a good soak. Well, that saved me the time from getting into the bathing suit and walking all the way down- then coming all the way back up to our room. :/ * Suggestion- Staff should just automatically tell guests about this issue. We had a Standard King room, that was actually situated behind the neon ELEMENT sign at the guest lobby driveway entrance. Thank goodness for black out curtains. I like a good nightly city view- but, being directly behind neon signs (or LED) was a bit much. Although there's no cushioned sofa, there was a decent chair in the room- that I could sit down in and enjoy my 4am coffee. The other chair is a stiff desk chair. Other perks that offered daily at the lobby bar is a Relax Hour. From (5-6pm, I believe) is complimentary wine & beer on tap. Along with cheese cubes & sliced French bread. The following hour, complimentary hot loose leaf tea. 24 hour coffee is available in the lobby that has a huge sitting area along with a communal table. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. There's a hot kitchen, and on our first day was either Honey Ham or Roast Beef omelette. Our second morning was French Toast with sausage links. Of course, the Chobani Yogurt bar was the highlight to breakfast! We had complimentary parking (garage). And Element is in a great location. A quick walk to Reno Public Market and there's a huge dog park off Red Drive.

I was then put through the ringer when I called Marriot Corp. who are"investigating" the false advertising situation. This took over an hour and now its been approaching two weeks and the charge has not been removed from my account. Dont stay here if you are expecting a pool. Super disappointing not only for the financial situation but for my son who was looking forward to his bday weekend.

Yesterday, my Lexus stopped charging, then the lights in the hallway wouldn't go on.. Second time in the last two weeks and getting very frustrated.. You ever meet someone and you get a feeling of relief.. his laid back demeanor and experience put all my thoughts back in a happy place.. Lucked out as he had some time to install and run conduit.. plus add another outlet...and replace the breaker My life is complete with having a go to electrician!.. Thank you so much!!

We got to choose between staying on the 3rd floor (spa/gym floor) or a higher floor, and we chose for the higher floor which had a decent view. The casino seemed older than others we been to, but it seemed the hotel portion was updated. There were several elevators we could use, and it was nice that it was a clear glass elevator so you could see out. We did not hang out at the casino, but it also seems a bit older. You can definitely smell the smoke in here. We only tried the Purple Parrot for dining and it was solid. There seemed to be a seafood restaurant and it smelled quite fishy in that area. They have an arcade on the second floor for kids. We ended up finding several machines that were broken so we got some free play out of it, which was fun. The arcade seems to be open 24/7 but redeeming rewards may be during limited hours. The spa was great! The gym area was also pretty good as well, many machines to use. They also have yoga mats to use, but my only critique is there is not much space to lay your yoga mat in without feeling like you're in someone's way. However, the gym was not very busy at all in the morning time when I went. In the gym, they had a water refill station, towels, and fruit offered. Remember to bring your hotel card because they will ask that it's scanned at the entrance. Service was friendly at the front desk at check in and check out. We also requested some more makeup wipes from the house staff and they provided extra with no questions asked. Overall, it was a solid experience staying at Atlantis!

My cousins picked this location because they are members of a group who used this chain of hotels and casinos often. I personally am not attracted to gambling , so I don't frequent this type of hotel. As I said the rooms were nice, but this hotel caters to the gambling crowd. My cousins got their rooms on comp, because they gamble here so often and that is great, but if you are not a heavy gambler and you are not getting a free room I cannot recommend the Atlantis.
