We stayed here one night before flying home from the Reno airport. The lobby was clean and had plenty of space for seating. The room was spacious and I really enjoyed the layout. Our window faced the busy street but we didn't hear much noise from the 3rd floor. I slept very comfortably on the bed and found both the couch and the desk chair to be comfortable as well. Breakfast was a really treat. I appreciated the egg item of the day which was a bacon egg and cheese sandwich that was really quite cook with freshly made egg to order eggs. The breakfast space also had easy grab and go items like granola bars and fruit cocktail. We were at the airport in no time. My only grumble may have been that the walk between the parking and the hotel wasn't covered. We had a cold rain falling and I wish the short walk had a roof of some sort. Not a need, just a want. I'd definitely stay here again. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance that I'd want to try. read more

Brand new, pristine, beautiful property in Reno! Although I was in Reno for a conference at one of the local casinos, I was so happy to stay at the Element. As someone who can be smoke sensitive, it was so nice to have a fresh spot to stay with clean air! One step into a casino and my eyes are burning. Instead, it was nice to have a calm and quiet oasis and this place as a home base to escape to. The property is newly built so everything still feels very clean and modern. I was upgraded to a nice suite that had a lovely living room and kitchen area. The decor was cute and I had a very comfortable stay. In addition, I appreciated that although the amenities are limited, they had a great restaurant and bar in the lobby. I ordered some mac n cheese and a brownie sundae that were both delicious. They also have free breakfast. Besides the basics, they had a crepe station where they were freshly making mini crepes with fruit. It was a nice touch. They serve three different types of tea in the evening and there is also free wine tasting with small bites in the evening not to mention the breakfast, which is very nice too. The only slight downside was that my room faced a busy road, and even with earplugs, I could occasionally hear loud vehicles. We stayed here in the beginning of July and we really liked it. It felt posh and centrally located. Casinos in walking distance and a movie theater right behind the hotel. We really loved the pool, the sitting area was really nice and the hot tub was HUGE!!! The workout room was nice and well equipped. The lobby area had a bar and since it was during the week they had a little snack and free beer and wine hour. The breakfast was fancy with hot made to order items of the day. When we were there it was carne asada eggs Benedict or bacon avocado Benedict...they also had little mini frittatas and bacon. Plus the usual standards of yogurt, pastries, and cereal. The room was nice and clean and I loved that the kitchen was actually equipped with all the things you would need! When we stayed July 1-2 we reserved a king bed with sleeper couch $227 for one night , they ended up giving us a room with two queens and sleeper couch . read more

We stayed here for a week and overall had a good experience. The apartment suite was very convenient! It had a full fridge, stovetop, sink, dishwasher, and was equipped with the basic kitchen appliances, which made it easy to cook and feel at home. The rooftop pool and hot tub were a highlight, the complementary breakfast was good, and having on-site laundry was very helpful. The little store in the lobby was great, it had snacks and essentials like laundry detergent. A couple of downsides: cleanliness could have been better, we don't have a dog, but kept finding dog hair on our clothes, which showed the room wasn't cleaned thoroughly. Also, the gated parking was limited and hard to find after 4pm (though there is public parking right above the lot, which helped). We stayed on the first floor and heard all the cars passing by (it was hot August nights tho), it wasn't a big deal and we weren't bothered by it but if you're someone who is a light sleeper or is bothered by loud noises I'd keep that into consideration. Other than that, the hotel itself was great!! Kid friendly too!! Definitely will be booking again! read more

The room and environment were very clean. However, the size was a bit smaller compared to the regular suites we've stayed in. Breakfast was included, but the quality of the avocado toast varied depending on who prepared it each day. On the first morning, it was simply served with egg and avocado spread, but on the second morning, it was much better, topped with cheese, onion, and bacon. When booking this hotel, the description mentioned a hot tub, but it did not meet expectations--it wasn't hot at all. Additionally, the swimming pool was cold and not heated as advertised. The Element Reno was a good stop for us. It was a 2 night stay for us. We had made reservations months in advanced. Since we would be there on New Year's Eve, we asked if they could give us a room facing downtown so that we could see the fireworks. It took a while, but, the front desk clerk finally found a room on the 2nd floor. Our room was was nice sized. It had 2 queen beds, a sofa, a small workstation, and a kitchen with an electric stove. The bathroom was nice and modern. Soap, shampoo and conditioner were from Pharmacopia. The room was comfortable. Breakfast is served downstairs in the morning. Like other Element properties, they have a chef that cooks the main breakfast dish. They made avocado toast and French toast the mornings that I stayed. In addition to the one dish the chef makes, they also have breads, fruit, yogurt and coffee & juices. Their gym was well equipped with treadmills, ellipticals and weights. The temperture in the gym was very cold the nights I used it. It was a good gym that gave me a good workout. A pool and hot tub are located outside with people using it in the cold weather. Parking is available outside in the parking structure. It was a good property. We enjoyed it. We even got to see fireworks to ring in the New Year. read more

5 stars for decor, cleanliness, location, and parking. 2-3 stars for the paper thin walls and the amount of pets at this location. I know the hotels are pet friendly but I ran into a dog or cat at every turn. I'm not a fan of hair or slobber either. In addition when the pet is allowed to walk right next to where the coffee cups are displayed - that's gross and I don't know why pet owners aren't more considerate of that. The walls are a bit thin and you can hear people talking outside. We were on the fifth floor and I could hear a conversation on the main floor parking lot. The coffee machine was broken and this is a new spot so that was another little pain point. The plus is the infused water - yummy!!! The room itself is ok. Toilet paper holder is very hard to reach. The lights work oddly and the doors aren't the best. read more

Recent stay over a weekend at this clean, well-appointed and spacious hotel. We stayed in a king studio suite and it had lots of room, a large refrigerator, stovetop, microwave and dishes/dishwasher. Bathroom was good size with walk in shower (no tub). The shower could use a mat, floor was very slippery; but water temp and pressure was good. Large sink area with tons of counter space. King bed was comfortable and lots of blankets and soft feather pillows. Tv was large and had a good selection of channels. Couch in room was full size and comfy for hanging out. Kitchenette even included a small island/countertop with 2 barstool. Desk with power under TV for those traveling for work. Lots of usb and regular outlets in the room too. Central heating and air with digital thermostat. Room was a bit dark when big window was closed/covered for privacy. Staff were friendly and attentive. They have breakfast in the morning and apps in the evening included in the room rate. Nice to have ice water and fruit out during the day as desired. We didn't use the pool or gym this trip but location has both. Parking is great with its own garage (2 level). However if you have a trailer outside the garage parking is very limited. After staying a week in a rustic, homey cabin in South Lake Tahoe, it was so nice to come stay somewhere more modern! Even though we were only here for a night, there were some things that we really loved about Element: -Very clean -Sophisticated, modern aesthetic -Free breakfast -Wine, beer, cheese "relax" hour in the evening -Nice amenities - laundry room, gym, pool and hot tub (so surprised people were in the pool in December!), also saw bikes in the lobby but didn't get to use them -Nearby parking garage -Fresh fruit water in lobby -Good location near restaurants, convenience stores, and airport (2 miles) There were, however, a couple minor inconveniences. When I asked someone at the front desk about laundry, she insisted I needed quarters for the machines and proceeded to give me change for $10. When I got up to the laundry room, none of the machines took coins and I realized I could have actually paid via QR code. A bit frustrating to have to carry around a ton of change. Additionally, our late checkout request wasn't noted so our room keys stopped working and we couldn't get into the parking garage. Nothing major, just a bit inconvenient. read more

Looking for a beautiful, modern & clean hotel? Look no further. As you walk in you're greeted with a mid century rustic ambiance with fruit infused water served just to the right of the check-in desk. There's plenty of open seating in the lobby if you need to hang out and wait for any traveling buddies or for an Uber ride. Here's some of the things I enjoyed: -Our tv in our room had a personalized message on it with our name on it, such a great touch! -Pretty good breakfast buffet, which included freshly made crepes w/your choice of strawberries, blueberries, banana as toppings, egg frittatas, bacon, oatmeal station, pastry station with cereal dispensers, bagel & English muffin station, variety of juices and coffee. *Only caveat is that the breakfast dining area is a bit discombobulated -- the layout was a bit odd. The cream cheese for bagels were outside by the drinks, the spoons were only available next to the oatmeal station, napkins were placed in random spots, not next to the main crepe station where there are forks and knives, etc. -Our king bed room included a mini fridge, coffee maker, a sink, microwave, a toaster and mugs. The the bathroom was also very clean and modern with a rainfall shower head. -King bed was comfy and so were the pillows! If you're traveling with a newborn, the standard room was very accommodating. We could heat up water in the coffee maker to warm up our bottle, and store our milk in the freezer. You can also bathe the baby in the sink by padding it with a few towels. Oh, and there was dish soap at the kitchenette sink to wash baby bottles! If we're back in the area, we'll definitely be back! By the way, they have good customer service. This hotel is very noisy. It is a new property but the road noise is unbearable! We picked this hotel because we are elite members it has a lounge and small bites. A good way to relax, right? Nope! The lounge was closed due to staffing. It is not close to the highway and not really close to any of the casinos. If you are a Marriott rewards member - the us no upside to staying here. Plus the will charge you for items that are supposed to be free to elite members. Maybe it is the boutique property experience- if that is case stay at a cheaper hotel with better access that is closer to the highway and/or thw casinos. Btw parking is 15 dollars and they do not have sufficient stalls. read more

I've stayed at a few JW Marriott's which is Marriott's luxury brand. And this hotel felt like a JW Marriott experience. The suites were nice and modern, the bedding and linens were new and high-end, and the breakfast was very good. And the folks in the front desk were so kind and welcoming, greeting me warmly every time I walked past them. They have a nice espresso machine in the lobby. The bar area is a great place to work during the morning and grab a drink in the evening. Oh, and they also had a complimentary happy hour with cheese, olives, etc (I believe this is on weeknights only) Only minor gripe is that you have to pay for parking (which they used to waive for me but now apparently its a standard charge). On the plus side, their garage does have free EV charging including dedicated Tesla superchargers. Overall an excellent stay whenever we ski Mt Rose, which is about 25 mins away. read more

3.5 stars! I had a wonderful stay here for a last minute trip. The hotel was really nice, and from previous reviews the hotel was opened sometime last year around December 2022. The lobby and rooms are very sleek in design. Staff was very friendly, and breakfast (7AM-10AM) was made to order, which was a nice touch. During my stay they served French toast! They also have your usual breakfast items such as bagels, English muffins, cereal, various pastries, etc. Our room was very nice; however with a few caveats. My room was placed on the street side so it was very noisy during the night, I could hear loud motorcycles throughout the night. The room included a small kitchenette area with a microwave and sink with filtered water. I didn't have to go outside of my room to refill my water bottle. The room came with a small coffee machine, but it was very apparent that it was not cleaned. There was still coffee stains all over it, so I don't think it got cleaned well. I didn't use it since the hotel serves 24 hour coffee and tea anyway. Lastly, OMG the shower is a HAZARD!!! The shower floor is very slick and not textured to prevent slipping. It would be nice if the hotel provided with some sort of shower mat. I caught myself slipping a few times using the shower, so proceed with caution. There's no handle bars in the shower, and no shelves to place your toiletries on. Whoever designed these showers did not have safety in mind! The rainfall showerhead is a nice touch though. The pool and hot tub is located on the second floor on the rooftop. There was a donut floatie in the pool and kid floaties provided. It was nice to use the pool area during at night, and you can see the illuminated tree from above. Very pretty! Pool hours are from 6AM-11PM. There is a parking garage for hotel guests near the hotel, you need a hotel key to enter in. On the Marriot website it says it's $10 per day for parking, however I wasn't charged so that was pretty nice. There was ample parking during my stay. I would stay here again in the future, but I'd recommend requesting a room far away from the busy streets. read more

This place has been like a second home to me when I go to Reno. First, the location is great with close proximity to many restaurants and movie theatre right next door. The rooms are always clean. Happy hour is on point and I believe they have it every day. Free breakfast is good and much better than most chains that offer free breakfast. Pool is so nice and hot tub is huge. In the summer they have pool parties outside and we have spent the entire day at the pool. Price is very reasonable and most importantly, the staff are always so nice and accommodating. read more

We had a really refreshing stay at the Element due to the amazing staff. The hospitality of the employees and service was above expectations. In particular, Marta , the GM went above and beyond to ensure she took good care of everyone (including calling me on my cell phone the day before to make sure we had our reservation secure), as well as Koco the Bartender opening early and making amazing drinks! wonderful breakfast included too! I would have given it a 5 star review, except the rooms along the S. Virginia Street are very NOISY. The hotel was sold out and we arrived at 1am, so we were thankful to have a room but it was literally like a drag-strip outside. on a positive note, the room included a cool knob on the nightstand that created a white noise. This combined with ear plugs made sleep possible. read more

The staff was welcoming upon check-in and the process was quick and efficient. I requested for a higher floor and I enjoyed the panoramic views of the mountains. The hotel was very modern, the view of the room was beautiful, the room was clean, spacious, with a kitchen and all the necessities such as a sink, fridge, and microwave. The location was convenient to restaurants, a gas station, casinos and a movie theater across the lot. Either with rain, snow or shine, the shaded parking is favorable. Breakfast is complimentary, fresh fruit water is available at the lobby at all times, and there is an on-site restaurant and bar. I especially love how pet friendly the Element Reno Experience District is. There was a water bowl in the lobby and a patch of turf in the front for the bougie dogs that needs "grass". The front also had a walking area with shade so I don't have to worry about any burned paws from the hot pavement in the summer. I didn't bring my dog during this visit due to the heat, but I will definitely come back again soon with him. read more

While I have not stayed at the hotel, we recently checked out the bar at this hotel. The staff was friendly, everything was exceptionally clean and the design is very cute and modern. The breakfast area looked nice, as well as the main lobby. The pool area looks beautiful as well. We picked this hotel based on location and the fact that it was a new hotel in the area (this also means they aren't fully operational, 5th floor is still closed and the staff is learning the system and ropes.. if you don't care for that, I'd hold off for a few months). The hotel it's self is a classic Element by Westin under the Marriott family. A very classic, nature-influenced environment that makes you feel at home. The lobby was very simple and clean. The staff were very nice and attentive. We originally booked a two queen studio but once we got to to the room, the counters weren't wiped down and it was clearly turned too quickly. I mentioned it to staff and they quickly pivoted and put us in a 1 bedroom king with a pullout sofa two doors down. The room was clean and worked out perfectly for our family of 4. The beds were comfortable, shower water pressure was adequate, parking was $10 (but you can park on the street), and overall we were happy with our stay! We had the complimentary breakfast in the morning.. they had a nice array of beverages, bagels, muffins, scrambled eggs, sausage, a Chobani fruit and yogurt bar, and even a one item cook station. The only thing missing (that is needed) was a water station. The juice, tea, and coffee were nice but water is always appreciated. Family of 4 plus a dog. Love it here, very very much. First the room was clean and it had a small kitchenette so I was very happy to prep a simple meal for us and our dog Luna (GSD). Love the area for walking around and plus Luna has a play area we can make her run and fetch her toy when we are on a walk. My kids love it when and they were able to walk over Century Movie Theater and watch a new movie that is out. Every morning we would have our simple breakfast before we start our day. The Element Reno was thought to be a good stop until the front desk told my family that the room we booked wasn't available, so they gave us a different room .I didn't know it was gonna be a room for disability, so I didn't know what to expect . I thought all the problems stopped there until I got to the room. The bathroom was very dirty and curtains had this yellow stain, and the shower floor was almost black. I took a rag that I usually carry and tried to clean it as best I could, but it was still dirty. I don't even think this element clean there rooms also the bed smell like rotten cheese. read more

My family and I stayed here twice in the last two weeks and are already planning our next stay! This hotel is super convenient for my family because all the rooms have a kitchen and they are pet friendly! We brought along our two pups and they were immediately welcomed with treats, waste bags and even food bowls. I have been a Titanium Elite member for a couple of years, and the staff here at Element are quick to acknowledge status and even offer upgrades. I originally booked a king studio and was upgraded to a bedroom suite both times, and I didn't even need to ask! We're a family of 3 but also wanted to include grandpa in our festivities, and the staff were so quick to being extra towels, blankets, pillows and toiletries. Like within minutes they were at the door! I am a huge sucker for complimentary breakfast. They had a lot of grab and go options to choose from, like bagels, pastries, fruit and cereal; a yogurt station and even a hot food station with eggs and a special. The specials changed daily, we had chicken hash, blueberry crepe and blueberry French toast, YUM. I brought my own wine during the trip since the rooms are equipped with a bottle opener, but there is a lovely bar downstairs if you need something a little more strong. They also had complimentary wine, cheese and crackers in the lobby on one of the nights. My son had a blast playing with their games in the lobby while cheering his juice box with us. There is a ridiculously large hot tub (more like hot pool) on the 2nd floor. I can't wait for the weather to warm up and we get to use it! read more

I would like to start out my professing, I am terrible at writing great reviews for hotels that deserve it. But I will certainly go out of my way to write a bad review for a horrible experience. I would never stay here again. I booked a king suite, with separate bedroom. When I arrive I was given a standard double queen handicap room. With no explanation other than sorry we overbooked. No compensation for the difference, nothing. The offer was a take it or leave it. The unprofessionalism of the front desk is palatable. P.S. This hotel has a fatal flaw that is not the fault of anyone but Westin/Marriott corporate. It is located right near a super busy street (S. Virginia St) and the hotel is not constructed in a way to reduce the sound of the street noise. I have stayed in Marriott hotels for 75+ nights and I have never had a worse noise experience than I had in this one. I'm sure the noise is far less on the side not facing the street, but it's a Jekyll/Hyde coin flip unless you specifically request the other side. The positives are that the hotel is indeed clean and the breakfast is above average for a Marriott property. Plus, they allow you to bring your dog. However, I do think that latter capability is a pretty slippery slope for Marriott because the 2nd floor (where they appear to put most folks in that category) sort of sounds like a kennel at times. read more

This is a good hotel that could be great. We chose it for location and price-both excellent. It's convenient to the city and lake areas. Staff is friendly and tried to help. Lobby, bar, and overall vibe is very appealing. However, there were some misses for us. Rooms-nice but seem boxy. We had 1 bedroom design and both the living area and bedroom were snug. Bed good. Closet good. Kitchen good. Bathroom good. While we attracted to this place because of its 'green' emphasis be aware it's not all it says. Flooring in room is laminate-not wood flooring. Our room had 2 TVs but only 1 remote so to change channels in separate rooms we had to move it. And front desk said they didn't have any extra remotes. We were there 5 nights. After 3, we asked front desk for new towels and for trash to be emptied. The reply was "well you're not scheduled for any housekeeping while you're here since it's so short but we'll see what we can do". Direct quote. Wild. And yes, they did it but we never knew if they would. Biggest disappointment was breakfast, First day we liked it. Then noticed it never changed! Other places we stay change the eggs and meat daily. Not here! And bring your skates. The layout has you crisscrossing the room several times. You toast your bagel and then have to go to another room to get cream cheese. Just weird. We stopped eating here after second day and went to the wonderful Black Bear Diner across the street. Would we stay here again, only if price was lowest. And we likely wouldn't stay at another Element (we stay average of 40 nights/year on the road.). read more
